The Wall Street Journal bestselling Rachel Hatch thriller series continues in a new riveting mystery!
In this the Rachel Hatch Number 10 in the series.

What would I say, well I give this book four stars, first half of the book would be three stars, the second half of the book would be five stars.
A little slow paced for the first half, but could read in between the lines and guessed what was coming. Maybe I have read to many action books or action films.
The pace of the book took off for the second half and the action started.
One series that I have kept up with, with falling behind with so many.
Disappointed. If you’re familiar with the strong Rachel Hatch character from previous novels, you’ll probably be disappointed, too. The writing style is different and unfortunately, the story did not hold my interest. I doubt I’ll be reading anymore novels featuring Rachel Hatch 😟.
Looking back at the cover, there is another name listed in smaller print, Fiona Ryan, under L.T.Ryan’s name. I’m guessing this is one of L.T.Ryan’s daughters or his wife. No information is provided on Fiona Ryan.
Please be sure to check out the reviews by other readers.
Couldn't get over the feeling that much of the writing was thin, like its author was looking to get into the next book. Character development was not up to the usual standards and a bunch of assumptions about past adventures was over-reached. Maybe another 100 pages or so of your customary craftsmanship would have made it work. And speaking of craftsmanship whoever proofread this work was probably using 86 proof! Painful gaffs throughout, as captured in my notes. I understand there's a lot of balls in the air and weddings ain't cheap, but I'd hate to see such a gifted writer get James Pattersonized!!
Rachel Hatch is at a crossroads not knowing what to do. She has lost both of the men she loved. She receives a strange phone call from a friend from her last asking for advice. He hangs up before explaining what he needs help with. Hatch goes to Florida to see her friend only to find out he was dead. Then the fun begins as she tries to find out what happened! L.T. Ryan and Fiona Ryan take on a journey of excitement and betrayal. He sure to read this book because you will not want to put it down! Happy reading! 😊
I have thoroughly enjoyed all of these Hatch books! I love seeing a female hero! This one went way too fast. She’s on the Florida gulf coast for this adventure and it brings back memories of some of my own travels. There’s nothing like the memory of an ocean breeze. She comes awfully close to a dangerous end in this book. She and her close friends are unshakable and they show us how very important and precious each one is.
I was disappointed. The writing was overly descriptive, melodramatic, and clunky in parts. The story was boring. Several times I almost stopped reading and was skimming by the end. Reads like someone else wrote it.
Although this was a disjointed vanilla plot it was enjoyable. You should know that a podium is a raised area upon which sits a lecturn. You don't know this obviously.
Booklovers, this is the last book released in the Rachael Hatch series, bk 10, 'Fastrope.'
As we have learned from the previous books, Hatch is a former Army criminal investigator who has overcome her traumatic past and is ready to embrace her new future. Out of the blue, she receives a call from an old friend; she heads to Florida's panhandle to see if she can help. She finds that she is facing a ruthless enemy and a shocking revelation when she has to face the truth of the choices of some men who should be held with the highest esteem. Fastrope is a gripping and satisfying conclusion to the series that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Don't miss it!
But if you are as hooked as I am on our badass protagonist, don't worry; this is not the end of Rachael Hatch's adventures. Book eleven in the series, 'Sidewinder,' is coming out on April 30th, 2024. In this book, Rachael Hatch must track down a top-tier team of private contractors that mysteriously disappeared. I know I can't wait to dive in, and you won't want to miss this exciting new story, so mark your calendar!
The book may not boast uniqueness in its storyline but certainly shines through its depth and character portrayal.
The plethora of memorable quotes and dialogues peppered throughout the narrative makes it a highlight-worthy read. What truly stands out is the endearing nature of Hatchet's character; amidst her diverse military and physical skillset, it's her warmth and comforting demeanor towards those in need that truly resonates. Yet, she seamlessly transforms into a focused and ruthless persona when faced with adversaries, showcasing the complexities/dynamics of her character.
Ryan's ability to craft such a multifaceted protagonist makes this book a compelling and engaging read.
These books always deliver, much as I wish they wouldn't. Why, you ask? Because every time I read them, I can barely get anything done, and my productivity level drops to "optional." And just when I think I might actually be able to be a productive member of society, they go and release another one. Now, how am I supposed to be responsible, work, parent, take care of everything, when I deeply need to know what happens next? Can they stop being so selfish and writing such amazing books so I can, you know, actually be a responsible human being? Just saying.
This was yet another amazing Hatch story. I appreciated a story with more story line and less descriptive fighting etc. but I am also a wimp and realize that too is an important part of the story. Regardless, Hatch finds herself in another shitstorm and comes out victorious. Twists and turns- some leaving me guessing to near the end- and everything comping together in a tidy little bundle of justice. Fantastic story telling, characters, and a small glimpse that acknowledges Hatch is human. I can’t wait to see what happens next!
Rachel Hatch cannot turn down a fiend or a goid person in need. But when she goes looking for a missing woman, and finds out she might be connected to her dead friend, she doesn't stop looking for answers. This time Rzchel may not get away free. Lee and Fiona Ryan have written another suspenful novel about Hatch. Everytime I start reading one of these books, I can't put it down. My day's plans will be put on the back burner, because I just cannot stop reading. Keep up the wonderful work!
While waiting for the newest Joe Pickett book to be released, I wanted to read something that I could read quickly, and the last of the Rachel Hatch Series, “Fastrope” by L. T. Ryan, was the perfect remedy. It is only 228 pages filled with noble actions, people with principles, and some really evil people in opposition to them. Hatch answers a call for help from an old military colleague, and with the help of a dogged police detective, dig until the criminals are unearthed. This was one of Ryan’s better storylines in this series.
Rachel Hatch is back home, but her life is undecided. She wants to stay with her family, but things have a way of coming to Hatch. When one of her military friends calls Hatch to ask for help, his call is cut off and now she is worried there is something wrong since she can't get back in touch with him. So, in typical, Hatch way, she is on the way to see him and see if everything is okay.
When Hatch lands and goes to his house, she finds that things are not okay and she is now thrown into an investigation and murder. One, addition, Hatch gets a code name!!!
Rachel Hatch is at it again. A brother in arms is in trouble and Hatch is compelled to get to the bottom of things. Who can she trust? Why do some accounts of the events seem “off”?
This fast paced thriller draws ones attention and won’t let go. The characters are so engaging and we’re really getting to know them all much better. Get your copy of Fastrope today - You’ll be glad you did!
Rachel leaves Oregon and heads home to Colorado to spend time with family. She received a call from an old friend, Jeff Ryker, A Marine stationed in Panama City, Florida. The call ends abruptly. She arrives the next day to find he's dead. Lots of twists and turns but she finds his killers and saves a lot of innocent people. Love this author, he's great. His stories are must read.
Another good book in the Rachel Hatch series. Leaving behind her family again because a friend called needing her help. Hatch arrived to discover her friend died in a training accident. Over breakfast the next morning she found herself telling a young waitress she would fine her missing Aunt. As Tracy had been saying to her earlier, you seem to walk into a shitstorm at almost every move. And, so the story continues
This a book in an excellent series. It could be read as a stand alone book but, the reader benefits from having read other books in the series. The story is fast paced with action throughout. I have read the entire series to this point and if this isn’t the best of the series it is close. Hatch is a great investigator and all of the characters are believable and great, even the villains.
As always, Rachel Hatch finds her way into danger. Betrayal, money and crime team up to create havoc in the lives of the innocent and guilty. Rachel is a fighter with a code inherited from her father. Packed with intrigue and emotion. If you like Rachel Hatch, you will love this book.
This latest in the Rachel Hatch series is excellent as always. At loose ends, Rachel follows up on a call from an old colleague. Trouble follows. Hatch meets good people and works hard to save lives. I’m looking forward to book 11….just wish it wasn’t a year away!
…it felt rushed somehow. Nothing major, Hatch is great protagonist. The world of fiction could use a lot more kick-ass women like her. We’ve all had our fill of men being strong and capable.
I’ll probably continue reading Hatch stories as long as they’re being published.
find the words to describe a book, with so much going for it?!? This isn't my first book from L.T. Ryan and far from the last. If you like books that hold your attention and keep you so enthralled your family has cold cereal to dinner!? Ok, maybe not but close. Please read this book. You won't regret it. Thank you too, for having it in Kindle Unlimited.
I really enjoyed these books. I was very angry about the men in her life. I almost stopped reading them, doesn't Hatch deserve some happiness I her life. I would recommend this series it is fast paced. I can finish a book a day. I couldn't put them down, if I did I thought about what was going to happen next.
Action packed, riveting, exciting... Can't say enough! I am so anxious to read the next book. Rachel's call sign is now Hawk, very good fit I hope it sticks. The Savage story kind of left dangling. Maybe a little more detail will come in future books. Maybe the pregnant woman was not his love interest?
Rachel gets a call from a friend and he sounds worried. It worried her enough to get across country to checkout the situation. The next day, Rachel meets his widow. That’s when this fast paced mystery starts moving. A very intriguing mystery, testing Rachel at every step. Sit down, turn off the phone, enjoy the ride.
Hatch had a call from a friend who lived in Florida. The reception was bad and she knew he was upset and worried. The following day Hatch flew to Florida only to find out her friend had died the previous night. She talked to many people and followed twisted leads to the conclusion.
Horrible dreck! Were all of the Hatch books this crummy and I didn't notice? What is with the flowery descriptions and so little action? This book was exceptionally bad. Every sentence doesn't need to be described with such emotion...
A excellent story continued about Hatchs movement thru life after her medical retirement from the army. Shes still going thru life trying to figure out what she is meant to do. She realize that the hesitation of finding or giving into love has caused her to question her life, but she continues to search for a future by trying to help anyone that needs help.
This is decidely the best of this series! Each book brings in new adventures, new friends and unfortunately new enemies! It's hard to give a fair grade to something that deserves much better!
Rachel gets involved in something she isn't sure of but warning signs are prominent. Santiago a police officer goes out on a limb in a double homicide case and everything runs together for both women.
