Tina Folsom is a New York Times and USA Today Bestselling Author. 2 3/4 "I liked this but..." Stars.

...I hated the way Naomi was so was insecure about her body. It is the lasting impression of this book for me. Also I was really annoyed with how side characters were so quick to call her fat when she was describes as being 5'5" tall and between 160-170lbs. After that description, one of the male side characters immediately chuckled and said, "Oh a chubby one." Quite frankly, it pissed me off. Perhaps I have some fatphobia myself. In fact, I know I probably do because of what society teaches us, but that would describe me very closely and I have never though myself fat. I hate that Naomi repeatedly called herself fat in such a negative way and only felt better about herself because of affirmation from Damian. Don't get me wrong, of course your partner should affirm your insecurities. Physical and otherwise. But in a romance book released in 2022 the FMC should not base her whole self worth on her body and whether or not men find her attractive. We all have insecurities but the way this was written was just annoying and out of date.

Other wise, I liked this book. The mystery to be solved was interesting. Naomi was a big asset to solving the mystery. Damian was a very dirty sweetheart. He started off rough for me but he quickly redeemed himself. These are some of my favorite vampires. I still like this series a lot and I'm looking forward to Grayson's book. Happy reading.

I’ll put my usual disclaimer here - you should start from the beginning of the Scanguards books if you want to truly appreciate all the characters here. That being said, you can probably “restart” with the hybrids, but at least go back 1 book.

Damian is the co-owner of a nightclub that just so happens to be the focus of an intrepid reporter’s story. Naomi, said reporter, is looking for a story and way outside her comfort zone in a sexy Halloween costume at the nightclub. When they encounter one another, it’s instant sparks and one-night-stands. These two are much more than casual lovers, though, and Damian is rapidly drawn into a complicated story. While they were hooking up, people were going missing, and someone was setting up Scanguards as a whole. While there’s no real big bad in this story, it was still really fun to watch the mystery (and the romance) work itself out.

His Red Riding hood

I can say this that each of Tina's books are great reads. Damian is a night club owner , vampire one. Naomi is investigating a story that is happening around the club. She is dressed as red riding hood little did she know that one night will change her and Damian's lives forever. There are twist mystery and much much more. You'll not want to put this book down. Can't wait to read the next book..

Damian's Conquest: Scandguards Hybrids book2...

Scandguards Vampires book 14. So the next generation steps in and steps up. Damian finds his mate. A reporter that he doesn't really trust but Naomi helps him solves the case. It's all a little twisty but it a great read. Yes it's one book in an epic saga but it does not disappoint. Angsty, hella dramatic, action filled and Smexy.

She writes with passion and she’s always sympathetic towards her characters in the sense that they don’t suffer for long and they are rewarded for what they went through by finding their true love mates even though they sometimes have to fight to get what they want and deserve. It's not a bad book. The writing was good but I never felt that they were in love. There was lust but not love, 3/4 throught the book and they didn't know basic things about each other. I guess I had higher expectations based on the author's previous work.

Wow! This is Damian's story of how he finds his mate and how she helps the Scanguards Agency find a thief and a missing vampire and his girlfriend. Very well written. I couldn't put this book down.

I thought Naomi was interesting and quirky. It is always good to visit with Nina and Amaury. Damien was heartwarmingly protective and devoted to Naomi and seemed to shine when given responsibility.

Now we have Damian’s story with Naomi.

There was some information being held back by both Damian and Naomi. If they had just both been honest to start with.

I was correct in who the grandmother was but I wasI was surprised about who the uncle was. Had a few twists I didn’t expect.

I loved the book about Ryder but Damian will not disappoint you either. It seemed short and quick to me, but that's because I can never get enough when it comes to Scanguards. If I could, I would live in his world. I loved that Tina includes other families in the story, that Naomi is not super skinny and stereotypical! Damian has known how to live up to it and love her as it should. The story has had good action and many sexual scenes, just the way I like it. On the other hand, I need to know more about the others! I can't wait to find out what happens with Greyson! I bought the book at the same time it was available on Amazon Spain, I love the saga.
