I absolutely loved this terrible trio of tyrant thugs in Triple Threat! Sparrow, Sully, and the psycho Scout, under the guidance of their Morelli uncle, sends the triplets on a job to infiltrate the Croft family, but specifically Landry, the daughter of the tech magnate. But Landry is hiding what happens behind closed doors. And poor Della, her sister, breaks my heart with her plight in life. It was devastating and heart wrenching. But chaos ensues because when these crazy triplets focus on a female it is not a good thing. I love these wonderful stories of the Midnight Dynasty! What an amazing conclusion to this duet in Death Wish. This terrible trio have given us so much chaos and angst but are they are so very delicious 😋 Landry has so many secrets but she will gladly hold them all inside of it means she can save Della. I changed my opinion about Scout, I am Team Scout forever and ever! K Webster consistently gives us characters to love but also characters we love to hate. She puts so much passion and emotion into her stories that the reader is experiencing the words in real time.
(Thank you Candi Kane PR and the author K. Webster for the eARC in exchange for an honest review)
This is my first series from the author, I have many books that I want to read but this looked rather different than those books in my tbr so I applied for the ARC.
I understand this is collection of the two books in the series. What I didn’t know was that it was connected to a bigger series and it didn’t help the confusion at all.
Reverse harem being one of my most read themes of dark romance, I expected these two books to be good but I honestly caught no head or tail. I couldn’t feel the chemistry between them and it felt too draggy to read sometimes although the book itself was not long. They were supposed to be a family but I was more confused about their family dynamics then their actual connection.
Overall, not what I expected and a little disappointed but this series does have a lot of good reviews so maybe it is just not my cup of tea! I’m still looking forward to her other books in my tbr though.
I read these two stories individually when they released in January and March earlier this year and once again earlier this month as a boxset. Nothing changed for me in how I felt about the storyline and its unfolding so I’m not going to re-write my thoughts. I’ll just simply copy/paste for your convenience.
TRIPLE THREAT (Book 1) 5 STARS
Me Review: bbbwaaaaaaahahahahahahahahaha .... ya'll, seriously *dries tears of laughter* you ain't ready!
Sidebar: If you plan on going on this journey, I would stop reading reviews and just dive in #trust
#villainsforthewin
Now that it’s release day, I’m gonna share a few things :)
If you’re new to the world(s) of K Webster, I wouldn’t exactly say this is not a good place to begin, but if you decide to begin here, just be aware that the triplets/villains of the story were introduced in the Cinderella trilogy and there might be some spoilers of that story ahead.
I’m not new to the word wizardry that is K Webster. I have read a good number of stories written by her with all kinds of themes and tropes and every time I read a new one, I fall a little bit more in love with her brain. It is spectacular how she can take a story where you pretty much already know the darkness yet make you completely apprehensive and #twitchy getting there! She is a master at her craft, and she does it repeatedly with all her stories!
The aspect of Triple Threat I liked best is the redemption or rather the growth of the triplets. The storyline isn’t that surprising, imo, but these three men captured my mind and held on to it. I don’t know exactly where K Webster is taking this story just yet. I know where I want her to take it but she’s probably going to surprise us all and upheave this entire story in the next book, Death Wish, because that’s what she does best!! And I am here for ALL OF IT!
DEATH WISH (Book 2) 2 STARS
I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I think this storyline would have gone much better had it been a trilogy instead of a duet. The main reason I say this is because the Triplets needed a lot more page time for me to believe in them. Don’t get me wrong, I was on my way to believing in them after I read Triple Threat but then the story went south for me. There’s entirely too much time dedicated to turmoil and conflict between the twins that it left very little to the growth of their relationship with Landry. Honestly, Della stole the show for me LOL Without her I may have given up on this altogether *shrug*
Well, this did not go as I thought it would, but you obviously have to read it if you want to keep up with the Constantine/Morelli world, and it’s not a complete wash; I just think it would have done better with more development so therefor as a trilogy.
Overall, this duet is a solid 3.5 stars (but not solid enough to round up to 4) with book 1 blowing my mind and this one ... not so much LOL Do with that info what you will :)
Triple Threat (5+ Stars) Top Read She did it! She made fall for the spoiled, terrible trio! Do you want to hate the villian? Too bad…you’re gonna love them! Landry Croft goes from one being stuck in one web to a completely different one in this enemies/dark RH romance. Trying to protect her sister from dear old dad, she becomes a pawn in a much bigger game. These terror triplets are the epitome of bad yet you might change your tune when the Mannford brothers come out to play. We first met these boys in the Cinderella Trilogy. Sully Sparrow & Scout Mannford are Bryant Morelli’s nephews and when the Morellis’ are around the Constantines’ aren’t far behind. This is part of the midnight dynasty world where these two warring families continue to torment each other. I devoured this story! Every character was so well written and piqued my interest for more. I need book two stat and this does end in a doozy of a cliffhanger. A definite top read!!! Told in multiple pov
Death Wish (5 Stars) The Terror Triplets are back and wrecking more havoc on People’s lives….and possibly their hearts. Picking up right where book one left us Landry is left in quite the predicament. Can she find safety for her sister and herself? Will Scout, Sparrow & Sully ever find redemption for their behavior? Do we want them to be redeemed? Hahaha.. Jump back in the midnight dynasty twisted world of vengeance and lies. It’s fascinating getting into Scout’s demented mind and I need more! Each character is full of life and comes off the pages. Are you ready to choose your favorite triplet or have them all? Get ready for a steamy RH between these four! This book also deals with a difficult topic that might be triggering for some. Told in multiple POV
I absolutely loved this book! It wasn't as dark as I expected it to be, though it dwdi ately has its dark parts! I loved our terrible trio, they have such different personalities, but all working together like cogs in a wheel. It was great!
This was quite a saucy book but also had great depth and flow, just what I expect from a K. Webster book.
I could not put it down. I really hope we get more from this world. :D
This duo will have you so entranced that you won't be able to put this down. The terror triplets have it out for Landry and plan on acting like they are one person like most multiple children do. They really had her going to.
Landry's life is no fairytale. Her father is a horrible human being who treats people like garbage unless he can use them. Landry's little sister is deaf and he makes sure she knows to him she is nothing.
Eventually, the twins show her how they aren't one person but triplets who have been tricking her. They all have found out she is the one for all of them, they all fall in love with Landry.
These men have grown and realize how they treated Landry was horrible, but they want her to let them fix it.
You see a different side of Landry that I think she didn't know she had, until she had to have the strength. I absolutely loved this book and highly recommend to read it!
DNF. I just never cared about any of the characters and the dynamics felt very repetitive in a way that meant I wasn’t going to care. I made it a third of the way through, hoping it would improve for me but even after she met the third brother I just wasn’t pulled in. It’s clear pretty quickly into the book that it’s part of a larger series, which isn’t something I generally mind and didn’t made a big difference for me here. It’s written in a way where I got the gist of the back story and secondary/tertiary characters without feeling like I was missing out on significantly important information or context. It was the primary characters that just didn’t capture my attention or seem to become human enough for me to keep going.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.

Deception is the two books put together into one book. Triple Threat and Death Wish. This is a dark romance and you are going to want to heed the warnings in the beginning of the book. This book will contain triggers for some readers. Triple Threat is the story of Laundry who has a way way overprotective dad. But even as I write that I feel like there is way more to that relationship than what we are getting in this first book. Her father really really gave me the heebie jeebies reading this book. The way he treats Laundry is crazy but he is super mean and I just couldn't stomach how he treated her little sister Della for even being born much less being born deaf!! He is the man you are going to hate with a passion that burns bright. But the man does have plans and marrying a Constantine is his plan so he decides that she can date and if she does this for him he will let her go to school. But when the Constantine's are involved you know that a Morelli is not going to be very far behind. This is where the Terror Triplets come in and I had to kind of shake my head and wonder how in the world K Webster was going to make me fall for these guys when in the last series that were the absolute worst human beings possible. But now I have to say maybe they might have been a little misunderstood but that still doesn't take away how horrible they were. Bryant Morelli pulls their stings now and he has them trapped much like Landry is and there job is to get to know her and everything there is to know about here. One becomes her school mate, one teaches Della to read lips and the other well he is the man who well.....read and find out. I don't wanna go to deep into the story or I am going to give something away. In Death Wish we find that Landry has ran with her sister and think that the home she is going to is Ty Constantine's and that she and her sister will be safe. What she never expects is to find out the men who she has met in class, the one who tutors Della and who is friends with Ty Constantine is not just one person but three triplets. I can just imagine the shock and they all three are as different as night and day but she is terrified and can't believe they have lied to her. They all three love her and have agreed that she is the woman for all of them but things are about to get crazy!! As much as I am dying to tell you what happens and what I loved and why, I can't. That would be some huge spoilers to reveal. What I will say was this book held my attention. I really liked the Terror Triplets so much more than I ever thought I would. I loved them actually and if you had asked me if that was going to happen I would have told you never in a million years. I loved that they had grown up and that they had become these guys who saw what they did to Ash was wrong and I do believe that they grew to regret being so terrible. I think Laundry might just have her hands full forever. Della, oh gosh that child is a wild woman but she stole me heart and the show a time or two. I don't think I have felt so sorry for a little girl while reading a book ever. But Della, oh how I wanted to just go and rescue her and make sure she and Laundry are safe and loved. I loved too that we get to see a side of Laundry that I'm not sure she knew she possessed until she needed to have the strength to do what she had to do. I loved this book and you guys are going to love it too.
“My life is perfect. It has to be because he designed it that way. I am just one shiny part in the Croft world–glittering like spun gold for all to see. And they will. It’s why I exist. To be a trophy displayed to the world. Beautiful, polite, intelligent, poised, elegant. I am everything he demands I be. Never do I argue or resist his impossible demands.”
This was an incredibly wild and entertaining ride–just dark enough to make you squirm but full of spice, intrigue, and adrenaline to keep your heart pumping and your hands turning the pages. K Webster added yet another brilliant installment into the Midnight Dynasty world and now that I’ve had a taste, I need more–I can’t wait to go back and read her Stroke of Midnight Series to get more backstory on the supporting characters and Terror Triplets.
My heart was absolutely broken for Landry. She’s smart, intelligent, and fierce, yet so utterly broken. While she may appear to have everything she could ever want from the outside, all she truly desired was for her and Della to be safe from the abuse they endured at the hands of their father. I had a hard time stomaching some of the dialogue with their father and found myself thankful that despite Della still knowing what was happening, she thankfully couldn’t hear most of the cruel words said to her. I loved how protective Landry was of her and was so grateful that they had each other when all else failed.
I was so intrigued by the concept of a FMC falling for one morally grey character only to find out, it’s actually three and they’re very very charcoal. The Terror Triplets were so wonderfully unique in each of their personalities and I loved how they interacted with one another, as well as how they had their own ways of handling Landry–which she quickly began to catch onto, though she couldn’t pinpoint why. The cliffhanger was intense and I’m so excited to see how this all plays out in Death Wish. I am CRAVING a sweet HEA but know that K Webster is going to make us work for it first.
Death Wish 5⭐️ 4🌶️
“Sparrow is the real Ford, she says with her hands, as though that’s obvious. Sparrow is the dummy. Scout is the maid.”
Well, the cat’s out of the bag...and I’m not talking about Heathen. Death Wish blew me out of the water and my expectations were already pretty high coming straight off of Triple Threat. I loved both Della and Landry’s reactions to Ford Man turning out to actually be the Manford Triplets and became obsessed with watching their relationships grow. The ease at which they integrated themselves together (and the white hot spice that ensued) was fantastic and it melted my heart that each of the triplets also built their own special connection with Della, who so desperately needed a caring male role model in her life. The banter between the triplets and Landry, as well as amongst themselves, was also right on point. I also was so pleasantly surprised by the triplets’ and Landry’s relationship with Ty and was so happy to see this continue as the story progressed.
“I allow myself to fantasize about a life where there isn’t a villainous father I’m hiding from. Just me, my three assholes, and my little sister. It feels a lot like happiness. A lot like home.”
I finally got the HEA I was craving but WOW did K Webster put us through the ringer first. I did not see the climax of the action coming whatsoever. Bryant Morelli is always good for a cruel plot twist and this was no exception, though that absolutely wasn’t the worst of it and the depths to which the abuse and darkness had occurred prior to finally being revealed left me utterly wrecked. I soaked up the sweetness of the epilogue and found it was a perfect ending for this dark, twisty story. I hope this isn’t the last we see of this family and I’m begging for Ty’s story next because I absolutely adored him in this.
Webster’s Cinderella Trilogy completely captivated me, so I was eager to read her Deception Duet and it exceeded my expectations. This explosive dark romance was filled with secrets, steamy scenes, along with twists and turns to keep you reading until the very end!
Starting off with the first book, Triple Threat, we are introduced to media heiress Landry Croft. Having grown up surrounded by wealth and privilege, Landry has been groomed to be everything her dad demands her to be. Though nothing is what it seems, behind the perfect facade that’s supposed to be her life, darkness lurks filled with secrets and nightmares. Landry is a pretty doll living in a golden cage, but she has a plan to leave her life once and for all. Yet, she what wasn’t expecting for her plans to take a different turn the minute she meets, Ford Mann. He is everywhere she goes, and although she senses something off about him, Landry can’t help but to trust him fully. The attraction is there and the more time she spends with him, the more she yearns for her live to be different. It would take for her life to be at stake for her to truly find out what Ford has been keeping from her all along.
For Sully, Sparrow and Scout, live has never been the same the minute the Constantines destroyed their future. It doesn’t help that they are also related to the Morellis making them collateral damage when it comes to being in the middle of the both powerful families. When their lives changed, Bryant Morelli, used that opportunity to make the triplets work for him. They might have everything, except for their freedom. Until they are given a task that they can’t refuse, to get close to reclusive heiress Landry Croft and get what they’ve always wanted in return. A task that should have been simple turns out to be so much more the minute they get to know Landry. She is different than they thought she would be and that makes her very desirable for the three brothers. They soon find out what Landry has been though and they vow to protect her no matter what.
In Death Wish, new obstacles come their way as Landry finds out the truth behind Ford Mann. She is trapped once again and with nowhere to go, Landry has no choice but to hear what the triplets have to say. Each of them is unique in their own way and feelings start to develop. Until they find themselves in the middle of the Morelli and Constantine drama, leaving them no choice but to fight back. There are secrets that have yet to be uncovered, secrets that could change the course of their lives forever.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading Deception! Webster did a great job giving us a clear picture of each character and their personality. The first book gives us a solid foundation of the story and the conflict that brings everyone together. While in the second book, there is a lot more action and we get to see some of the Constantines and Morellis make cameos as well. Although the duet can be read as a standalone, it is recommended that you read at least the Cinderella Trilogy (from the Midnight Dynasty Series) to give you a glimpse of the triplets. They start off as villains, but soon redeem themselves in this story and become Landry’s heroes. Although they might live in the world of luxury, they are all fighting for their freedom and it’s through twists and turns that they are able to get their happily-ever-after. I cannot recommend this duet enough, the shocking twists at the end gave me the chills! It’s a must-read! :)
***I received an advanced copy from the publisher. All opinions are my own.***
In this book the author introduces the reader to the triplets. Scout, Sparrow and Sully. They are the nephews of Bryant Morelli. They live an extravagant lifestyle because of him. And because of that he has them under his thumb and doing his bidding. One of his commends is for them to scheme and plot against Landry Croft. Landry lives in an extraordinary penthouse. Is rich beyond belief. Beautiful, caring and loving. But not everything is as it seems. This broken girl is like a rare bird trapped in a gold cage. The plot and storyline is excited and nerve wracking. I was either on the edge of my seat with my heart thumping wildly. Or I was fanning myself and blushing. Ms. Webster masterfully fleshes out all the characters. I got to know each one. And their different personalities and qualities, especially of course the triplets. She gives descriptive details of their past and what they went through. To shape who they have become now. I adored the triplets. Each one is so very different from the others. But what unites them is their love and their brotherly bond. I admired Landry so much. She’s so loyal and protective. She is selfless and puts herself second to her sister, Della. This story is fast paced and gripping. It’s emotional and brought out so many feeling from me. I laughed, cried, was happy, was sad but through it all I still had faith and hope in the triplets. But with that scary ending I’m not sure if I placed too much trust in them. I also have to say I absolutely loved Della and Heathen. Oh goodness I laughed so hard with their antics. They gave me so much delight. They also have the story some lightheartedness.
Death Wish 4/5 stars The triplets are fighting against time from the threats coming from every direction. Landry is finally starting to feel safe and Della is happy. Until things once again coming crashing down on their heads. Landry changed somewhat in this book. I know she’s been dragged into hell and is still burning there. But her attitude towards the brothers was misplaced and bratty in my opinion. But she’s still the tough determined young lady with a sound of steel. Defining and protecting her baby sister. Wow Scout shocked me the hell out of me! He was the least stable, unpredictable and dangerous. But he stunned me and stole a piece of my heart. Della and Heathen are still the cute little demons I love. The plot took a twist that took me by surprise. And gave more intensity to an already gripping story. That scene with Alexander and Landry broke my heart and devastated my soul. Looks can be deceiving and deceptive and many characters here are not what society sees.
I enjoyed these two books and I’m glad Ms. Webster put them together in a boxset. Finished Triple Threat and dived right into Death Wish.
Holy mother of hotness this book is the trifecta of hot stories! AND… THE BEST WAY OF ENJOYING IT IS BY BUNDLING THESE two full length novels of TRIPLE THREAT and DEATH WISH. Intense, suspenseful and brimming with a twisted sense of humor, I was hooked.
The surprise twists and falling in love with a psychopath are just a few of the moments you’ll enjoy reading this book!!
Three brothers summoned to do a special job in order to get… their future back? Under the watchful eye of their Mafioso “uncle”, they are instructed to “infiltrate” the life of a powerful business rival…but not the business king…his daughter! Oh, and these are not just 3 brothers but identical triplets! Oh oh, and HOW they are to infiltrate was priceless!
That’s where the fun begins with this suspenseful, and wickedly twisted story. These triplets are evil on steroids and despite their mission to destroy… something else happens. I had not read the Cinderella trilogy where these characters were first introduced, so I had no idea what they were like. I think this helped me get even more intrigued by these characters, cause I had no idea what to expect. Expect the unexpected a la K. Webster style. Dark and sinfully suspenseful, the build up was like peeling off layers of an onion. Told on 4 POV, every chapter unlocked a secret about these characters.
Meeting Landry Croft was supposed to be one thing, not what they encountered. On the other hand, Landry has no idea what she’s gotten herself into when she meets and befriends Ford Mann aka Sparrow, Sully and Scout. They each bring something different after every encounter and while she may be naive, she knows darkness, and she trusts her suspicions. Landry also has some steel cojones that makes her the perfect match for them. They are the ones with an even bigger surprise.
The build up, the suspense and the outcome of this journey, made this story irresistibly delicious!
These characters became sexier, more passionate and shall I say even more likable!
Roles are reversed as this exciting and intense story developed and evolves. Sully, Sparrow, and Scout are three terrifying twisted kinky brothers, yet, with Landry and Della they redeem themselves in ways I never imagined.
That was such a fun and wild ride! I really loved the concept of the FMC falling for one guy, but that guy ends up being triplets. The fact that she can tell them all apart, but has absolutely no clue and thinks (they) have DID was quite hilarious. They really are so different and I love how that plays into the storyline so well.
My heart breaks for Landry so much during this story... I just want to scoop her and Della up and run away with them, giving them the life they deserve. Poor, poor Della... No 6yr old should ever have to deal with a dad like him. I guess the one saving grace is that she can't hear most of the horrendous things he says to her...
I am really excited for Death Wish. The cliffhanger at the end of Triple Threat was intense. So much happened in such a short time and I have no clue what's going to happen with Landry when we get back to the story.
Death Wish 5/5 ⭐ 4/5 🌶️
Death Wish exceeded all of my expectations, and they weren't low after Triple Threat. The conclusion to the Deception Duet was thrilling, heartbreaking and adorably sweet. I loved watching Landry fall for the Terror Triplets.
The growth of the triplets was really exciting to watch, especially with Della, Ty and Bryant. I expected what we got for Landry and even Della, but the friendship they all (L+D as well) had with Ty was so surprising and I loved it. I think I forgot how cruel Bryant really is, but he reminded me and the triplets in this one...
I had my suspicions, but finding out that Landry's father's abuse went as far as it did in concrete words broke my heart... I just wanted to pull her and Della from the pages and give them my love. I'm so happy that their found family was a million times better than the one they were born into. The climax was definitely not the route I saw this book going, but I loved it more than my theories could have ever amounted to. And the epilogue brought all the happy tears to my eyes, it was such a perfect ending for these five.
I'm really hoping we get Ty's story soon, because I fell pretty hard for him too!
DISCLAIMER: I WOULD SUGGEST READING CINDERELLA TRILOGY BY K WEBSTER BEFORE READING THIS! I SHOULD HAVE DONE THAT.
I received an arc for my honest review of this duet.
I was a little confused going in to this book as I know the Mannford Triplets made appearances in another Trilogy so I felt that I was maybe missing some information on their backstory and I hadn't read it prior to this duet. Nevertheless, I continued on with the duet.
Sparrow, Scout and Sully are tasked with getting information for their "Uncle" and their mission is to deceive Landry into thinking they are one person and to get her family secrets. This took me a little while to get into but eventually I did and I enjoyed the story.
I loved that this book was told in multiple POV's. Sully, Sparrow and Scout each had a role to play and they played it great. I felt so bad for Landry, she did not have it easy and I still have questions regarding her father but I'm sure we will get these in book 2.
"GET THEM WET," I ORDER, BENDING HER BODY WITH THE FORCE OF MY OWN AS I LEAN AGAINST HER. "AND DON'T BITE THIS TIME. YOU WONT LIKE WHERE I BITE BACK." 🥵 Little snippet of scout 🥰
That cliffhanger though 😱 so glad I could dive right into book 2.
Death Wish (Book 2) Rating: 🌟🌟🌟 Spice: 🌶🌶🌶
Book 2 starts right after book 1 ends and ITS good! I love all three of the boys, in book 1 Sparrow was my favourite but I have a big soft spot in my heart for Scout 😍
I enjoyed this book a lot more than book 1. I really liked Landry in this book, she definitely came out of her shell once she got away from the one holding her life in his hands! Kept me in Suspense needing answers to certain things! A definitely enjoyable read and the spice was nice as well.
Della was also an adorable little rugrat 🥰
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Deception is the combination of Triple Threat and Death Wish, the Deception Duet.
Sparrow, Sully and Scout. The Terror Triplets. They reign over New York society with cruelty and intimidation. Will they be able to do the same with Landry Croft?
Gah! Poor Della! I just wanted to wrap her up and hide her away. The absolute wtf about the cards dealt to her just broke my heart.
Landry is no wilting flower. She is willing to do ANYTHING to save her sister from the world, and her father. They both go through some kind of hell, but Landry takes the worst of it and it truly is sickening.
I wasn't familiar with the Triplets as I haven't read the Cinderella trilogy, so I thrown in head first. These boys are the epitome of morally grey (gray?) characters. They intend to infiltrate Landry's father's business and nothing will stop them.
And Heathen? OMG! With Della, it's the levity that is so desperately needed within these books.
One thing that I have always appreciated about K Webster's writing is that she doesn't skimp on details. We don't wonder what happens in Landry's & Della's lives or behind closed doors. We don't have to make guesses about the Triplets' past. She lays it all out for us, sometimes in gory detail.
As always with Webster's books, this duet took me for a wild ride. There was no figuring things out in advance. There were surprises at every point when I could have thought that I was on top of the plot. I had my heart shredded more than once and I was left aching with a massive book hangover but I don't regret a second of it.
Always check the TW/CW: 💥mental health 💥kidnapping 💥physical abuse 💥SA (in the past/off page) 💥miscarriage 💥murder
Anywho! Time to wrap this up with the goodies: Read: 4🌟🌟🌟🌟 Spice: 4 🌶🌶🌶🌶 HEA
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
This is an amazing duet boxset which comprises of the following novels:- #1 Triple Threat This is the first part of a duet, and my word, this gifted author has done a phenomenal job in crafting this tale. Landry has had a tough life and is the daughter of a billionaire, and she will do anything to protect her little sister, even if it means continuing to live in hell. Sully, Sparrow, and Scout are identical triplets who have a dark side, and they lead a privileged life, until everything was taken away from them, and they are now living under their uncle’s thumb. This is a well written fast paced story which has complex and flawed characters, and is dark, raw, gritty, and with twists, suspense, danger, intrigue, and emotions, which leads to a riveting page turner #2 Death Wish This is the second part of this incredible duet and continues straight on from when the first book ended. Landy is determined to get her sister Della away from her controlling, cruel and abusive billionaire father, and when I was thinking the worst about the terror triplets, they go and redeem themselves. Sully, Sparrow, and Scout are determined to protect Landry and Della and keep them safe by any means necessary. This is a well written story which is dark, raw, gritty, and with secrets, passion, emotions, suspense, danger, intrigue, witty banter, friendships, twists, redemption, obsession, vengeance, and love, which all leads to a riveting and addictive page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
𝘿𝙚𝙘𝙚𝙥𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 is a collection of two full length novels by the bestselling author K Webster. 𝘿𝙚𝙘𝙚𝙥𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 includes the previously published 𝘋𝘦𝘤𝘦𝘱𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘋𝘶𝘦𝘵 books: 𝙏𝙧𝙞𝙥𝙡𝙚 𝙏𝙝𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩 and 𝘿𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙝 𝙒𝙞𝙨𝙝.
This duet took me on a wild ride. This is the first book(s) I read by K. Wester and I am forever inlove with her writting style. This story had it all. Amazing character building and amazing world building. After I read this duet I will for sure be going back to read her Cinderella trilogy. It has been on my TBR List for a while and now is the perfect time to read it.
Overall, I recommend this duet to all of my dark romance lovers. This duet will take you on quite a ride.
Three brothers, one target, a nasty plan that turns totally erotic! Triple Threat and Death Wish are here for you in the deceptive collab!
ARC Review of Triple Threat by K. Webster * * * * * I am in need of more! That ending! The whole story was just one huge twist with a poor girl who is taken for a whirl in her already wildly complicated. Stuck in her glass prison with an unstable abusive father to protect her little sister, she is now in the clutches of three brothers a triple threat when they are together, who are part of another man's game. A must read!
ARC Review of Death Wish by K Webster * * * * * The intense conclusion in this duet that has your stomach turning, heart thundering and emotions raging in a high from the severe drama and wild plot twists. Laundry knows that Ford does not exist, and is in fact three brothers with the same face, but completely different in other capacities. Now they have her and Della, and it's a confliction for her to say they are protecting her rather than holding her captive. Landry's father is hunting her down, and it is terrifying for all to what the consequences are to be when he has her. But not matter what, Goldilocks will always have her big bad bears. A taboo dark read that will have you on edge to the end.
Deception is the duet that includes Triple Threat and Death Wish. I absolutely loved this book! It grabbed my attention from the very beginning and I couldn’t put it down! My heart was breaking for Landry and everything that she had gone through. And Della, having to know your father hates you because you have a disability! Heartbreaking! But her sassy attitude was fun to see and I really hope she gets her own story some day! I loved the growth that Landry had through the story. The guys really helped her discover how strong she truly was. They might have saved her but she also saved them! They might have been a ruthless trio but the way they were with the sisters was what won me over for them!
This book gives you angst, heartbreak, secrets, suspense, twists, revenge, and spice all wrapped up with a happily ever after! It will have you hooked from the first chapter and keep you on the edge of your seat. If you like dark (but not too dark) RH, three sexy broody triplets, and a sassy and strong heroine then this book is for you! Highly recommend!
Scout, Sparrow and Sully make the perfect trio. Each one given a job to infiltrate the family, they see what really goes on behind closed doors. When they start coming to tutor Della, Landry meets them — even though she believes it’s only one person.
Her dad only used Landry as a pawn in his cruel games. They grew to care for her. Keeping her occupied with Ty, he leaves himself open.
In the second half, Landry and Della finally meet all three of the triplets. I loved the way they melted for her, taking revenge over things that shouldn’t have happened.
The secrets, the brutality? Delicious. The plot was so hot and heavy, twists and turns at every corner and more. I fell head over heels for Scout. What can I say? I like them crazy.
I love that she put both halves into one omnibus, where you can just continue reading without having to pause to pull the second book out. The transition between the two books is seamless and flows like honey. I think the omnibus gives the book what it’s really needed.
Highly recommend. It kept my attention from the beginning all the way to the end.
This is the 1st time reading this author and I really enjoyed this duet. Its dark and intense. The trio are terrible they really are and they do some terrible things to Laundry but somewhere along the line we find they fall for her and instead of trying to ruin her they do everything in their power to protect her. This duet is very fast paced and it is scorching hot and I couldnt read fast enough.
REVIEW BY LESLEY
This is the first book by this author that I have read and it doesnt disappoint. I really enjoyed this story. The billionaire and the wedding planner who end up in a fake wedding that is very convenient for the both of them without the hang up of love or so they thought. They don’t travel light on their journey there are quite a few ups and downs before they reach their final destination. We find they both have major secrets, secrets that made me want to cry for them. It wasnt all sad there was a lot of lol moments and a lot of scorching hot moments. Looking forward to the next one.
Deception by K. Webter is the Deception Duet. This is story of Landry Croft, Sully, Sparrow and Scout Mannford. If you read the series Skyskraper Cinderella then you would have already been introduced to the Mannford triplets Sully, Sparrow and Scout. But you don't have to had read that series to be fully invested in this one. Sully, Sparrow and Scout are the anti-hero who by their past created their dark future. There uncle, Bryant Morelli leads the men and he has sent them on a mission to mess with Alexander Croft via his daughter Landry. Landry looks to have a good life but her father is awful to her and Landry works to protect her disabled little sister. Landry doesn't realize that there are more than one Mannford as they keep her in the dark. Landry's father has a made a plan for Ty Constantine to start taking over some of the business along with setting his daughter Landry up to marry him. This was a great Duet. I highly recommend Ms. Webster's writing.
They’re terrible, crazy, possessive, jealous & there’s 3- 3 triplets. Sully, Scout, & Sparrow we’re assigned to get into Landry’s life & her dad’s business for their uncle- each a different job but all posing as the same person. They jumped at it, but they weren’t expecting to fall for her. She was just suppose to be a job. But when the guys find out about the dark secrets she’s hiding, & the real nightmare she has to live with, there’s nothing they won’t do to protect her. And all Landry wants to do is protect her little sister. This duet was so good, especially part 2. The ending & when all the secrets are revealed it’s crazy. Scout was my favorite! I loved his psycho and sense of humor! But all 3 were absolutely fantastic, they all embraced Della & learned ASL for her. It was great. And I loved Heathen! That cat was & Scout was great!
Deception - The Deception Duet #1 & #2 K Webster ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Intensely dark and filled with nail biting tension, this duet had me on the edge of my page. The terrible trio find themselves ready to take on a new roles in the organisation, under the watchful eye of their uncle. Scout, Sully and Sparrow, though poles apart in personality, each has a uniqueness that brings the trio together. They’re completely enamoured by Landry finding a spark of something special. Her life is beyond awful, but her strength carries her through. I loved this duet, beautifully crafted by K Webster. Fast paced, captivating content and plenty of heat, the story delivers a great read, sprinkled with moments of humour in spite of the darker side to the plot.
Satisfying and intense reading I would definitely recommend.
This duet was dark & spicy. You meet triplets Sparrow, Sully, and Scout in the author's trilogy about Winston Constantine. The triplets and Constantine are basically sworn enemies (read that trilogy to understand WHY!!!) but the triplets are now working for Bryant Morelli and they have a new job. SHE is to be the reason the Croft empire comes down if Morelli has his way. Only one problem - she's feisty and has her own agenda. Book 1 is all about the chase. Book 2 is all about the fallout when she is caught. These books were not as long as I thought they'd be, and I basically binge-read 75% of the two of them in less than a day. This family series is addicting. And this duet was HOTTTTTTTT!
I have read one other book about the Constantine vs Morelli world by another author? I'm a bit lost. I need to see if I can find the beginning for this world so that I have the back story on all the characters. I love to have the big picture to understand the why behind the behavior. It helps me to become invested in the characters. I must say that I did not like these boys...at first. At all. I loved Landry and Della though. The boys were so interesting to get to know. In my head I couldn't figure out how it would all work. I became glued to the story. Amazingly, I did start liking these guys. The author pulled this together brilliantly. I definitely want more. Especially when it comes to Ty's story as well as seeing Della grow up and get her romance!
Triple Threat I didn’t know how I was going too feel about the Triplets but omg I can’t get enough of them. They are insane, and get what they want and their sites are on Landry. Once I started reading I was completely hooked and the ending holy shit, I need the next book ASAP.
Death Wish This duet is unputdownable. I absolutely love the Triplets and Landry together. Together they are absolutely smoking hot. Definitely will melt your kindle. What Landry has been through and still goes through, no one should ever have to experience that. Sparrow, Scout and Sully will do anything, and I mean anything too protect Landry & Della. When secrets are finally exposed, it will have your jaw dropped. Another amazing duet that everyone must read. Wish I could give more than five stars.
I adored the Cinderella series by K. Webster. In fact, I am willing to call it my favourite series from the author. It was not perfect, yet it was the kind of addictive that ensured I was hooked on every page. Due to this, I was eager to see what happened in the Deception duet.
Triple Threat and Death Wish were both addictive reads that kept me turning the pages, eager to see how everything came together. While I did not enjoy it as much as I enjoyed the Cinderella series, it was a story I could not put down. It also had me hooked on characters I did not expect to enjoy, which is a huge achievement. If you enjoyed the Cinderella series, this is certainly worth a read.
Definitely enjoyed this duet this was my first time reading this author & I was not disappointed. The Mannford Triplets are tasked to get information for their “Uncle” & the plan is to deceive Landry. The way they went about doing that had me alittle confused in the beginning. Gosh I did feel awful for Landry & what she went through especially with her father. I’m so happy that this was a duet & I got to read the second right away because the cliffhanger in Triple Threat I definitely couldn’t have waited! I was so happy how Landry grew into herself personally & how it always kept me on my toes. I think Scout definitely has my heart, but Sparrow is a close second. Overall the trio was amazing & I definitely recommend.
