DL Gallie writes spicy romance with elements of comedy and suspense. She currently lives in Central Queensland, Australia, her husband and two teenagers. She and her husband have been together since she was sixteen, and although they drive each other crazy at times, she couldn’t imagine her life without him.

Shortly after her son was born, DL began reading again. With encouragement from her husband, she picked up the pen and started writing. Almost ten years later and the voices in her head won’t shut up.

DL enjoys listening to music, drinking white wine in the summer, red wine in the winter, and beer all year round. She’s also never been known to turn down a cocktail, especially a margarita.

This story about Tate and Kip was hot. Both are young firefighters, so encountering danger isn't anything new to them. But when that danger actually does affect them, it's a whole different story. I really enjoyed this novella. It may be short, but it definitely packs a punch.

It's no news that I love to read. I take every single chance to read, even for just a few minutes.
I can't get enough and I love every second.
DL Gallie has given me some amazing books and when I finished the first book from this series I knew that I needed the next one. So... Here I am.
Her writing is so hot, intense and will give you all the feels.
Before the Ashes is her latest release and it's the second book from the Ashes to Ashes series.
Have you read After the Ashes? If you have, you know how good it is, but if you haven't...Just go read it, or else you won't understand this book.
This book keeps exploring the lives of Kip and Tatum.
These two are firefighters. They live for it and know the danger that lurks in every corner.
What they weren't expecting was the chemistry they feel for each other and one thing leads to the other and sparks fly.

I'm so in love...So So in love.
I adored the first book, the danger and this new book just nailed it.
Perfect plot, well written, super engaging and hot as hell.
The chemistry these two share is off charts and the hot stuff...
Once I started to read this book, it was impossible to stop.
The need to know what happened after...
I'm in love with these characters and I need more.
What made me love this book so much was the fact that I got some of the answers left in the previous book. But now I have more...
I can't wrap my mind around some things. things like... why do I have to wait for the next book?? lol
I know that I sound crazy, but ask me if I care...

Tatum comes from a line of fire fighters, and she’s one of them. With the exchange program from Australia, Tatum can’t help but notice Kip, and it’s one fire she can’t put out.
Kip noticed Tatum from the start but didn’t think it was right with her being the chief’s daughter. One night her brother says to go for it, just don’t hurt her.
Once they decide they can’t live without each other Kip and Tatum are inseparable. Both surprised that Tatum’s parents were doing bets on how long it would take them to get together.
When they both get injured in a fire, they know they can’t live without each other.
*does end with a HEA, although the ending leaves you wondering.

What a sweet little novella this is

Tatum is a serious ‘Tom boy’ and lives with her younger brother, mum and dad.

Tatum is a firefighter 👩‍🚒 along with her brother and chief firefighter dad

Kip is an Australian firefighter that has come over to work for the year

When these two get together, it gets hot 🥵 and heavy very quickly and also quit comical

BUT!!!!!!! I’m scared to read the next book BUT know I will love it!!!!

This was my first book from this author and I absolutely loved it. I wasn't expecting to get so invested in these characters from just a short prequel but I definitely did. They were great. The dynamic between Tatum and Kip was so sweet, fun, cute, and sexy all wrapped up into the just right bundle. I can't wait to read the next one even though I'm totally bracing myself for what happens.

This is a sweet novella that leads up to After the Ashes. This is the sweet and spicy love story between Kip and Tatum.

The chemistry, dialogue and passion between these two characters is off the charts.

Hold on to your hearts and dive into After the Ashes…it’s the rest of Kip and Tatum’s story…its a heartbreaking but beautiful written.

Pretty good book to curl up with and read in pretty much one sitting (at least I did lol)... This is my first time reading a book by this author and liked it... Wouldn't mind reading more... Some funny parts and some drama... And we can't forget the scenes that can fog up a window lol...
