When Troy White proved his remarkable "football genius" to the Atlanta Falcons, they brought him on board as a team consultant. Now, thanks to Troy's ability to predict winning plays, the Falcons are pulling in victories. Troy loves his starring role behind the scenes and the thrill of having NFL star linebacker Seth Halloway (who's dating Troy's mom) to coach his own Duluth Tigers team on their way to a state championship.

Then Troy's perfect world comes crashing down. Reporter Brent Peele is out to smear as much mud on the Falcons as he can, and that means going after Troy. The vicious media storm that descends on the football genius threatens not only his job with the Falcons and the Tigers' run at a championship but his mother's career—and Seth's—as well.

Together with his best friends, loyal Nathan and feisty Tate, Troy sets out to unmask the dishonest Peele—and save Seth's reputation—no matter what the risk.

With his signature blend of thrilling action and insider knowledge, Tim Green shows Troy, hero of the New York Times bestselling Football Genius, in a new and riveting adventure.

Troy is a true football champ. Troy works with the Atlanta Falcons and also plays for his high school football team. He is a consultant for the Atlanta Falcons. The reason he got in with the Atlanta Falcons is because his mom works for them and is also dating one of the football players. He can predict the plays of the other teams before they even get on the field. The team doesn't know that yet, but when they find out, he helps lead them to victories week after week. Troy is also having an amazing season on his high school football team the Duluth Tigers. They are undefeated and are on their way to play in the championship game to win the state title.. Then one day everything started going wrong for Troy. A reported by the name of Brent Peele is not a big fan of the falcons and now that they are winning he is going after Troy, because he knows that troy is behind the scenes of all this. Brent is doing everything in his power to talk down Troy and even try to get him hurt. With Peele doing this, it could affect his job with the Falcons and the chance of him playing in the state championship game. Troy steps up to the plate though and stands up for him and Seth. Troy is now going to play in the state championship game. Not only did he play in it but he lead The Duluth Tigers to a victory and the right to call them state champions.

Troy was the best player on his football team. When things started to go bad, he let everything get to him and really wasn't as focused. He decided to step up and stand up for him, his team, Seth, and the Atlanta Falcons. His character really showed when he proved to everyone that he was a leader and take on any challenge that came his way.

This book is a great book for Athletes to read especially football players. I think this can show how times can be tough and how a team can come together and work through things. I would recommend this for the ages of 12-18. I feel if you read between these ages you will truly get the lesson out of this book.

In this book, Troy White and Seth Holloway are on a mission to get the Falcons to the playoffs. Seth is an NFL player on his last legs but is brought back to his former self by Troy White. Troy has the special ability to predict plays and is very good at it. This however is viewed as cheating, and lowlife reporters seek the chance to blow it up into a big story.

For Troy, football is his entire life. Having the ability to predict plays puts him in a league of his own. At his age, it gives him a keen advantage when playing football. Troy's team is less skilled than most, but with his advantage, they are able to make the state championship. Along with his stardom in youth football comes the burden of having to carry the weight of the team on his back. He knows that he must play a nearly perfect game for his team to win. Luckily he is able to do so and wins the state title. Between playing quarterback for his youth team and being employed by the Falcons, Troy's life revolves around football.

Seth Holloway used to be a dominant force on the football field, but age is overshadowing his talent. For Seth, Troy is exactly what he needed to have one last good season. If Seth can have a few tenths of a second on the competition he is able to play at a high level. Troy allows him to be great once again. As long as his knees can hold up, Seth and the Falcons will be on their way to a Super Bowl.

Once Troy's powers are put into the media by Brent Peele, the whole world takes notice. Commissioner Goddell has a meeting with him and sees that what Troy can do is genuine. Once all the media blowup is solved, Troy has to worry about winning the state championship. Troy is able to settle his nerves, call out what plays will be run, and leads his team to the state title. The book ends before the Falcons go to the Super Bowl, but one likes to imagine they would win.

The book “ Football Champ” by Tim Green is about a boy named Troy White works for the NFL Atlanta Falcons as a ball boy; what the team did not know was that Troy was a football genius, he had a special ability to predict the other team's plays he would call the game winning plays the Falcons are on their way to the playoffs. And thanks to Seth coaching the team, the Falcon's star linebacker, and the talent of best friends Nathan and Tate, troys own team is on the way to the junior league football state championship. I think this book is really good exciting and I really recommend this to people who love football and to ages 11-14.

I liked this book a lot. It was very interesting to me because I love sports and mainly football. I found it very fun to read and a lot of good things came out of this book. It will always keep you turning pages. This book also teaches me some life lessons to keep going and even when times get tough they will get better. I would recommend this book to all people that love sports and know football. I would recommend this book to my brother because it is a pretty easy read and you can comprehend it very well.

One of the things I did not like as much as I wish the author put more games in the book. I really like action and when it talks about the game and the main events in the book, it is the best. One thing I found challenging about this book was the begging when there was not much action. Also when Troy goes to his friend's house and they are just talking it was tough to pay attention during that scene and I didn't start my book very early so I had to rush through it. One thing that was not difficult at all was when the book was leading up to the game and Troy was going through his pregame stuff. It was very entertaining and made it easy to follow along and keep reading

The theme of Football Champ is to learn from your mistakes and keep going when things get Hard. This book teaches a lot of good lessons for young and old audiences. Life can be very hard at points and for Troy, it gets hard through his coaching and playing. It also tells you to play through adversity. I think adversity is an underused word and in life, a lot of adversity comes up, and overcoming them is very hard and challenging. Another important lesson the book teaches you is leadership. Leadership is an important thing and I think that is something I am good at and will keep needing to do.

Troy White has an amazing talent to be able to predict the winning play, so the Atlanta Falcons can add up more victories. He is one of those kids that everyone loves and wants to be around. He always has a smile on his face and is very enthusiastic. Troy feels special to be able to travel with the rest of the team. He also loves being on the sidelines with them during real NFL games. An NFL linebacker, Seth Halloway, is dating Troy's mom and is also coaching Troy's team to a big state championship. Life is going great for everyone in the moment. About halfway through the NFL season a news reporter Brent Peele is starting to pick up on things. He is suspicious that the Atlanta Falcons might be "cheating." Brent wants to bring Troy down and ruin his job. That would also ruin Seth's and his mother's job. The media isn't helping keep this a secret either. Troy is constantly being bombarded with news anchors asking him questions about the Falcons winning games. Troy has two best friends. Their names are Loyal Nathan and Feisty Tate. All three are set out to bring down Brent Peele and save Seth Halloway's reputation. Peele isn't going to give up easy, so he gets Gumble, the team doctor, to get him to lie on national television. He said Seth took steroids even though he never did. Gumble and Peele both lose their jobs, and they are prosecuted. Seth ends up being able to play and coach the Tigers to a State Championship.

In "Football Champ", Troy White is a kid that calls the winning plays for the Atlanta Falcons. Troy is a very lovable kid. Everyone on the team likes him. He is pretty much everyone's little sidekick. Troy is also a very intelligent boy. He can pick up on things very fast. For example, he can watch film from other NFL teams and know exactly what play to call, so that his team can win. The head coach asks Troy to call the winning play. He knows that Troy will pick the right one. Troy wants to be a football coach one day because he thinks that he will be very good at it. Troy is very athletic himself. He plays on his high school football team and is on his way to a state championship.

I rate this book 4 out of 5 stars. It is an action packed novel that keeps you hooked and wanting to know what comes next. It makes you grow close to Troy and want to be his friend too. It was easy for me to read and understand.

I would recommend this book to any present or past football player. I would also recommend this book to anyone who likes action packed sports books. Guys would like this book more because its about football. The reading level is great for anyone in high school and up. It is a fast paced book that will have you interested until the end.

Troy’s running away as fast as he can, and is sure he lost Peele. Troy tells him mom everything that happened, before they board their flight. Seth tells Troy that Peele wants to ruin Seths career, because in college, Peele tried out for the team, and during one of their practices, Seth hit him so hard it ended his career. Peele has hated him ever since.

During one of Seth’s games, Peele pretended to be a waiter, and got up the the sweets, and Troy agreed to let Peele give him an interview. Troy told him everything, and everything he told him was the truth. The next day right on the front page, “DIRTY BIRDS”, it was about Seth and Troy, and it bashed both of them. Seth’s doctor Gumble, got paid by Peele to lie on national TV, and tell the world Seth did steroid’s and he didn’t. The only way Seth can coach the Troy in the Championship game is if they get Gumble to say he lied. They got Gumble to say it, and Peele got fired and so did Gumble. And Seth got to play and coach.

For me the writing was effective. It was effective because it provided lots of detail for a lot of characters. When they are describing a new character the author wrote so much detail that you can picture the character in their head. The strengths of this book are the character details and liked the story too. I was not so happy about the weaknesses. The weaknesses were how in the book it skipped some parts of the story which left you wondering how any situation happened. I would continue reading if there is a series. I thought that the book Unstoppable was better because it was longer and i really liked the story. I would recommend reading Tim Green books if you like sports because they are really interesting and in this book it leaves you hanging when Troys dad that abandoned him came at the door step.

But really he is a ball-boy that steals the others teams plays. He plays football too and his team is in the state championship. This book was awesome and well written (like every Tim Green book). It shows the dramatic match action and the magic of knowing what play the other team is going to run. It also is about reporters writing random stuff to be famous and people willing to lie to get rich. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes a good book.

Football Champs
By:Tim Green

Tim Green always does an amazing job writing his books. He always keeps the reader thinking. When you read it seems like you never want to put his book down because they are so good and creative. During this book it shows that if you work hard your goals and dreams can come true. Tim Green books are fictional but they actually seem like that have happened or is happening right at that very moment. This book shows that even if you aren't the best at the time if you keep practicing and believing you can become the best.

I just recently started to read Tim Green books and ever since I have picked one up it is very hard for me to put them down and read books from a different author. All of his books are sports related and most of his stories have different sports but some of his have the same sports in them just very different problems that the characters have to face throughout the story. While you read his books it feels like you are being a part of it or that you can feel the feelings that some of the characters are feeling. As you get further and further into his book the suspense starts to build up and you start trying to guess what is going to happen next. The way he explains the characters, nature, and the littlest details in the story is the best because you can actually see images in your mind of what you are reading at that very moment. After you finish one of his books you can’t wait until you start to read a different one.

I strongly recommend any of Tim Green books to everybody. Even if you like mysteries or other genre’s it’s always good to try a different type of book. Even if you aren't a huge fan in sports these books would still be good for you because they are so interesting. His books can teach good life skills like never giving up when life gets tough or to try to pursue your dream even if it takes a lot of hard work and dedication. If you aren't a big fan of reading these books could change your whole perspective about reading. If you ever have the time and you have nothing to do just pick up one of his books and start reading it because you never know if you will like it or not.

This is the third book in the Football Genius series, where Troy White is a football savant. All he has to do is watch a football team in action for a few series and he is capable of predicting what play they will run next. It took some time, but once he convinced Atlanta Falcons linebacker Seth Halloway and the Falcons coaching staff of his ability, they were sold. Troy now stands on the sidelines next to the defensive coordinator and when he sees the personnel and the formation, he tells the coach what the play will be. The coordinator then sends in the signal to Seth who informs his teammates regarding what defense to play.
Troy’s mother now works in the PR department for the Falcons and she is involved with Seth. Troy’s two best friends Nathan and Tate(female) are his schoolmates and football teammates. Nathan is a lineman and Tate is their placekicker. Seth is now the coach of Troy’s football team and they are poised to make a run for the state championship.
Things start to unravel when a nasty reporter named Peele spots Troy on the sidelines and starts digging into his role. The public explanation is that Troy is a ball boy, but he never leaves the coaches side. Peele has a deep grudge against Seth, for it was a hit by Seth that injured Peele and effectively ended his football career.
There are two main tracks to this story, Troy’s role with the Falcons and his place on his youth football team. There are complications regarding how Troy’s mother got her job with the Falcons, accusations of steroid use by Seth and a nasty man and his equally nasty son, where the father used to coach Troy’s team. Troy gets a quick education on the dark facts of life regarding fame and where it puts you in the public eye.
This is a great story, made even better because Tate is depicted as an equal to Nathan and Troy. She is decisive and when a powerful running back is about to return a kick for a touchdown and decides to just run her over, she knocks him on his A. When difficult things need to be done, Tate never takes a pass. The story also ends with a cliffhanger regarding Troy’s absent father that is a tickler, making you want to read books four and five.

The book Football Champs was amazing in my opinion. It was hard for me to put this book down because it was fun to read. I would recommend this book to 5th and 6th graders because it was made for them. I chose this book because I love football and the author is Tim Green.
The reason I picked picture 1 is because the whole book is about football and is based on football. That’s why I pick picture 1. The reason I picked picture 2 is because the person is reading the play and that’s what Troy does reads the play to see what they are going to do. The reason I picked picture 3 is because Troy can basically read exactly what the other team is going to do so basically he has a play book built into his head.
The book I read was Football Champ by Time Green. The setting of the book is Atlanta, Georgia during the fall. The main places in the story are the Atlanta Falcons Stadium, Troy’s middle school and football field, and Troy’s house. The story is written in first person because Troy (the main character) is telling the story.
Violent games are not suitable for children, at five years old, violence and aggressiveness should not be a priority of a child, and school and education should always be their top priority. If adults choose to play this sport, the NFL needs to accept and admit that football is a violent game and that it can cause long term damages to the brain and body. The NFL refutes the arguments about CTE and long term damaging effects football has on the brain by stating there are fully aware of the risks.
Football Rules Football is played by two teams, with eleven players from each team on the field at a time. A football field is 120 yards long and 53 1/3 yards wide, including a field of 100 yards and two end zones of ten yards each. A game of football consists of four 12-15 minute quarters, depending on the level of play.
The game of flag football has been played since the mid 1800’s. The first college game occurred between Princeton and Rutgers on November. 6. 1869. And the professional game has been played in some form since 1895. The game of Touch and Flag Football has been around nearly as long as tackle football.

This book is written by Tim Green. This book is realistic fiction. All of the events in this book can happen in real life, hence the “real” in realistic. A quick summary would be: Troy White lives in a small town near Atlanta, Georgia. Troy is known as a “Football Genius,” because he can predict what the other team will play before they play. Soon he is recruited by the Falcons to do what his mother calls his “gift.” But when many start to believe that Falcons sudden win streak is to good to be true, Troy has to protect his reputation or he will be banned from the NFL forever.

An internal conflict in the book is on page 47, in which Troy is mad at himself. Troy is always blaming himself on things he didn’t fully do. He blames himself for things that were never in his control, but he feels he has an impact on. On page 47, he blames the fact that his father left when he was 6 on himself, saying that he didn’t spend enough time with him and didn’t praise him enough. An external conflict in this book is when Peele, the main antagonist is giving Troy some trouble. He tried to Manipulate Troy’s words to hurt his reputation, so he would get into trouble with the NFL for stealing plays from other teams, all while Troy was doing nothing wrong. This type of conflict would be man vs man because the problem is between Peele and Troy.

Overall, I disliked this book a little bit. I have read the other books in this series, and they seem to have more a moral/ meaning to the story in the end. This book wasn’t filled with enough conflict that didn’t include himself. The others contain more protagonist vs antagonist filled conflicts. I recommend this book to 5-7 graders, as there are a lot of parts with meaning that younger people would not understand. When talking to himself, Troy would discuss a lot that most 4 graders would not enjoy. I think that readers that like realistic fiction would enjoy this more than people that enjoy sports fiction because there is less action than in most sports books!

Football champ is a book written by Tim Green and is the third book in the “Football Genius” series. It involves a teenager named Troy, his mom, and Atlanta Falcons linebacker Seth Halloway. It also involves his friend sometimes and also the owner of the Falcons but like I said they only make some appearances. The main protagonist is a reporter called Brent Pelee. Pelee and Seth went to college together and tackled him hard so now he can’t play football like he wanted to since he was a kid. As a result Pelee wants to see Seth down and get revenge on him. It takes place in Atlanta,Georgia and it is in the early 21st century since they use flip flop phones and the rest of the technology. And it also takes place sometimes at Troy’s middle school. So basically Troy has a unique talent and that talent is he can predict plays some people even call him a “Football Genius.” When Troy's mom was hired he decided to tell them and when they witnessed it with their own eyes they hired him. Then that's when Seth came in he was the linebacker for the Falcons. Since he was dating Troy’s mom he decided to coach Troy’s football team. Together the Atlanta Falcons and Troy’s tam try to make it to the playoffs then to the championship. But remember that Pelee guy I was talking about well he comes to ruin Seth’s career which mean the Atlanta Falcons season and also Troy’s season. One theme that this book gives off is that even though things aren't looking good for you and life looks like the worst doesn't mean you should give up. Remember that everyone goes through some problems but if you work on them they can and will get resolved. This book actually made me read to find out what is going to happen next and I recommend this book to anyone who likes sports books.
