A war for the soul of Boston is in full force as the swarms continue to multiple across the US, their rapid changes unforeseen by even those who created them in Book 4 of No Tomorrow. Tired of the usual post-apocalyptic story? Welcome to your new addiction. The St. Louis World’s Fair becomes ground zero for a devastating illness that spreads like wildfire - and kills without mercy. As the threat grows, more reports come in from across the globe of thousands dying by the moment as society is thrown into chaos. As planes fall from the sky and the city is engulfed in flames, CDC scientist Alex Roman must escape the chaos with his son before it’s too late, all while struggling to understand a terrifying new threat to humanity itself. From the #1 best-selling post-apocalyptic author Mike Kraus, writing with BK Boes, comes a terrifying post-apocalyptic survival thriller tale that won’t let you sleep until you devour every last page. No Tomorrow is a 6-book post-apocalyptic survival thriller series from Muonic Press, which has published hit best-sellers like Epoch’s End, MELT, Fracture, Extinction and more, with Mike Kraus, Justin Bell, Tara Ellis, Kenny Soward and more. With a deep emphasis on characters and real-world science, this post-apoc tale will keep you reading well into the night.
I’m so glad we finally had a resolution to a lot of plots. I still believe we don’t need so many POVs as they all sound too similar to me, but I’ve enjoyed this one much more than the last one.
A few things are a bit too unrealistic to me (you’re telling me a whole gang is made of reeeaaaallyyy good people, who were fine living with rapes and murders before, but now they just want to… I dunno, live in the suburbs or something?), but hey, I’ll take this over the over pessimistic stuff that usually happens in this kind of book.
George is annoying, I’m sorry, I’m too old to see a 13yo as anything other than a kid. And I know brainwashing is terrible, but I want to slap the shit out of Lizzy. She’s always been weak, mentally speaking.
Alex, Lauren, Minnie, Candice, Heather, some of the cops, Zara and Walter are great. Tim also annoys me. Maybe I have an issue with the Peters in general, other than Walter (now) and Heather (who’s never done anything wrong).
Time for the next one! Can’t wait to see what’s gonna happen…
The character evolution is good. The portrayal of the brainwashing process is well done and believable. It’s an interesting and unusual twist in this type of story. I am a little impatient with the oblivious people who don’t realize what’s happened. The Theodore character is just too naive and narcissistic to be quite believable. The betrayal could have happened believably with less of that. Sometimes it’s hard to remember who everyone is and how they got into their situations; more clues when switching scenes would be helpful. It’s hard to identify with and sympathize with any one character. Surviving a plane crash that tears the plane in half while not even belted in is not believable. The medical missteps and ignorance are distracting, especially when injuries and illness are so central to the story. If Lauren finished medical school and started residency, she IS a doctor. The MD or DO degree comes at the end of med school, not residency. She could be licensed in most states. A partial splenectomy with no anesthesia on a squirming patient with no suction is not possible. A total splenectomy would be barely doable by a very experienced skilled surgeon with a really good assistant, and is what should have been done. But no surgeon would knuckle under to threats so easily. Candice would have been shut down immediately. The author does get several medical things right that are often missed in this genre: direct pressure is almost always the best first aid way to stop bleeding. Still, it’s an engaging read and I plan to continue the series.
This was an excellent addition to this good series. There was not only a lot of action with each of the main groups, it looped together in a satisfying way towards the end. The character growth from book 1 to now has been very good, something that is often neglected. Walter Peters has had some phenomenal changes with Zara, Timothy and Alex not far behind. Kai went from a rather cliche "dude" to someone more substantial here. Lizzy and controlling/creepy Azalea were a key part of this story with much more to come. The "Misery" vibe for Walter's part of the story was compelling as was the climatic battle with Russo group. I enjoyed this very much and look forward to Book 5.
First two books were really good but 3 and 4 have gotten sluggish with still 2 more books in the series. Just too much "stuff" Me thinks it would have been much better as a shorter series. The basic story line is good. This book has several errors in it but the biggest faux pas is with Lizzy who in the last page of book 3 is in a "Greeners" camp in the Midwest but in book 4 suddenly without explanation is now in Boston. Again I like the story. It just gets bogged down.
This is the 4th book in the series. I think the books should be read in order to know exactly who is who and what is going on. That being said, I love the story. It’s like when I used to watch soap operas, can’t wait to see what happens next. There are supposedly two more books to go. This series is free on kindle unlimited and I’m assuming and hoping the next two are also. I will need to know who survives and where.
Yes, Kraus and Boes. Really know their stuff. Mobsters and Con, joined together, against the BPD, to take over Boston. Erupting into a war. Unbeknown to the family at the labs they have been infiltrated by the cult. And Walter and Zara finally make it back to Boston.
Still a great series. Lots of action, twists and turns. However, I feel this had a bit too many bad things happen to all the good guys, which tended to bog down the storyline, for myself, anyway. No ones luck could be this bad, even in the end of the world.
Once again a post Apocalyptic story that will capture your imagination. Danger, intrigue with great characters that draw you in. How will anyone survive this disaster. Loved it.
