Forbidden love…
If Susana’s sister knew she was dating, she’d sequester her ass to the tallest tower so fast her head would spin. Her boyfriend is everything Cassandra hates, an Outcast and a biker, and it’s only a matter of time before their clandestine rendezvous blows up in her face.
A missing sister…
Fighting professionally might be Cassandra Dayan's livelihood, but it's her sister that's her life. When she comes home to a wrecked house and a missing sister, her desperate search upsets the brutally maintained balance of the North Californian coast.
At any cost…
Going against the Order is a death sentence, but doing nothing is not an option. Cassandra will find her sister even if it means endangering the lives of everyone who crosses her path or joins her cause. She doesn’t care who gets hurt or what promises get broken.
All that matters is bringing her sister home.

I love fantasy in nearly all its forms, and multidimensional characters, with complicated, dynamic relationships, and questionable morals.

I'm a queer, Brazilian-American Author, who writes diverse, queer characters in settings where that's the norm, and the drama lies elsewhere!

Words won’t be enough to describe how this book made me feel!

The journey I went through as Cassandra was trying to get Susana back home!
First and foremost fu€k the order!
There I said it! Wow they made me so mad.

My favorite character and the one that hold my heart right now I Kaiden! This woman can do whatever she wants to me! Because I loved reading about her shameful flirting! The hots she had for our girl Cassandra! Each time she would sit there and say some swooney or just blunt assessment for her hotness! Lol
I was there for it the moment it began! Her humor or personality is a whole vibe.

The amount of things addressed in this book
We even have dark matters as drug addiction in here, violence, torture, kidnapping

There is this wonderful found family aspect too. Which always gets me. What one that’s not blood related can move mountains to help one another.
That was Xavier, morgan, Mackenzie!

Even Jaelle is vinalized….yet I freaking love her unhinged behavior at times, well the sexy times.

The rep for a beautiful f/f romance ❤️❤️

There were moments in here where I was just falling in love. So many times over. The love Flynn showed for susana! The love teddy showed her too as well as Rowan.
I fell in love with Kaiden and the way she was tortured never really knew the meaning of love. There were so many parts that had my heart cracking.

Though this was an emotional ride, with adventure, chaos and love

I loved this book. Every element to this!
It’s incredible that I just read a book so in-depth in supernatural or “inhuman” so many rules and Division so damn fascinating!

But the ending! The freaking ending I cried a bit I’m not gonna lie.

Can’t wait to see more from this author

OhMYGOSH !!!!
The action and the characters in this book were AMAZING !!!! I felt invested , and my heart was racing , and I am totally on board with reading the next !!!!
I can see a LONG story arcs for future books, and even though I am not much for F\F action, I thought the scenes were well done. Lots of information was packed into here and the whole reading experience was pretty awesome !!!
Of course, I think that there is much more story to come , and I am looking forward to it !!

Let me start by saying the writing style and description’s in this book were amazing. Shifters are my second loves (vamps being the first 😅).

So when I read the premise of Bring her home I was immediately sold! A sister who would wage war on the entire world to get her sister back?!? Say less! The actual plot kept me engrossed, the thing is I just did not like most of the characters personalities. I understand where they were coming from and why they might have felt or acted a particular way but that did nothing to make me like them more. The only characters I really liked were the captives and I struggled with myself not to skim and rush to their parts.

That being said I absolutely would read from this author again.

I don't know what I expected when I decided to read this book, but this book was everything and then some. This book was an emotional roller coaster ride that I didn't want to get off of. This story took me on an incredible journey to bring Susana home. From the development and personalities of the characters to the action-packed fight scenes. The chemistry and tension between Cass and Kaiden was everything! I need the next book in the series ASAP! R.N. Barbosa's writing is sooo good that I can't wait to read their future works.

Without spoiling anything this book was a masterpiece from the writing style to the actual story telling. I personally love love shifters so that was already a selling point to keep me intrigued. I love how we got great detail to get an understanding of the character’s personalities you rarely see that in a book , characters personalities are up for interpretation typically. The romance was beautiful written , for those who are looking for a forbidden romance story. I really hope to see more to this story. And be selected for future ARCs. Add this title to your next book haul on November 18th 2022, you will NOT regret it.

I was truly stunned by how intense and amazing Bring Her Home was. I was plastered to it like I could never let it go. And I didn’t. I didn’t want to stop reading. I thoroughly, and deeply enjoyed reading the world that R.N. Barbosa grew and nurtured!

Firstly, lets talk about how stunning the cover of Bring Her Home is!!! I am in love with the vibrant but dark nature of it, and the artwork is a story in itself!! Beautiful, and intense!! It’s eye-catching!! Definitely something that would spark my interest if I were to walk into a book store and see it!!

I am a person who absolutely adores multiple POV in books. It allows for a wide arrange of events to happen, feeling and emotions to be experience, and more ways to have your mind blown!! Barbosa wasn’t shy with blowing my mind, and that’s 3,000% okay with me!!

I loved how Bring Her Home had two main stories within the book, both equally intense, brutal, and unrelenting towards your emotions [and then several more stories branching from these two main stories; everything tying into everything, creating a domino effect within each story].

I have always been a lover of all things paranormal and fantasy, whether it be vampires, werewolves, wereleopards, shapeshifters, witches, fae, etc. etc. And Barbosa brought so much to the table involving the paranormal. I was shaken to my soul at the descriptions and stories of each character she brought to life.

I went through a rollercoaster of emotions with Bring Her Home. And I would gladly, GLADLY continue to ride this emotional roller coaster that Barbosa has created!!

I want to thank R.N. Barbosa for creating such a beautiful, intense, emotion, and dark book!! It was everything I could have asked for!!

Non-Spoiler Review ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Barbosa fuck3d me with no grease in ‘Bring Her Home.’

Emotional throughout the entire narrative, I don’t know that my goosepimples ever left my flesh.

We typically read about love struck people saving their partners (zero hate, just facts), so it was beyond refreshing and alluring to read about a sister willing to quite literally do anything to bring her sister back home.

The Author’s writing style had me believing I was standing with the characters feeling every emotion displayed. As a multi-pov, we get the chance to understand how differently people grieve from their mistakes and/or losses, and what they are willing to do to “fix” it. We see how others can be a guiding light to our brokenness but how we can’t solely rely on them to heal us.

Ooh!! AND THE WITTINESS from my girl, Kaiden! I’ll love her until my dying breath! I couldn’t fold enough of her pages. My partner needs to step up their game with spitting them lines.

Dark Fantasy is forever my favorite genre. The thicker the better. And the author delivered, ‘cause this one is THICC! 🤤

I can’t wait for book two!!! ♥️

This book is a whole adventure. When Susana goes missing, her sister Cassandra will do anything to find her. The Order wants her to sit back and let the police handle it, but Cassandra can’t sit still and wait. Will she go rogue and find her sister?

This is the book that keeps on giving. Between the romance and action – the pages turned as I had to know what happened next. I loved the multiple POV as it gave the reader a chance to know and understand these characters. I have so many thoughts and feelings about the supporting characters…and might also want to go for a drink with some of them!

The first in a series, Bring Her Home is an intense paranormal romance that keeps you on the edge of your seat. Can’t wait for the second book in this series!

When I heard the premise of this book, I was really excited to read it. There are shifters, vampires, and other paranormal characters. So what’s not to love. A sister fighting to find her kidnapped sister finds love along the way. I will have to say that I had a hard time with each chapter switching character POVs. I’m usually good with one or two character POVs. The chapters were quite long most of the time and could possibly be broken into two at times. Overall, I liked the characters except Cass’s prejudice against the Outcasts. Without having a back story to understand why she felt the way she did, it was hard to relate to. All in all, I enjoyed the book and look forward to more from Rebecca.

Sapphic spicy dark urban fantasy that will absolutely emotionally devastate you. Check TWs!!

Bring Her Home asks the question “how far would you go to save your sister? What are you willing to overlook or forgive in order to bring her home safely?”

Cassandra and Susana are werewolf sisters - when Susana is kidnapped by a human hate group determined to exterminate inhumans, Cassandra has to act.

The Order, a lawful evil military governing body comprised of Nephilim (angels) immediately puts up roadblock after roadblock. Their only concern is protecting humanity, and they act with swift and horrible vengeance upon any inhuman who steps out of line.

This book is full of morally grey, complex female characters. Cassandra herself is a cage fighter and struggles with prejudice that interferes with her ability to accept help. Kaiden is a fallen Nephilim hired to take up Cassandra’s cause.

Ohhh can we talk about Kaiden? She is flirty, fierce, angsty, and sometimes downright frightening. Her trauma is written with exquisite care, and she’s one of the most unique and compelling characters I’ve ever encountered. She will break your heart and you’ll love her even more for it.

Barbosa’s prose is gorgeous without being overly ornate. I adore their setting descriptions and the action and spice are incredibly compelling. The politics are intricate and the social structures crafted with care. Excellent world building that leaves you fully immersed.

“Bring Her Home” is an emotionally damaging delight.

This review is going to probably be all over the place because the chokehold this novel has on me even months later is not even funny and I can't fully articulate everything that is amazing about this book.

Bold, descriptive, flawed characters, sapphic romance (without any homophobia as a plot point!), and heartbreaking. It has wolf shifters, wolf shifters with motorcycles 👀, vampires, nephilim, dark fae, witches! Not to mention, the world-building is god-tier. This multi-pov novel could quite literally be a lesson on how to build your world properly as a writer.

This is the type of book that you may have to stare into the distance, open mouth breathing, while you try to decipher exactly what just happened and how you feel about it. It stays with you long after you set it down.

While reading it, I felt the deep sense of urgency to bring Susana home that required me to see the story through.

You're going to cry. You're going to be angry. You're going to get the chills and love characters so deeply you'll miss them for months. But it is a good kind of suffering if anything.

Also, I'd die for Graham, but I'd kill for Rowan.

Bring it home, bring Susana home, cry a bit... or a lot, heal some trauma. It is a whole experience you can't miss.

Hey, do you remember the early 2000s when Anita Blake was the book? Of course you don’t, you have no idea who she is cause you were born in 2000. Well, strap in, Banana, because you are about to go on a RIDE reminiscent of those times, but better. This book starts off all sweet with a young couple in love but it quickly grabs you by the nape of the neck and drags you down an action packed gut wrenching ride.

I’ll be honest, I fell out of the urban fantasy genre when I stopped being an angsty teen but this book brought me back. Barbosa is an AMAZING author, and she does not let you forget in this book. Her characters are diverse, queer, and real people put into really stressful situations. Not only is it action packed, angsty and tense, but it gives wolves some of their bite back that they’ve been missing for a while.

Also, while this book isn’t a romance, there’s a lot of Sapphic love happening here. Just saying.

Read more diverse books and pick up this one. She’s THICC, but she’s so so worth the read.

Firstly holy shit the world-building, the action, the ROMANCE was all muah perfection! I need more, like a chocolate cake I need MORE! I am not one for f/f romance [activally searching for it] but holy hell did this book just 180 that for me. I cannot wait to see what comes next!!!

READ THIS, that is my rec, YOU will not regret it for a moment!

This is a multiple pov, supernatural romance with a lot of plot. It took me a while to get into this book. There is a whole new world to learn and it takes some time. Once I was there, once I was seeing the big picture, I enjoyed Bring Her Home! Cassandra’s character started out totally unlikeable for me. She is reckless and continuously puts her anger before common sense, her sister and everyone else’s well being, including her own. As the story moves on Cassandra grows so much and I grew to like her character. I can’t wait to see what happens next!!

A thick fast rollercoaster of emotions and action, with a splash of spice.

A thick fast rollercoaster of emotions and action, with a splash of spice. The characters all have backstories that feel authentic, the main characters have genuine character growth, and clear flaws or goals that feel integral to their journey. The multiple POV keep the suspense palpable and the pages turning. The cast of characters is introduced organically. Every character feels like they play a necessary part in the story. I absolutely adored most of the characters. However, be prepared to despise and loathe the antagonistic characters, as they are so well written you will wish they were real just so you could punch them yourself.

The plot is beautifully thought out and progresses in a naturally rapid way that makes it difficult to put down. The world building is wonderful without over complicating anything. Expansive as the lore is, it is easy to follow.

Be prepared to laugh, blush, cry and scream. The banter and flirting is a work of art. The dark parts made me physically cringe because they were so well written. You can't read this without feeling every emotion.

Plus a queer and diverse ensemble, you literally can't ask for me because Barbosa has already given it to you.

It took me a while to finish this one, not because it was bad or anything, but because I felt like Cassandra. It was dragging on to find her sister, and I was getting impatient and angry too. Loose ends, with no end in sight until the last second when Kaiden, my girl, comes in clutch.

The writing was *chefs kiss* and I have no complaints. My favorite character was Kaiden though, obviously, because I have a soft spot for the traumatized, masking characters. 🫠
I love Cass and Kaiden together and the slow burn 🔥 *400 plus pages later* 😒😒

These characters take you through the wringer, and if you're like me, you feel it alongside them.
Also... a cliffhanger. Really?!

You've been warned!
I may have sent an angry message or two 😂

This wasn't a spoiler, mostly emotional ramblings, this dear author friend of mine that I love dearly likes to torture me with.

First of all, I cannot recommend this book enough or to enough people. The first entry into what I hope to be an extensive series, the "Wolves of Black Water Valley", was absolutely gripping from start to finish. The characters are beautifully written, complex, and completely individual from anything I've read. The settings are realistic and hauntingly written, and the plot? Phew, I felt like I was there! Every twist and turn left me breathless, it was impossible to put down and I've never been happier to stay up reading until three am, anxious and equally terrified for the next page. If you like action, if you like intrigue, the struggles of family and complex interpersonal relationships, as well as some very lovely spice, don't hesitate to pick this up! You won't regret it!

Cassandra is a tough as nails Lycan who doesn't really care about much except her pack and her dear little sister. When Susana gets snatched away Cassandra does everything in her power to get her back, including teaming up with a pack she doesn't like and finding love along the way. This book is a knock out from beginning to end. There is beautiful character development for so many characters especially Cassandra and her love interest. It is a multiple pov but it works pretty fantastically. If you like books filled with supernatural beings of all kinds with a splash of spice then this book is definitely for you! Also I should mention I was given an opportunity to read this book for an honest opinion.

THIS BOOK. It hooks you, submerses you, and leaves you aching for more.

BHH is a supernatural romance with some dark vibes and action that has your blood pumping. It's a multi POV tale, following our three FMCs as the sisters fight to reunite.

Barbosa weaves an intricate world with flushed out characters that I want to hang out with…and some that I may be in love with. (Kaiden is mine.) Her story telling is next level.

This book had me broken at the end in a really good way. The story is tied up at the end, leaving just enough hanging to have me dying for the next book so I can experience Barbosa's world again.

What a ride

I thoroughly enjoyed diving into this world. The characters were fleshed out so perfectly that I found myself truly caring for each of them. I especially loved Kaiden. Cassandra's journey was so heartbreaking but also so important for her character. I really hope there is more to come because I have to know what happens to Kaiden.
I will say that the pace was a bit slow for my taste, but that is only a personal preference and in no way reflects the author's writing. In fact, I really enjoyed the author's voice and style of writing.
Can't wait to read more from them!

Beautifully descriptive imagery with threads of hope woven through tense moments, author R. N. Barbosa has written an incredible urban fantasy that pulls the reader in and locks the door behind you. A sapphic, slow burn, paranormal crime drama with wolf shifters, witches, nephilim, and more, Bring Her Home is an exceptional read of a wolf shifter determined to find her kidnapped sister. Featuring an intricate plot, solid characters, intense connections, morally grey FMCs, unexpected twists, and humor during dark moments, this is easily a top fave read for me! I can't wait to read more by Barbosa!

Bring her Home

Loved this book. New genre for me but was hooked with the wolf shifters. All kinds of non humans. All kinds of diversity, with a spotlight on awful and divisive outcome of bigotry and hatred. May be fantasy but imitates the real world on that. Love the relationships and the chance for redemption. Well done and can’t wait for the next book! ♥️

Barbosa has crafted an elegantly gritty world populated by various species of badass peoples. While kind of slow start, the pace quickens and I found myself engrossed.

By far my favorite character is Kaiden, despite so many stand out POV characters.

Solid world-building, a good setup for book 2, and considering this was her debut novel Bring Her Home crushed it.

I read a lot of smaller authors, and self-published authors, and Barbosa has done a great job not just with solid storylines, but she also had no memorable typos and no formatting issues on Kindle which for small authors I feel is almost a given at this point. If this is the quality of work Barbosa puts out for her first novel - I'm excited to see how she can improve even more over time.
