Young and cocky, Roger was an Alpha werewolf on the fast track for leadership in the highly esteemed Böxenwolf Brigade until a parking lot quickie with an innocent changed his life for good.
Raised in a vicious cult, abused in the name of religion, and trained to kill innocent shifters who’d never wronged him, Ari was hopelessly trapped. When a single night of defiance left him marked for horrific abuse in the name of salvation, he was left with no choice but to seek refuge from the enemy, which ended up including the man who’d taken his virginity in the front seat of a battered old truck.
If that wasn’t enough to battle, they’re left with one plot twist they never, ever could have seen coming.
I absolutely love this series and world! This story is filled with love, bravery, miscommunication, reconnection, more misunderstandings, and absolutely more love. Can’t wait for the next one!
I absolutely loved this addition to the series! It was heartbreaking, heartwarming, and hot - just put in absolutely everything and you have it! I think this might be the favourite book I have in this series. It catered to all my Omegaverse needs haha. There's the half-shift werewolf form hotness. ;) There's the must-have knotting. ;)
I absolutely loved it, and I wish there was more from Ari and Roger! I want more! Haha. Roger was such a kind and caring Alpha, and Ari had a lot of trauma he had to work through, but he's super strong and loving, he broke my heart so many times and I just wanted to scoop him up and love him! But he managed to learn to stand on his own - and it was amazing to see his development. :D
The main conflict of the book was an inability to communicate which I HATE. All of Ari's behaviour is completely expected and understandable. Roger is super dumb and annoying for treating Ari like any other omega, when he saw how he was punished for having premarital sex and knowing the cult he grew up with.

Love this book series so much can’t wait for the next book Kian Rhodes is a great story teller and I get so happy every time she writes a new story the o Lu thing I wish is that the books where a little longer
I hope there will be more to this series! I guess I had preordered this and then forgot it was coming so it was a wonderful surprise to find it in my unread. 😊
Actually closer to a 3.5 - a sweet love story full of misunderstanding and confusion created by very different backgrounds in the MCs. Straight forward plot and basic character building.
