Author's first novel, one that created quite a bit of controversy when it came out and was turned into a notable movie, starring Warren Beatty. The film was terrific, but the novel is even better, a chilling account of people who start dying in horrendous ways and the conspiracy behind the deaths. Singer went on to have several other wonderful novels published. He's an author to look for.

Loren Adelson Singer was an American novelist, best-known for his 1970 political thriller, The Parallax View, which was made into a successful 1974 film, of the same name, starring Warren Beatty, Paula Prentiss, Hume Cronyn and William Daniels.
