This time of the year has always been tough for Tatum. Determined to keep the Christmas spirit alive or find a distraction to get through the holiday, she indulges her roommate’s idea of online dating. Whatever the reason, each date is one flop after the other. That is until she runs into the first bad date that had ended with a drink poured on his lap. Nash Anderson, a.k.a the drool-worthy, arrogant doctor who has her fantasizing about the horizontal mambo day and night.
She’s stunned when he suggests they sleep together, but after one mind-blowing, earth-shattering kiss, they agree to a friends-with-benefits relationship … without the friends part.
Together they create a list of rules dictating a purely physical relationship. It’s only when Tatum’s past catches up with her, and Nash is the only one she wants to turn to, that she starts thinking maybe this Christmas can bring a miracle after all.

The Twelve Swipes of Christmas by Elizabeth Meitzler
This was a delightful holiday romance debut novel! I became immediately invested in Tatum’s online dating trainwrecks because I know the pain of online dating myself. I laughed so many times! On one of her dates, she meets Nash, a hot doctor and the chemistry electric. They have a moment of enemies-to-lovers that turns into a friends-with-benefits romance.
Tatum’s love for Christmas is full of festive holiday clothing, accessories, and traditions. When I saw these Christmas earring at a boutique in New Orleans, I instantly said “Oh Tatum would love these!” My friend didn’t know Tatum was my fictional book friend. I would love to be her friend in real life! Nash was everything and I wish I knew him in real life as well. He’s a genuine person with the biggest heart.
Make sure you add this to the top of your Holiday Reading List because it will give you the best holiday spirit!
Thank you, Elizabeth for sendig me an ARC of your novel.
At first I could not get into this book, I thought it was cheesy and the writing was not brilliant. However, I carried on as I absolutely hate not finishing books. I ended up loving it! I managed to read it within 24hrs and could not put it down. I loved that there was a few different love interests and it was not just centred around one M character and one F character.

Character Spotlight: 🔦 Tatum- That over the top, all-in girl that you either love or hate. I loved her! She made me laugh with her Christmas outfits and sassy comebacks. I also sympathized with her as we learned about her unstable childhood and deceased sister.
Nash- OMG! Hot doctor who has the biggest heart and says and does all the right things. Enough said.

I was so honored to be an ARC reader for this one! 🥰
Tatum is a writer and has a dream of publishing her own book. She loves Christmas and everything to do with it - and she's determined to keep the spirit alive. Her best friend and roommate, Mila, sets her up on dating sites, forcing her to enter the dating scene again. After many failed dates, including one with the super hot doctor, Nash, Tatum is about to give up. But she keeps running into Nash, and after one incredible kiss, they decide to be friends with benefits, but no friends, only the physical part. They create a list of rules, and abide by them, until Tatum begins to realize that Nash is becoming so much more to her.
This book was so. Freaking. Cute. I cannot handle it. Tatum is quirky and I adored her character so much. She is unapologetically herself, and I loved watching her grow throughout the story. 🥰
Nash - excuse me sir. I want to fold you up and put you in my pocket. You sweet, beautiful man. Gimme. Gimme. Gimme!! He was just so wonderful to Tatum, caring, her biggest cheerleader. Everything. 🥺😍
The supporting characters were also so funny and added so much to the story! We all need a friend like Mila!
The spice was immaculate - sweet, gentle, but also hot and steamy. Yeeeess!! "You look so incredibly beautiful when you come." 🥵 I will never recover. Thank you very much for this line. 🙌
This book was everything I could ever ask for in a romcom, especially a Christmas romcom. I was convinced that I needed hot chocolate and to go see Christmas lights when I finished - and I'm the biggest Scrooge there ever was. 😅
Read if you like: ♡Christmas & all that comes with it! ♡Fun, quirky characters ♡Enemies to lovers, friends to lovers trope ♡Spicy scenes ♡Feeling warm and fuzzy inside

So honored to be an ARC reader for this upcoming release! EVERYONE GO ADD THIS TO YOUR CHRISTMAS TBR IMMEDIATELY.
This was my first holiday read for the season and it did NOT disappoint. What a cute, romance story with the elements of the Christmas holiday woven in so well. It gave me Hallmark movie vibes the whole time.
The banter between Tatum and Nash was hilarious. Nash wasn't afraid to call her out (thought he could have been nicer at some points) and she was always pushing his buttons. So many times throughout reading, I was giggling uncontrollably.
I don't like snow or the cold but Elizabeth made me want to go north for the holiday season, snuggle up next to a fire and binge watch Christmas movies.
Only critique I have about the book is I wish we had gotten more dates in the beginning!
So, I think for most people the writing and depth might not be there but this book definitely touched a few things personal to me. I think that made me enjoy it all the more! My husband and I met through online dating, and it has been AMAZING! (Obviously, we are married now) I also totally connect with the main character in her struggle to just jump and go for things even if it means everything will change and using recent stressful things as an excuse to just lie and wait for something to happen rather than just make it happen, even when the opportunity is given. I loved this book and it was really cute in the romance with a bit of spicy! I only did 4 starts because literally a whole paragraph was repeated from one page to the next and other small things that give away the fact that this is the authors first (only) book written so far. But I would still recommend it especially for a holiday read!!!!
A friend of someone I went to high school with wrote this and gave it a glowing review so I figured what the hell. Like all other romcoms, it was predictable and cliche. The overuse of 'sweetheart' bugged me because it always sounds condescending. I really disliked it at the beginning. But the characters grew on me and I became rather invested. It was cute.
Big cheeeeeze yes!!!! This was the cozy christmassy vibes I was looking for and it served.
This book was amazing! I couldn't put it down. It was so well written and the characters were so believable. Tatum was a great character and I loved her determination to keep the Christmas spirit alive, even when it was tough. Nash was amazing too and I loved their chemistry together. The plot was fantastic and I couldn't wait to find out what happened next. This is definitely a book I would recommend to anyone who enjoys romance novels and Christmas. Highly recommend!
The heroine is so so so annoying since page 1. My breaking point came when she literally stopped and left a perfectly nice date with a perfectly nice guy because he doesn't like Christmas, as if the poor guy said he likes to murder puppies in his free time or something.
I was so excited to receive an eARC copy of this book! Thank you so much Elizabeth Meitzler for sending me a copy and for writing this loving story!
Tatum wants to fulfill her friend Mila’s Christmas present by being active on a few dating apps. After a few dates gone bad she ends up running into Nash who she walked out on at dinner on her first date. They did not care much for one another.
The two decide to place some rules and sort of become friends with benefits. As time goes on and the more Tatum and Nash spend time together it makes following the rules a little harder.
This story is so sweet. I enjoyed the characters in the story and loved the way Tatum and Nash’s story grew throughout the story. It was so cool reading a story that incorporated Pittsburgh. I also really enjoyed towards the end of the book where Tatum makes some life realizations about herself and works through it. It was vulnerable and inspiring.
I finished this book in less than 24 hours! I couldn’t put it down! It was like a perfect holiday Hallmark movie but with sex which would honestly make Hallmark movies better. Hallmark…. Make this a movie right meow!
First off, happy Pub Day to this cutie! I love getting to be a part of indie authors putting their works out into the world!
As I start reading more and more holiday themed stories I realize I’ve really been missing out! This is a great, open-door, enemies with benefits to lovers story that you’re sure to swoon over.
Tatum isn’t my favorite FMC (though her craziness over Christmas is fun!), but Nash is such an incredible book boyfriend that it makes up for it. You come to understand a little bit of why Tatum is how she is, but I often found myself thinking she needed to chill the F out.
The blind dates made for great laughs as did many of the interactions between Tatum and Nash. And the steamy bedroom scenes, whew, 🔥🥵🫠 If you’re looking for a spicy Christmas romance, this is the one I recommend (looking at you @dinner.and.a.book you need this one 🤣)
This is @elizabethmeitzlerauthor first published book but you wouldn’t realize it and I’ll definitely be checking out more of her books in the future!
You need to drop everything else you are doing, right now, and go get this book! That's what I did and I have no regrets!
Thank you so much Elizabeth Meitzler for The Twelve Swipes of Christmas - you had me from the first chapter. ❤ This book is full of holiday cheer, funny moments, great chemistry, great friendships and forgiveness, and I flew through the pages - I can't believe this is a debut novel because this book is everything a good Christmas romcom is!
I have to say, I got sucked into this book immediately. Honestly, just the title caught my attention. I love rom coms, like probably read them nearly 80% of the time, but this one… This one was SO good.
The Twelve Swipes of Christmas is obviously a rom com set during Christmas. In addition to being a holiday rom com, there is also a lot of depth, character growth and plot. Elizabeth expertly balances it all to create a feel good rom com that will have your heart feeling as full as the Grinch when his heart grew 3x.
What we loved:
🌟Tatum. Tatum’s personality is so fun! I loved her Christmas cheer and the character growth she has. 🌟The dating app dates were amazing 🌟Nash & Tatum’s not so meet cute/meet cute 🌟Nash! Nash isn’t the normal cinnamon roll, perfect guy. He makes a few mistakes and he 100% owns up to him. I love his personality and his character! 🌟There are some funny moments in this rom com, one in particular that made me laugh out loud. I’ll save it in an effort to make this completely spoiler free, but let me tell you- this one is funny! 🌟The Christmas setting. This one is set right around Christmas and has a ton of Christmas spirit, BUT it’s much more than that. There are some heavy themes, but Elizabeth balances them perfectly.

Thank you so much Elizabeth for the opportunity to read this ARC!
Blurb: Tatum LOVES Christmas! It's hands-down the best time of year! Then, her best friend secretly signs her up for a few dating apps, so Tatum begrudgingly decides to embrace the search. I mean, it would be nice to have someone to do all the fun holiday stuff with (looking at you holiday cocktails, ice skating, massive light shows, walks in the snow, and, of course, viewing all the holiday classics), and if she finds romance along the way that would be the star on top of the Christmas tree. Of course, things never go according to plan, and what follows is chaos, comedy, surprises, heart flutters, spice, and tons of holiday cheer! . This was my first holiday read for 2022 and it was a perfect way to kick off the season! I was fortunate enough to read an ARC but I do hope to add a physical copy to my shelves soon because I can see this being an annual holiday read. When a book hooks you from the very start and makes you laugh out loud on page one, you know you are in for a treat. . You will like this book if: you enjoy enemies-to-lovers, found family, friends with benefits, second chances, a dreamy MMC and all the holiday cheer 🎄 4 ⭐ - Fine holiday fun
Bravo Elizabeth on your delightful debut novel! You definitely put me in the holiday spirit and I look forward to reading whatever you write next!
Overall review of the book/writing: Cozy, cute, spicy holiday read with cheesy hallmark vibes, but sprinkled with a little bit of 50 shades inspiration. I laughed. I cried. It was such a cute read with some deeper emotional aspects. Slow to capture my attention at the beginning, but once I got deeper in, I couldn’t put it down.
Now my review of the story/characters itself: UGH! I wanted so bad for this to not end with they lived happily ever after. Tatum annoyed the mess out of me at the beginning. So steadfast at being an independent woman, that she was easily offended by every guy she met. She was so quick to pick a flaw and turn it into a dealbreaker. I may have reacted the same way, had I been on the other end of her rants. When Tatum and Nash have it out in the street, I was 100% DONE with him and hoped Tatum would be too. I wanted so much for her, and maybe he said a couple things she needed to hear, but it was not his place. I was really hoping, for once, that the story would end with Tatum realizing the error of her ways, making a change and bettering her life without ending up with the man. I think she let him off too easy in the end. But I love that the author included a detailed epilogue that really wraps the story up.

Nash and Tatum have such a complexly, beautiful relationship. As a struggling writer and a mostly successful doctor, we don’t really see the imbalance in life between the two. They equally struggle and equally have insecurities. They feel real, and that’s a true testimony to the quality of writing Elizabeth has.
Mila is a solid best friend and honestly one of the better side characters I’ve read this season. Aside from Mila being supportive and loving toward Tatum, so is Nash. He’s supportive, understanding, and compelling in good ways.
I love reading about online dating — the good, the bad, and the in between. There have many good stories in real life, and it’s nice to see them mimicked in literature as well. Add in deeper layers of loss and grief — I’m in for a well told, complex story.
Spice: 🌶️🌶️ Recommend: Yes! Audience: Holiday romcom lovers. Online dating story lovers. Colors of the wind moment lovers. (IYKYK).
Such a cute and fun holiday read!! This book follows Tatum; recently single and back at the dating scene. And to say the least, these dates do not go well. Like at all. I feel like her experiences with these dates are so accurate to real life. Tatum has a quirky and relatable personality. On her first date from the app, she meets Nash- a hot doctor, and things went great until she decided she couldn’t stand him and his annoying personality. But bad date after bad date, she keeps running into him. Seems like fate right? Except they still don’t like each other so they decide to become friends with benefits, without the “friends part”. But feelings change, people change, and things get complicated. I loved Tate’s character development and how she overcame some challenges. I loved this book. So freaking adorable! And the spiceee!! You wouldn’t expect it from the cover, but boy is it 🥵🔥 5/5 ⭐️ 2/5 🌶

This book was going to get 3 stars-Tatum was childish as hell! who dumps a drink on someone for being a bit of a know-it-all? -but the epilogue was ADORABLE, so I rounded up to 3.5 stars.
*But there is one thing in my romances that I hate! The miscommunication trope, more specifically when someone sees the other MC with someone and they assume the worst and instead of ya know, JUST WALKING UP AND CONFRONTING THAT PERSON/GIVING THE PERSON A CHANCE TO EXPLAIN THEMSELVES they just run away! Friends, that's what happens in this romance. Now I can tolerate this in historical romances-communication/creating a scene was frowned upon back then-but in contemporary romances? I absolutely HATE it. You're telling me Tatum is bold (obnoxious) enough to dump a drink on a man she's just met but she's not bold enough to walk up and confront him when she assumes he's getting back with his ex fiancée?!? The ex he JUST told you that cheated on him with his BEST FRIEND?!? Whew Chile...*
The Twelve Swipes of Christmas was steamier than I expected. YAY. And even with an annoying heroine...I probably would reread again next year lol So there's that.

This book was so sweet! I loved that it took place in Pittsburgh. It was the perfect holiday book. It was super addicting. Be warned, it’s very smutty. Much more so than I initially thought! Some minor complaints were how immature Tatum was at first with her horrible couple of dates. It seemed very unrealistic of how quickly she acted on poor behavior. It was annoying at times. I also wasn’t thrilled with the ending. It seemed thrown together too quickly especially only in the span of 1 year. I also thought Nash’s career really didn’t make sense. I mean who has that much time as a young ER doc? It just didn’t add up that he was conveniently always available. And the name sassy? Cmon. Stupid. Other than those tiny details, I loved this book! I was hooked from the beginning and really got swept up in. If I could give 1/2 stars I would rate this a 3.5.

This book is by an author local to me, and it has me wondering if she self-published like the main character because the format of the entire (kindle version) book was weird. There was a large space in between every paragraph. Some paragraphs were a page long or so, and then the sudden break in text threw me off thinking it was signaling a change, but it never was. Other than that, this book was fine, about what you'd expect from a Christmas romance. Predictable, not terribly deep (one character healed a 10 year rift with her parents steeped in grief and blame based on one revelation from her bff during ONE facetime call), but cute. The roommate relationship was a little weird to me, but I never had a roommate beyond college so maybe it's me. I did like hearing about the local places.
I really wanted to love this one, but unfortunately, I had to call it quits at 14%. Tatum just wasn’t it for me. Her character felt so immature—like, borderline toddler energy at times. Case in point: she gets mad at Nash for asking if she wants to order another drink because she doesn’t like the one she ordered. GIRL. Be serious. Why suffer through something you don’t like when someone is literally trying to help? That moment had me out.
Now, I will say, the opening was promising! The part where Tatum is swiping through profiles and dissecting guys’ bios? Gold. It had so much potential to be fun and relatable, but alas, that vibe didn’t last long enough to keep me hooked.
Sadly, this one just wasn’t for me. But if you can handle some over-the-top antics, maybe give it a shot!
The Twelve Swipes of Christmas by Elizabeth Meitzler was not what I expected, it was even better!! When Tatum’s best friend/roommate sets her up on online dating apps to get her through the holiday season, Tatum experiences one bad date after another! The only real connection she had was the first date, Nash but things went awry anyway until they both come to an agreement. I love the chemistry of the main characters, I love their backstories and their hearts! The storyline is great with some twists and a HEA! I definitely had to grab some tissues a couple of times too, this is one story you don’t want to miss!
What a surprise this turned out to be! I was recommended this book by one of my good friends and was so excited by the premise, which was why I was a bit worries when it slowed down a bit for me but, I kept going and am so delighted I did because the ending had be tearing up! Which, if you know me, is always a good sign! Ha.
Tatum's friend has gifted her a profile on three different dating apps for Christmas in hopes of getting her out of the dating fog her ex put her in! Unfortunately for Tatum, the dates just aren't best! The first is an arrogant doctor named Nash who ends up with a drink in his lap and this is followed by a slew of more terrible dates. But, fate has plans for Tatum because as her dates go from bad to worse, she has one constant that keeps randomly showing up, Nash. Their first tense encounter only grows into hate...or is it like...or is it chemistry...or passion...well, whatever it is, it ends up as "just physical"; until it doesn't, and it leads to more.
Nash, he MADE this book for me! MADE IT! He is some top-tier book boyfriend material! The words that come out of his mouth had be melting! I enjoyed how he chipped away at Tatum's guarded heart, eventually winning her over. And, Tatum's reconciliation of her past had be in tears at the end. I really, truly enjoyed this read! If you are looking for a book that is heavy on the Christmas, this is it! Tatum and Nash LOVE the holidays and each page is filled with Christmas imagery and festive fun!
While this is a cute, Christmasy story, I didn't find many redeeming qualities in the FMC, Tatum. She comes across as very rude right out of the gate. And while some of her dates weren't perfect, it seemed like she almost got off on fighting with every one of them. She doesn't believe she deserves a happy life because her younger sister passed away in an unfortunate accident ten years prior, so she is just miserable towards everyone around her. The writing itself was fine, and the MMC and best friend were the only real decent parts of the book for me.
