What Do We Know About?

What Do We Know About Alien Abduction?

Rate this book
The What Do We Know About? series explores the mysterious, the unknown, and the unexplained. Are there really aliens visiting Earth to observe and interact with humans?

In 1961, Betty and Barney Hill claimed to have experienced a bizarre night that included extraterrestrials, flying saucers, and a few lost hours during which they could recall very little until they underwent hypnosis. Their mysterious story was just the first of many that have been told by people who have since come forward with their own similar experiences. Although there are thousands of people who claim to have experienced alien abduction, much of the world remains skeptical. Is alien abduction a real phenomenon that has affected people worldwide or just an imagined shared experience? Could the US government be working to cover up these stories? Here are the the facts about what we really know about Alien Abduction.

A well written, easy to digest children's book about the timeline of events for when people started to experience sightings of UFO's and how the sightings created certain media and book influences like the Men in Black series. That little bit I didn't know about which was cool. The book is very educational with pictures, showing the events from eyewitnesses that are famous in our history. They also don't disagree or agree about the truth. The book simply tells our history of the subject of what we call Aliens and how we came to know about it today. Kids can then look further into each story and people involved, if they become curious about a specific event that happened. Which is why this book leaves interpretation to the reader for what they wish to believe.

A simple book and it's supposed to be. I didn't like how it seemed to glorify authors and alien based media because there’s just so much to cover it was very nitpicky to just do a handful. The art style was my favorite part of the book, I love the illustrations and full page spreads.

I think kids will like this book, it will hold their attention and help them pronounce certain words. It has a bibliography, a timeline, and is open to interpretation.

There should be a disclaimer on the cover of this book that there is no proof that any part of this is true.

Otherwise, it’s interesting to listen to how gullible people can be.

I did the audio of this but that edition wasn't available.

Fun and interesting and I'll look up some of the incidents mentioned.

Re listened with my sister.

To think we aren't the only civilization in our galaxy, let alone outside the galaxy, isn't that far fetched.

The 8 year old loved it. It seemed like a retread of content from others in the series. on the whole, the Who Was and What Was books are superior to the newer What Do We Know group.
