Daisy Tolliver has recently moved back into her family’s lake house after being away for eight long years. Picking up the pieces after a failed marriage, Daisy is ready to take control of her life once again. Back in the small town she grew up in brings back the memories and emotions she tried so hard to forget after having her heart broken after graduation. Daisy hopes she’ll be able to avoid her ex-boyfriend forever.
Jake Fletcher has lived in Diamond Falls since the day he was born. Having taken over the family business, Jake helps everyone in town with all their plumbing needs. One thing he can’t flush out is the regret he feels about breaking Daisy’s heart. When she moves back home, Jake prays she’ll give him a second chance to make things right.
Join Daisy and Jake as they find ways to co-exist in small-town Diamond Falls. With everyone in town rooting for them, will the pressure be too much? Can Daisy find it in her heart to forgive him? All will be revealed in this clean romantic comedy about second-chances.
Daisy, Ivy and Poppy are three sisters that live together in a small town where everyone knows everyone else’ business and the latest gossip. This novella follows Daisy and her opportunities to find out once and for all what happened (or what appeared to happen) via Jake’s very own mouth
Very quick to read but maybe due to the novella length, the characters didn’t have the same depth that a longer story would probably give.
Received this as an Advanced Reader Copy and this is my own opinion.
Daisy is back in her hometown after her mother’s passing, living with her sisters. She had not seen Jake since he broke her heart after graduation. Now she has to decide if she wants to rekindle the romance just as her nemesis comes back to town. This is such a cute book and a pretty quick read. Really liked the characters and the storyline. Can’t wait for the next book.

Short and sweet. Second chance romance. The first of three sisters to find her special someone. Pleasant, quick read. I appreciated the communication factor. Some books tend to drag problems out when a simple conversation would clarify things. Of course, this being a short story did help move things along. Thanks to the author for providing a copy. My review is voluntary.
A cute 2nd chance romance. Daisy seems jinxed as her 1st boyfriend ended bad, then marriage ended in a divorce. She moved back home and had to face her ex 1st boyfriend. Appreciate Dottie Morgan confronting issues with dialog. Life is so much easier when we face problems face on. Great book!
This book was an easy fun read. There were a few background references that were alluded to but not answered which left me wondering if I missed something. Other than that, the book was a good wholesome read. The characters and storyline seemed real. I enjoyed this book and look forward to reading about the other sisters.
I really enjoyed it but it was too short and the ending seemed rushed. It left me wanting more. Daisy is returning home to live with her sisters after a divorce. She’s fortunate to find a job she wants. But she’s going to have to call the ex-boyfriend to fix the shower to make life livable for the 3 sisters. This is a sweet novella even if it is too short.

This is a cute little story about Jake and Daisy who had a misunderstanding back at the end of high school and are now back in the same town again. This is the first story about the Tolliver sisters and two more will follow.
It is really nice, easy to read novella about the oldest Tolliver sister - Daisy, and her come back to her home town. Would she be able to reconcile with her ex-boyfriend after long time? You will find the answer in this book
This was a very quick and easy read. However, I found the "episodes" to be very distracting and, at first, confusing. Both plot and characters could be more complex.
This was an enjoyable short read. I found the characters relatable and the story realistic, too bad it was only a short story. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
