The Three Keys: Managing Stress and Anger

Rate this book
The Three Keys is an evidence-based program that contains the most effective evidence-based strategies that help to keep stress and anger levels down. The program is based on the seven biggest factors that contribute to a healthy mind. These factors are broken down in to three main Observation, Relaxation and Reenergise. When implemented, The Three Keys will help you to function better in this chaotic modern world.

Part 1 explores unhelpful and unproductive thinking patterns and habits. Most of us are unaware that our thinking is one of the major causes of the most common psychological issues today. Most don’t realise how much control our minds have over us, or how powerful our beliefs are. The COVID-19 pandemic has seen an increase in mental health issues globally and has highlighted and exacerbated the many problems of society like social isolation, lack of exercise, and isolation from the natural world. These issues are all clearly bad for our health. The pandemic has taught us the importance of looking after our psychological well-being.

This book provides the tools and the knowledge to help you regulate your nervous system, allowing you to manage stress and to control your anger. Rather than letting your anger and thoughts control you. In addition to managing anger and stress, this book is also useful for people who struggle with anxiety. It offers a unique twist on unhelpful thinking styles (cognitive distortions) with the goal of providing the reader with the how and how to control our thoughts? Why is it important?

I initially developed The Three Keys to help myself. It is a mnemonic that helps me to this day keep on top of my work-related stress. How often do we hear about people on the news these days unnecessarily killing themselves and their families due to uncontrollable anger, or domestic violence leading to death? Every time I hear it, I realise the importance of this book and the need to get it out to people in hope that it may help save a life. My own anger level these days is almost non-existent.
