A time to heal
Selena is back home. Now the hard work begins. Because, as hard as being kidnapped, after being attacked, was, now she has to wake her Circuli mates. The princes will be weak, but her Favored lost limbs before she was taken. They will need so much healing. It's a good thing she has a couple new friends to help.
Spoilers ahead.
Selena is pretty much done with not being in charge of her own destiny. Following the stars' path led her to her many loves, which was great, but it also led her to being targeted by lizard aliens (can't remember the name of the ones at the council meeting), the Quaww, Xenak, and others who'd harvest her eggs and leave her for dead. She has had to place her cubs with Z's family to protect them from their grandsire's purity purge. She's seen her mates come to harm by the former sovereign. She's ready for that rear and relaxation she was promised her moon would hold. But first, she has mates to wake and heal, refugee ambassadors to speak to the council about, possibly 5k refugees to home, and her cubs to collect. Oh. And a maybe snake mate to figure out, and a psi-dagger wielding brother of her kidnapper she has to figure out her connection to, as well. There's even more that's going on within these pages but those deserve to be discovered by the reader. There are some wonderfully tender moments to savor, too. Although, to keep them tender maybe Kaica needs to muzzle Chyox? Lol. He's still a little bit of a curmudgeon.

Well, I'm glad I just found this series in 2023. So hopefully it won't be much longer before book 6 comes out. I am worried that the author has lost interest in the series.
I absolutely love the Circuli males in the harem. I love the dynamics of Circuli males with the more dominant and sexual members in the harem. Just having the Circuli members in the harem makes this a much more unique and interesting series.
This might be one of the most unique and interesting RH series I have ever read. The only other series that comes close to doing such a great job on the overall series is "The Wild Rites Saga".
For whatever reason one of the possible future mates bugs me. I don't know why. I just don't like him, but I also don't really know him. I guess I feel like he is up to something shady. Going by the title and cover of book 6 it will have him joining the mating clan as part of the plot. Hopefully, that will help us get to know the character.

I have a bone to pick with this book. It has no substance, no plot. For surch a generous page count absolutely nothing happens! Nothing! Lots of talk, inner feelings and musings and sex scenes.
So, Selena wakes up her Circuli mates and accidentally has taken over Decimas Circuli web. That's it. I am not even sure of time line for this book, I think it is less than a week?
Anyway, Mwe didn't arrive yet, Assambley for Outsiders didn't happen, they didn't reunite with cubs. In short, nothing happened. At all! I have a strong feeling this book could have been skipped in series and reader wouldn't know they missed anything. So I have to ask. What was the point of this book? There is just so many times I can read on repeat about Selena getting intimate with her mates both individually and as a group.
Overall, this is an extremely boring book. Without a plot and any progress to series as a whole, it was a waste of my time.

EDITING ERROR: Chapters 43-45 should be after Chapter 37.
Because Chapter 42 story connects directly to Chapter 46 and not 43-45. It doesn’t make sense for Selena to say “I’m going to see Odelm in the music room” and then…waits while Kaede has a secret fertility meeting with Zirene…then Kaede teleports Selena to the music room with Odelm??
And then on page 332 Zirene tells Selena something he just told Kaede he wasn’t going to tell her on page 323? I’m trying to say this without giving things away but it doesn’t come across as a plot point but as an error.
I think the end of the book was poorly edited. I might be wrong but it feels choppy and awkward. Like cut/paste errors. (Read in Kindle on November 22nd 2024)

DNF at 16% when Zirene was being retrospective about his and the FMC Selena's experiences.
I just didn't care about Selena's relationships and where the plot was going from here when the original major issues in the first book were already mostly resolved (evil lab aliens, Quaww civil war, mysterious voice, and abusive parent). I was really bored with all the info dumping and telling, and Selena was a unlikeable and overly powerful yet hopelessly inexperienced FMC to me - she was now the leader of the entire Circuli mental web on her planet, Beacon (fated mate) to the Aldawi King, the ultimate breeder, extremely strong natural mental shields, harem of 6+ males... and who knew what it would continue develop into. I peeked at the last few pages and seemed like this 5th book was only halfway through the planned arc. I had really wanted to read more about the interactions with her two Aldawi cubs, but they were always been dumped on some other person to take care of even though Selena claimed to miss them a lot.
I already thought the series other than the first book were just meh, and I'm tapping out now. I'm not convinced if I want to try other series by this author.

Jade that cliffy lol
I am sad about her mates And what happened to them I'm glad they're on the mend I'm hoping that she gains the 2 mates Mentioned in this book. I'm excited to see what the next book brings. I have binged This series The last couple of days And I'm excited To see what it To see where it goes I'm hoping there is50 more books LOL Because I wanna see her pregnancy with all her mates And if not hopefully we get a novella With all of that I don't know if the next book will be the last book But if it is I can't wait to see where Jade takes it. And I'm happy with more the merrier lol she needs a billion mates lol yes. And who would dare betray Selena and her Shadow and clan.

I love Selena and she is finally back where she belongs. This is one of my favorite books in the series, it ties up so many things in all her current relationships and brings them all closer than ever. Ohh and there are some really excellent steamy scenes!! With finally a beautiful lead in to the next book. I feel like this is the book we all had been waiting for, the wake before the next storm. I really enjoyed it and can’t wait for more Selena in my future!!

After Selena had been kidnapped she knew her nest mates were dying but she couldn’t do anything until she was rescued. While waiting for rescue she found a base with refugees who needed a place to live. She was rescued and now she must help her nest mates to get better. The rest of the galaxy is waiting and watching to see what happens next. Highly recommend this book and series.

Reboot
Fantastic writing! The characters are just so well thought out and they excite you as you follow them on their journey. The world building continues to be awesome and the overall story line is so intriguing. I really really can't wait to read the next book in this series. I would highly recommend this series.

This is another good book to add to the series. It is a transition book where we are making sure our clan is healthy both mentally and physically. Cant wait for more action in the next book!

It was the weakest book of the series. The story stood in place, all we got was fluff so it was a bit of a nothing burger.
Selena woke her Circuli mates from stasis and they began healing. Her symbiont was helping with that and with managing the network of all Circuli citizens of Destima that Selena took over automatically, because her princes were unconscious. The only drama was a prophecy one of the newcomers gave them, and awkward attempts at courting from the naga looking dude Zyxel or whatever he was called ;) Mwe still didn't arrive on the moon, the cubs were still with their aunt, so the 359 pages were maybe a week in the universe with nothing exciting happening other than Selena getting fucked and licked very often.
Oh, yeah, and she's pregnant again. Yay...

Every new book that comes out in this series just drags me in more. I cannot wait to find out what happens next!
I’m so curious whether she’ll take in two new mates soon. She’s pretty adamant that she won’t buuuuut I just have a feeling she won’t fight the attraction too much longer.
I’m also pretty excited to know what her little girl will look like! Will it be more like Kaede or her? Or a mix?
I just have so much I wanna know! I can’t wait for the next book to come out!
