In 2003, Cindy Monroe founded Thirty-One Gifts in the basement of her home in Chattanooga, TN with one to help women by giving them the opportunity to run their own successful businesses. Today, she continues to lead Thirty-One Gifts and build relationships with her Consultants all over the country. In More than a Celebrating the First 20 Years of the Thirty-One Story, Cindy, along with contributors Julie Sutton and Cathy Smith, share the backstory of how their journey together led to the making of Thirty-One Gifts, one of the largest direct sales companies started in the last 20 years, with more than five-billion dollars in total sales. More than a Bag gives readers a first-row seat to the bumps and wins that made Thirty-One Gifts what it is now, emphasizing the always-present-reminder that success was only measured by how they made others feel. This book is Cindy’s love letter to the employees and Consultants at Thirty-One, and a way to honor all who have been a part of this journey.
I was a TOG employee for about 3 years, so it was fun to read about things I remember. I loved my time there and the people I got to know and work with. So for me, that’s why the book resonated. If I didn’t have that direct connection, I’m not sure I would have enjoyed it.
