Charm and Dillion’s lack of communication almost drove me up a wall! 10 yrs and they still on this mess lol but I still ate this book up! I’m not going to lie I wanted Bart to suffer a smidge more but I’ll take it! Very sweet close to the Outlaws but it does sound like some other stories may spin from this! Can’t wait to see what’s next!

As fan of the authors work, this Outlaw series has been quite inconsistent. I e enjoyed maybe 2 of the books in the whole series. This one was truly just okay. I was hoping Charm would be sassier since she’s come off that way in other books. Dylan outshine her in this installment.

I’ll still support BJ. Something about her stories are compulsive but I would recommend the Westmoreland or Steele series to start with.

I really enjoyed this! Brenda Jackson knows how to write a love story, but most importantly she knows how to write a parent thats sneaky enough to keep their child apart from the man they love. Charm was a smart lady though. When she knew the deal she acted quickly, even though she and Dylan had horrible communication. It was definitely a tug of war love.

This is the 6th book in the “Westmoreland Legacy The Outlaws Series.” This is Charm and Dylan’s second chance at romance. Charm and Dylan meet ten years ago at a music school in Alaska. Both were young and according to Bart Charm was to young to have a boyfriend. Bart forbid the two from seeing each other. They some how eluded Bart for a short time. Bart did the unthinkable and sent out text message from each of their phones saying that they each called off their affair. Now that Dylan is an award-winning guitar player and singer he is on a much-needed vacation. Charm is attending one of her friends destination wedding when she and Dylan see each other. Charm is upset that Dylan called it off between the two and Dylan is willing to let things go and start over right where they are. Charm’s plans are to seduce Dylan and make him fall in love with her and walk away from him just as he did her. Brenda Jackson has added some mystery and suspense to Charm and Dylan’s second at romance. A disgruntled musician and ex-lover were doing their best to destroy Dylan and his career. Whenever Dylan was seeing other women he always made it known to them that it was just an affair and nothing more. Even though Charm was not around Dylan’s heart always belonged to Charm. As usual Bart is front and center with sabotaging his children’s relationships and he was on the brinks of losing Charm. Charm had her sights on vindication but Dylan was also a victim in their relationship but Dylan didn’t want vindication all he want was Charm. If you’re a fan of Brenda Jackson then you know all of her books end in a happy ending but the couples go thru somethings before they get to their HEA. Not wanting to give to much away from the storyline I recommend that you pick up “Second Time’s The Charm” and find out how Charm and Dylan make their way back to each other and get to their HEA.
Waiting patiently for Nadia and Jaxon’s book.

I received an ARC via NetGalley HARLEQUIN - Romance (U.S. & Canada), Harlequin Desire Romance and I am leaving my review voluntarily.

That Darn Bart!!

Poor Dylan and Charm! They were so in love with each other at an early age. Charm’s dad, Bart Outlaw, sabotaged their relationship by having them believe that Charm didn’t want Dylan, and that Dylan no longer wanted her. It had been ten long years that they were away from each other. After all that time, they ran into each other in Mexico. She flew back to Idaho with him to spend time one his farm that he’d inherited from his grandparents. He thought they were falling in love with each other again, but Charm wanted revenge for what she thought he did to her ten years prior. After she got her so-called revenge, she left the farm in the middle of the night. After Dylan found her and they started talking, that’s when the truth of what really happened came out. Dylan was furious with her. She was furious with her dad! However, after Bart went and apologized to Dylan, he went to Charm and got her back. This was a great read, as I knew it would be! I can’t wait to read Pam’s sisters story!! Thank you Mrs. Jackson!! ❤️🔥

I dug it

Second chance romance is one of my favorite tropes, if not my absolute favorite, and I enjoyed this one. I liked Charm and Dylan together. Usually the miscommunication trope drives me nuts but the misunderstanding between them wasn't drawn out so far that it made my interest wane or became annoying.

I definitely was engrossed and wanted to see how everything would play out, though what kept this from being 5 stars for me was that in many areas the dialogue didn't seem very natural. The main characters said each other's names a lot in conversation, which felt weird. And with such a large family and ongoing series, there are a lot of people mentioned and it can get overwhelming, especially if you're not reading the series in order and can't remember all that.

That didn't stop my enjoyment, though. I'm looking forward to continuing the series.

Yep the Second Time was the charm!

Dylan and Charm fell in love as teens and Bart in his Bart Outlaw fashion interfered causing a ten year rift between the two. The two came together again by chance, learned they still loved each other and despite an attempted criminal action by an angry ex lover and jealousy by another musician that could possibly have derailed Dylan's career, and learning the truth of who orchestrated their being apart Dylan and Charm are now poised to see if the second time really is the charm!!!!! This was a great warm hearted novel fraught with hurt feelings, misunderstandings, law enforcement intervention, much soul searching on both of their parts and some smoking hot lovemaking! I enjoyed Dylan and Charm's story very much.

We close out the Outlaws' story with the long daughter in the family. Although Charm makes multiple appearances in her brothers’ story it was time for her. While enjoying her vacation Charm runs into her college sweetheart Musician Dylan Emanuel. This is where a story begins to pick up. Both Charm and Dylan believe that each other is to blame for their breakup. However, there is more to the story. Throughout the story, the couple has a plan on how they will approach meeting again after over a decade since their breakup. Of course, the pair must also deal with a few unsavory characters. Some of the main things the pair suffered from were trust and miscommunication. It took her a while, but Charm finally realized the error of her ways. On the other hand, Dylan accepted his rekindled feelings for Charm as well. Eventually, our main couple eventually reached their happily ever after. It was also meeting new characters and hearing from Charm’s brothers as well. Overall, I enjoyed this story. I am looking forward to reading Jaxon and Nadia’s story.

Communication, if not repaired, has lasting effects

Child, talk about Rollercoaster. Because what you really wanted was at hello for Charm and Dylan, just to have the conversation. But life teaches us that realism, being most people, are uncomfortable having tough conversations. Especially if they are uncertain of the outcome.

Therefore, go on the journey of Charm and Dylan as they discover what happened in the past, fostered by present-day surprises and vindictive behaviors.

Take the read slow and learn what it means to forgive. have a happily ever after . Bart Outlaw is and was a force.

In my head I imagined Dylan as Lenny Kravitz....lol
What I did not like about the character Charm was the same games see saved Dylan from were the same games she was playing. I expected more maturity from Charm but I had to remember she is the baby and only girl of the Outlaw Siblings, so she is spoiled and has no accountability. I am glad Dylan called her out on her mess, especially 10 years later, NO GROWTH.
Now what romance book wouldn't have a happy ending, but me personally was giving it a side eye due to Charm's behavior.

I have to respect Charm's mother Claudia.....through the years she too a firm stance the Barth until he acknowledged he had to heal.

Charm finally gets her story after all this time! The lone girl of the family! She fell for Dylan when she was young! He fell just as hard. They dated for a while than because of a text he received he and Charm parted!

Move ahead ten years in Cancun when they see each other again. They begin to hang out and have to pretend to be together when Dylan has someone after him!

Charm is luring him in to making him think she wants him and than you g to exact revenge.

Is Charm able to go through with her plan? You will have to read to find out.

Another Brenda Jackson masterpiece

This is a very, very good book. It’s about a second chance at love. Charm and Dylan had met when she was 16 and he was 17, it was love at first sight for both of them. Her father, Bart ordered them to stop seeing each other but they defied him. Bart turned them against each other, 10 years later they meet again, Charm is seeking revenge while Dylan wants another chance. They discover the truth but Dylan also learns of Charm’s plot. They were able to overcome their issues to find their HEA. Great epilogue. I loved this book.

Second Time's The Charm

I loved this story. I was on pins and needles waiting for this story. At the tender age if 16 Bart believed his young daughter did not know her mind or what true love was all about. Fast forward 10 years later Charm meets her first love again.

I elected to read this book while listening to the audible. I also purchased the paper back copy. This story was so well written that it goes to my keeper shelf. This was a well purchased trio of the same story. I promise you won't regret it.

A Charming Love Story

Wow, this story was so sweet and heartfelt. When Dylan and Charm reconnected, it was so natural the way they messed. They had reservations and misunderstandings due to some manipulations from a father who thought he was protecting his daughter. Well they got their HEA, but to see the love a father has for his baby girl was really heartwarming. Congratulations Mrs. Jackson for writing another amazing story. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

I love this story. This was a great way to close out the Outlaw story and end it with Charm getting not only a reunion but a second chance with the man she has never stop loving. As Dylan Emanuel and Charm Outlaw weave their way through misunderstandings they learn some truths and are able to rebuild and find their happily ever after. Wonderful story and beautiful ending! Well done Ms. Jackson you never disappoint!

Awesome book

I understand that Charm was 16 when she met Dylan and they should not have been seeing each other behind her father's back but Bart didn't have to do what he did to break them up all he had to do was just talk to them but them being apart for 10 years helped them to grow up and become their own person

Excellent read

Excellent read, I enjoyed the characters and storyline. Charm and Dylan’s relationship ended due to manipulation. Now ten years later, they reconnected. This is their journey to a second chance at love. It was great catching up with the Outlaws and Westmoreland clan. I look forward to the next book.

Love, Revenge, and Forgiveness.

What a way to create a second chance romance. Both Dylan’s and Chance longing to create a present knowing they both need to clear the past. Forgiveness comes in many different forms and their path to forgiveness is covered with the treachery of ours, their questions, and their own need to make things right

Good storyline

The writing was typical for one of my favorite authors. Almost throughout the story the misconception of the characters because of no communication between them. Finally the truth emerged with everyone accepting their role. As usual the author wrote side stories that were intriguing.

Ms. Jackson did it again!

WOW! Mr Bart Outlaw is a mess! He messed with Charm & Dylan’s future and ensure they hated each other! They deserved theirHappily Ever After since it was so cruelly snatched away from them!
Another good story!

Bart strikes again

I loved everything about this book. Bart Outlaw would have done anything to keep his only daughter from the man she loved. Dylan and Charm were meant to be together. Thus was a good book and a page turning.

Ok but....

The writing is a bit mechanical and obvious. Good development but needs more reasonable discussions. Too many assumptions and not enough dialogue.... Too predictable and poor ending.

Never disappointed by Brenda Jackson!

Charm and Dylan's story was quite interesting! Elise and Chrome added suspense to the love story. Bart Outlaw has always been too much. Love how the story ended. Anxiously waiting for the next Outlaw story!
