And what adventures they've had so far at Mother's! With a new section of the resort open and operating, numerous new guests, and two weddings about to take place, the women have their hands full. Can they juggle everything that's going on in their lives and business and still produce two amazing weddings?
Walk down the aisle with them on Compass Key and find out.
A wonderful continuation of this fabulous story. Although I still think there is more to be told😁So many possibilities in a stunning area. Please Maggie.
Enjoyable series, a few items I am still going why was that included? But it definitely makes me want to find this place and go visit, the food alone sounds amazing but the water and the scen and the friendships.
This book is a wonderful ending to the Compass Key series. It’s emotional, entertaining, and romantic. I laughed and cried, and I loved every moment of it. I felt like I was there (and wished I really were)!

Memorable Quotes: Olivia stomped up the steps, key in hand, and began to unlock the door. “Come inside and we’ll figure something out. But obviously, you’re not going to wear her dress. I can’t even imagine what her dress looks like it.” “It’s very…big. And blingy. And while I have nothing against sparkle, this thing has actual rhinestones on it that are bigger than my thumb. Plus, it looks like lingerie. And not in a good way.” Her mother’s lip curled. “You mean she actually brought it with her?” Jenny put her hands on her hips. “She came with four suitcases. Four. Yeah, she brought it.” Olivia sighed toward the sky. “That woman.” She pursed her lips. “Your dress is beautiful and very you and perfect for a beach ceremony. There’s no reason for her to suggest such a thing except that she’s trying to take control.” “Or worse,” Jenny said. Her mother opened the door and stepped back to let Jenny go inside first. “What do you mean, worse?” Jenny sighed, almost on the verge of tears. “I think…I think she might be trying to break Nick and I up.” “What?” Olivia shut the door so hard it almost slammed. “You’re about to get married. I know it’s not a big wedding, but things are in place. Flowers are ordered, the menu is set, the guests have been invited. Does she really think that’s something she can accomplish?” She shook her head. “Forget I asked. Of course she does. She kept Nick away from Arthur until the poor man died.” A sob tore from Jenny’s throat. “Mom, I love him. I can’t lose him.” “He’s not going to call things off because you don’t want to wear his mother’s dress, I promise you that, sweetheart. Nick’s eyes were opened to Yolanda’s shenanigans a long time ago. Not to mention he loves you very much. I can see it in his eyes every time he looks at you.”

My thoughts: 🔖Page 208 of 352 Chapter Twenty-seven - There was an engaged couple and 2 proposals in the last book so I'm trying to figure out how we went from 3 upcoming weddings to 2. It turns out one couple opted for a long engagement, I wish it had been said earlier instead of me wasting brain cells on the change. There are so many characters and storylines it is hard to stay connected to them.
This was honestly okay, it felt partly like a good ending, and partly like we were dancing in circles to make the story longer. It felt like an ending but there was a sliver of hope for a future book down the road.
Recommend to others?: Yes, once you start this series you must read them all.

I would be remiss if I didn’t take just a few minutes to say how much I enjoyed this whole series. The ultimate beach read, for sure, but it goes way beyond that. The wonderful cast of characters is likable and fully developed so that the series really has a dimensional feel. We have watched the characters grow and change and applauded them every step of the way. The location is enchanting for sure, and the storyline is believable if you accept the premise that life can be this wonderful
One of my pet peeves about series is the way each book leaves all kinds of loose ends so that you need to read the next book to know what happens… my idea of a cheap trick. Ms. Miller somehow avoids this by actually finishing each story and leaving you satisfied but happily wanted to read more about Compass Key. And this final book does an excellent job of wrapping it all up and finishing it off. Except…can you imagine living there???
I am so glad I had KU because I cruised through this series in just a few days. I couldn’t stop reading and though I couldn’t afford the resort - this trip was free! Iris is the best and to bring her ‘girls’ together for the future led to a set of great stories. The ending was perfect. Phenomenal Character development and very well written! Definitely recommend. I’m sad that my time on the island has come to an end, but my husband has missed me during the trip :)
This sounds ticky, but the best part of this series was the lack of gf typos. I have a habit of reading a 'heavy' book and then finding a light hearted series next. That keeps reading enjoyable. But, so many series have never had any proofreading, and that is so irritating! I only found two in this series, and that is amazing. The ending is well thought out. Again, a lot of series just quit, as if the author found something better to do. I didn't want this one to end, it was so perfect. Indulge. Its time well spent!
Or should I say romances? A very nice read and a make you feel good book! Many romances take place due to the " magic " of this island. I read the entirety of this series and absolutely loved it! The only qualms I have is that you get so close to these couples and then you don't get to see several of their romances play out. The last book could have been longer and then even room for an entire extra book. Don't leave us in the lurch like this!! Loved the writing!!
Such a wonderful series, The Wedding tells the final chapter of the Compass Key series. Maggie Miller gives hope and inspiration as she weaves a story of finding true love, strong bonds of family and friendship, remarkable women discovering the best versions of themselves across generations and hope that we can all achieve health and happiness with hard work and determination.
I am broken hearted that this wonderful series is finished. I'd hoped it would go on and on. I love reading series and this is the best one ever. The characters have become friends, almost family. Author Miller has the perfect touch bringing each character and each situation to include the reader. Please, please, if you read the Compass Key series be sure to start with Book 1. You will become a part of the story, even dream about it. I wish I could give it more than 5 stars.
This book was so well written you could feel everything that was happening between all of the couples. With all the planning of each wedding plus them solving who was involved in figuring out where Owen had planned their wedding and firing the employee who was involved. Jenny's dad coming to her and Nick's wedding and almost didn't get to walk her down the aisle. But it all turned out good. I look forward to reading Maggie's next book.
I truly loved all of the Compass Key series. It was like Iris and I were friends, and Katie, Grace, Amanda, Olivia and Leigh Ann were my friends, too. The characters were well developed, and the plots were interesting and believable. I will be reading more of Maggie Miller’s books.
This series was a pure delight! I felt a part of the group/family as soon as I began!the author pulls you in and makes you love her characters and their stories! I couldn’t wait for the next book and the next to unfold! So happy for all my friends in the series! I’ll be reading more of Maggie Miller’s books! Thank you for such a fun, sweet series!
Oh my. This was one of the best series I have read this year. I was so happy to binge read this. I couldn't get enough of these characters. I love reading about this five former sorority sisters and their journey in getting a second chance at life. Beautifully written! I look forward into reading more books from Maggie Miller!
I have loved this series from the beginning. Although I feel like there are more stories to be told, this felt like the final book. I will miss hearing about the island, the guests and the whole resort family. Iris, Vera, Eddie, Grant, Olivia, etc. Starting over never sounded so good for all of them. Great series with wonderful storylines.
I enjoyed this series about second chances in life and love. The attention to detail in all of the characters and the locale of the story held my interest throughout the series. The relationships between each of the characters was beautiful. It was truly enjoyable from the first to the last book.
I hated for it to end. This was a fabulous way to end the Compass Key series. I especially appreciated that the storyline wasn’t rushed or ended in two paragraphs on the last page. Yay, Maggie Miller!
These women are luckier than anyone I know, but their adventures are super fun to follow. I have looked forward to reading each book and have never been disappointed!
Enjoyed very much the characters and the setting. Real people with challenges and triumphs. Restores hope and belief in good people finding who and what they're looking for. Like very much Maggie Miller's writing style.
Couldn't stop reading want the next book! MS Miller is a exceptional author.
Exceptional author! Can't wait for the next book 8. I feel as if I know these characters. MS Miller books keep u consumed with lots of stories with all th characters.
Enjoyed the believeable characters and all the challenges they faced. The location was interesting and one you wish existed and one you wish you could afford. But that is what dreams are made of.
Maggie has a way of writing characters with depth. You care about them and want the story to continue. How nice to see 5 women that met in college find love and a new life.
A pleasant, nice and likable series. Everyone was Polite. The stories are easy to read. I recommend the series to just be a part of another world where people are nice, kind, and generous.
Maggie Miller - There are more stories waiting for you in Compass Key. The series has been fun to read. Yes, we can see what MAY happen. Maggie Miller could develop those stories as artfully as she has in the first 7 books.
A great series. Second chances. Romance for the young, the middle age and the older ones. An easy read. A lot of information about the Florida Keyes woven in, along with beautiful descriptions of the beautiful scenery
This series was so good. It has excitement, joy, and love. I would encourage you if you want a good read.... Start the Compass Key series. Not one book disappointment me!!!!!
Finished the 7 books in the series and it was a fun time! The books are short, writing easy to read and the fictional characters become your friend. If you're looking for a chickblit, beachy read, stop now and read Maggie Miller.
