It is months later and Vanessa is hoping for nothing more than a relaxing and calm summer. When she learns her boyfriend Evan is leaving for a month long cruise, Vanessa is left feeling down in the dumps. To keep herself busy she starts working at the beach snack bar with Amy who is both unstable and unreliable.
Just when everything begins to feel normal again, Vanessa starts feeling anxious that something isn’t right. She has continuous dreams about her parents that leave her feeling uneasy. Vanessa unfortunately knows the one way to find out more about her parents is to contact her aunt. The same aunt whom she strongly dislikes and resents every day for not helping her when she was a young girl.
Vanessa begins to uncover some more things about her parents and the day of the accident. A special someone she didn’t know existed will surface. Vanessa also feels something on the night of the flood…..is someone close trying to tell her something?
With still so many unanswered questions about her past, Vanessa had thought everything was behind her but she soon realizes it’s not going to be that easy.

I read this book a few months back and think about it often. It's the sequel to Beneath the Summer Moon, and the character growth is incredible throughout this story. It really pulls the pieces together from the last book and ends the series out in an amazing way. If you read the first book, I would highly recommend reading Restless Tides! Can't wait to read more from this author.
