Ghost Tour: A Spooky Sapphic Story: Lesbian Ghost Story (Paranormal Romance)

Rate this book
Halloween. A Haunted House. One Ghost Tour.

'We both have our reasons for visiting the manor tonight, and they are not to do with the spooky event, but with the dead. In my case, maybe a particular ghost, if I am extremely lucky.'

It's Halloween in one of Britain's most haunted houses.

A group of women have signed up for a 'Spooktacular' event to spend the night in a spooky old mansion hunting for ghosts.

The all-women party embark on a tour of the ancient English house with a gorgeous female guide. During their paranormal searching, they will uncover hidden secrets that will change at least two of the six women's lives forever.

Quirky characters, comical moments, hidden agendas, and perhaps a ghost or two...
Past and present collide in this spooky sapphic story about ghosts, eternal love, a hidden room, a mystery, and an ancient murder.

"It's difficult not to think of Netflix's supernatural hit 'The Haunting of Bly Manor' when reading this excellent lesbian ghost story." - Laura M (GCLS Writing Academy).

Ghost Tour” by Sue Still is a brilliantly written lesbian ghost story. I’ve loved reading ghost stories since I was a child and used to hunt down such tales that were set in areas where I lived. This one fits right in with all the best ghost stories I ever read.

This short story has everything you would look for in a spooky tale. There is an eerie and ancient setting, as well as beautiful and ghostly characters. It also contains a very satisfying and unsuspected twist at the end of the story.

I loved this tale. It stayed in my thoughts long after I finished reading. I even dreamed about the story.

“Ghost Tour” is the perfect story to sit and read at this time of year. It has my highest recommendation.

This will be a very short review since the story itself is short as well and it would be very easy to say too much and ruin the fun. All I’ll say is this was my first story by Sue Still and I enjoyed it a lot. It’s not perfect but it works really well, I like the writing style and how it carried me away until the end, when I finally understood what was going on. The atmosphere is spooky as promised yet there’s also a lot of tenderness and warmth that I didn’t expect in a ghost story. 4.5⭐️

A good spooky short story, perfect for Halloween, or anytime!

I'm fairy certain I had read this before because it was so familiar to me. Clicking on the authors name brings up Spooky Sapphics so I can only assume I had read it there.

Highly recommend the read!

4 stars. A very fun and unique read. I thoroughly enjoyed it and I can admit that I did not see that ending coming. So good. It’s super short but it was well worth the read. It’s well written and entertaining.

A sweet and sour short story. I enjoyed the plot twist in it.

As usual, with short stories, I imagine what a full-length novel could have been, and I think this would have been awesome, a mix between a historical and a contemporary novel. I wanted more.

Loved this story!

I read Ghost Tour last year in an anthology, and I’m thrilled to have it as a single now.
I love how the author hints at what might be without giving away the secrets to be revealed. The author describes scenes in a way that allows the readers to picture them without giving too much detail which could weigh down a short story. Kudos to Sue Still for this original, lovely, and scary story. Highly recommended!

Wow!

A short but great story. Two women arrive at a mansion, one of two women is a relative of one the inhabitants that lived there a long time ago and has a locket of a lost relative who had died there. What follows is a mystery upon itself as their guide leads them through the house. Enjoy!

In the vein of traditional ghost stories, I could see this being read aloud around a campfire at midnight in the middle of the woods.
With its first person present tense we get the story within the story and a bitter sort of sweetness.
An ending that is a beginning.
A nice short read with side characters that help us understand what is happening.

Left me wanting more

Short stories get a lot of negative reviews due to only getting a little nibble of what could/would/should be a fantastic full-length novel. This would be a very intriguing novel.

Super short story. Wonderfully drawn characters and nice atmosphere surrounding them. Would enjoy more of these stories from her pen.

2.5 - It was a really sweet story, and for a quick lunch break read, I would still recommend it (even though I haven't rated it very highly).

The concept was good, but the execution just wasn't quite there for me. In less than 30 pages, the super vague "something I must do" reference was said enough times to get annoying - if you're not going to tease new information, don't keep repeating it; in a super short read like this, repetitions like that are just that - repetitious - and completely unnecessary. There were a few other minor grievances that added up for me over such a short page count, but the aforementioned was the one that really brought it down for me.
