This was alright! It was gross, but I mean, you can kind of assume that from the title and cover image. I know it's a REALLY short story, but it needed less focus on the build-up and the pain, and more focus on where the hell these worms were coming from. I really don't like comparing stories in a negative manner, so I try not to do this often, but there was a story in Corpse Cold: New American Folklore that followed a similar plotline but did it SO much better (it's been years and I still get queasy thinking about it) that it made this one feel extra lackluster.

This quick story sure packs a punch. You jump right into the action and it doesn’t let up. Even after the last line.

This story is one reason I never want to eat spaghetti ever again.

Gnarly, short but oh so good… 😆

This is a very short story by Lori. They sure know how to gross people out with the content of these little tales… oh how I like this!

This one is about toothache and what might be lurking inside those cavities left behind when teeth are pulled…

I blame Lexie and Heather for making me read this. 2.5 mins long and I’m even more uncomfortable with bugs.

Such a short but powerful story, I really loved it!
It was gross and terrifying, if you like body horror you’ll definitely going to love this one!
Also I don’t think I’m going to eat spaghetti for a while.

This was very well written, and very ridiculous. 😂 3.5⭐️ Because of how well written it was, but…. Why were the worms there? I need to know. Thanks for making me question spaghetti, Lor.

A short story about a man who has itching and pain in his mouth that refuses to go away, he decides to take matters into his own hands and works at the tooth that’s bothering him with a pair or pliers.

A good short story with good pacing, about 6 pages, definitely good for what it was!

Thanks to Heather and Wren I read this. Surprisingly I laughed at parts. Not so surprisingly I covered my mouth and cringed at parts. Glad I don’t have any spaghetti in the house. 🤢

This was super short, but fun. It reminded me of my last dental emergency. I wrote a semi-raving post one night when I was kept up by severe pain. Painkillers didn’t help. I thought about pliers. Mostly I paced in the dark and cried. I made it through the night and my dentist got me in the next day. No worms. No lost spaghetti. But man, I could have written this that night. This story effectively captures that middle of the night impossible tooth pain state of mind.

Pretty much exactly what it says on the tin, Lor takes us down the path of everyone's big fear. Toothache is a nightmare but this body horror makes you want to book an appointment with the dentists asap. This short, sharp story will make you wonder what else Lor has up his sleeve.

Gross. Squirmy. Enjoyable.
This was a really fun short story. I don’t recommend reading it right before a dentist appointment, but otherwise it’s a fun and gross read!
