After the murder of Teller City’s two law enforcers, Rick Walker jumps at the opportunity to be the town’s next sheriff.
Shortly after assuming the sheriff role for Teller City, a wave of crimes plague the troubled town. A notorious outlaw by the name of Leopold Lodges has been released from Colorado’s penitentiary for good behavior. But he is far from reformed. Leopold is striking back in order to get his revenge on the law for locking him up.
One peaceful night, Leopold and his gang ride through the town to look for trouble before kidnapping Jenny Bridle from her bed. Upon learning about the kidnapping, Sheriff Rick heads after the criminals to rescue the innocent woman while proving to the doubtful locals that he is the sheriff that Teller City deserved.
However, not everything is as easy as it seems. Leopold is ready to cross many lines. He is prepared to do anything in his power for vengeance. And Sheriff Rick has to take on the gang alone.
Each novel in the Western Frontier Justice War series is a standalone story that can be read out of order.
This is a terrible novel. The language choice, the inconsistant story line....my lord, get an editor, friends to critique. I finally had to stop when the conclusion was 10% away from the end. Terrible.
I sincerely enjoyed following the good guys in their ongoing trip for peace and justice!
All of Mr. Storm's books are five stars worthy, and the outstanding series of a Sheriff seeking justice for the death and insurrection by an apparent mad man and his goons is five stars, and more! I assure your undivided attention never wanes from beginning to end! The outstanding storylines grabs you attention immediately and the excitement never wanes, and the ongoing determination of the Sheriff, and his associates, only adds to any reader's expectations! Too, all the characters, good and bad, were perfectly selected roles! Very entertaining series of unending western gun fighting throughout the entire series of unending pursuit of the bad guys! Certainly recommend this compassionately motivated series of an unending pursuit of the bad guys, who pose one threat or another throughout the entire story! Even you non-western enthusiasts will enjoy this compassionately descriptive series of one exciting episode after the other!!!😅
This is an excellent story! Sheriff Rick is an experienced lawman. He has taken the last couple years off and is the new sheriff of Teller City. Leopold Lodges is an experienced outlaw. He and his gang are totally without morals. He has spent the last 5 years in prison. He has a hatred for lawmen an is now out to prove he is smarter than all of them. First order of business is to massacre a band of natives. Three escaped, but Leopold lets them. Then them ride in to Teller city to get drunk and rob. They kidnap Jenny from her bed and head back toward their hideout, collecting dead bodies along the way. Sheriff Rick has little choice but to leave the town in the hands of his inexperienced deputy. He is able to join forces with a few others that are after Lodges and his gang. There is a lot of very intense action in this one.
Story line was not terrible. So many words misused rather than misspelled. As in past for passed, rounder for rounded, torse for torso. It was as if the story was voiced in and not proofed for autocorrect. Another author who has so many characters SMIRK. Might be just me, but there should be many other facial expressions that would suffice.
In 1886, these native Americans have a better grasp on the English language than do the lawmen. And in frigid winter in Colorado, we have residents throwing vegetables to show displeasure with lawmen. I doubt that would be the case.
Kidnapping and a mass slaughter leads the new sheriff on the trail of an insane outlaw leader and his gang to the end. New friends emerge to bring an end to the action.
