This novel has action, horror, fantasy, and humor rolled into a tale about The Old Fogies, a group of four elderly people who have unusual, monstrous backgrounds that used to confer immortality. Despite their current, seemingly mundane lives, they want that immortality back, no matter how gruesome the task may be. The imagination behind this tale, along with some witty observations, make this an entertaining read.
