4.5 stars (rounded up)! This book is very easy to read. The author writes as if she’s talking to a friend, sharing her experience of caring for her mother with Alzheimer’s. It’s engaging, simple, and flows smoothly.
I truly admire the author for taking such good care of her mother. Personally, I’ve gone through having family members fall ill several times, and I know how painful and emotionally draining it can be—it really eats away at your heart.
I want to tell the author that she is incredibly strong. Her storytelling is very touching. If I were in those situations myself, I don’t think I’d be able to regain my strength as quickly as the next day.
Sending encouragement to the author in taking care of her mother. I actually saw the author once in Fukuoka, but I didn’t have the courage to say hello (I thought it was her personal time and thought she wanted to enjoy her trip). Just wanted to send my support :)
