Blade and Bone #2

City of Fog and Ruin

Rate this book
The Prophet seeks a new weapon to rule in Sanaron; few have the power to stop him.

Back in Sanaron, Kanar struggles with the consequences of his last job. In the wrong hands, the Alainsith blood is a weapon. With Kanar’s team, it might offer protection, especially as the Prophet remains active in Sanaron and now dabbles in dangerous witchcraft.

When Kanar learns what the Prophet seeks, he must find it before the Prophet, or he’ll use the dangerous power to destroy the city itself.

His team succeeded once before, but that was when focused on the same goal.

When each has their own agenda, can they become a team in time to find the artifact, stop the Prophet, and save Sanaron?

This series isn’t bad by any means but the author repeats and repeats the same information every few pages. It gets tiring .
Like a lot of other writers he writes stuff that the reader has no interest in. If I didn’t know better I would think he was being paid buy the number of words he wrote.
The story needs an amazing amount of editing.

The plot is good , a solid gathering of good guys and a villain they are trying to destroy. Some romance , some fighting and the story really tells its self.
For me , the magic is too complicated, to many forms of it and to many labels used to describe them.
This series is good but with moderate work and a better editor
to keep the author in check , this could actually be an outstanding series.
At least in my opinion.
I would recommend this to any reader who enjoys the fantasy genre .
It also is an adult read. The language used in this series could be offensive to some people.

It gets better and better.

I'm starting to see new abilities and get a general feel of the overall plot.

Things are starting to get interesting, we're seeing new characters introduced, and everything is growing. I've never read this author before, and I'm impressed by the writing style.

Fingers crossed it keeps on like this.

I did not have the chance to write a review for book 1 of this series but book 2 is so dang awesome and neither will disappoint. Filled with laughter, swords play, secrets, adoration and more secrets and all will keep you attentive. Wonderful characters and before you know it, you’ve completed the book.

Great fantasy read

I enjoy these books a lot, it is like a D and D adventure in book form. This one did a great job building on the mysteries of the first one Noth when it came to characters and the worldbuilding. I am looking forward to book 3!

A good second book

Picking up right after the second book, the characters are dealing with the effects of events in the first book. The plot was fast paced and well devised.
