Not a big fan of this one. Mostly because it was so exceedingly slow. The others have been slow but there were actions sequences to break up the monotony. I started dreading picking up this book which is not something I expected. While I may not be a huge fan, it did have some postives. For me, the biggest postive had to be the way the author handled Tess' depression and fear of infertility. It captured how difficult it can be and how depressing it can get. Jason really is a saint with how he handled Tess' outbursts and the rollercoaster of emotions he was on. The last few chapters were so good too. I love Daniel and he's quickly becoming a favorite of mine. Hes a overgrown teddy bear and he makes me smile. I want more of him in the coming books.

Boring

No one wants a day by day description of anyone's life stories are meant for exciting parts. To much fake made drama and the MC takes to much abuse for every direction to be as happy as you make him. Although, the book is horrible I still read it, so know you won't enjoy but might still end reading it.

it’s one of things, the books are short quick reads but…

I have read all ten of these casual farming: quiet living litrpg… so there is that. I wasn’t ejected from them. That said the flaws make so much of the whole I can’t remember the good.
I read mostly on my kindle, which meant with each chapter starting with the date I could compare to the % left in the book and noticed that each season was exactly 25% of the book. To the point that some of the shorter chapters felt like they were just glued in to make the page count line up just so.
It’s like listening to someone talk about their Facebook farming camp. There are no stakes, a reset to zero sucks but what can you do. I read a lot of fiction so I saw threads introduced that Never Pay Off but because they came up a couple of books earlier need to be brought up so that they can be left unresolved yet again.
I don’t recommend, even for fans of gamelit, as the game is a Facebook click to farm X style game.

Wonderful!

Spoilers!
I absolutely loved and appreciated this latest installment of the series! I have enjoyed the casual living aspect and the adventure that is sown so lovingly throughout the story. With this book, I have especially appreciated that it included Tess's depression, struggle with getting pregnant, and Jason's struggle to support her. Too often, these very (sadly) common things are not included in fiction. I felt for Jason and Tess as they found their way through these difficult things and the conflicts and reconciliation that arose. Thank you for helping to shed light on difficult and very human subjects that so many of us struggle with or have struggled with.

Jason Hunter finds love in a warrior maiden named Tess .

Jason Hunter left his city at the age of twenty four . Inherited his uncle's farm after years of hard work getting the farm back up a running properly met a warrior maiden Guildmaster of Summer Shandy named Tess . A no nonsense hard dungeon delver . At first at odds with everything slowly things changed as they interacted with each other saving the village of Summer Shandy over and over again . recommend reading excellent series .

It is decently written and a good book for bedtime or commercials while watching the news with half-attention. But I got really down about the massive depression a main character was going through. Jason is a saint, almost. The cover--no one in the book looks like this and the huge chest is supposed to appeal to--who??? It's kind of insulting as this isn't the kind of book someone would read who is looking for lots of sex. Bad choice, though the third was even worse. I want Jason to spend more time with the cook book, please.

Pretty entertaining

I really enjoyed reading this book. This is the fourth one in the series and it seems like everybody is getting paired up, which is kind of weird when it seems like the town doesn’t have that many single people in it. I don’t know if it’s a trope in these easy living books, but most of the conflict seems to come from misunderstandings that a simple conversation would fix. The writing is excellent as always.

Might be the best yet.

I really enjoyed reading this book. It touched on some subjects you do not normally find in fantasy. Impressive. Seriously impressive. The story and characters continue to be interesting and engaging. I'm really looking forward to seeing what happens next. This book is definitely a must read.

awesome

Love this series. Some adventure and action but the real story is the people. People being real people making mistakes, but not the oh no a two second conversation could fix this kinda mistake. Real well intentioned mistakes with people actually talking about how they feel and listening when upset.

riveting

Plenty of suspense, surprises, action, and drama. An enjoyable tome in the series that closed some chapters and opened new ones. Still many questions abound. Anxious for next book.

Get a thesaurus!

Scampering doesn't mean what you think it means. Look it up! Using it non-stop in this book and the last. I hate that word now.

You used the word 'lovely' 28 times! Learn how to articulate without endlessly repeating the same words over and over!

Just love a feel good story

I can’t explain the guilty pleasure that I get from reading this series. Usually, I’m all about the fight and the monsters and the drama, but I really love this series.

A god way to pad a while.

This is an odd book. While it lives up to its title, Slow Living LitRPG, it still cp!pelimg. Give it a try, you'll like it?

A nice change of pace

Fun story with a lot more to come. Instead of focusing on dungeons and monsters, it focuses on life. Very fun story!

Tess falls in depression from her father’s terrible treatment. We learn more about Jason’s uncle and the mystery of what he was doing. Still pretty boring though

Casual Farming 4

Jason is now married and has never been happier! He is settling into the his slow life as a farmer. The problem is this married life is a huge adjustment and changes can bring about some long avoided emotions and trauma to the surface.

This is truly a fantastic cozy series! It is genuinely relaxing to read about just day to day life in a fantastical world. This one did surprise me though, cozy doesn’t always mean happy. This one went through some pretty heavy topics. Sadly, it looks like the rest of the series will not be on audible as the narrator is no longer available.
