Jessica Gadziala is a USA Today bestselling author who lives in rural New Jersey with her parrots, dogs, and an ever-growing collection of houseplants. A lifelong dreamer, she’s been writing stories since childhood and published her first book in 2015. When not at her desk, she’s usually feeding backyard birds, rewatching crime dramas, period pieces, and 90s supernatural TV shows, or adding to her towering stacks of unread books.
This is the 5th book in the series, this time around we have Bael’s and Charlotte's story
By the end of this book, we will see how the underworld—was about to be turned on its axis…. Which meant that everything Bael’s knew about reality, about life, about the afterlife, and his position in it, was wrong…. Well At least by his understanding
She, The Professor - Charlotte had been only fifteen when she started college…… the woman pretty much knew all that you need to know about the “old gods” and their myths
In Charlotte’s eyes there was no better place than the library late at night when the world outside is dark and the warm glow of the lights are on…….. and by you reading that, You must know that Charlotte had trouble interacting with other people. She lived a somewhat sheltered life.
No one would typically call Bael a go-getter. At least not on earth. Back in Hell, in his homeland, in the place he thrived, yes, he was a hard worker. He was the type to go above and beyond when it came to his ditties……
His job was to find a professor and pick her brain about the fact that, somehow, in a twist of fate that the whole group was Confused and still couldn’t quite wrap their head around, the fact that “old gods” were waking up and coming back….. either way Bael still had to try to do his job …….
Did I mention the fact that? Bael pretty much dislikes all the humans out of the group
So, it didn’t surprise him that he was faced with shocked gazes when he jumped on the assignment that Ace, the lead demon in their particular group, had thrown at him.
I just feel a bit shortchanged on Bael’s and Charlotte's story…. I felt like JG could have given us bit more as far as the couple goes
I don’t know if you noticed that I had a hesitated about starting this particular book due to the fact that I did not see an upcoming release for any new books in this particular series, But Curiosity won out
Even with a few quirks that I dislike in this particular book. I can’t lie. And save that. I can’t wait until JG Writes the next Installment in this series. I personally, can’t decide on which one I’d rather read More. Daemon or Lucifer’s book 1st ……….. But then, of course, anything that JG would write in this series, I probably just inhale it.
If you like paranormal/fantasy romances, you have to read this series. This is the 5th book in the series and with every book it goes better and more fascinating than the one before.
This is Charlotte's and Bael's story. Yes, Bael who hates all humans and wants to go "home" as soon as possible because he's kind of allergic to humans 😂
He's the most grumbly, grumpy loner in the whole group of demons and apparently the perfect candidate to speak with an expert in the mythology, Charlotte Astor.
Remember the line about allergies, yeah... apparently Charlotte is an exception because Beal has no trouble interacting with her 😉 To be more precise, he's having serious problems being separated from her 😂
I love this book and the demonic, fascinating and captivating love story 😈🥰
Well Damn!! I wasn't expecting THAT but woooow this book was good
as a Dark Paranoraml Romance, this was one of the best and it came as a surprise because the series started out as OK and unimpressive But it picked up in books 3 and 4 and then came this masterpiece
it is clear that there is a background understanding of the Greek mythology here by the way the events were connected to the gods and their personality and I can only predict that this series could get even better
the trope here is not Grumpy-sunshine. Bael is definelty a Grumpy one word demon, but Charlotte is not the sunshine heroine. and although she is portrayed here as the NOT-LIKE-OTHER-GIRLS (a trope hated by readers), but I feel it was essential to the story for two reasons 1- Charlie had to be this intellectual becuase she was needed to be a bookworm in the fight against the gods 2- we were given "the other girsl" in the previous books so it is OK to have one "not-like other girls" in one of the books
but what I fell hard for was the deep thoughts, meaningful quotes, and life lessons in this book They are so many so I am going to publish my highlights from the ebook and hope you like them as much as I did
This series is an absolute must for PNR lovers. It's also great for those looking to read pnr but not wanting anything to crazy. Plus... it is spicy in all the best ways and I'm not talking those TikTok pg Y/A recommendations. I'm talking nasty, don't read in public kind of dirty goodness.
Bael our sulking grumpy hates all humans Demon finally falls for a lowly human and least expectantly a history nerd librarian. Oh, how the tables turn huh. I loved Bael. He at the beginning appears to be polite and curious but obviously that is a front to get information. I loved getting in his head and hearing his actual thoughts whilst he played the curious professor who wants to set up a cool app to help the youngsters learn. It was hilarious watching him to hold his grumpy self in but when he let loose letting all those nasty fantasies seep out into reality. GOOD LORD. I was not ready for that library scene. I had to go back and read it twice. For educational purposes of course. Man, he is nasty in all the good ways. Plus, I'm a sucker for a hero who only really likes his woman.
Charlotte, our sweet librarian whose head is forever in the past. Fun fact, I love history, so it was so cool to read about a heroine who loves that equally. Her love for all things the past literally made her into the woman she is, and that woman is the non-socialising, happy on very little sleep and coffee drunk forever with her face stuffed in piles of books kind of woman. I love her. Very little fazed her and even when it seemed like the craziest thing and her books and myths literally came to life, she reacted with more restraint than most. She really was a pleasure to read. Sweet, relatable, strong in her own way and helpful, even in the face of danger.
These two are so freaking hot. I love the natural connection that blossomed into something special. They had crazy chemistry that burned through the pages and honestly, they bounced off one another so organically everything about them just felt right. Even when truths are exposed there was no rushing into something, I really loved that about Charlotte. She wasn't being pushed into something forever and Bael gave her the space to make the choice on her own. I live for that kind of love right there.
I love this series. I love that the world is evolving in a way that's unpredictable and exciting. I LOVE all the characters, but I am so excited to see what comes from the latest faces to arrive at the demon's mansion. It is safe to say things are about to get wild and poor Jessy is about to be bombarded with millions of messages for one character in particular, he does have that devilish appeal I must say. Exciting times are coming, and I'm so invested in where she takes this with the gods. I feel like there is endless possibilities.
This was so damn good I may have to do another re-read just to soak it all back in again. Now the painful wait until the next!!.
I think I’ve figured it out - this has the vibe of a series that wasn’t planned to be a series it just turned into one. Like 5 books in and it feels like there’s the beginning of a plan for the future, finally. But I’ve always found things to enjoy about JG’s writing even when the overarching story meanders like this one does., so I would read more if they came out but this is more for fans of JG and mild PnR.
The Professor is the fifth book in the Seven Sins MC paranormal romance series. This is Bael’s book.
Bael is the demon who dislikes the humans the most. All humans that is except for the beautiful professor he’s been tasked with questioning about her knowledge of Greek Mythology.
I liked both Bael and Charlotte; and although their romance was a little quick, it was still sweet and heartwarming. It was also great to get little hints about the future books of some of the other characters that are in this series.
This book read really fast and ended way earlier than I wanted it to. There were a number of details that were omitted and/or left out that would have allowed us to spend more time with the characters and get to know them better. Charlotte’s dad is mentioned several times throughout the story, and actually comes home at the end. Yet we don’t get to see their reunion. I would have loved to witness her dad meeting Bael and seeing their interactions first hand. As with all of Jessica’s books, I wish they were longer because I love the characters and want more of their stories. 4.0-4.25 Stars
I enjoy this series, it’s hot and funny and inventive. As usual with Jessica Gadziala, the world-building and side characters are almost as much fun as our hero and heroine.
This book sets up the arc for chaos in the human world, as old gods awaken. It is a more thoughtful book than others in the series, perhaps because Charlotte is an academic and prone to such musings. I found the conversations about Greek mythology intriguing and interesting, adding another layer to a story which is pure entertainment.
Add in an unexpected visitor, a worried warlock and a missing brother, and you’ve got a modest-sized book packed with romance, monsters and happy-ever-afters. A perfect Halloween read, but without pumpkin anything.
Charlotte lives a life with her books and library. I understand Charlotte's life. I really love Bael. I understand his reasons for hating humans. Putting these two together is awesome. I really enjoyed their interactions and how the two things I understand came together. The twist at the end is interesting and I hope future books get more into the Gods coming back and their destruction or not.

I don’t have enough words to explain how much I love this series. Especially with the surprising turn of events. Great story line! I can’t wait for the next installments.
I really enjoyed this. Totally loved the story - which has given us so much more to look forward to in coming books. Bael was wonderfully grumpy and Charlotte just great.
I love where Jessica is taking us with this world!!! I already loved Beal, but Charlotte was such a fun character! I love mythology and it was cool to have a FMC that shared that love!
4.5⭐️ By far my favorite in the series. Bael ugggh the man you are 😫
This one was just so interesting to me because they talked a lot about Greek mythology and its history. Not to mention Beal was just dirty and rough but so soft and sweet 😭 I also really liked charlotte’s character.
I was getting into a mini burnout with this series but this book wipe that all away. Got a bit sad when I finished it so that’s how you know I really liked a book 😄 Even more excited for the next one now
Charlotte and Bael are a steamy insta-lust, demon meets Professor continuation of Jessica Gadziala's Seven Sins MC Series, and I am here for it!!
Charlotte is your fairly typical distracted, sunk in her own world Professor trying to teach her students to enjoy mythology at the College level and find a new way to do that that doesn't include all the old, problematic versions taught for years.
Bael is a demon that unlike his brother, and most of the others in the house, hates most humans. He can't stand their tendency to make the same ignorant mistakes over and over again, and he can't understand why they have such an easy tendency to die at the drop of a hat. This leaves me wondering why Ace sent Bael out to find and secure someone with the knowledge they needed about the Gods in the first place? For all that he gets so upset when the demons claim someone, I wonder if he knows it NEEDS to happen?
When Bael finds Charlotte he's attracted immediately, you can feel it in the way the book changes, but he's trying to get information out of her about the Gods. What would they do next, how would they get the humans attention? And suddenly weird things start happening to Charlotte - books falling on her head, the feeling of being watched (even when it is not Bael.) Other things too, but you have to read the book, otherwise you'll miss one of the HOTTEST scenes JG's written this year (I mean scratches on the bookshelf? Come on!🔥)
I will say I was expecting more of a fight scene when the Devil recounts his story, it almost made him seem... lazy that he left the way he did, and I'm hoping Ms. Gadziala has a plan for him to either battle it out with Dear Old Dad, or a Fight To The End with Hades, but that's just my opinion.
The epilogue was one of the sweetest we've had in a long time, and I was so excited at the very end it was just absolutely adorable. Four out of Five Stars for The Professor, I can't WAIT to see what's happening next with The Seven Sins MC!!
Holy smokes, what did I just read? The spice level in this book is high and perfect. Just absolutely perfect. Bael is the hottest demon so far. He’s just the absolute best example of a grumpy, people hating, alpha-hole that becomes a mess and mush for his woman. I loved the inclusion and importance of learning all about the myths and stories of the old gods, specifically the Greek pantheon. You can tell the author, like always, did a lot of research and work to write this story appropriately. Charlie is a great and different heroine. She’s beautiful inside and out, while being amazingly smart and driven. I loved her and how she didn’t let anyone push her around. This series and the twists just keep getting better and better.
But that is not a bad thing! Charlotte thinks she is educating Bael for a computer app he is designing but it is only a ruse by him. Then one night Charlotte is attacked late at night and Bael saves her. And when they touch….
I love this series! A love story, yes, but also fraught with demons, witches, wild wolf shifters and love with lots and lots of sex. And we can’t forget they are in a Motorcycle Club.
First thoughts 1. It was a bit short for when things got interesting (most was the get to know each other) 2. little to nothing about her role in the story) 3. Got me interested in the Greek myth 4. Took the story into a new dimension, almost a beginning of a new series ( draw back, disengaged of the previous heros/ books)
This series is fantastic. Just love everything about them. This book though, has got to be my favourite. I do hope there could be a book about L in the future. ⭐️🔥😈👹

Oh this is so fun. Demons having an existential crisis because the “old gods” are waking up. The MMC has been stuck on earth for a little while and he's super grumpy about it,
“I fucking hated feeling useless. It was probably why I was so miserable on Earth. I had no mission, no job, no reason to get up every day—aside from the fact that I had no choice, of course.”
I love that he goes from being always clear exactly what his purpose is as a demon in hell to wandering around the human plane not knowing what to do with himself. It's so quintessentially human. What am I going to do with my existence?
There's also something satisfying about these very powerful males having to deal with the hand they have been dealt. First because they got stuck on the human plane, and second, when they Claim a female (also not their choice). I couldn't help but compare it to all the times women get pregnant and the men just walk away (like, “not my body, not my problem”). And here these super masculine demons are Claiming women and having no say in the matter of whether the women love them back or not.
My other favorite quote is about the ability of religions to coexist,
“And just when it seemed like society was finally starting to accept that there were other religions and they could coexist pretty harmoniously so long as people weren’t forcibly trying to convert others, they were going to get the old gods thrown into the mix.”
I couldn't help but notice that this book was published before Israel (fueled by U.S. bombs) bombed the hell out of Gaza and is continuing to do so with the seeming intention of wiping out every single person. There are so many reverberations between this “fantasy” world and real life that it is a little disorienting.
