Darkness is all I’ve known. She might bring me to the light. Or tumble me into the pit...

He wants to take away our home and destroy our lives. He wants to wreak havoc on the club that is our life’s blood. He wants to take away my sister…

And he’s doing it through Abigail.

I could never forget her mesmerizing eyes. My pleasure. My pain. My addiction.

He sends her. Her, of all people, to bring us down. To tear us apart.

Does she understand what she’s doing to us? Does she feel the energy between us? Will she believe me if I tell her hexes are real?

I must fight her like an enemy. But her magical eyes are stronger than black holes…

What is going on here?

I’m not sure what’s happened with the KL Savage duo, but whoever is in control of the writing now is not the same person who was doing it back in the beginning. There’s no character development, the plot is strange and hurried and overall the writing is just not anything like earlier books. I’ve read every single book but I couldn’t finish this.

OMG I want those hours back!

This is not written by my author. It was painstaking awful. This book was written by a teen or child. First time ever I have skimmed through pages by this author. I hated Abigail. And Pocus and Seer need to join the Rainbow chapter. Talk about woes me. So he got bullied. Thats the big whoop. And how many "Chuckles" can all the men do. And also I was sick of the "I'm going to kill Anderson or I should have killed him". All Pocus did was whine and cry through this whole book. Everytime Pocus was on the phone or in person with Anderson I wanted to throw this book down. What a wuss "this author" made him and Seer look. She ruined this MC chapter for me. I was so looking forward to this Chapter. Not anymore. I am so disappointed and aggregated by whoever wrote this book. Keep on chuckling and drinking hooch.

Disappointed!

I have Ben waiting for Pocus’s story. I have read all the rest and loved each of the Ruthless King series. This seems like there wasn’t a lot of thought out into the story. I wanted so much more!

i am a die hard ruthless fan — it’s what really got me back into the swing of reading. i was so so so so so excited for the NOLA chapter as they’re my favorite outside of the Vegas chapter. to say i was disappointed is an understatement. i really hope seer is better :(

Pocus is the RKMC man I feel a lot about and the story I've been waiting for

When I've read other books in the RKMC series and I read about Pocus, with Seer,I was Sooo intrigued by him. I was wanting to know more and hoping that I'd get to read his story. Now I finally got the chance and I see why he interested me so much. His story touches me and I'm going to be rereading it often. Thank you K.L. Savage. I really love All the Ruthless Kings books I've read and this one is special to me as Pocus Is the one whose story has captivated me the most. Must be something about the New Orleans voodoo and that Cajun magic.

I have been waiting for the NOLA guys! This was a fantastic start to the series. Pocus is so conflicted inside, he needs to be strong for his club but inside he's so torn up with feelings of not being worthy because of the demon he believes he really is. Abby has been under someone else's control her whole life, she has never truly known who she is. When she is just Abby, she is funny and strong and the club accepts her. When Pocus takes her because he is convinced she knows more than what she's saying, she is afraid but also intrigued. Pocus fascinates her and the feeling is mutual. She is not afraid of his internal beast and he trusts that she has been manipulated and is someone he could fall for. With his sister's life on the line, Pocus is not thinking clearly and is constantly one step behind the devil himself. Abby is exactly what Pocus needs, he will gather strength from her and Abby will get to start living her true life. Getting to know these guys better in their own clubhouse has me so excited for the rest of the upcoming series!

Wow what a great read. K. L. Savage is back! Pocus and Abigail sure have a lot of issues/demons to deal with. They completed each other and it was so worth reading how they fell in love. There is a lot going on in the story and it was great reading about the NOLA Ruthless Kings.

*4.5 Stars*

I feel like I need to set the tone for this review. You know those cartoons where the main character is talking a mile a minute with their hands flying around? Yup, that's exactly how I feel about this book. However, I am stuck trying to convey that same emotion into words.

Even though they're one club, each King's Chapter is unique. I know that's such a bland statement, but they really do have their own vibe. Baton Rouge is blue collar. LaGrange is backwoods. NOLA is for the magically gifted. In my heart, I was dying for the NOLA Chapter to make their grand entrance.

Why this is a 4.5 star read:

I want to go back for a minute and talk about Evanesce's novella that came out in July. She's Pocus's little sister and falls in love with a Vegas prospect. In a normal world, this would just be a story that advances the overall timeline. As this was the first story published after a short hiatus by the author, that wasn't the case. In my opinion, it lacked polish. There were quite a few noticeable flaws, and it didn't read as smoothly as some of the last books in the series. I was disappointed in it overall, but I was so excited to reconnect with these characters that I overlooked most of the errors. I breathed a sigh of relief when I realized that Pocus's story doesn't have these issues.

Enter, Pocus, the President. My first impression of the man wasn't as good as I thought it would be. An old family feud is reignited, and at first it all seems a little silly until their lives are turned upside down. No matter how hard Pocus tries to get ahead of it, the chapter is always two steps behind. It made me seriously question his leadership skills and why they picked him as President. This couldn't have been the same man that made earlier appearances. They appeared to be stumbling around lost in the dark.

As each piece in this family feud is revealed, you start to realize that Pocus has never had it easy. He's hardened by life but hasn't completely lost his humanity. It's close but still holding on by a few threads. It's in those moments that you start to realize that this isn't some huge character development. Pocus has always been a good, decent man. He just buried it in order to survive.

I've have read all of the Ruthless Kings MC books and the spin offs. I really enjoy how raw K.L. Savage writes her work. She's very detailed and graphic when it counts. Her characters have gone through some things that a normal human wouldn't be able to make it through. I've been anticipating the NOLA chapter series for awhile now. Ever since Seer was introduced in another book.
The NOLA chapter is different from any of the others because they tie in with voodoo and the paranormal. Most of the members themselves have some type of power or skill. Starting off with Pocus was a good choice. He is the President of the club and a strong man. But even being who he is he can't outrun the past and old rivals that want to take everything from him including his sister. His enemy even uses hexes himself to try and take everything from Pocus.
Pocus finds out about Abigail and starts following her. She has no clue that a hex has been put on her and it's making her do things she never normally would. Pocus stops her from murdering someone, not going to say who and takes her back to the club to interrogate her. That's when they figure out she's been hexed but she doesn't believe them. I mean who would? And now the hex is killing her. Pocus feels a strong connection to Abigail and knows he wants her, if he can save her that is.
Things keep piling up on Pocus's shoulders and it's a lot. His clubhouse is about to be taken, a beautiful hexed assassin is tasked with killing him and one of his members is in jail on trumped up charges. I don't think he can take anything else going wrong when he has enough to fix and a woman to claim. Will he keep his clubhouse and get rid of his rival? Will he get his brother out of jail? More importantly will he save the woman he's fallen for and claim her?
After not releasing anything for a bit K.L. Savage came back with a bang in Pocus. Next up for her is Seer. Considering he's the one with the gift of sight I can only imagine what she's going to go with his story and can't wait to read it.

I was so happy to see that KL Savage was back and I am glad that the NOLA chapter of the Ruthless Kings MC was getting their series. Pocus is the first book in the series and is situated in New Orleans, it is full of magic, hexes, ghosts and premonitions among other things. Pocus is the Prez of the local chapter of the RKMC and is haunted by his past as well as he also is able to sense things, as this is his gift as they call them. Strange things start to happen to his brothers as well as he might lose his club. In walks Abby the woman that is in the middle of all the strange things that have been happening. She works for Anderson Gray who is a businessman that wants revenge on Pocus and anyone he loves. When they figure out that Abby has no memory of what she has been doing at night they seek out the help of a Sharma. Will Abby get the help she needs or will she be pulled back to the life that she was living before? When things start to heat up between Abby and Pocus ad feelings get involved, will Pocus be able to help her and keep her safe? When danger comes knocking on their door, what will they do?

Pocus and Abby had this chemistry right from the start that was so strong but there were so many things that were in their way. I am not a big reader of books that deal with witchery, hexes, spirits and ghost but I thoroughly enjoyed this one.

This book started out a little less volatile than those I’ve recently read so I almost set it aside. (I’m becoming an adrenaline junkie) I’m glad I didn’t as this got a lot more interesting once Abigail enters the picture. Pocus has a lot of secrets so he’s hard to get a handle on. I’d like to find out how he went from being a street urchin to the president of a motorcycle gang/club.* Speaking of motorcycles, he rides a Kawasaki. I miss the old days when all the bikers rode hogs. Of course the character on Sons of Anarchy wearing white tennis shoes also broke me a little. Had to look up Aprilia RSV4. Do outlaw bikers really ride racing bikes? Kids these days; I’m so depressed.

Lots of mention about leather cuts but nothing about a patch.

It seems that most of the characters have some kind of mystical ability. Abigail is having trouble wrapping her head around this.

Loving the ghost Cassandra. Seems like Hex has to dance to her whims.

Pocus has a warm, gooey feeling? Somehow gooey is about the last emotion I’d attribute to a biker dude.

I was expecting the journal to be a counterfeit that Grey left out on purpose to entrap Pocus. How agonizing would it have been to think you had the dirt on the guy only to find out it was all a fake? Why would a criminal mastermind leave evidence lying around? His whole vendetta about something that occurred generations ago seemed pretty weak.

*Mystery solved

I really enjoyed Pocus. It was nice getting back into the worlds that KL Savage creates. This was an intriguing story that was unique and different. I like the paranormal aspect of it and that we still got all the MC club goodness as well. I did think that this was a little 'softer' than past KL Savage books. In the past the characters usually had really tragic back stories and while unsettling, Pocus and Abby's backgrounds were not that bad. I would have categorized the past books as dark but this one not so much. It does have parts that could be triggering so just know that going in. There was plenty of emotional moments and heat between the characters. I really liked the amnesia for Abby and that she had to work through some tough times. She was a strong character and I liked that she remained cheerful throughout her ordeal.
One difference I noticed was Pocus and especially Seer didn't seem as authentically Cajun as then did in previous books. They just didn't give off as strong as a vibe as before. I loved the comradery between all the MC members and the ribbing and jokes they do. It was fun getting to meet new members and get a feel for the New Orleans group. I look forward to reading more from New Orleans Ruthless Kings! I would recommend Pocus to any MC romance lover and definitely if you're a Ruthless Kings fan!

I was so happy to have a new book to read by K. L. Savage, and to have it be the first book in the Ruthless Kings MC NOLA chapter was even better. It was a great start to the NOLA Chapter, and I hope there are more to come soon. I’ve missed these characters.

Pocus is the President of the NOLA Chapter and when the club receives a letter of eviction from their club house, they all go on the defensive and try to find out who is behind it. Pocus has a penchant for the harsher side of intimacy and when he decides to go to the club, he visits on occasion he spots a beautiful woman that holds his interest. Little does he know that she could also be his and his club’s downfall.

Abigail is a woman living a double life, but she has no idea of the other part of her life. When she finds herself in danger, Pocus is there to help her, but can they survive the danger lurking in the shadows waiting to take down the Ruthless Kings MC, NOLA?

I loved this story with the voodoo and paranormal tones. The NOLA Chapter has been showing up in the Ruthless Kings MC books for a while now and we finally get a closer look at these men that live in town that haunts many souls and can turn lives upside down just by magic. I give this book a 5-star review and look forward to more books by K. L. Savage, hopefully in the near future.

I have been looking forward to the New Orleans chapter of the Ruthless Kings since their first appearance in Vegas. I don't feel in my opinion this book did them justice, this is not the bad ass New Orleans chapter we met before. I downloaded Pocus the day it released and stopped after 4 chapters. It took me months to go back to it and make myself finish because I love me some Ruthless Kings!

There's no character development, Pocus is lost in his head and his past most of the book. His big secret the guys can't know is shrugged off when revealed, it's bs, everyone has some form of anger issues. Abigail has no past, and what is her life is barely touched on, a small mention of a sister in a mental hospital thrown in randomly for effect. And her hex just goes away with the downfall of our villain? Why was Evanesce part in helping her passed over so quickly after saying she could die doing it?

Can we please stop saying NOLA! I'm not from New Orleans but I am from south Louisiana, we don't say NOLA. NOLA PD? No, No, No it's New Orleans, it's NOPD. You get arrested, you don't go to detention you go to jail. Small things like that pull me out of the story.

Just my humble option, Thanks

OMG I loved the guys that make up the NOLA Ruthless Kings MC. These are all men that people have shied away from, or outright called them nutso, for having “special gifts” as the people of New Orleans Folklore say. Pocus is the prez of this chapter and he too has a gift. One that had his own family turning on him and basically throwing him away as a young teen. He lives his life in inner turmoil but tries to do right by his sister and his club brothers. But when an evil from the past comes calling and tries to destroy everything he’s worked for, Pocus has to count on the one person who started the ball rolling, Abigail. A woman who he has captured to get answers from but all he gets is more questions and lots of unknown feelings.

I Highly recommend all the Ruthless Savage MC books, including the NOLA chapter and Pocus. As for this reader, she can’t wait to see what the author has in store for Seer and Hex (Both of whom’s books are out now and waiting on me in my ereader)

Pocus is a tortured soul, so much stems from the life he and his sister Evanesce had from early childhood. Their gifts left them misunderstood by those who should have embraced them as children. Only his sister knows of the dark rage that at time overcomes him, he has kept this from his brothers. It is simmering near the surface as an old rival rears its ugly head looking to take away his sister.

This sets him on a collision course with Abigail Miller, who works for the man after his sister, there is something about her. He catches her about to kill someone, he stops her and takes her back to the club to get some answers. When he questions her, she does not remember the things she has done at night, with his gift he knows she is not lying.

There is dark magic at play, someone is trying everything to get his sister, can the club figure out what is going before time runs out?.

This is my own opinion and was not influenced by anyone.

The Ruthless Kings are back and are better than ever. Pocus is the President of the NOLA chapter. We finally get to delve into group that we have known for a while. Pocus gives us new insight to these guys.

The characters are strong, well-defined and written in a way that you can't help but want to know what makes them tick. There is much more to Pocus than we were given throughout the earlier books. NOLA is a contrast to the life in Vegas and it great to see the world of the Kings expanding, rather than having the same personalities in a new locale. This book begins to shown the brothers as a true chapter instead of support for Vegas. The city lends itself to the mystical possibilities.

Pocus certainly took me down the rabbit hole. Abigail was a surprise. Just when I thought I knew where the story was going, a new twist was thrown. I love the story and have high hopes for this chapter.

I loved this book. I'm so glad to finally learn some about the Nola chapter. This book kept me guessing about what was going to happen next. We learn more about Pocus power and how he came to be with the Ruthless Kings and how he became president and how he is hiding his disorder from his men. Pocus first sees Abigail at a sex club then again at his enemy office but she has no memory of seeing him and she has no memory of doing stuff that he's accusing her of doing so she thinks he's lying about everything but when he tries to force the memories on her she starts having a seizure so they take her to mamas and she tells him that a shaman has been in her head and if she doesn't get the antidote then she will die. Come to find out everything Abigail thought she knew about her life was a lie and she didn't think she deserved Pocus after everything that went down. This book has a HEA and I can't wait for more books from the Nola Chapter and I am so glad that KL Savage is back and writing about the Ruthless Kings again.

Pocus #1 11/30/2022

Pocus is the president of the Ruthless King of NOLA but they just got a letter telling them they have to get out of their clubhouse ,and one of their members has been arrested on made up charges. So they have to find who is behind it and why. Abigail has no clue what’s going on she has been hexed and doesn’t know about thing like that her being a assassins, but she the bad guys assistant so Pocus has been following her and he catches her in the act of trying to kill the mayor. But when confronted she just collapses so he takes her back to the clubhouse to interrogate. But that’s when they figure out about the hex. She still doesn’t believe him but now they have more trouble she’s dying. And they still have to stop the bad guy. So enjoy this good story with these people with strange powers!!

Pocus & Abby

He had one important woman in his life. The little sister he has always protected and will continue to do so for the rest of his life. He never thought there'd be another until she entered. Was she responsible for the trouble at the club?

She should have been more careful. A stalker. But what did he want? Why wasn't she more afraid?

The problems were deeply embedded and not easy to find out who was in charge, why she was part of it, and if could they stop it.

A good read with lots of club involvement, meeting getting to know the brothers, deep trouble, magic some dark, steam, secrets, and danger. The kind of story that is hard to figure out and has a satisfying end.

More focuses on the circumstances than them as couple unfortunately :(
I liked them together but i couldn't connect well with them with that little development, and it was indeed a long book too so i can't blame it on being a fast read.
I feel like a lot was missing here..
I don't even know how old are they, is his name real being Pocus ? i find it hard to believe.
Also there is almost nothing on Abby past...i mean, did she have relationship before? there are to many things left out for my liking...
I love like always the biker friendly groups but you can't lose focus on the main couple...
I liked even the ''magic'' in it, it was interesting .
I need Seer's book ASAP.
I hope it will be better.

One intense story with twist and turns of evil everywhere. The Good vs the Evil in this dark world of magic. No one is safe from the evil everyone in the Mc needs to stay focused to survive. Evil has more control over people then anyone is a where of. The mind can be control easily especially when the devil get ahold of them very young in their lives and groomed. Pocus as the president has all the weight and the evil on his shoulders and in his head. He has many family issue's to slove and his own love life to figure out. Read how everything comes together as a whole family to fight for their lives and their love ❤️

Long awaited

K.L. Savage has been away for awhile but came back with a banging book. Pocus will definitely not disappoint. I was wondering when the NOLA chapter would be written. What a great start. Pocus feels like he should never be happy from how he was raised and having no love from anyone but his sister. Abby goes through life believing that magic is all made up. Never realizing that she could be in the midst of it and being controlled by magic. She thinks she has had a good life even though she doesn't quite remember any of it. These two seem like they are definitely not a match.

This is a Dark MC Romantic Suspense, and this is the first book in the Ruthless Kings MC: NOLA series. I decided to pick up this series because while I was the Ruthless Kings MC: Las Vegas series and a lot of the NOLA characters showed up throughout that series. I have to say I really liked getting to know Pocus's character more. I wanted more of the ghosts, but I got spells and weird magic. I just did not find this book believable. Also, there was a lot of political stuff in this book, and I really hate that in a book. So, overall this was just not the best book for me. I will read the second book in this series to see if this series gets better.

No Magic in this Hocus "Pocus"

After reading the venture nd series K.K.Savage wrote prior to the NOLA Ruthless MC, I know of Seer and decided to read on with the newest MC Chapter , NOLA MC and continue on with an enjoyable fantasy world. Yuck. I think either 1. Someone else wrote this boom or, 2. K.L. Savage dialed it in after zero inspiration.
This lacked depth of any single character, Biring cgaracters, no reason to cheer on anyone, choppy story lines, unclear objective , haphazard scene set up, and overall poor story telling. This was a very bad read - do not bother downloading and wasting your time or effort.

A terrific beginning to this new series

I have been waiting for the NOLA chapter of the Ruthless Kings MC, and this certainly didn't disappoint. I loved learning more about the characters, especially after their introductions in the previous stories. This is definitely going to be an interesting and intriguing series, and I can't wait to see where it goes from here. I'm really hoping that there will be many more stories from the other series in the Ruthless Kings World as well.
I would definitely recommend this book, series, and outstanding authors.

Pocus is magic 💕

So happy KL Savage is back! She picked the perfect book to make her comeback...as many fans have been awaiting for the NOLA chapter series. Loved Pocus ( president)..he's a gentleman....heck all the guys from NOLA have great manners and know how to treat to treat woman. I liked that he had a softer side than some of the characters we've seen in the past..vulnerable even. Abigails story broker my heart but she found the family she always wanted with the Ruthless Kings. And what is NOLA without a little magic. Can't wait for more books to come.
