Marios Mantzos is a journalist and author from Patras, Greece. He has worked for various newspapers, websites, podcasts and sports associations and has dedicated his life to writing about football.

"The Social One: Why Jürgen Klopp Was a Perfect Fit for Liverpool", first published in Greek in 2020 and in English by Pitch Publishing in 2023, was his first ever book, before "Turning Points: Moments That Defined Football History" which is about to be published by Pitch in 2025.

He is a life-long Liverpool FC fan and long-distance runner for Greek club Apollon Smyrnis.

Just finished the Greek edition, which I really enjoyed. I think this book deserves to be published in English. Unique way of analyzing Klopp as manager of LFC. I totally recommend it.

A must-own book for every scouser out there, as the book not only analyzes the Klopp Effect, but also goes deep down to the roots of Liverpool as club, from Bob Shankly and Kenny Dalglish to Brendan Rodgers, and the philosophy of each manager at football and life.

You will not regret buying this excellent read, even if you are not a Liverpool fan.
Although, it may change you to be one of us.

It underlines the importart role Klopp has played off the the pitch too, by making the fans believe again and unite them under one greater purpose.
