Cursed Shifters #3

Magic Hunted

Rate this book
I’m a despicable spy.
A woman feared and scorned for good reason.
An accidental touch will trigger my Change and reveal the truth.

My reputation has kept my secret safe but the ancient magic hidden deep inside me must be protected at all costs. I must complete the life’s mission my parents gave their lives for and unite myself with the other Chosen. It’s the only way The Six can be defeated and Earth freed from their tyranny.

In death, my mates find me. We’re caught in the wastelands, trapped in a labyrinth of tunnels deep underground and the bond is clouding my mind. Ancient magic leaches from me the more my mates wear me down.

We won’t survive if The Six finds us. My piece of the grimoire will be lost. Titan will kill my mates before I can claim the one thing I’ve not dared dream about. The only thing that will make me whole — love.

Magic Hunted is the third book in this dystopian romance series. This action-packed, heart-wrenching ride gives you a kickass heroine, three irresistible shifters, a steamy romance with no choosing required, and evil enemies like you've never seen before in each book.

Dissappointed

The first book int he series was so well thought out that these next two were just a dissapointment. It almost seems like either the first book’s editor was leagues above the second two or the author stopped liteneing to them.

Tgis could have been amazing, but the non sequitors from the first two book and restating the same thing over and over again seemed like page fillers. The recipe is nearly the same, though the foundation for a different type of angst between the main character and her mates was set. More story could have been told rather than repeating the same feeling over and over again (see, it’s annoying!)

Most irritatingly, words and phrases are used incorrectly, like “hands” that “covered over his shoulder”.

The worst part is that this could have been an amazing book. I preordered the next book after reading the first and beg the author to try and reach her potential rather than spit out a near copy of the previous three books (irregardless of whether it fits the character’s profile or not, like in the second book) with very little in moving the story forward. It’s the potentially amazingly written story that makes the past two such a let down.

"No tengo mate".

Great series! just a little whiny?

I love Charmaine's writing and I love this series but the main character is very whiny to me. Even when given all the facts and reason in the world, the reluctance and hesitation feel more drawn out than it needs to be. I understand the background but it's just overplayed. I gave 3 stars because I skipped through a lot but it wasn't a DNF for me.

quite tedious

The first book in the series was quite good, the second book is exactly the same as the first it got very tedious, but I thought it might get better with the third book.., wrong although it was slightly different (not much) it still was dragged out for far too long , glad I didn’t waste any money buying these books if you have read one then you have read them all, extremely predictable

I really like this one of the series. I love the drawn out smut of it and how the MC finds herself again. I’m giving 4 stars because it is a tad bit repetitive compared to the first two books but still worth a read.

My first DNF of the year.

I could not handle another book of almost the exact same mates/story as the last 2 books.
