An extremely powerful story narrated in this book, the characters are amazing especially where the bank manager and tellers are confronted by the armed and masked robbers. I find this book more interesting and at one point I thought I was watching a Movie in midst of my reading. I like the creativity and skills used to deliver the message, I am a great fan of Lee.J. Minter and would definitely recommend my fellow readers to read his book, I am looking forward to read your next books in future.
Warm regards

Gifted audio given in exchange for an honest review.
Never cry wolf…. I didn’t know what I was expecting but I did enjoy this book.

Starts off with the bank heist. It follows four groups through different chapters that link together in one way or another.

I did like the one told building aspect of the novel but no one main character stood out for me. I would say this ends in a cliff hanger because nothing is tied up.

No romance, relationship building is also non existent.
I’d say I’d class this as a fantasy thriller?

Narration was fabulous I enjoyed her.

This book contains an exciting combination of danger and fantasy elements sure to attract readers who enjoy all sorts of genres. The author creatively pulls many disparate pieces such as vampires, werewolves, and the dynamics of a group of ruthless criminals determined to get what they want from this world at any cost.

What I really like about this book is how realistic the dialogue is. Perhaps drawing on personal experience, the author holds nothing back when it comes to language. The characters talk as dirty as they fight, so be prepared with a bar of soap to wash out your eyes and ears. If that’s what you like, and no judgement if you do, you are going to really enjoy this book.

I view this book as not only an interesting storyline, but also as a rare catharsis. The boldness of the author in casting such colorful language allows an individual to explore aspects of the human experience often shunted away into darkness or labelled as taboo. For example, there are several scenes of lust and surrender to that lust, as well as actions by the characters that may shock your grandmother. So just be prepared.

I'd say one of the largest draws of this book is the opportunity to explore certain emotions or situations one may never have the chance to in their normal lives. Of course some may not want to... that comes with the territory of taboo subjects after all. That being said, this book has been an adventure.

Never Cry Wolf

If you can’t run with the Big Dogs stay on the porch. Yes, Minter has the “Big Bad Dogs” in this story and they’re of the two legged “Lycan” variety. I found out that he is one of the few horror writers of his genre that has the talent and ability to weave an compelling story that sucks you in and keep you wanting more. I must confess though it was easy for me to get into this story after reading his first book in this series “In Sheep’s Clothing” which was outstanding. I did read other reviews on this book left by others and I do agree there was questionable wording, but personally I have not read a single book yet that did not have any grammatical mistakes inside of them. If you look hard enough trust me you can find them. But I can say those errors was not enough to distract or take me out of the story and does not change my opinion that this was still a great read. If the story is interesting with a good flow “which this was” I try not to nitpick and be petty. I either liked the story or did not like the story. I am simple like that. That’s all I can humbly say.
Moving on I would like to add Ms. Novak has a captivating voice and I thought she did an exceptional job with this fantastic story. That being said, my position is a audio book is only as good as its narrator and vice a versa. This author and narrator collaboration is golden and I look forward to hearing something from the both of them soon. Minter keep up the excellent work. Five Stars *****

I immensely enjoyed this latest action horror thriller by Minter. He has the fantastic ability to weave complex characters together in a story and then turn around and bring them all along for one climatic ride from start to finish. To his credit, “Never Cry Wolf” is a compelling story where he plays hardball, not softball, with his crew of colorful and bold characters, led by ex-special forces soldier turned rogue - Needy Sellers, (Spoiler alert!) Unfortunately for them, Needy Sellers and her crew hit the wrong bank this time, and all manner of chaos ensues that put each one of their lives in grave danger.
I have read many novels in my time and this one as three stories connected to one unfold masterfully but deliver an exhilarating climax that only Minter can construct. If there is any doubt that this author is making his bones in the literary world of Horror and Suspense, look no further than this horror gem right here. “Never Cry Wolf” will take you for one wild ride and won’t let go until you are on the edge of your seat and anticipating what these fantastic characters will do in this suspenseful page-turner. A good and well-written read that I highly recommend

Never Cry Wolf

I enjoyed this audiobook recommended to me by my book club—a fan of all things horror who has read my fair share of werewolves and vampire novels. I was pleasantly surprised to finally find a fantastic listen that deviated from the usual fanfare and cookie-cutter monster plot that most books of this type tend to follow.
I can confidently say instead, Lee Minter has exquisitely put together a well-crafted tale of revenge and redemption in this dark fantasy horror tale about a team of ruthless bank robbers led by their uncompromising and kick-ass leader, Needy Sellers. Without giving the plot away, let’s just say they have way more than the police to worry about when they hit the wrong bank in a town plagued with a dark and sordid history.
I must also commend Minter on his choice of Narrator, Samantha Novak, who does a stellar and superb job in bringing this story to my ears like frosting on a cake. She kept me attentively engaged in this fantastic story from start to finish and anticipating with glee what would happen next. If you’re looking for a delightful read and you like your horror untamed, I highly recommend this book as one to check out and explore.

Bank robbers, werewolves, and vampires… Oh my!

As the narrator, Samantha Novak, craftly tells Lee J. Minter’s supernatural story, I found myself drawn into this mix of spellbinding characters. When five ex-Special Op Forces ban together to join Needy Sellars’ bank robbing crew, I immediately became invested in the story. Come to find out, Sellars is not the ruthless and cold-heated character she puts out to be. Instead, she’s a caring aunt, trying to gather enough cash to pay for her niece’s cancer treatments. But when the story continues to flow, a supernatural, wolfish creature starts to stalk the crew, savagely killing them off, one-by-one.

Then the story moves on to another set of seedy characters, comprised of werewolves and vampires with a love-hate history. And somehow, they all tie together.

Without giving the story away, I will recommend this to all lovers of dark fantasy, action, horror, drama, kick-ass characters, and a bit of romance.

I enjoyed this story immensely about an ex-special forces soldier turned bank robber and her crew that escapes into the woods of Harper Creek while being pursued by the town’s sheriff and his deputies. “Spoiler alert,” Only to run into something in the woods that is deadlier than they could ever have anticipated or imagined. But what makes this book a great read is that it has another storyline in it that is intertwined as it slowly brings back all the great characters from the first book, “In Sheep’s Clothing,” and introduces an array of colorful ones in this edition. This book was well worth my time and money, and I will be reading this author’s future works as a result of enjoying this gem.

One Bad A** Story!

Action! Check. Horror! Check. Suspense! Check. I loved this well written story by Mr. Minter and I thought that Ms. Novak did an outstanding job of bringing this thriller to life. I was totally engrossed in this novel from start to finish. Minter kicks off the story with a team of brazen bank robbers wanted by the FBI that decides to rob a bank in a town that they consider will be an easy cash grab and go. All hell in a hand basket breaks loose when their plans go awry. Kudo’s again to Ms. Novak that superbly brought me into the story and kept me attentively engaged from start to finish. I highly recommend.

Excellent Read

As an avid listener of audio books I have to say this was one of the most entertaining reads that I have listen to a long, long, time. I must warn you though the language is as graphic as the violence and action and may not be suitable for everyone’s taste. Minter wastes no time and get straight to the action a love story this is not although there is a few references to a present and past romance between some of the multitude of characters. He expertly brings different story lines together into one climatic end. Leaving me waiting anxiously for the next book to come out in this series. Loved it!

Never Cry Wolf

Well, there just has to be another sequel to this, so much more to be discovered. I really want more from old man in the woods Joe, who pulled a bit from Predator and covered up in the mud. Now that was scary. Still the need for some editing as the action slips into present tense and past tense frequently and other things that would drive an English teacher nuts. Also, lose the sex, it's not necessary for the plot, or at least just fade to a new scene. This is my second book by Lee J Minter, and I've already bought a third..Fantastic ideas. Someone should definitely take this and write a GOOD screenplay. Can't wait to read some more.

Samantha Novak narration perfect for this amazing book. She captures the characters, the thrills .

This book has it all the right amount of horror and action. Brilliant. I did not expect this . I was pulled in from the first word. Loved the mix of horror , which I did not see coming and the fast paced it went

We have an group of bank robbers , who target a small town bank..... first mistake. The bank and town is plagued with a crazed devil worshipping "serial killer" and a werewolf problem!
Mysterious twists, robbers, vampires, not your normal peaceful town.

I have to say that I enjoyed this book more than I thought I would that had a plot with a good twist to it that involved a group of bank robbers that decide to pull off a job at a small-town bank with deadly consequences. Minter cleverly weaves two other exciting stories into this one, bringing the whole plot to one climatic and fatal end. Again, an excellent read to chill and pass my time with alone.

Crazy Good Story

I was in the mood for a good werewolf story and luck out and came by this audio book and I am happy to say I enjoyed every bit of it. The characters were interesting and realistic. The plot was well put together with several other back stories that ties into the main one. In all honesty I wasn’t that familiar with this author but this story was soo good, I know I will be checking out some his other stuff! I do recommend.

I Luv It!

I had to take a early flight back home to Cali and I decide to pop this one in and listen to it on the way back home. Whoa, this book was a trip. I am sure because of my animated facial expressions, my fellow passengers was probably wondering what the heck is that guy listening to? Lol. If you like ruthless robbers, and werewolves mixed in with vampires, with lots of fun twist and turns, I recommend this read for you.

Bloody Good!

First let me say that I found this sequel to "In Sheep's Clothing" a fantastic and interesting read and I thoroughly enjoyed all the new characters that make their debut in this continuing saga in the fictitious town of Harper Creek, South Dakota. This is just my suggestion regarding this book. If you want a real good grasp on the characters in "Never Cry Wolf" and their origin you may want to read the first novel, "In Sheep's Clothing," by this author to understand each character's background better. However Minter does give brief descriptions of their backgrounds. He does not go into depth which is understandable.

Minter does put a delightful twist on things by adding Needy Sellars, a special forces op, turn bad, and ruthless crew to the mix. If you like Horror and Suspense mixed in with lots of action like I do, this might be the book for you. This one I highly recommend.
