Sawyer Jackson, the NFL’s top tight end, can block, catch, and run a perfect route—straight into a willing lady’s sheets. But when he crosses paths with Broadway hopeful—and recently single—Kennedy Quinn at a destination wedding, he finds himself intrigued by the woman whose angelic voice cast a spell on him. Why else would he leave Puerto Rico with a new best friend and not another notch on his bedpost?
Three years later, Kennedy and Sawyer are closer than ever. Sawyer’s recent trade to the New York Cougars means they’ll finally live in the same city, and Kennedy dares to imagine a life with him beyond the constraints of platonic friendship. Unfortunately, Sawyer’s new quarterback is Kennedy’s cheating ex, but she’s over that now. Plus, she just signed with one of the top talent agents in the country, bringing her closer to her Broadway dreams.
But the bright lights of the city can hide people’s true intentions, and Sawyer and Kennedy will each need to learn that just because someone’s on your team doesn’t mean they’re on your side. With the terms of their relationship changing and with both of their dreams on the line, will Kennedy and Sawyer’s unconditional love be enough to overcome the challenges ahead?
The story contains explicit content and profanity. Recommended for 18+.
Reina Bell writes romance novels that promise to inspire all the feels. As a reader, she alternates between thrill-seeking romantic suspense, deeply emotional love stories, and palate-cleansing, sassy rom-coms. Her goal as an author is to offer the best of those worlds to readers—keeping it captivating, sexy, and with a soul-satisfying happily-ever-after each and every time.
When she’s not writing or living in her head curating her next novel, you can find her helping animals (that’s her other life), cooking like it’s a paid gig (maybe in her next life), and obsessively making lists. She resides on the East Coast with her husband, son, and some furry pets in a home where football Sunday is a holy day.
i think i just inadvertently flew into my sports romance era and i am not upset about it. this arc was not only sweet and sexy, but it was laugh out loud funny and had me smiling through most of it 🙈
sawyer jackson is the charming and charismatic playboy nfl star that usually thinks with his… second head 👀 meanwhile kennedy quinn is a witty, gifted vocalist and outgoing broadway hopeful that has just had her heartbroken when they decide to be best friends. the road to their relationship is rocky, but i don’t think i’ve read a book this genuinely hilarious in a long, long time. with plenty of millennial pop culture reference, vulgar one liners and enough dirty talk to make me blush… the banter in this was top tier.
this was my first sports romance, and it won’t be my last. watching sawyer go through the pressure of football season along side kennedy trying to break into broadway, it was so easy to feel for them. although their careers weren’t relatable, their friendship and individual personalities felt so real. the best friends to lovers was done perfectly, their friendship being the focus was heartwarming through it all!
the side characters (andrew, brooke, declan, hunter and trek) were so perfectly crafted, i want stories for all of them! this is the first in a series, so i’m hopeful for more stand-alones from everyone in this 😍
it was impossible not to root for sawyer and kennedy right off the bat. their journey was one of my favourites in a while, and i know i’m going to be thinking of them for a long time!i can’t wait to read more of reina’s books 🫶🏻🥲
This one was truly a sweet romance. It has the drama, the epic love of two people who started out as best friends and came together in a way that shows the true love everyone dreams of. The characters were perfect together, the story was written perfectly. I can’t wait to read Andrew and Madison’s story.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
THIS BOOK 🔥😍 Seriously the best combo of cuteness with spice! This is a steamy friends to lovers sport romance where the guy is OBSESSED (one of my favorite tropes)!
We follow the story of Kennedy Quinn, a talented woman who works part time as a waitress. She dreams about becoming a famous Broadway singer. As her relationship with a NFL player goes down the drain, she ends up befriending Sawyer, who supports her through her rough breakup. As time passes she becomes best friends with Sawyer, also NFL player, who gets a big contract for the Cougars team in NY. Their chemistry was undeniable and the banter so addictive! It was also so fun to read about the all emotions involved in a football championship among the players and their loved ones, which was very well described by the author.
I felt like I was going crazy alongside these two! Constantly battling their attraction for one another and afraid to ruin their friendship. ALL THE ANGST! Not only that but life keeps getting on the way, which could bring down their hopes for Broadway and NFL. Being a celebrity means all eyes are on you, can they learn how to deal with everything as a couple? You will have to read it to find out!
Thank you to the author for gifting me a copy for review.
THIS BOOK. Oh my gosh it was PRECIOUS. I’ll be honest…friends to lovers is not usually my jam because I feel like it often lacks tension. That was NOT this case with this book! It was friends to lovers executed sooo well. I was 100% invested. Also I listened to the audiobook and it had two narrators, which just makes things 10x better in my opinion.
Highly recommend if you’re looking for a cute romance! It’s part of a series of stand-alones, so the next couple is teased in the epilogue and oh my gosh I can’t wait for it 😍
“I've told you before. We’re kismet. Written in the stars, whatever you want to call it. It's you and me. Your mine. I'm yours.”
This follows Kennedy and Sawyer who are best friends after a night when Kennedy 21 walked in on her ex-boyfriend with another woman. Sawyer 25 is a professional NFL player who has a reputation for being a playboy in the press. They flirt, love each other's company and avoid the fact they have feelings for each other. Can Sawyer convince he has changed and is a reformed playboy?
This was a good read. I love their relationship and the flirty banter. I will say personally I found them avoiding feelings / talking about it due to what I like to call a lack of communication. This is not the miscommunication trope but I feel these characters just need to talk as 50% in we were still back and forth with yes, no and maybe. I feel it’s more character-driven plot with a little bit of plot on the side. It’s a slow burn and the spice was good. This book made me laugh and feel good while reading it but I think it’s a personal preference with the lack of communication it was driving me a bit crazy. I also listened to this on audible and I liked the narration.

Kismet is a word I wasn’t familiar with, but thanks to this book it became one of my favorites, right alongside serendipity. Fate, destiny, kindred spirits—I love the concept. I believe in it, and my wish for everyone is that you find that person that is your match so completely that your life is all the better for it. This was the case with Sawyer and Kennedy.
“Sawyer.” “Quinn.”
I’ll never get over how that simple interaction was so precious. I underlined it in my ebook way too many times. Most times, there isn’t even a description of how the two are enunciating each other’s names, and yet I could hear it clearly in my mind. That’s how deep I felt the connection between Sawyer and Kennedy, two strangers who meet at a wedding and become friends. Their brand of humor is perfectly matched, and they understand each other so completely from the moment they meet. It’s impossible not to root for them. Friends to lovers is my weakness always, but there’s something about how the friendship started in such a serendipitous way, and how their relationship was always rooted in a mutual trust, yes, but also attraction neither of them acted on, that had me going feral. My only problem with this couple was the infamous twenty-nine days it took for my baby Sawyer to move out of the friendzone after he’d already been stuck there three years.
Aside from the couple, I also really enjoyed the secondary characters. My favorites were Andrew (Kennedy’s sexy Viking singer roommate), Trek (Sawyer’s agent), and Hunter (quarterback in Sawyer’s team and *drum roll* Kennedy’s ex.) Admittedly, he didn’t have as many moments to shine as the others, but he pleasantly surprised me with the growth and maturity he showed since the start of the book. I can appreciate a man who owns up to his mistakes and is happy that his ex finds the love of her life. I’m certain the next book in the series is likely going to be Andrew’s, given the ending (and I am SO EXCITED), but I wouldn’t be opposed to have one for Hunter either!
Anyways, I recommend this book to all lovers of romance. You don’t necessarily have to be a fan of sports romance to enjoy this one, since we see more the behind the scenes of being a football star rather than actual game time—but hey, hot football players. Just saying.
Thank you to the author for gifting me a copy. Opinions are my own.
KISMET is the demonstration that friends to lovers can be one of the funnest, most angst-filled tropes, especially in a contemporary romance! If you're looking for a no-brainer, fast, entertaining and deeply romantic read, look no further. This is a must-read for sports romance fans!
My love for this book sparked from the very first chapter, which shows the readers how Kennedy and Sawyer first meet and how their friendship sparks before a time jump to present times. The banter and chemistry between these two was OFF THE CHARTS. Kennedy is such a fun, spunky, relatable character, and Sawyer is made of 100% charm. It was grinning like a mad woman, and I so appreciated the pop culture references (especially to my beloved Game of Thrones). That Sawyer was falling fast and hard was obvious, but booooy does this boy fall hard for Kennedy!
My only pickle with Kennedy was that sometimes her indecision about whether or not to take the next step with Sawyer even though they were both clearly crazy for one another made me want to enter the book and shake her into reason. But once the next step is taken, I loved seeing that new side to their relationship. Friends to lovers is a trope I deeply love because of the connection is establishes between the couple, but it also leaves the room for so much vulnerability and fear. It's not easy to gamble losing a friendship, but pining for your bestie is just as brutal! The author used all of that so well in this book. And also managed to make me reconsider my stance on football as a sport, which I was not expecting!
Cannot wait for the next one! The epilogue teases the new pairing so well I'm actually on my knees!
I read this book because of one of Instagram recommendations. And I thought to myself I definitely need to read it since I love sports romance so much. And this book was sweet. It had all the feels and emotions. In fact the MMC is obsessed with the FMC from page one itself. But I appreciate how the author had developed their relationship instead of rushing it. This book falls under strangers to best friends to lovers category. It was a sweet and mature read. Hell this is probably the first sports romance I've read which had the most mature and reasonable adults. It felt basically like a combination of Wattpad and NA rom coms. Although the thing which I found to be the most lacking was conflict. There was little to none conflict depicted throughout the book and everything gets resolved very quickly so it didn't hold my attention much. At times I totally felt like skimming certain parts. I found it alright. But maybe people who like sports romance with mature characters might totally love this.
I received this from the Fallen Crest Crew Group for an Honest Review
For all those who love a true Friends-to-Lovers read this book is for YOU!
This kicks off the Sounds of the City series and features Kennedy and Sawyer.
Sawyer is the professional football player who transfers to the city where his best friend lives. Ayer was a favorite character in this book since he is solo supportive of Kennedy and her dreams. It was also so REFRESHING seeing the male character uproot his life to support the female lead and not vice versa like we often see.
Kennedy is a girl who was shunned by friends and family when her ex-boyfriend and NFL star quarter-back Hunter cheated on her at a wedding. This is what kicks off the book and sets the stage for the meet-cute between Sawyer and Kennedy.
We see Kennedy grow from her family cutting her out and then grow more when she reaches for her dream of performing on Broadway.
The friendship between them is so raw and honest that it feels almost as though we are with them in person. Kudos to the author for also creating a cast of secondary characters who uplift the book and add dimension.
My favorite character in this book was Andrew outside of the couple since he is a BLAST. I appreciated how this did not turn into a love triangle and how honest their friendship was to one another. I also liked how Sawyer and Andrew became friends and not rivals.
I would rate this as a 8/10 read. It was a quick read and I was left wanting more from the characters but I am excited to read more in the series.
I am so NOT disappointed! Kismet had me giggling and flying through the pages just to see what would happen next. Football Tight End Sawyer and Broadway hopeful Kennedy were seriously the perfect mix. They had hilarious banter, and some amazing steamy tension 🥵 Definitely don't knock it til you try it! Overall it was 4.5/5⭐️ Tropes- Friends-to-lovers Sports romance Slow Burn
This book was a cute friends to lovers novel. A pro football player and a wannabe actress finally decide to date even though they have been best friends for a while. I was a bit frustrated with a couple of character decisions toward the end but isn’t that what makes it all the better once they find happily ever after?
Oh my gosh! Where to start on this book. Romance novel.
The relationship between Sawyer and Kennedy is AMAZING. Sawyer Jackson is boyfriend goals and Kennedy Quinn is perfection in his eyes!
Three years ago Kennedy and Sawyer were paired together for a wedding after her boyfriend cheated on her. Three years of being friends and Sawyer FINALLY moves to the NY to be closer to Kennedy. A lot happens but I don't want to give anything away. I could go on an on about this.
Love the dual point of view. The intensity of love and lust between characters. Enough of a cliffhanger to want another book!!
Sexy yet sweet football player, a badass singer with attitude, and a playboy turned absolute lover boy trope. Absolutely ate up every word Reina Bell wrote and then proceeded to want to cry from how pure their story was.
When I received the ARC from Fallen Crest Crew for an honest review, I will not lie I was very hesitant to start the book. I’ve never been a fan of the friends to lovers trope, mostly cuz I usually crave the angst in enemies to lovers and such but let me just say this book thoroughly surprised me. I legit picked it up to read this morning and ended up finishing it in one day.
I’m OBSESSED with Sawyer Jackson. Sawyer was head over heels for Kennedy the moment he met her (and don’t we all love the guy falls first trope). He’s a sweet-talking playboy at the beginning of the book focused only on his career and living the typical jock life. Gag. Buttttt he redeemed himself almost instantly with his soft-heart for the lovely Kennedy Quinn.
Kennedy was an absolute dime, not afraid to stand up for herself but still being a sweetheart with a feisty attitude. Honestly I can’t decide if I want Sawyer or Kennedy more.
The book focused mostly on their budding romance and the obstacles they had to overcome to finally be at peace together after a long few years. I loved that the author brought together two very different lifestyles (an NFL player and the godblessed musical talent of an upcoming broadway performer).
Overall, loved the characters and the dynamic between the two MCs. The only reason I gave the book four instead of five stars was for the fact that the plot was not at grandly developed as it could have been given that it mostly focused on the romance aspect. But honestly if you love a good football romance and swoon-worthy characters this book is fabulous for you.
Oh and can we just recall real quick how absolute soul-melting their relationship was? Like they made me so jealous the entire way with their banter and love. Plus, given that it was DUAL POV, we got to see all the cute sappy thoughts that are so uncharacteristic in sports romance books typically.
Sawyer Jackson is a number one draft pick tight-end and Kennedy Quinn is an aspiring broadway actress and singer. They meet at a friends wedding, which so happens to be the event where Kennedy walks in on her then-boyfriend cheating on her. Sawyer agrees to be her new “best friend” and they hit it off immediately. But, with Sawyers career in the NFL and Kennedy finishing up school and moving to NYC, they only see each other on quick trips, etc. That is, until Sawyer lands a deal playing in the NFL for New York. The beginning of the book shows you those first interactions of Sawyer and Kennedy from over 3 years ago. The sparks were flying then, but what about now? After the first 3 chapters, the book flashes forward to present day when they may just get their chance at a HEA. This book was really well written, you could feel the angst, chemistry and emotion of the characters as life happened for them. I love the relationship between Sawyer and Kennedy (Quinn as he calls her) because they truly are best friends in every sense of the term. The side characters in this book were top notch: Kennedys two roommates, Brooke and Andrew, as well as Sawyers agent, Trek, and all of his fellow NFL teammates. The pop culture references were spot on and had me literally laughing out loud at some parts of the book.
Are Sawyer and Kennedy really “endgame” or “kismet”? I guess you’ll have to read the book to find out!
This book had some of my favorite elements: Sports Romance Friends to Lovers Spicy He Falls First Groveling
Thank you Reina Bell for allowing me to read an ARC copy of your book! This is my voluntary and honest review!
Kismet by Reina Bell is an exciting, sizzling, hot and wonderful tale of Sawyer Jackson, an NFL tight end at the very top of his game and the very best in the entire league playboy who is a groomsman in a friend’s wedding when he meets Kennedy Quinn, a breathtakingly beautiful bridesmaid and talented singer trying to make it on Broadway, who just caught her boyfriend, an NFL quarterback, cheating on her with another bridesmaid. Apart from Sawyer wanting to bed Kennedy the moment he sets his eyes on her, he is mesmerized by the beauty of her voice and completely captivated by her personality and her plight. He flirts with her and she responds but they each pull back, Sawyer afraid to hurt Quinn (as he likes to call her because male friends always call each other by their surnames), and Quinn because she is taking her cues from Sawyer who seems to want her as a friend. I won’t give away anymore of the wonderful plot because there are twists and turns that occur that will make your heart sing, and of course, you will need to turn the A/C on to handle the heat and sizzle from the chemistry between Quinn and Sawyer!! Their interactions are witty, moving, heartfelt and pure delight! Buy this book immediately!
Loved this feel good romance with its twists and turns and unfortunate timings and lack of communcation between the main characters! Totally had me shouting at them to bloody talk a number of times and not to jump to conclusions but heyyy totally made for a great story.
I was so happy to see the story wasnt the typical girl jumps through a million and one hoops for the guy changing and moulding herself to suit him. Love the even balance and the wicked friendship the characters had between them.
A number of times the will they wont they had me gripped.
I love how the story didnt feel rushed at all and developed the friendship over several years before getting to this point it allowed you to understand the characters more in depth and what made them tick.
Are they end game? Does the tight end get his act together? Does past actions of the man slutting variety stop things before they have eve started?
Definitley a good read and will be looking out for more by the author and the next story with none other than Sawyer F**cking Jacksons sister and the panty droppingly hot Andrew.
Received as an ARC by Fallencrestcrew- Voluntarily reviewed
After catching her boyfriend cheating at her best friend’s wedding, Kennedy was paired to stand with none other than Sawyer Jackson. Sawyer, already mesmerized by her beauty and singing from the night before, made it his mission to make her night better despite her relationship woes. One night turned into a three and half year friendship. Now, in New York to play with his new football team and the same city as Kennedy, Sawyer is determined to cross that line from best friend to best boyfriend. The only thing he needs to do is convince Kennedy that he has left his playboy ways behind him.
I can appreciate a book with good banter and witty comebacks between the main characters. I’m a junkie for that kind of dialogue that balances between sexy and sarcastic. It’s my love language and Kismet had it! I just absolutely loved Sawyer and Kennedy as friends and as a couple. Having that friendship really catapulted their relationship and I was rooting for them! This story had good pacing, playful banter, some angst, charm, a funny and cocky Tight End, and a girl that matched his energy. The author’s writing and the premise of the story carries you through the end. If you’re a fan of friends to lovers and sports romance, Kismet is for you!
You don’t know how much I love sport romances. This book was amazing! It’s so sweet!
Sawyer Jackson is a football player who is trying to succeed in the NFL, while Kennedy Quinn just got her heartbroken by her cheating ex. They meet at a wedding and they instantly have a connection. Sawyer secretly pines for her while she continues to friend zone him.
Three years later, Sawyer moves to be closer to Kennedy and confess his feelings. Sawyer is now an NFL player and Kennedy is singing in clubs, while also trying to live up to her agents harsh demands to be on Broadway. Naturally, Sawyer’s plan to confess gets delayed.
Sawyer is so funny and cute with his love for Kennedy. He falls first and I really like how he goes to big lengths to convince her, she should be with him.
He’s such a simp for her and it’s made me swoon at every turn. When he’s looking at houses, he tells his realtor he wants kids with Kennedy before they are even dating 😂.
“You and Jackson truly are kismet, aren’t you?”
I’m so excited for the next book. You find out in the epilogue who the couple is and I want their book so badly.
My goodness! This book was such an absolute treat to read! The angst of friends to lovers was so on point in this book and I COULD NOT put this book down! I completely fell in love with both the characters and their chemistry and I was right there beside them cheering for them to be together!
Sawyer had me absolutely swooning like a teenager! He was so sweet and loving and so clearly obsessed with Kennedy! It was so cute to see him just completely drop his playboy ways and want a whole future with his best friend! And it was so charming to see that everyone around him encouraged him to go down the straight and narrow with Kennedy.
The side characters were all so wonderful and I hope Reina has more books up her sleeve for each of them! The book had a little more spice than I thought it would, which made me happy! The writing in this book did not feel fast-paced and Sawyer and Kennedy's relationship felt so genuine and not rushed at all. My heart couldn't stop beating whenever they were together and I couldn't wait to see these two as a couple. I giggled so much while reading this book and immediately wanted to re-read it when it was over! I can not wait to read more of Reina's books!
*Thank you to Booksirens for sending me a copy of this book for an honest review.
I enjoyed the book. The chemistry between the main characters was amazing. Jackson and Kennedy started off as friends and eventually turned to lovers, but nobody could deny the bond they had. I liked how much the hero cared and whenever he fucked up he explained. The heroine was a total sweetheart and you can't help but fall in love with her. There were a lot of sweet moments and I loved how both of them called each other by their surnames. The hero is a playboy who changes for the love of his life. I liked a lot of things about him - how caring he is for the heroine, makes her his priority, changes plans for her, extremely protective and absolutely smitten. The heroine is fun, sassy, kind and cute. I found her to be strong willed too and loved that about her. The reason I deducted a star is because there wasn't enough grovel. The heroine is too forgiving for her own good. When heroes make mistakes they should pay for them too. Though I agree that what happened wasn't hero's fault exactly but I can't simply ignore his part in it. That being said I totally enjoyed the book and went through a Rollercoaster of emotions. Looking forward to read more from this author.
Tropes: Friends to Lovers, Sunshine FMC, Possesive Hero, Sports Romance.
P.S. I loved the GOT references ❤️
I got this book from booksirens in exchange for my review.
I loved this book. Just everything about it was loveable.
Kennedy and Sawyer's friendship from the start was everything a friendship could be, you know? Sawyer was super protective of Kennedy, to the point of getting himself in trouble with his team and the league. Kennedy is a bit on the oblivious side when it comes to Sawyer's feelings for her, which is apropos for this trope.
Understandably, Kennedy is hesitant when Sawyer goes all in and tells her his feelings. She doesn't want to lose their friendship. So, Sawyer pulls out all the stops to prove that he is "boyfriend material".
A whole slew of misunderstandings, secrets kept, one team member with nefarious intentions and OH BOY! I tell you though, Sawyer knows how to grovel without actually groveling. He is 100% in it for Kennedy and I'm here for it.
I can't wait to see if Andrew gets his story!

Friends to lovers, sports romance, he falls first - YES YES YES!
Sawyer is everything I need and want in a man. He starts off as the playboy, but soon falls absolutely head over heels for our FMC Kennedy.
Kennedy is a sweet broadway baby with the voice of an angel, who is kind & lovely and gets her heart broken early on which leads to her unexpected best friendship with our loveable MMC.
There’s a lot of things that were done perfectly and there were some things I really wanted MORE of. I felt like there were too many miscommunication tropes in this one for me to give it a 5⭐️ rating, because it irks me when people can’t communicate properly. But the MCs make it know that communication is not their forté when it comes to being a couple.
Either way, this was a loveable story about two best friends falling in love, it’s a time jump from the beginning of their friendship to current time so you don’t get the time wasting filler (that’s usually unnecessary anyway) & it’s got some super great spice scenes!
i had an amazing time reading this book. in all honesty, i initially had a hard time at the beginning because i felt as if the pace was too fast, but i persisted and i’m glad i did. i’m not super big on the insta-love trope but sawyer did it justice. sawyer truly did everything right when it came to proving that he could be a great boyfriend to kennedy. i loved his determination and unconditional love. everyone deserves someone who will love them the way sawyer loves quinn. kennedy was a strong and loyal fmc til the end. the way she supported sawyer throughout the book no matter what, even when they were separated for a bit was an amazing show of devotion and unconditional love. it really is true… kennedy and sawyer are kismet. they truly are so alike, making them the perfect match for one another. thank you so much @fallencrestcrew and @authourreinabell for allowing me to read this book early!!
Sawyer and Quinn (Kennedy) are the true definition of friends to lovers; with undeniable chemistry. These two flirt the lines of friendly banter and flirting for 3 years before Sawyer decides it's time cross the line.
These two meet at a wedding where they are suddenly paired together in the wedding party after Quinn catches her QB boyfriend with another bridesmaid. She affectionately names Sawyer her new best friend that night. That isn't good enough anymore, now that they are not thousands of miles apart.
"But making my way out of Kennedy’s friend zone and into her heart’s end zone was shaping up to be a fuck of a lot harder than I’d realized."
The relationship comes together so perfectly. I loved their story. As best friends, they leaned on each other for lifes struggles, and sharing there dreams. Once together as a couple, it was a learning curve on how keep leaning on one another. Both knew they needed and wanted one another, even if it took time, space and growing up to get there. It was all well worth the wait.
4.5🤩🤩🤩🤩 (ARC REVIEW) Ahhh! New author Reina Bell is doing the damn thing! Kismet is such a fantastic friends to lovers romance. The hero and heroine are a whole vibe and 100% meant for each other. The way Kennedy and Sawyer meet in the opening chapter is pure comedic gold. She’s a Broadway hopeful and he’s a pro football player. Their friendship is forged from a favor when Kennedy learns of a certain downtown chow down that sends her spiraling. Sawyer picks up the mantle and becomes her knight in shining football gear over the years. What develops between the two is nothing short of angsty. Lord, the angst! You could feel the sexual tension popping off the pages. Sawyer’s inner monologue really makes the book! He is so OTT protective of and in love with Kennedy. It’s the things that he doesn’t say that really brings this character life. The storyline is tight and the narrative is witty and engaging. Some missteps along the way provides for just the right amount of drama. And the good-good is HAWT! This book was hard to put down. I was so captivated by the developing romance and how it would play out. The secondary characters are also top notch, some of which we will likely see in their own stand-alone books. Ms. Bella has won a dedicated fan in me. Cheers to the next one! I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC. All thoughts and opinions are my own. Read if you’re down with: *Friends to Lovers *Witty Banner *Romantic Comedy *Kismet *Soulmates *OTT Hero *Good Storytelling
(ARC) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶🌶 This is my first football romance and my first Reina Bell book. I’d like to say thank you to Reina and her team for providing me an ARC of Kismet, it was such a good read!
Sawyer and Kennedy become best friends after Kennedy finds her man on his knees with another woman at their friends wedding. Three years later, Sawyer decides to move and switch football teams to be closer to her and to confess his feelings. Sawyer is all in from the get go and has to prove that his playboy status is no longer a thing. This book was really cute, Sawyer has an amazing personality and Kennedy is such a sweet gal! I definitely recommend this book if you love sports romance, and for the most part, just some good old fashioned swooning!
P.S. Sawyer should have stayed at Clemson instead of switching to OSU 😉

Thoughts -Fun, flirty with so many laughable moments. Most of the book I was grinning ear to ear. This is a great friends to lovers story. Even the low moments had a touch of sass and humour. I read it in one go and loved the chemistry and passion both Kennedy and Sawyer have. Recommend read.
Plot: Kennedy Quinn (broadway singer hopeful) and Sawyer Jackson (NFL tight end) become unlikely friends after a last minute change sees them paired at a friends wedding. Three years later they are closer than ever and finally living in the same city after Sawyer was traded in the NFL. With their relationship evolving, will there love be enough to keep them together.
* Character vulnerability * TENSION * Excellent banter * “I liked to think of myself as a manly man. I said “fuck” like it was necessary. Could hold my liquor, and was Kennedys offical spider assassin, but in that moment, I was a straight up sappy motherfucker”
