I am shocked that two stories of the White Lady Ghost of Berry Pomeroy Castle have been included in this anthology - and - that 'White Lady Lost' comes first. That one just reveals from the beginning what had happened. It totally spoils this novel but this novella is how the story should've been told.
Nevertheless I loved the leads and am reviewing it as if I had no clue about the story. It's tragic but at least the manner of death suggested here is better than the one in the other story.
