Mashiro is the only one of humankind left and is now expected to produce offspring with her male celestial keepers. Thanks to her human DNA, any children she has with one of her consorts are guaranteed to have extraordinary power that could save their world from the gods of destruction! But with nothing left of the world she remembers, Mashiro battles both desire for familiarity and a desire of another kind.
The evil snake lady (named Eve; this series is not subtle) is simultaneously annoying and the series' saving grace, because without her, there wouldn't be much of a plot.
3 stars. Smut but with back story exposition. A lot of it and a dream flashback sequence that did not touch this unimpressed heart. Pretty meh overall, but also pretty art.
Plot to help jog my memory when/if I read the next volume.
Teenage girl gets hit by a car and transported into the future/combined world with celestial beings. There are four major clans in this story dragon, demon, angel, and beast, and these clans produce powerful offspring if they procreate with humans. However, the humans have gone extinct and the teenage girl essentially was kept in cryotube for thousands of years until politics and war make the clans come together to wake her for her babies that she’ll produce.
The representatives from each clan:
Demon- originally owned her sleeping body as a deity, but sold her for protection for his clan that was being demolished by the bad guys which are called “Gods of Misfortune”. Angel: rapey little virgin that his clan praises, but he is very yandere in his love of the girl Dragon: powerful purebred celestial being that has sex with her first because she made a deal with him by asking him to defeat a up-and-coming bad guy spawn point in exchange for whatever he wanted. Beast: probably the one pulling the strings because he wants to defeat the gods of misfortune to avoid having more bloodshed. He is the one that hired a snake doctor that has been hypnotizing and manipulating the girl to be more accepting of her position as a broodmare.
Oh, most important thing. The girl needs to exchange bodily fluids with male celestial beings otherwise she’ll get celestial poisoning and die before she can make babies. This poisoning and the gods of misfortune are part of the reason that humans went extinct.
Anyway, this volume ends with the name doctor poisoning the demon because he drank tea that was for the girl . This poison makes the two mind meld (somehow) and the girl finds out that the demon sold her to protect his clan (snake doctor wanted to turn the girl against the demon because the demon is suspicious of the snake doctor). Doesn’t work and girl wants to have babies to help the demon protect his clan.

3.5* Having Oma on the cover is kind of misleading since the first 1/3-1/2 is still about Fei Shen's turn with Mashiro. Glad that the smut's consensual now than the noncon-to-extremely dubcon it was in earlier volumes. (I still have to turn off my brain when it comes to her age, and the way she's drawn in a lot of the panels does not help.)
I'm still meh on Dr. Eve. She's so 2-D evil and I don't find her to be an interesting villain. I do love the kids though, Yolda and Hilda, and the aspect of found family they've created with Mashiro.
The latter half of the volume goes deep back into plot mode, which feels really slow and kind of dense after the start. I like that this story wants to have plot along with the smut, but it stuck a lot of plot and feels here that didn't get the space for it to land for me. Also made the Oma/Mashiro relationship feel forced and I didn't get a sense of chemistry between them. There was more between her and Fei Shen, and I'm not a Fei Shen stan.
the smut is getting smuttier but also more tender and sweet...the men are becoming more attached to mashiro, who is also becoming more empathetic to their situations. this volume actually focuses mostly on fei shen, though we get oma's backstory and finally that (evil? can't tell lol) lady's plans come to fruition regarding the poison.
all in all, the series is picking up and I'm enjoying this a bit more now that things are feeling more consensual/focused on mashiro's pleasure.

3.5 ⭐️ it’s been a while since i read the last book in the series so my memory was kinda hazy. i enjoyed this book for the most part and like the characters. the ending was more plot heavy which i think messed with the pacing a bit as it wasn’t spread out and was kinda dumped. i like exploring this world and the character dynamics
Spicy, obviously!!! This volume focused on both Fei Shen and Omi, but we’re also starting to see Mashiro growing and understanding more of herself, even if she doesn’t know she’s being poisoned by that doctor.

Just as good as the other three volumes. I’m so sad the next one doesn’t come out until February I need answers. I swear if Noel turns out to be a traitor or a bad person I’m going to cry. But seriously this is my fav manga at the moment. It’s my guilty pleasure.
Terrible plot execution. Interesting concept but everything is so one dimensional and kinda boring. The four beast dudes each have one main personality trait that trump all else and the main girl is a dumb doormat. Gaslighting and manipulation for babies? 🤮
This one was fairly disappointing, it's very hard to root for the guy who has several wives and kids, like really? At least she isn't in love with him. I'm all caught up with the series and I'm okay with that. This one was just so so.
Sigh, protagonist’s only reason for existing is still as a baby-making factory. She’s worried about children becoming tools—how about herself? People have their own worth, not just their descendants. Who cares about the future when you keep forsaking the present?
This one wasn’t as great as the ones before it, but I’m still into the story. It just felt short and like it didn’t really consist of much. I hope number 5 will be more filling.
I said it once and I'll say it again, I think Oma is too old for her. Also, what is Eve's goal? I feel like she may be the God of Destruction, but I'm probably far off.
Actual 3.5 - I think I had higher hopes for this series. It’s not bad, but it doesn’t seem to be going anywhere… I think I’ll give it another volume or two before I part ways (if it stays stagnant).
