“Because I created you for such a time as this.” The Great Luna’s words ring true for every member of the Romanian pack. Not only the wolves, but for all those who stand in defense of virtue, purity, and righteousness in a world plagued with monsters hell-bent on destroying every good in their path. Time and time again, the Great Luna’s warriors have faced depraved adversaries, and each time they’ve risen to the challenge. With Fane as their leader, and members of every supernatural race willing to follow him, they will once again stand in the gap for those who cannot stand themselves, protecting those who are ignorant of the dangers all around them. The Order of the Burning Claw has been dealt a near-fatal blow. But this has only made them more dangerous, like a cornered wolf, injured and desperate. Alston, the former high fae and leader of the Order, continues to wage war on Fane and his allies. Cain, the vampire king, has other plans, and they no longer include membership in the crumbling faction. He has discovered some powerful new allies, the very humans he once attempted to subjugate. Could they unwittingly be the key that allows him to put finally eliminate all competition for rule of the supernatural races? In the end, one species will reign supreme. One king will stand victorious. The rest will bow…or die.
Hello, Readers. My name is Quinn Loftis and I am lucky enough to call myself a novelist. In 2011, I self-published my first novel, Prince of Wolves with no expectations, other than my friends and family might purchase the book out of pity. Now, several years later, with 30+ novels and counting under my belt, Prince of Wolves had been downloaded over 1 million times. Though I was hesitant at the time to submit my work to the world for their scrutiny, I'm so glad I did. It made my dream of making a living by telling stories a reality.
I'm blessed to share my household my wonderful husband of more than twenty years (who also co-writes with me on occasion), three beautiful sons, a French Bulldog, and an oversized tabby cat. I love hearing from readers, so if you have any questions about the books or my journey, don't hesitate to hit the 'Contact Quinn' in the menu above. Thank you so much for taking a chance on my books.
This review is very disappointing and difficult for me to write. I have always been a HUGE Quinn Loftis fan but the past couple of books have been hard to get through.
Although I know this is a Christian and a very religious author, in the last couple of books it has been shoved so hard and center into the plot that it is very distasteful. I know that christians believe that women are somehow inferior to men or that they have to follow along to whatever they decide since they are the leaders of their family, but I don’t think it is the right message to send to young adults, especially young women who read this. In this day and age women are always being made second and it sucks that this author continues to do this and always has to make it a big deal of them fighting and putting down the females because they “know best.”
The plot has been slowly stalling, reusing the same ideas and inputting characters POV that don’t help the story along or really motivate the reader to get through them. Honestly it would probably be more enjoyable to let the time skip that has been building up to just happen.
I will probably let the next book decide if I continue with the series, and have higher hopes for the next book, for now, two stars are the most I can give and one of them is due to the series as a whole and not this book specifically.
This book is AMAZING very emotionally driven, full of action, love, drama, friendship, relationship struggles and grief and hope. This book is another fantastic addition to the fantastic grey wolves series with the recurring characters of Jacque, Jen, Sally, Fane, Decebel, and costin alongside all their supernatural allies of werewolves, gypsy healers, warlocks, far, elves, Djinn to defeat the order of the burning claw it’s leader Alston and the vampire Cain, but a new species is emerging the hybrids of werewolves and vampires. I loved the introduction of new characters Willis, Alice, Lizzie and Finn, This book is a definite must read it was highly entertaining and enjoyable book to read.
This book picks up after the events of the hunt begins, Kara the kidnapped gypsy healer killed the Elfin King Ludcarab one of the order’s leaders and has happily reunited with her mate after her traumatic ordeal this alongside Peri’s attack on the order has nearly destroyed it but they still have enemies to fight the traitor high fae Alston and the vampire king Cain. Cain receives Ludcarab’s severed hand as a message but he doesn’t care about the crumbling order like Alston does considering he has his own agenda he’s planning to create a new species a hybrid of werewolves and vampires as an army to make vampires the top species. Fane and his allies prepare to go after Alston but the fear of losing their females gets to them after the deaths of Alina and Vasile and their mates and children already been kidnapped by the order they have them stay behind infuriating them, Jen is very emotional and feels hurt by decebel not wanting her by his side in battle. Cain is working with human scientists at a military base that know about the supernatural world to create his hybrids with dormant wolves his vampires have been collecting Willis the genecist wants to become a vampire. Boain and his mate Lorna fighting vampires learning of lots of human disappearances being covered up by the human government, humans are power hungry too, peri rescues them and they capture a vampire Claude. Decebel and Jen make up and she’s going to battle alongside him, but is extremely emotional and doesn’t understand why, Cain recruits rogue werewolf Finn who agrees to give him blood samples after learning humans know about them, Cain plots Alston demise. Jen learns she’s pregnant, Finn meets an unconscious female dormant named Lizzie his mate. The human military in charge of project dormant send in a spy to gather information on Cain the colonel Douglas sends his daughter Alice by threatening to have her funding pulled. Alice learns the truth about the existence of vampires and werewolves. Nisia is trying to get her lost memories if childhood back thanks to peri’s coldfire attack and her encounter with the Drehaim but the djinn won’t give her the information. Fane attacks Alston compound in groups but his gets trapped whilst Jacques attack Alston who kicks Jen in the stomach, Jacque kills Alston for his crimes. Fanes group escapes with some help of the fae stones and they bring down the mountain that was full of vampires killing them. Decebel learns jen has miscarried and grieves and comforts with her alongside their friends. Alice accidentally exposes her blood to the hybrid samples and it’s successful but learns from Cain who bites her that she’s a gypsy healer and claims her as his mate. Finn and Lizzie talk through their mate bonds confirming she’s the friend of Kara’s their conversation is interrupted by Alice entering saying she won’t hurt her.
Don't you dare let the title of this book scare you away. Sure there is a little blood. And sure there are vampires. There is even some heartache. But there is much more of the magnificent Grey Wolves! There is Jacque, Jen and Sally, and you already know if those three are together, Fane, Decebel, and Costin aren't far behind. Once again the exceptionally talented Quinn Loftis takes us to the magical, mystical world of Grey Wolf Shifters, Fae, Djinn, Warlocks, Sprites, and more. We see more of human interaction with the supernatural world and who knows where that will take us?
This Utopia-con Best Author of the Year shows us once again why she is beloved the world over. If you are unfamiliar with the universe of characters created by Quinn, you need to start at the beginning of her Grey Wolves Series (Prince of Wolves) to enter into the QuinnVerse! If you like paranormal romance, you will love this series. I do not recommend that you jump in at Reign of Blood. Too much history to learn. Start at the beginning, there is a whole, global pack waiting for you to join us on FB (Quinn's Pack: The Official Quinn Loftis Closed Reader Group). Make sure you go to the official page.
Back to Reign of Blood...Oh, I LOVED this book. I did not know what to expect, and I was SUPER GLAD to experience some of that old magic that made me fall in love with these characters in the first place. Reign of Blood has Quinn's famous mark. A ton of surprises. Some good. Some absolutely awful. I laughed lots. I cried some. I grabbed whoever or whatever was close to me at different points because I did not know what was coming and that rollercoaster ride had me screaming! Mostly though, Reign of Blood felt like home. With all of the dangerous twists and turns, I kept hearing Vasile's words, "If not us, who? If not now, when?"
Reign of Blood gave me whispers of Alina and Vasile causing me to both smile and sigh. As new threats emerged, I wondered if the pack would break under the strain. As the amazing amigas once again showed their stubborn strength, I wondered if this would be the time that they would go too far. I found myself praying for their safety, and I know it is just a book. My mind was transported thru time and space and responded as if I was with all of the characters taking on the challenges faced by Wadim, Zara, Lily, Gerrick, Bethany, Drake, Adam and the others standing with the Great Luna. I welcomed their sarcastic responses to the stressful situations.
New characters entered the story and old enemies continued to plot seeking more power and control. Evil did not rest. Fortunately, love did not rest either. The strength of the leaders selected by the Great Luna began to show giving meaning to some of the great sacrifices made before. I don't know where Quinn is going to take us, but I am in it for the long haul. The Grey Wolves Series is my escape. These characters have become my intimate friends. The unique world Quinn has designed crosses from the pages in a book to the online community to the amazing in person gatherings we have. Fair warning. If you join us, you are pack. We ride together. So, in the words of Peri, The Great Luna, and Alina, #ForThePack!
I was very fortunate to be chosen as an ARC reader for this book. I have enjoyed all the books in the series' so far, and after seeing the immense improvement in the author's writing style in the last few, I knew I would be hooked....so much so, I received the book at 1am UK time and stayed awake for a few hours that morning to read it from cover to cover.
At times, I felt so angry with the trials the characters had to face, particularly when a shocking event occurred for a original main couple. The brief moment of joy was ripped away so cruelly, and there was no divine intervention for them as there had been for other characters in the other books. This was always a main couple that I found tiresome in excess. I felt nothing but sympathy for their position, and can only hope there is some healing in the next few books for them.
It was nice to catch up with old favourites and to explore the backgrounds of the newer characters. In particular, it felt like Jacque really came into her own at last, although a certain death scene felt far too quick for the magnitude of the crimes committed by that individual. The last few chapters were intense, and promise a rollercoaster of emotions in the next few books. I was completely shocked by the end twist, although I do wonder if there could be some redemption for even the worst characters.
I have to admit that even several books later, I expect two characters to reappear...only to remember that they will not.
I brought this book through Quinn’s website, so I could receive it earlier than if I purchased it through Amazon like I usually would. I really enjoyed this book and thought that it was another good addition to Quinn’s Grey Wolves. Wow, this book was an emotional roller coaster. The pack and their allies stand together to fight one power hungry foe after another. Yes, they get knocked down more than once but they get back up to fight another day. One couple suffered a great loss near the end of the book that I wasn’t expecting. The pack showed them that they’re loved. They held them up and grieved with them. I’m looking forward to seeing how this couple deals with their loss during the next few books. Cain, the Vampire King decides to work on his own plans and is working with the very humans that he wanted to subjugate. I’m glad that Alston got what was coming to him after all the pain and suffering he’s caused in his quest for ultimate power. I enjoyed meeting Lizzy and Finn and can’t wait for the next book after reading the excerpt that was featured at the end of this book. Which I’ve already pre-ordered. I wish I’d waited until it was released until I read this book as now I’ve got to wait until March for my new Grey Wolves hit. I’d definitely recommend this book, series, universe and author to everyone.
Ludcarub, the elfin king is dead, but he still has many followers left to be a danger. Plus, Cain, the vampire leader and the rogue high fae leader Alston aren’t giving up. Cain has a plan and unexpected allies.
And again, during the first third, there’s the inevitable individual couple arguments over whether the females should fight or not. Getting boring. They should know by now. Obviously it’s just a ploy to bring in the sex element which could, and should, be better incorporated at places during the action. Move on to the story. And Jen and the girls are way too bitchy. Enough is enough. They all should be becoming, and acting, more mature. Especially now that there’s children. Jen is definitely not a good role model, especially for her daughter. Cute now, but not later. I was temporarily hopeful for her when had that eye-opening break down over her behavior, but nope. Still maybe….
I was going to give this story 3 stars but it did make me cry at the end so it has 4 stars. If I didn’t have so much time invested into this series I’d be very motivated to stop reading them. But since I skim through a lot of it to get to the meat of the plot it does allow me to read it quickly.
Fave scenes: Chapter 6 chapter heading, Jen’s revelation, just one rock and the arrival of the fae stones.
“Reign Of Blood’” is the seventeenth book in The Grey Wolves series, by Quinn Loftis. Once again Quinn does not disappoint with her extremely unique and imaginative writing skills. Quinn has a way of pulling you into the book as though you are experiencing everything along with the characters. “Reign of Blood,” brings back the quirky trio that have formed this powerful sisterhood and brings into the mix the wonderful brotherhood of the males in this storyline. It brings in possible new allies as well as revealing unexpected new enemies. It will have you thinking very hard about where Quinn will take us with the next book in the series. There is slight progression in the ongoing war when they learn of an even greater evil that is arising. When will the good guys finally get a break? Quinn Loftis is a very talented author that has created this amazing world for us to share. Quinn has created a safe place for her readers to discuss her books, she has done nothing short of a miracle pulling thousands of people together to form a family with her books alone. If the Supernatural genre is for you then pick up one of Quinn’s books and enjoy the Quinnverse we have to come to love.
Starting to think Quinn likes to make us as readers cry, I swear over this series I have cried a river literally. Maybe should start to bottle them 😂. Quinn Loftis just has a way with her writing that pulls strong emotions from us readers which not many authors are capable of and continues to bring us back time and time again trying to prepare ourselves, but not in my case, being able to... I love her books and this one was no different. Get ur tissues at the ready! This book is building up to something we are definitely not ready for.... in the next in the series. Left wanting the next but also feeling abit scared to see what is coming... The pack has been through their battles, loses, wins and triumphs.. But is this book building up to their biggest fight yet!? Will they win and rise or will they fall!? Ahhh... I can't even... 😂 We as readers have lived it with these characters and felt their joy and their sorrow. The future of the pack is undetermined and it's anyones guess how the cards will fall. Anxiously awaiting the next book! 😬 FOR THE PACK 🐺Xoxo
WOW this is a amazing story! One that you will definitely enjoy. There is so much excitement with these awesome characters, they have such great chemistry. It's funny, thrilling and very passionate with parts that will bring tears to your eyes along with their drama element, but there is a lot of laughter and it's one thing I enjoyed the most! What I enjoyed is the time spent with all of the couples their relationships are so beautiful and enjoyable ⭐I am totally devouring this series when I finished reading the last page, I still wanted more! I was so absorbed into how their relationship are developing, it wasn't a rushed tight story line either. The series just flows so smoothly one book into the next book. There are humorous parts in the story and their attraction towards their mates is off-the-charts! Plus this is an all around one of the best story I have read. I am enjoying their journey. I'm so excited for the next book!😍💑💃Overall this is a five star which l greatly enjoyed and again I'm excited about the next story.
I had the amazing opportunity to be an ARC reader for Quinn again for this book and I am worried I can’t do it justice… I loved it. I think this book may be one of my favourites in the series. There are so many unexpected twists and turns in this book that you don’t see coming, it really keeps you on your toes. This book has touched parts of me that I didn’t know a book could - don’t get me wrong I have laughed and cried with the characters before… I have felt all the emotions with them on this crazy ride! But with this book, it took me deeper, there were parts where I fully related and recognised their internal battles as things I thought I was alone in feeling. I realise I’m not alone. This book adds so much more to the series than I ever expected it could and I can’t wait to see where it takes us next. I didn’t want to put this book down and I was sad when I got to “The End”… I really cannot wait for the next book and hope that Quinn doesn’t keep us waiting too long! #ForThePack
Well once again Quinn Loftis you had me wanting to bit my nails .I’m sitting on the edge of my seat .Enjoying all the characters new and old showing there fun personalities shine and how there all connected so much love and joy and pain and sorrow .I was ecstatic for one of my favourite couples and then only to have the devastation happen and in my gut I was angry with them for not making a different decision and play safe I feel for the loss .And realise they all have a roll to play for the great Luna .Relieved when one Villain is slayed for another to be slowly rising up .The human world is finally sticking the heads up and taking a roll so can’t wait for the next book definitely will be an interesting read , I’m sure plenty of twists and turns .Looking forward to more on my favourite family can’t wait as the family is growing bigger as more join the group and add some great personalities
I had the incredible honor of yet again being an ARC for Quinn Loftis. As much as I do not want to say it, Reign of Blood, in my humble opinion is THE BEST BOOK SO FAR!!!!! There were so many plot twists, turns, and holy crap moments. I laughed, I cried and my jaw hit the floor a LOT! I had to keep going back to make sure what I read was really what I read. I really do not know how Quinn does it, coming up with amazing story after amazing story, but I'm glad she does! I do highly recommend that if you want to read this book that you start with Prince of Wolves and read the series in its entirety, don't start with this one. Trust me, you will not regret it! I'm already chomping at the bit for Book 18. As usual, I wish I could give more than 5 stars! This deserves 20 stars!!!!!
Love this book I was able to be an ARC (again so thankful for that!) I love how I can feel like I’m right in there with them! The emotions of each character you can just feel it like you’ve known them your own life. This book came with many twist and turns and moments that make you cry and some that make you so angry you could scream. At the end of the day it is so worth every emotion that’s felt and experienced with them.
Never in my life have I ever been able to keep reading a series as much as I have Quinn’s.
Definitely can’t wait to see where these characters lead and how they grow!!!
Thank you Quinn and Bo for choosing me as an ARC! I can’t tell you how much it means to me to be apart of this pack ❤️ #FORTHEPACK!
I had the honor of being picked as an ARC for this book….
Once upon a time an author named Quinn Loftis wrote a book called The Prince of Wolves… And from then on my life was in shambles… What a roller coaster ride has she put us all on since then. Reign of Blood is just as captivating as all the other books in the series and the spin off. It is so hard to put into words what these books bring out in any and all of us. Quinn always makes you feel like your in the world she has written. The pain they all go through is your pain. The love, heartache, ups, downs, it is all ours. Ever since the very first book. I will ways treasure what Quinn writes and continues to write. I highly suggest you read these books just because they are great.
I really enjoyed Reign of Blood! Like with most of Loftis' books, I felt an array of emotions. I would giggle or smile but then there were also times that I would reflect or feel somber. One of the things I liked most was seeing how the characters are evolving and growing- Jacque, Perry, and Fane in particular. I have to say that I now have a new favorite villain in the Grey Wolves series. If you read Reign of Blood, you will immediately know who it is. I actually found myself rooting for this character in certain regards! I am really looking forward to the next book in this series and I need it sooner than later. There are some possible scenarios swimming around in my head and I must know whether I'll be "right" about certain characters.
This book, like all of Quinn’s writing, is 5 star quality. Reign of Blood continues the story that Quinn pulled us in with Prince of Wolves. It has tears, battles, happiness, the promise of healing and so many plot twists that I did not see coming. I am grateful to have been chosen as an ARC reader for this story, I devoured it in days (sneaking and reading it during work lol). I’m already anxious for the next book and I know it will continue to amaze me. With this story, Quinn has opened us up for more stories, there’s no end in sight and i love that because I want to keep on living with the characters that I have grown to love.
Just when I think we can not get anything new happening Quinn drops a bomb. This book had so many happy tears, giggles and oh crap moments I was immersed in the story. For some very odd reason I found myself LIKING a villain!!! How can this be? I have always wanted the villains quick demise but this time I kind of want a positive outcome. I never expected that. Of course I want the wolves to reign supreme but dang it Quinn...I am not supposed to like the villain. Sorry I am rambling a bit. Please if you have not read this series do yourself a huge favor and grab them ALL! Ready for the next book!
I Love this Series. I know i didn't do 4 stars. This book hooked me up with my Quinn Loftis fix. I have enjoyed growing with the Characters and meeting new ones. The joy and strife of real life situations thrown into the world that Quinn has created always makes her characters real. Wasn't prepared for the f-bombs that are dropped in this book, but it is at appropriate times. Especially with everything this crew has been through and continually battling. I still strongly recommend this book and this series. I am very much looking forward to the next book. Especially with a few suprise twists that have left me hanging. Excited for the next book!
Quinn has once again made me laugh and cry in equal doses in this next installment We join the pack as they continue to fight the Order and a new enemy in the form of Cain the King of the Vampires rises. Quinn always creates such engaging characters (both good and evil) that make you feel every emotion they are going through and whom you feel you really are invested in through every story arc she writes. I have been with the Grey Wolves Pack since book 1 and continue to be amazed at how easy and every book leaves me wanting more from them every time! This one is no exception and I cannot wait to see how the pack recoup and recover and go on to fight again! Thank you Quinn!
Quinn has outdone herself again! This is a rollercoaster ride you just might not see coming, from laughter to loss that will leave you breathless and hopeful. The reality and transparency of these characters is a true talent of Quinn’s writing. As soon as you end this book, you will be hoping for the next to be available sooner than later. Nothing is as it seems and everything is perfectly imperfect. Don’t miss out on this incredible book and life changing series.
I had the honor and privileged to be selected as an ARC reader and I can’t wait to get my hands on the physical paperback!
I took some time to think about what I wanted to say about this book as an ARC reader, but all I could think is WOW!!! This book has everything you could possibly want in a good book. Not only that, our three girls are front and center in this story, and it brings back the same freshness you felt at the beginning of the series. If you haven't read the series, this book will make you want to read the whole thing in one sitting! Quinn has done a wonderful job of keeping this series interesting and full of new storylines with plenty of story left to tell. Read it, you won't be sorry!
This is book 17 in the Grey Wolves Series you should read them in order with the Gypsy Healers series to fully enjoy what’s going on. I love how each book builds more and more on the story and you get to see all the original characters from book 1 as well. The story is full of laughter, drama, and suspense that it keeps your attention and has you flying through the book finishing it faster than you would like. I couldn’t put the book down it drawls you in and takes you on a wild ride as if you were part of the pack. I can’t wait to read more Grey Wolves Series.
Quinn has done it again!!! I’m not sure where she gets all the amazing ideas from but you can always count on her to write better and better each book. I do have to say it took me longer to read this time then the las few book but it was not her doing it was me ( I was sick and work was crazy). Now let’s just say that there are happy tears and some sad tears there’s tears from laughter and there will be tears from anger. This book bring out your crazy psycho self, but that’s OK. Just remember get you Hot Chocolate, Popcorn and cookies ready for all that is in the Quinnverse
This book almost destroyed me in the end with Jen's tears and sorrow. My heart broke for her and Dec. I truly hope they'll be okay. But Jen hadn't lost her playfullness so that's something.
I didn't think it was possible, but I actually admire Kara more than before. Just everything she's been through, and with all that happened with her friend when they were younger. But I really hope Kara and Lizzy will meet, because I have a feeling that Lizzy is that girl she knew back then and thought was dead.
I honestly can't wait to return to this amazing world, with these amazing characters!
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Let me start but confessing a few things, I LOVE this series. I love that Auinn Loftis uses this medium in such positive way. I love how she uses Bible stories and verse in her writing, but she doesn’t PREACH, just enlightens reader to God and Jesus, through her character The Great Luna (reminds me of C.S. Lewis).
Books 1-12(ish) all were 5 stars for me. However, the story now seems to be dragging on and the commentary is becoming kind of predictable. I will continue to read the series for all the reason mentioned in the first paragraph though.
Goodness this was such a different twist on what the gray wolf series is. So much has happened but the war is not over. All I'm going to say is Quinn Loftis made some badass female characters and gave them and us a bit of satisfaction in showing how strong they are. This book is about the love for one another in the pack and if one suffers they all suffer, but they also show and five so much love that it could suffocate a person. This series just keeps getting better and better! I can't wait for the next book in the series
As always Quinn Loftis brings every single emotion to her readers. She quite literally straps us onto a 5 star roller coaster each and every time she writes!!!!
This one really pulled at my heartstrings. If you know, you know what I'm talking about!!!!! With everything that the pack has been going through not only with our favorite group of gals in the Romanian pack, but with Kara as well. I think this book was super well-flushed out.... I just need that next installment as soon as possible pretty please!!!!!!!
For the pack!!!!! Let's go get those stinking blood-suckers!!!!!
Non spoiler review for Reign of Blood by Quinn Loftis Oh my gosh, my heart can’t take it. I can’t remember the last time. I cried this much reading a book. My favorite part is still the strong, female friendships between the three main female characters. Jen continues to slay it with her sassiness and one-liners. Quinn you have done it again. Without giving anything away, the epilogue restored my faith in the power of unconditional love. Both a partner and true friends.
This book, like the rest of the series keeps you on the edge of your seat. The new direction in which Quinn is taking the characters is enthralling and I cannot wait to see what happens next. Do prepare to have your emotions toyed with yet again because yes, Quinn is that author 😀 but that's what keeps me reading. If you haven't started Grey Wolves yet I strongly suggest you do, they will change your life x
