When he’s assigned to protect her, the sparks that fly are both real and deadly.
Hippie at heart, Harper MacBride has been controlled by her powerful parents since her teenage recklessness ruined her life. That’s bad enough. When her father is elected as Australia’s Prime Minister, she’s forced into her parent’s political spotlight and hates her life even more.

Guilt over a disastrous decision Drake St Claire, (Codename: Viper) made in his twenties, had anger fueling his veins when he joined the army. But when that too implodes, his reckless thirst for danger and his unique skills forged his fireman career and his role in the Alpha Tactical Ops team.

Bad-tempered Viper is assigned to protect rebellious Harper, who is a complete pain in his ass, yet damn irresistible. When an explosive attack on the prime minister has them in a deadly race for their lives, they witness something that puts them square in the killers’ crosshairs.

A surly, grumpy former military bomb expert and fire fighter continues to work with his old unit trying to get the truth of what happened on that last devastating tour and what is still happening now. Babysitting the PM’s hippie daughter was not in his plans yet here they are and here they go when someone tries to take out the Prime Minister. Kendall Talbot lays out an exciting action and sexy romance and then puts the pedal to the floor for one exciting ride to the end.

Stealth Mission is technically a standalone in the Alpha Tactical Ops series, but the series arc that lurks mostly in the background and intro to Viper’s background began from book one. I think these are much better enjoyed in order.

After the secret organization did a number on his military unit during their last tour, Viper has been struggling- well the whole unit was until they formed a private organization of their own and started hunting for answers. Their missions for Alpha Tactical Ops have brought them closer, but also into the crosshairs once again. They get some more pieces to the puzzle right before the fat is in the fire once again.
Stealth Mission is mostly about the team taking on political protection work when the security for the new prime minister is incapacitated. There is a bomb threat and Viper is a demolition expert so he gets tagged as suspect number one. The team has to figure out what his going on and get him off the hook.
Drake (call sign Viper) ends up with the PM’s daughter. At first Harper was a naïve encumbrance who seems to be cat’s paw to her mother, but then her past comes out as does more of Drake’s. They are an unlikely pair at first, but then Harper starts to come into her own and they might just survive as they duck, run, and eventually find a way.
Things were not what they seemed and there are some twists as they get answers as to why everything went down the way it did after the danger started around the PM.

I have been waiting for Viper’s story since I noticed him on the team. He’s been morose and grumpy and I got a kick out of him. It got more amusing for me when Harper is introduced and I knew she was his love interest because she’s rather his opposite in so many ways. I wasn’t into her at first, but as she got stronger and opened up about her past just like he did about his, I saw how they could really work out well.

The author does so well balancing all that blazing action that blisters along pace-wise with well-developed characters and a building romance. This pair were attracted, but started out with no intentions of doing anything about it which gave time to tease out the mystery behind the events, getting through stuff and working through their pasts.

Scorpion remains the threat to carry through the series and has grown less opaque as the team puts together clues. Next is our hacker Cobra’s story and I’ll be up for that one. Romance fans who like fast and furious, sexy and smart should pick this series up.

I rec’d an eARC via Booksprout from the author to read in exchange for an honest review.

Stealth Mission is the thrilling fourth book in the Alpha Tactical Ops series, and it’s a must-read!

I thoroughly enjoyed this story, which features complex, war-torn alpha males and strong, sassy women. The plot is fast-paced and action-packed, guaranteed to get your heart racing, with plenty of high-stakes sexual tension.

Vipert is assigned to protect the Prime Minister and his daughter, thinking it will be an easy task. However, chaos ensues when unknown assailants begin causing havoc and taking lives. Trapped in a nightmare with no help in sight, time is running out.

Now, I’m off to dive into the next book!

Stealth Mission, #4 - This series has been a great ride so far. The old story line of Scorpion and the unknown enemies blends well with the new story for Viper and his teammates. Besides a new romance, there are a lot of secrets, surprises and more questions. Well written, well thought out and fun to read, the talented Ms. Talbot gives us another entertaining, action-filled story with her brand of romance. Read the other books in the series sequentially for the best enjoyment. 5*

Alpha Tactical Ops Series:
Escape Mission, #1 - I love anything I've read so far by this talented, wacky author. Wacky as in full of personality, laughter and enjoying life to its fullest. This book, like so many others, is full of excitement, danger, intrigue, good characters and good story lines. There is romance, too. The romantic are always in heat, and I will admit that's a bit distracting in several places in this book. I have a hard time believing a professional soldier, Special Forces Ops to boot, would let T&A interfere with his planning and thoughts when they are about to get involved with some bad business that could get them killed. She is out of her experience field and should only care that part filling out the seat of his jean's is keeping her pants safe. Otherwise, this is an awesome read! Multiple stories all well blended into a hard to put down read. Although flawed, from battles, the crew is a bunch of likeable, realistic folk. The civilians have their baggage, too, but go well with the rest. Not many of the baddies are known but even baddie Marcus is OK. 5*

Hostile Mission, #2 - Begins two months after Escape ends. Told from Levi's point of view, his romance, too. Interesting. Intense. Intriguing. Lots of action and events running through these story lines. An old enemy rears its ugly head while the gang works a job on the South Pole. Some hairy bits that add to making it hard to put this book down. A new love; new jobs; new characters. 5*

Rescue Mission, #3 - More fun, action, excitement and romance are found in this story. It is so hard to put down any book by the talented Ms. Talbot. Yes, the bedroom isn't only open but you, too, in the room, raft, etc. I skip the sex scenes and edit out some of the vulgar language but any book by Ms. Talbot is worth reading. There is plenty of happenings for Ghost and Neon adding to their romantic beginnings. Well blended are the old story lines with the new. While each book is great on its own, there are foundation stories continuing but no cliffhangers! 5*

Once again Kendall Talbot gives us a non-stop, full-on action-packed read with violence, crimes galore and bad guys everywhere.

The first book Escape Mission set up the series whose storyline carries through; the trauma the team previously experienced on their last military assignment was caused by a group called Scorpion and they are determined to hunt them down. They have since discovered the crimes and bad guys they've encountered on their last three missions as private group Alpha Tactical Ops are somehow connected to what happened to them on their last military assignment. While this can be read as a standalone and Viper and Harper's story is contained in Stealth Mission, more clues are thrown up about Scorpion during this latest assignment.

Harper, the current Prime Minister's daughter lives under the thumb of an abusive mother and starts off as pretty naive, needy and unconfident, luckily (for me and her) during her ordeal and through her encounter with Viper, she grows bolder, stronger and more confident as the action unfolds. Viper has a good heart, but won't allow himself to get attached to anyone due to blaming himself for people getting hurt in his past.

When Viper and his team are called on to protect the President, his wife and Harper after their bodyguards become out of action, all hell breaks loose in their small town as the Prime Minister is injured in what seems to be an attack on his life, and violence and danger ensue.

There are plenty of twists, double-crossing, murders, violence, and secrets exposed as Viper and Harper try to stay alive and the team hunt down the people behind the events in this latest disaster they have fallen into.

I enjoyed getting to know Viper better and learning why Harper has allowed her mother to treat her as badly as she has for the past 8 or so years. I liked the way they eventually opened up to each other and gained respect and understanding towards what they'd both been through. The attraction between them was strong from the start, if not unwanted, and neither is inclined to act on it, but as they are thrown together things inevitably change between them.

While more clues are uncovered in their hunt for Scorpion, I can feel their frustration as they don't seem to be getting that much closer to discovering who is behind everything that has been going down and why. I am hanging out for the next book where I'm hoping we get to find out more. I'm also looking forward to Cobra finding his love interest.

I am loving this series, they pack a punch in fast paced danger and suspense, this is book four and we have gotten to know Drake St Claire aka Viper as the grumpy explosives expert, he keeps his past to himself, but when he has to protect the Prime Minister’s daughter Harper MacBride she somehow seems to be able to break down those walls he has built through some pretty heavy danger.

Harper made a big mistake at the age of fifteen, eight years ago and has been paying for it ever since by her very controlling mother, her father is now Prime Minister so life is lived in the spotlight, this her mother thrives on but not Harper, she hates it.

Viper did something when he was in his twenties and this caused a huge problem with his family and he has never forgiven himself, he walked away joined the army and became part a team, did a couple of tours overseas one of which went horribly wrong and they were all discharged, but they are back together with a security company known as Alpha Tactical Ops.

When the team is called in at the last minute to be security for the PM and his family they hop to it but everything is upended when an assignation attempt is made with a bomb and lots of gunfire, but somehow Viper is prime suspect, he whisks Harper away to protect her and the danger just rises as the hours go by and some revelations come out that may lead the Alpha Tactical Ops team to add some more clues to what went wrong in their last mission.

This is a fast paced and awesome book as Viper and Harper journey through some really tough times, as they open up to each other about their pasts and break down walls and give into the sensual pull that ignites between them. I loved getting to know grumpy Viper and his true self and Harper wow she is strong given what she has had to deal with. I loved this one but when is the next book out I can’t for Cobra’s story bring it on. I would highly recommend this one and the series.

My thanks to the author for my digital copy to read and review.

In true Talbot fashion Stealth Mission begins with a terrifying nerve-racking episode. However, that is only the beginning for this Alpha Tactical Ops fourth book as Viper and team have a standard security detail that turns into a life and death situation. Viper is carrying a lot of personal baggage but the woman he is protecting has her own too. All of that is revealed while they are running for their lives.

This book has so many twists and turns it is difficult for these Viper and Harper to know who to trust other than the Alpha Tactical Ops team members. A political force is at work but so is a personal vendetta. It seems as if the enemy has an inside information in the workings of the team. A book to keep you page turning while wanting to duck when the bullets start flying. You feel as if you are right there with them. While the immediate danger is brought to close in this story with Harper and Viper as they find true love there is still an enemy gunning for the team. Can’t wait for the next book in this series.

Some might read Stealth Mission without having read the rest of the series especially since Viper and Harper’s story is fully contained in this book. Yet there are certain elements that are tied to previous story events, so I suggest reading the entire series. While the focus is on the danger, the suspense and the action, be aware it does have some steamy romance scenes too.

An ARC of the book was provided by the publisher/author through BookSprout which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

More than an action-packed thriller – Much more!
Don’t try sipping coffee whilst your eyes are glued to these pages! At the very least, let the breath out that you’ll be holding BEFORE taking the sip, which I hadn’t done - my mistake! This entire heart-pounding, thrill-riding story begins fast and furious with a blazing fire in an old sugar factory. It carries on when tough-nuts grumpy pants Viper from the Tactical Ops team was chosen to be a body guard for the Prime Minister’s high-fashioned daughter. Viper had no idea what he was really in for, in fact the whole Tactical team had no idea when a few of them were hired to replace the PM’s sick body guards to guard the PM, his wife and daughter and his Chief of Staff at a special event. They thought this job would be easy-peasy. It was NOT. I hope all readers have read the previous books in this ‘Mission’ series: 1)Escape, 2) Hostile and 3) Rescue Missions, so you’ll be familiar with the personalities and the capabilities of the special team of people known as ‘Alpha Tactical Ops’ who are hired to risk their lives protecting or saving others. Stealth Mission is mainly about Viper’s particular Mission with the team as his back-up. This story is well-plotted and believable, as is all of this author’s books, and I’m always happily surprised at how different each story is. I’ve read them all and highly recommend every one of them. I’m very grateful to be an ARC reader for Kendall Talbot - to me, an authored book by this lady is assuredly an amazing read! 5+ stars again!

i was given an ARC copy of this book and have chosen to review it as follows

I really think i need to read books 1 and 2 before i read any more in this series even though they can all be read as stand alones, due to the fact that they are based around a mission that went wrong, and i’m unsure if this is mentioned in one of the first 2 books in this series.

In brief the characters are all part of a special operations private team that deal with all manner of situations they are paid for that all used to all belong to the same unit in the army but left when a mission went wrong. Throughout the book weaves you in and out making you think one thing then another with its wonderful suspenseful storyline.

In this particular book it’s Vipers story and back story so we get to see who he is now and what’s made him that way whilst watching him fall in love with Harper the PM’s daughter all while protecting her.

The book refers to the other characters and gives you an idea of who they are and where they fit in all whilst referring back to this one failed mission that seems to be the cause of a lot of what’s going on, i cannot wait to find out what happened on this mission along with getting to know the other characters mentioned and seeing what the outcome is at the end of the whole storyline as the book seems to be its own story woven around a much bigger one

The book was well written and well thought out making sure that if you read it on its own you would soon have an idea of other characters mentioned and there roles.

Need an adrenaline rush? There is no better way to fulfill that need than a Kendall Talbot book. Her latest, Stealth Mission, takes you to Risky Shores, Australia, where the Prime Minister is set to make an appearance with his wife Stella, daughter Harper and his deputy Mason. En route his bodyguards mysteriously fall ill. A tactical force based in Risky Shores takes on their security. The Prime Minister is wounded when there is an explosion and armed men appear. Viper, a member of the tactical team, had been detailed to Harper and they escape. A later news report blames the explosion on Viper and the race is on to find who was responsible for the attack and clear his name.

The books in Talbot’s series have each concentrated on a member of the tactical force. Stealth Mission is Viper’s story. He and Harper are both carrying guilt for past actions that ended in a disaster. Harper is the first person that he has been able to open up to. He is also afraid that her position puts her out of his reach. As Viper and Harper are hunted, he knows that he can depend on the other members of the group for assistance, but Harper is betrayed by people close to her. Talbot’s scenes are tense and have you on the edge o your seat. There are some explicit scenes and swearing. Talbot, however, knows how to grab her readers on the first page and does not let go to the end. I received a free copy of this book from Booksprout for my review.

What started out a with Viper as a firefighter in a Hollywood style warehouse blaze transformed into a firefight with guns when Viper and his security team fight off the attempted assassination of Australia's Prime Minister and his family. All of this is covered by the interfering media who soon throw Viper to the rabid dogs who accuse him of being the force behind the assault on the PM.
I don't know how he does it but Viper keeps going and going like an energizer bunny. He doesn't sleep or eat for days as his all important challenge to keep Harper alive, the daughter of the PM.
Viper's team works diligently to protect him and Harper when they're cut off from the world as they hide from the assassins.
Many people are killed so if that bothers you, be prepared to skip over some sections.
Harper is one tough cookie in spite of her upbringing as a rich kid who has not previously been exposed to roughing it.
This is the fourth book in the series about the security team and having read the books provides background that helps understand the flow of the book.
Sooner or later I expect we will find answers to all our questions about who continues to chase the team to try to annihilate them. Meanwhile, Harper's nasty mom is a great distraction to deter Viper's team from discovering what is motivating the Scorpion Group.

Pulse-pounding roller-coaster ride!

Meet Harper MacBride, daughter of Australia’s Prime Minister. She is trapped in a living nightmare. Her mother is brutally manipulative and controls Harper’s life down to the last detail. This is the price she is paying for having made one foolish mistake as a teenager, her complete loss of autonomy. When she must accompany her parents to the small town of Risky Shores to show support for a local turtle breeding facility, Harper’s life takes a dramatic turn leading to a series of events no one could have foreseen. Fleeing for her life, she relies on the expertise of a virtual stranger, Drake St. Claire (codename: Viper), a member of Alpha Tactical Ops, the Prime Minister’s newly hired security detail. What follows is a pulse-pounding roller-coaster ride of high-octane adventure filled with twists and turns that kept me glued to the pages. If you enjoy intense page-turners filled with interesting characters and sizzling chemistry, look no further – you’ve found your next favorite book.

With each book I read by this talented author, she further cements her place on my must-read list of favorite authors. I love suspenseful books that cause an adrenaline rush as you anticipate what’s going to happen next as you are trying catch your breath with heart pounding glee over what you’ve already read.

Kendal Talbot successfully captures my attention from the first few sentences and she never loses my interest until the final word. The Alpha Tactical Ops series is suspenseful with standalone stories that fit within a series long mystery. Each book focuses on one team member during a harrowing mission or experience as they find their person.

Viper/Drake has a grumpy and growly exterior that hides a sweet and loving heart. He was definitely a surprise after only seeing his gruff and grumpy attitude in the previous books in this series.

Harper McBride is tougher than she thinks, and after dealing with the wickedest witch of a mother she deserves a spectacular happily ever after!

Our hero is not a particularly easy man to get along with. Anger drives his every action, but for all that, he is good at what he does. Which is going to be very important if he and our heroine want to survive his latest assignment.

This is book four of the series, but it is written as a standalone. There are references to characters and events from the past book, but nothing essential to this story.

This is a romantic suspense story with an ex-military hero. The story is well written and easy to read with a fast moving plot that has more than its share of complications for our hero and heroine. The characters are well developed and have a lot of depth to them, including some past traumas that make it rather angsty at times. Fortunately, there is plenty of action to keep things focused and the slow burn chemistry between our characters is fun to watch. Overall, this was a fun and enjoyable story and I can't wait to see the next book in the series.

Highly recommended.

Political princess Harper MacBride is counting down the last 8months of her dad being Austrailia’s PM and living with her mother berating her daily. After that Harper planned to get an apartment, work on her self-esteem and put her accounting degree to work! But the security team is poisoned enroute and Alpha Tactical Ops is called in as a substitute team.

Fireman/Operative Drake ‘Viper’ St. Claire spent the morning fire-fighting, rescuing an injured team member and puppies. Too wired to sleep, he goes to the ATO office and learns he’s on detail, on his bike to escort the PM’s party. Midway through the visit, Drake’s pulled to guard Harper because his look suited her mom better.

Just before introductions are made, Harper leaves the stage and Drake follows, soon after there’s a blast and gunfire. Drake hurries Harper out of the building for safety, Drake hears enough of the shooters conversation to know they’re looking for him, that they’re somehow involved with Scorpio, an organization linked to the team’s dismissal from the Army.

Once again, the men and women of Alpha Tactical Ops are involved in an action packed thriller. This time, the team is tasked to be emergency protection to the Prime Minister, his wife and daughter, Harper. After an explosion, Drake finds himself on the run with Harper and the police are looking at the team as being responsible. While they try to solve the mystery behind the explosion, Drake and Harper are also dealing with old issues from each of their pasts. I loved the fast pace of the story, especially the many twists when clues turn up involving old enemies. The author also did a good job incorporating the individual mistakes that Harper and Drake made and subsequent feelings of guilt. However, unlike the first three books, Drake and Harper came across as younger than the other team members. Their actions were at times juvenile, which threw me off the story. It was just subtle things and didn't ultimately detract from the book.

'Stealth Mission' began with an incredible fire scene which emanated thrills galore. Oh my goodness! From there, the thrills kept coming with evil men who were after Viper, a protagonist and fireman by day and a member of the AlphaTactical Ops team. Eventually, Harper, the other protagonist and the Australian Prime Minister's daughter, had her own problems which involved a family member as well as Viper while dodging helicopters overhead. Thus, their nightmare of running and the twists and turns began. Where's a Harley when Viper needed one? Oh no! Furthermore, the compelling plot was filled with adversity, suspense, tension, action, snippets of levity, and romance. Oh my! With interesting settings: an abandoned sugar factory, a motorcycle club bar, a hobby farm, and a hospital, the thrills kept coming. I thoroughly enjoyed reading the narrative.

What’s not to love about this series? It’s got great and even quirky characters, and each book has an action packed fast paced storyline, with a few twists to keep you reading to the end. Looking forward to more in the series.
Drake St Claire, aka Viper isn’t proud of his past. Working hard, he’s doing the best to rectify and change what he can. Harper MacBride is the Australian President’s daughter. She also has things in her past she’s not proud of. However, being ruled and guilt tripped by her mother she’s just biding her time till she can change things.
Viper and Harper meet when her father visits a turtle farm and the Alpha Tactical Ops team are requested as security. Little knowing that it’s all a craftily staged set up, and they will both will have to work hard to uncover all the villains, if they have any chance of survival.

When Drake aka Viper is assigned to guard Harper before her PM dad gives a speech, he doesn’t expect to be caught up in an ambush and implicated in the assassination attempt on the PM. Running for their lives, the two encounter many obstacles and with the help of his team, they unravel the mystery of who is after them and who is behind the assassination attempt.
From the first page it was action and then more action and it just kept coming, with twists and turns, and surprises. In the middle of all the chaos, there’s self discovery, healing, steam and hope for a better future for both Viper and Harper together. The story flowed beautifully and even though the “main” story involving the team seems to be ongoing, I didn’t feel lost and it looks to be close to be solving the mystery of Scorpion and who is behind trying to get rid of them.

The political life would never be for me for the exact reasons Harper hates it. She lives a stifled life thanks to the pressures her mother puts on for being the Prime Minister’s daughter. Drake, Viper, is an Army veteran working with teammates at Alpha Tactical Ops and a fireman on the side. Over the course of just a couple days Drake is put through hell between the fire at an old factory to guarding the PMs family. There is a common theme throughout the series that someone, or a group, is out to rid the world of the Alpha team. I believe with each story we are getting closer to solving the puzzle. Each book could be read separately, each main character has their own story, however the overlaying plot is connected. The ride is intense, frightening and empowering so hang on. I got to enjoy an early copy and am pleased to leave my voluntary review.

We finally get to know the grumpy Viper and what made him this way along with see him fall for a women no matter how much he tries to distance himself. A last minute job throws the whole ATO team into a situation that has heart stopping moments, disbelief, loss, twists and attraction between Viper and Harper which everyone clearly sees but neither Harper or Viper will admit to. Seeing Harper finally finding her voice as well as being a curvy gal filled me with joy as well as seeing the sweet and vulnerable side to Viper and his menagerie of animals.
There are some fantastic twists and shocks that are slowly revealed not just about the bad guys but also Harper and Vipers pasts which makes this a great pager turner and add in seeing all the others in the team makes it one heck of a great read!.

Poor Harper has been paying for a mistake she made when she was 15 years old. Her mother has her under her total control. Harper is not allowed to make a decision on her own, her mother rules her. We meet Viper who's Drake St. Claire a Tactical Ops Team member and a volunteer firefighter for Risky Shores Fire Dept. He is called in to guard the Prime Ministers daughter Harper. There is plenty of action, suspense, adventure, violence, betrayal, all kinds of twists and turns, danger, romance and finally love. I enjoyed the story so much that I had to finish it in one go. I'll let you find out who is the mastermind behind all the danger to the Alpha Tactical Ops Team. Very fast paced and enjoyable story.

I'm just loving this series. there is an underlying mystery that weaves through these books, and as i get more clues, I look forward to the next novel.
each book took me to different places. Antarctica, an island, a small town, and in this story, the town intertwines with this plot.
I adore kendall Talbot's writing. It's paced and laced with action and suspense. her humour is so Australian as is the dialogue.
The plotline is so clever as it gives me romance, steam, angst, fun times, and belly laughs.
Viper is the grumpy alpha, and i had fun listening as his shell cracked and Harper wriggled in.
Vipers' world is simply wonderful.
You have to want to enjoy Australian dry humour and the Australian accent to take a shine to this series.
Antony is wonderful, and Justine, although not aussie. does a more than decent performance.
I'm just loving this series . thanks kendall

Stealth Mission - a review by Rosemary Kenny.

Book 4 of the great Alpha Tactical Ops series by Kendall Talbot is Stealth Mission.

Along with a dangerous mission, with lots of double-dealing and betrayal for Viper and the other members of Alpha Tactical Ops, on their eponymous Stealth Mission, Kendall Talbot, intersperses a The Bodyguard-like romance between Viper and his female client, (dialled up to 10 on the steamy passion scale) and finishes with more questions than answers, allowing for a potential showdown between the Alphas and their incognito Nemesis in Book 5.
A terrific, all-action thriller and panty-melting, slow burn romance (18+ recommended), that will satisfy on many levels - get it today!

Stealth Mission is the 4th book in the gripping Alpha Tactical Ops series set down under. It's romantic suspense at its finest: Great chemistry between Viper and Harper and a rollercoaster ride of often surprising twists and turns. There's betrayal, danger, friendship, plots within plots and a very satisfying HEA for our couple - but nowhere near the end for the underlying mystery the team is working to solve. A word of warning: Once you start, you won't be able to stop and your pulse rate will spike before the first chapter is done! Like the rest, this book will go on my keeper shelf, to be binge-read again once the series is complete.

This book had so many twists and turns. The Prime Minister's wife was not a nice person. She picked on her daughter relentlessly. When the PM was shot, a bomb exploded and the daughter (Harper) was running for her life nothing made sense. Viper was trying to protect her while trying to figure out what was going on. Who was the target - Viper and his team or the Prime Minister and his family. It was a back and forth mystery that brought out friends to help and them being killed and people who Harper trusted betraying her. I loved the being of the story when Viper saved a dog and her puppies. He was tough and sweet at the same time.

I was excited to finally get to Viper's book. He obviously had a story to tell and I wanted to know all about it. His team is given a new assignment protecting some VIPs and there is definitely something fishy going on. When everything goes to hell in a hand basket, he and his charge, Harper, have to keep their wits about them to stay alive. There are so many levels to this story. Bad men and women seemingly around every corner, making it hard to know who to trust and where is safe. Both Viper and Harper are also trying to keep their hearts safe as they learn about each other and proximity is on their side here.
The book is perfectly paced, which meant that I had a very hard time putting it down. The entire Alpha Tactical Ops series has become one of my favorites.

Action filled:
I have enjoyed this series thus far, especially the intrigue and mystery. That being said, I would have liked more progress with the revelation and investigation surrounding Scorpion which is the overarching threat running through all of the books. It would be preferable to read this as part of the series given this. However the rest of the team didn't feature as heavily as I would have preferred in this book. It was nevertheless nice getting to know Viper and his motives better. Harper was a bit needy but I still liked these two as a couple. There were many levels of threats and plenty of action to keep things flowing.

Wow! This series of books have been amazing. I’ve loved every one! In Stealth Mission it’s time at last to learn grumpy Viper’s back story. The action starts from page one and really is non stop, with the mystery that has bought the Alpha Tactical Ops team together still running through the story, keeping us all guessing. I absolutely loved the story of Viper and Harper. These books are real page turners. There’s a hint of Cobra’s story to come and although I cannot wait to join the team again in their next adventure, I will be sad if Shadow Mission is the last in this fantastic, exciting, well researched series of books.
