Notorious Horrid Henry is always up to his usual tricks and causing mischief. His brother, Perfect Peter, on the other hand keeps himself out of trouble. Henry is very envious of his brother.
A break out of nits broke out at Henry's School. Knowing he was the cause of it, Henry decided to discreetly spread them to his fellow class friends. Scratch, Scratch, Scratch to Mum, Dad and even Perfect Peter. Scratch, scratch, scratch to all the children as well as Miss Battle - Axe.
Later Horrid Henry is yet again up to usual tricks where he starts to make up some of his favourite concoctions, such as Rotten Crispies, Nasty Nuts and Dungeon Drink, only to find that later on Mum and Dad have visitors.

Francesca Simon writes in a naughty, but humorous way. She uses alliteration, repetition and descriptive language. I thought this book was a great easy - read book. I particularly enjoyed the wittiness and mischievousness. The grammar and basic language indicate to me this book would be aimed at year 2/year 3 children.
