Riko and Sousuke would make a very attractive couple. They already have the tension between them, they just have to act on it 🤭 Anyway, Riko is a good friend to Nao - she's protective and looks out for her.

Nao and Kouichi's relationship hasn't progressed much but it looks like Kouichi genuinely likes Nao and wants to come clean to her, so at least he's moving in the right direction. He's not a scumbag but he's definitely a pushover. Then again, if he hadn't said yes to the bet, he and Nao would never have gotten together.

3.5 rounded down since I dislike the choice of extending the bet. Tje sports date was cute and serves to build up both love leads friends and their importance going forward as they help set them up for further romance with a fun back and forth from the blunt untrusting female and easygoing dude. The beach date was cute too and sweet. It was a bit of shame that instead of having the bet confession here it was dragged out to the third volume. I would want more time for them dating and dealing with other problems like her leaving rather than extending the bet melodrama. I'm sure it can work out and could lead to a big momentous finale with the bet confession AND dealing with her leaving but I'd prefer to see more fluffy romance moments without the bet confession melodrama.
