***FREE WITH KINDLE UNLIMITED*** Darling House is the stuff of urban legends. As legend has it, Darling House appears only on All Hallows Eve, sometimes it is visible, sometimes not. And sometimes only a dead body remains.
When a group of friends decide the lure of the Darling House is deliciously exciting, with the potential to make them filthy rich by capturing it on film, they agree to lie in wait for the house to appear.
With some Dutch courage under their belts, the group waits, and when Darling House materialises the small group are dumbfounded.
Gathering their wits, they cautiously enter the phantom premises, where they begin to document their activities. When a ghost appears, they are mesmerized, astounded and enthralled by the paranormal activity.
But when the entity reveals itself as malevolent, and the spectre ups the ante, it is clear it seeks to cross them over into the realm of the unknown and the friends panic.
Soon they find themselves in the battle of their lives with the spectre of Darling House.
Can the group of friends find their way out of the paranormal world, or will they join the unwitting souls that have gone before them and succumb to the ghost of Darling House. If you read stories in the occult, occultism, horror, supernatural and paranormal add Cat Knight to your reading list.
I really like this author she has written many books that I've read and enjoyed. This was no different it didn't take very long to read but still has that chill factor it will have you from page one to the last page. Your breath will catch in your throat as you read and you'll bite your nails in anticipation.
Interesting take on a haunted school/library. Loved how it only appears once in a while. Ending was lacking but again for a short story it wasn't too bad.
