West Greene is a romance author that specializes in short, steamy books and erotic shorts.
All your instalove needs can be found in one of her books, whether you're looking for possessive men, men with no morals, spicy FF romance, a boy just needing his Daddy, a twink just needing love, or even the other woman to get her HEA.
West Greene refuses to be stuck in one trope or type of romance. She loves variety, and she's definitely going to share that variety with her readers.
Sometimes you just need to escape into a sweet, heartwarming story and Greene's Apple Pie delivered on all accounts! Apple Pie follows Noah and Lincoln, who have been best friends for ages. Pining after the other, the two of them haven't seen each other in over four years due to Lincoln's military deployment. When the two finally reunite, if only for a few days, they are finally ready to confess their long-buried feelings for each other and go all in on love. Filled with both steam and sweetness, this short story made my evening.
With a charming use of the best-friends-to-lovers trope and an ending that leaves you wanting more, Apple Pie is the short story that's sure to warm your heart this fall!

3 stars (free on Smashwords) Sweet as apple pie best friends to lovers erotica. Military - bartender pairing, size difference, somnophilia. Cute and steamy!
This short novella has the same elements as a couple of the stories I've already read from this author. It follows the same formula. Only this time it didn't work.
I know from experience that a story can have 20 pages and be fantastic, but this one didn't quite make it.
And
"I imagined if I had ovaries, they'd have exploded right then. I knew the endearment baby boy would make me do whatever this man desired."
Lincoln is back after his deployment and the only thing he has on his mind is Noah and making sure he knows exactly how he feels about him.
West Greene kills me with these short stories, because I get so invested in the characters and then the book is over! Noah is a sweetheart and just adorable while Linc is your dominant, take charge type of man. They mesh very well together and their story just warms your heart.
For such a short book, I really liked the writing style and the characters. I'll definitely be reading more by this author in the future. Honestly, I feel like this was even TOO short.
Audio: 4 stars Zachary Zaba does a good job for Noah, but iffy for Linc. Audio can be found on Everand. Book: No rating Since this book is less than 30 pages, and less than 15 minutes for me to listen to haha!
Overall this was a sweet as apple pie romance, between two best friends who decided to become more.
The Slice of Forever series is the PERFECT Thanksgiving treat! These novellas are so cute and spicy! These get ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ from me!
Each of these books is about 30 pages so they’re a fantastic quick read. Even though they’re short, they each convey a sweet love story. They also connect with one another so it’s fun to see previous couples make appearances later on!

I’m wow’d by this short story, and I do mean short at under 30 pages! Despite the length, I was invested in these two by the end (and maybe fanning myself a little too!). It was like a little amuse-bouche of romance.
Noah and Lincoln were explosive together, which shouldn’t be a surprise given they haven’t seen each other in 4 years, and there have been many more years of pinning. Lincoln is only home for a couple of days before being deployed again, but he’s on a mission of his own…to make Noah his.
I’m excited to read the next book in this series of pie-themed short stories.
This book was an erotic short MM story that could have been fleshed out a little bit more.
We start the story where they’ve been in each other’s lives since HS, which means roughly 10 years give or take, but there’s no back story no precursor nothing.
Just “hi honey I’m home! I’ve always loved you let’s bang!”
It was cute for a a short story but there could have been at least a novella out of this story
3/5. Highlights may contain spoilers. Read at your own risk.
Content Warnings for book: N/A
Kink: Somnophilia
This was a cute best friends to lovers read with height difference and lots of sex packed into 29 pages. I thought it was an interesting choice to pace a large time jump in the middle of it, but it didn’t bother me.
However, half of the epilogue is improperly formatted and made it difficult to read. Author, I’d fix it!
Overall if you want a short read with a buff dude and a twink, go for this one!
HERO /HEROINE Noah is considered a twink. At 5’3 and smol, Noah is a bartender trying to save up enough money to move out of the small town he grew up in. Lincoln is a big guy. He is rough and mean, but has a soft spot for his best friend. He's a natural protector.
REPRESENTATION gay best friends
OVERALL THOUGHTS Noah and Lincoln have been best friends since the moment they met in high school. Now, after 4 years separate, Lincoln gets a break to go home to see Noah. Lincoln wants to confess his feelings for Noah, and make him his baby boy
This was so cute and short. Perfect since romance books for me have been sucking me dry lately. So glad I found this author and series.
AGE: They’re both 22
SEXUAL HISTORY: They don’t really say. Other than Noah saying he’s never been fucked my anyone else. But we don’t know about Lincoln.
CONDOMS: Yes, at first. No in the epilogue.
HEAT LEVEL: 3/5 I wanted filthy and this gave me sweet little babies passionate for the first time.
PUSH/PULL: Nope, they’ve both been pining for years. This is their moment and they give in fully.
SEPARATION: Yes, between last chapter and epilogue there is a ninth month separation. Lincoln was on deployment.
This is the first book I have read by this author and it won't be the last. I loved this story. This is a short story that packs quite a punch. This is the story of Noah and Lincoln. Both are best friends since high school. Lincoln escaped their small town by joining the military. Noah stayed and is trying to save money while bartending to eventually leave town as well. The two stay close through video and phone calls while Lincoln is deployed. After his second deployment, Lincoln has a short window before he deploys again. He comes to his hated home town just to see Noah. Lincoln is fed up with being just Noah's friend. He has come home to see if they can be more. This is their story. This is a well written story that is easy to read. I devoured it in one sitting. I really enjoyed this book.

This is book number 1 of the Slice of Forever series and focuses on Lincoln and Noah. They have been best friends and have been in love with each other since they were teenagers but Lincoln’s military obligations have kept them physically apart for 4 years. Lincoln was back in town for a few days before his next deployment and he was determined to claim his baby boy once and for all. I love that they were all in with each other from the get go and didn’t let the distance get in the way of their happiness. This was a perfect introduction to the series! This was my first read by this author but it most definitely will not be my last!

I liked this read. it was cute and sweet and has all the makings of a great book. It was just too short for me. I was expecting so much more and there could’ve been such an amazing love story told but it was cut off before it even had the chance to grow. If you’re looking for a palette cleanser spicy mm read this book is for you. I’m just left so disappointed. The writing, characters and plot ate so good. Wasn’t sure on the branch of military the main character is in, sounds like army with all the deployments. but switching duty stations like that are a little crazy especially if the guys is just enlisted. i really did like the book. just wish there was more of it
The typical MM romance story I have been reading is 350 to over 1,000 pages. At 29 pages, this HEA story is a wonderful change because it is so short. Instead of having issues and resolving them over an entire book, "Apple Pie" has two guys who are ready to commit. They realize it and only have the logistics to work out. I would like the story to include a longer period (e.g. the wedding, honeymoon, and setting up home).
I can't complain about the price (free) for this book, but the other books in the series are $2.99 and at over $.10 a page it is outside the cost range for other MM romance stories.
- an MM novella! Linc is finally confessing his feelings to Noah! friends to lovers, instalove, military/deployment - this is literally 29 pages, so like we shall see.. - okay so he’s been calling Noah babe for like 6 years but Noah didn’t think Linc wanted him romantically - Noah threw himself into Linc’s lap when he saw him like come on😂 - they’re both obsessed with each other - this was acc really sweet!! and had two good sex scenes for 29 pages! - it was all very surface level but still fun! like i don’t have much to say about a 30 page novella😅 - but i loved the epilogue so much! had a bit of smüt and then them planning their future! super cute read :)
Lincoln and Noah are best friends from high school who have loved each other for years, through Lincoln's 4 years of deployment in the military. They each think that the other would never be interested in a relationship. Lincoln comes home before his next deployment, finally ready to tell Noah how he feels. Their story is short but so sweet with a lot of heat. I wished it was longer but I really enjoyed it. This is book 1 in the series but definitely ends in a HEA. Looking forward to Book 2.

This first book of the the Slice of forever short series is as sweet as apple pie!
Two best friends one a bear and the other a twink have always adored each other since school days and now after four long years of Skyping, texting and face timing Linc is on deployment leave with one goal in mind- he wants to claim his baby boy- Noah!
West Greene knows how to entice her readers with steamy short stories that leaves you wanting more!

I loved this book. Such a sweet, quick read. Great world building and wonderful characters. Friends Noah and Lincoln have been [secretly] in love with each other for a while, but with Lincoln being away in the army, they could only communicate on the phone. When Linc was able to go home for a few days before his deployment, he went straight to see Noah- and hopefully make him his. Such a sweet steamy read! It was short, but I felt like I got such a good insight into these two men. I'd love to read more of them in a future book! 5 stars.
