Three simple rules. All I had to do was follow three simple rules, and I’d complete graduate school.
Rule #1: Ace my tests. Rule #2: Complete my assigned clinical hours. Rule #3: Do not fall for the doctor at the aforementioned assigned clinical placement.
Well…two out of three ain’t bad, right?
Rule #3 would be so much easier to follow if Finn, that jerk of a doctor, wasn’t so handsome. The two of us mix about as well as oil and vinegar. If opposites attract, why does my flight response kick in whenever I’m within a two-foot radius of Finn?
After a failed engagement that ended in heartbreak, you’d think I’d be the one drowning in my own bitterness, but Finn is doing that enough for both of us.
I guess there’s a reason he’s aptly earned the nickname Dr. Dick.
Three simple rules. All I had to do was follow three simple rules, and I’d never have to see Dr. Dick again.
There’s only one tiny problem…
I think he might be growing on me—the grumpy, pessimistic man I never saw coming.
A.P. Watson grew up in the small town of Estill Springs, Tennessee. Living in a rural area allowed her imagination to run wild, and she began making up stories in her head at a young age. Being an avid reader furthered her love for storytelling. Her favorite books to read have almost always been heavily doused in romance, but she continues to enjoy a variety of authors—from Jane Austen and Charlaine Harris to Ayn Rand and Edgar Allan Poe. Finding herself immersed in unfamiliar worlds only inspired her to put pen to paper, and eventually, her love for reading transformed her into a writer.
While her reading preferences have no limits, she tends to write stories in the realms of contemporary and paranormal romance. Her stories are the culmination of her passions, combining her love for art, history, dance, and medicine. As she grows as a writer, A.P. would like to branch out into other genres while maintaining a central romantic theme.
When she isn’t reading or writing, A.P. spends the majority of her time dancing. She has been an avid pole dancer for several years and has performed in major cities all over the South. She is constantly enraptured by the athleticism, grace, and beauty of the sport and always looks forward to choreographing her next routine. A.P. has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from East Tennessee State University, and in 2019, she obtained a Master of Science in Nursing with a Family Nurse Practitioner concentration from the same university. She has worked as a critical care nurse for over eight years and loves to incorporate her medical knowledge and experience into her writing. Her goal as an FNP is to combine her love for aesthetics and skincare by becoming certified to administer Botox and dermal fillers. She currently resides in Johnson City, Tennessee, with her adorable rescue pup, Elle.
I'm a HUGE fan of romance stories in the medical profession (Grey's Anatomy is my favorite show), and this A.P. Watson gave us an amazing page turner with Pulseless. Our heroine (Ember) had three simple rules to follow in order to finish graduate school, however, Finn was definitely a complication & had a delightful rep (LOL) to boot. They really do have the sparks flying but both have been burned in the past with relationships so you already know the push & pull may get frustrating but I'll never tell. I LOVED this book so much, and man, I had a book hangover that's for sure since I wanted so much more. This author is so talented, and very addictive so once I started the book, I didn't move until I ran out of pages to read. Don't pass Pulseless up as you would be missing out as I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Well A.P Watson has truly outdone herself once again . Pulseless is the love story of Finn and Ember and trust me when I say it’s a emotional rollercoaster in every sense of the word . Doctor / nurse relationship, hurt , past loves , grumpy sunshine, opposites attract, heartbreaking, heartfelt, second chances , family , friendships, drama , ups and downs , humor , angst , witty banter , sweet , sexy , unforgettable and unputdownable. I honestly do not think I have devoured a book as fast as I did this one in a very long time . It really was the perfect blend of all the things a greed romance should be
Ember Phillips is studying to be a nurse practitioner. She is almost ready to graduate, except for the 200 hours of clinical experience she has to complete. She gets her chance to accomplish that goal by working at a private practice run by Dr. Finn Linwood. Unfortunately, she and Finn don't exactly get off on the right foot. He has developed a reputation for being rude and impatient with med students, and as a result of that reputation, he has been given an unflattering nickname. However, Ember is determined to make it through her clinical requirement and graduate. She decides that she will kill him with kindness. Will she be able to break through his rough exterior and see that this doctor actually has a heart of gold?
I loved this book! It was written from both of the main characters perspectives, which was great because I got to fall in love with both of them. I also loved the secondary characters and how much they cared for the main couple. I can't wait to read more by this author!
This is Finn and Ember’s story. Ember is so close to finishing graduate school, with just three simple rules to follow. Finn is the grumpy doctor assigned for the clinical placements, and he and Ember are like petrol and a match, complete opposites. Both characters have been burnt in the past, leaving them wary of another relationship. This is a well written story which is sweet, and with emotions, humor, trust, challenges, and love, which leads to an entertaining page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
Ember is determined to finish graduate school without complications. The biggest complication comes in the form of the handsome, Finn, who makes her heart race. Her rulebook flies out the window as the sparks fly between them. Misunderstanding and hidden feelings ensue when the passion between them is unable to be ignored. Will they have the courage to fight for their relationship? Or will past hurt be the cause of their downfall?
Three rules to graduate… Rule #1: Ace my tests. Rule #2: Complete my assigned clinical hours. Rule #3: Do not fall for the doctor at the aforementioned assigned clinical placement. Ember & Finn had an intriguing read. And am voluntarily leaving my review.
Ember is working in getting her nurse practitioner degree. She has to get her hours of clinical experience done to graduate. She goes to work for Dr. Finn Linwood to find that he does not like training students. Will she be able to get him to work with her?
If you are looking for an emotional rollar coaster, Pulseless is the perfect escape. I read this one in one sitting. Finn was a perfect hero. This was my first read from this author but it will not be the last.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Ember is a student and doing her clinical hours for becoming a nurse practitioner and Dr. Dick is the handsome doctor who runs the practice she is working at. Ember and Finn have an immediate attraction to each other and the whole office is part of a pool betting on if they will get together! They both have rocky past relationships that cause them to use caution but that makes the romance so much better because they can connect on so many different levels. Great sweet romance!
