Starting on September 11th, 2012, al-Qa'ida carried out a series of terrorist attacks on the U.S. Consulate and CIA Annex in Benghazi, Libya, killing four Americans, including U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens. With over 150 attackers at the Consulate alone, the attack was the largest terrorist attack on a U.S. diplomatic mission in history. And yet, the case remained unsolved. The terrorists were never brought to justice because they had not been identified until now.
Two former Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) Officers involved in the Libyan crisis before, during, and after the attacks decided they would not allow an al-Qa'ida terrorist attack to become a cold case. Inside these pages, you will find a first-hand account of the attacks showcasing the terrorists involved. For the first time, they open their files into a self-funded, open-source investigation into the perpetrators. Drawing on their extensive experience and knowledge of the region, to offer a unique and valuable perspective on the events.
This important and timely book provides crucial insights into a tragedy as the CIA Officers share their findings with the reader. The hope is to honor the memory of those killed by exposing and bringing justice to the real enemies of the United States.
If you truly want the truth about Benghazi and how pathetic our federal government has been in seeking justice for the attacks on 9/11/12 and 9/12/12, then take the time to read this book. It will leave you shaking your head.
Everyone should take the time to read this book and truly understand what we are up against. The war on terrorism has never ended and it's coming to our shores.
Reading this deeper dive into the Benghazi attacks in 2012 filled in a lot of blanks for me. I’d recommend it to anyone still not satisfied with the official narratives.
This year I have learned quite a bit about the current Al-Qaeda threats to the homeland from Sarah Adams and her veteran peers via the Shawn Ryan Podcast.
I felt that the month of September was the perfect time to read about what really happened during the September 11, 2012 Benghazi attack; which is America's lesser known about "9/11" that took place in Libya against our embassy and CIA consulate.
What ultimately led to the tragedy? Bad US policy(!) and a betrayal by the administration to the people serving our nation in such a dangerous environment.
This book is very good and was a new genre/style for me, as I haven't read anything in this type of category before. Some parts were slightly repetitive and got confusing because the time line jumped back and forth somewhat. It's also quite technical and may not appeal to the average reader. The authors did their own investigation to trace and compile a list of names of everyone in the terror network that played a role in the terror attack on 9/11/2012 in Benghazi. Our government failed to hold accountability so the veterans were left to lead the way and do their own due diligence and share the story. Admittedly, many of the names were hard to keep straight in my head, but it didn't take away from the fascination of the work that was put into such an endeavor.
I will use this review to also share we are unfortunately in uncharted waters again, according to the people that know this domain very well, and are trying to sound the alarm. I recommend looking at National Counter Terrorism Center Director Joe Kent's recent counterterrorism/threat warning to the nation. He is one of the first people in our current administration to heed the warnings that have come from Sarah and other OSINT experts who are in the network working for good cause to help defend the homeland from attacks. We are currently using American taxpayer dollars to fund the Taliban $40 million per week! This is astounding to me. A bill recently passed the house called "No Tax Dollars For Terrorist Act: HR 260" and is sitting in the Senate now, hopefully it will be passed. Call your representatives to vocalize your support! I did.
Don't live in fear, but be prepared. Situational awareness in your surroundings is key, as it always has been. And just like the old TSA mantra and one from the operating room (my former field)--if you see something, SAY SOMETHING!
Difficult to read, primarily because of the huge exposure the author provides to the twisted political narrative that has been told about Benghazi. What was reported about Benghazi is not true. What the author provides in the book is accurate and documented. The intelligence community and the US government covered up what really happened and why. This book is an analyst's view of the facts gathered from credible sources using the author's own work skills and research.
Sarah Adams was a CIA analyst and targeter, and she was deployed to Libya and worked in Benghazi. before and after the attacks in 2012. She writes this book by way of showing the real intelligence that provides a much different understanding of what happened in Benghazi that resulted in the deaths of the authors friends and co-workers. The US government and intelligence community abandoned the truth about what happened. Sarah Adams is not letting the memory of her friends and co-workers disappear without presenting the truth about it.
If you think you know what happened in Benghazi and who was involved, you are probably wrong. This book breaks down those involved and identifies many gaps in the response to the incident, as well as the events leading up to it.
An important read for any American who wants the facts without the fluffed up reasonings previously provided to the public.
Great book about the truth in Benghazi. It was a little hard to read because there are so many names and so many organizations but it shows how much we don’t know.
SOOOOO good and interesting. The fact that multiple people including Hilary Clinton aren't imprisoned for this is a serious miscarriage of justice. Worth the read if you want to know what happened and also how it still affects US relations today.
