Then I was schooled that a book so recently purchased, and direct from the author, was likely to be a prized possession, and only accidentally left behind.
Not usually one to feel guilty, I had this crazy idea to reunite book and owner.
I didn’t realise that, for a woman I didn’t even know, I’d end up putting my life on the line.

What an introruction to the Souls..... my heart broke for StoryTeller to begin with. I dont know how he managed to trust the Souls after that.... yes he went Nomad, Arizona were lucky to get him back. As for Sheri, maybe she had to be knocked down, so that when the right man came to stand at her side, she would know he was worth everything. I wanted to beat both her parents and as for her step mother and sister, Ill happily meet them all in the ring.....
I loved how the MMM booksigning was so nicely fitted in alongside the mention of what Im assuming is one of Manda fav authors

I loved it but I must admit I wasn't sure if I would because I loved the guys in Satan's Devils and didn't think anything could measure up to them, but boy was I wrong. Storyteller is such an amazing guy not happy to be a permanent member he loved being a nomad but all because he found a book and had to investigate and find the owner. So much happened in trying to find her but does he? Read it for yourself

This is a new to me author, and I definitely will be reading more of her work. The characters are well developed in the storyline is intriguing, action packed, and steamy. ST is a nomad until his Prez calls him home. Sheri decides to do some thing for herself finally, and goes to a book signing and then ends up getting kidnapped by traffickers. What Sheri never expected was ST to come to her rescue. After being thrown together in unusual circumstances, they form a bond that will they be over before they start?

What an awesome start for this new Wretched Soulz MC! Truly loved and enjoyed Storyteller and Sheri’ story. A lot of heartbreak and finding love for both of them.

This is the first book from the author I’ve read but it won’t be the last! Great writing and I can’t wait to read the other books coming in the series! So looking forward to the other stories!!

I usually really like this author’s work but this one fell short. The plot was forced and unrealistic and there was no chemistry between Storyteller and Sheri.
Also, not a big fan of authors incorporating other real life romance authors into their storylines. It’s weird to me and takes the reader out of the fiction they’re trying to create.

This storyline gripped from the very start and would not let go until it finished. Loved the dynamic that Storyteller has with Sheri! My thoughts were “Man this girl has balls!” I absolutely loved this book and can’t wait to see what happens to Chaz and the theif! A highly recommended read.

Fantastic start to a new series here with StoryTeller’s Tale, book 1 of the Wretched Souls MC.
StoryTeller (ST) earned his road name because of the ability he has to turn the slightest sentence into a story, and with a name like that it’s a good job he loves to read too. He may be a patched member of WSMC however issues from the past have led him to live his life happily on the road as a nomad. When the Prez of his chapter calls him to return he packs up his meagre belongings and heads back to Arizona, it’s during the ride back there where he finds a book, one that changes his life and leads his club into a war they hadn’t planned on.
Sheri probably thought that going to a book signing would be the highlight of her month yet it turned out her whole life was about to be turned upside down. In-fact the authors she’d longed to meet had probably written books containing elements of what she experiences. After being thrown together ST and Sheri begin to bond, in the strangest of circumstances they form a connection but will they live long enough to gain any enjoyment out of it? Or are they doomed before they even have a chance to begin?
I absolutely loved this book and all it’s characters, a gripping storyline from start to finish. I can’t wait to see what’s in-store for Chaz and the thief, I look forward to his book.

What a great read and a great introduction to a new MC and the brothers therein.

Story Teller is a member of the Wretched Soulz MC but is used to being a nomad with no real place to call home. He is happy with moving from place to place and is unhappy when the club Prez orders him to come back to the clubhouse. As Story Teller makes his way home he makes stops at several places along the way. At one rest stop he discovers a book laying on the ground which only catches his eye because it has the word nomad in the title. Story Teller picks the book up and takes it back to the clubhouse with him with the intention of reading about the biker nomad the author has written about.
Story Teller thinks no more of the book, or its previous owner, until he is reading it and discovers that the previous owner has had it autographed personally by the author. He then realizes that this book must have special meaning to its owner and sets out to find this mysterious owner, Sheri, and return the book. What starts out as a simple task of returning a book turns into something far more complex and dangerous. Story Teller must make a decision that could forever alter his life and the lives of those around him.
I really enjoyed this book and the author’s spin on the typical story of the knight coming to the rescue on a white horse. As I was reading it almost felt as though I was reading someone’s story of an unlikely fairy-tale come true that had happened. The author did a great job of making the characters likable and developing the storyline.
Story Teller is a hard-core biker that does not live by society’s rules and hates to be tied down to one place. He appears rough around the edges and is unlikely to be considered anyone’s hero by any means. Sheri has always followed the rules but is drawn to the characters in the biker MC books that she reads. She is quiet and keeps to herself because she suffers low self-esteem. Nobody has ever paid Sheri any attention because she is overweight and unattractive so she immerses herself in the lives of the characters in the books she reads. When Story Teller sets out to find Sheri and return her beloved book to her he his faced with some hard choices and the choices he makes will forever alter the course of his and Sheri’s lives.
I devoured this book in one sitting and found it impossible to put down because I wanted to see what Story Teller would decide to do and what would happen to Sheri. The action and suspense intensified throughout the book and left me turning pages to see what would happen next. A great read!

I don’t know how this author continuously writes these characters! I am in love with a new MC. I didn’t want or need another MC in my life but the Wretched Soulz have burrowed their way into my heart. One of these days I might just have to get a bike and find out what that freedom is really like.
StoryTeller has been a nomad since getting patched into the Soulz due to a heart-crushing incident with a brother and StoryTeller’s fiance. It has been a long 5 years. Now, StoryTeller is being called home by his Prez to help with a special detail. Along the way, StoryTeller picks up a book he found. He discovers that the book had a personal message from the author in the front. StoryTeller then discovers that the woman the book is autographed for is missing. He doesn’t know why but StoryTeller feels a strange pull and attachment to this woman. It has to be more than a shared taste in books.
Sheri receded into her isolated life since her father reappeared after her mother’s death with a new step-family that weren’t big fans of Sheri’s. Sheri finds happiness in motorcycle, mafia, and mayhem romance novels, wishing she could be in one. The one time Sheri decides to add a little excitement to her life by heading to an author’s convention two hours away from home, she is kidnapped by an MC. Sheri decides that fiction is better than reality. Sheri is slowly resigning herself to the expected fate when a stranger claiming her as his Old Lady shows up.
So much happens. Sheri and StoryTeller are separated. Then come back together but will the memories of the way they met be haunting enough to keep apart? Will new challenges keep them separated? All I know is that you have jump into this fast-paced beauty to find out. This was one helluva way to kickstart the Wretched Soulz. There is so much to like about this story. The characters, the excitement, the strong female characters, and the brotherhood are just a few of the reasons to love this story. This series appears to contain a tad more graphic violence but it is not detracting from the story, nor offputting. I wouldn’t mind a touch more steam but can totally see where it didn’t fit this story. This author is ah-effing-maze-zing. Get lost on the back of a bike with your arms around a biker!!

There is so much to love about this book, this world, and these characters. It may be 292 pages, but it’s packed with so much!
StoryTeller, Jake is a nomad in the Wretched Soulz MC based out of Arizona. After he was patched in, and taking care of business, he hit the road and hasn’t looked back. Now after five years of being on the road, he’s called home to help with a situation. Not planning to stay in once place, he finds himself thrown into a woman’s life that he’s never met, only because his conscious won’t let him walk away. Now that he’s stepped into it, he can’t back out and he’s not so sure he wants to.
Sheri Secord is a loner, a woman that keeps to herself, lives with a roommate that she barely knows, and by her own description is boring. However, she’s an avid reader of Motorcycle Romance books and her favorite MC author is going to be at the Motorcycles, Mafia, and Mayhem event in Austin, TX, not far from where she lives. She decides to take a chance and go to the event and get a signed book by her favorite author, her biggest problem is that she has to overcome the fear of being in large crowds, but she’s sure she can do it.
I loved this story, and I loved how the connection of the MMM World is written into it. It was a perfect start to this world, and I can’t wait to read more of the books by the different authors. StoryTeller and Sheri have an unusual story to tell of their first meeting, and their connections, while almost immediate is a great story to read. The fact that StoryTeller shows up on his black steed to rescue the girl is a great start to a relationship. Even if said girl is skeptical about the man after what she’s been through. I loved the book and I love the characters. This was my first book by Manada Mellett, but I will be reading more of her Wretched Soulz MC books to come because these guys are just too good to ignore. I give this book a 5-star review.

This is the first book in the Wretched Soulz MC series and i loved it. This author is definately one of my favourites and her books never fail to grip me and keep me on the edge of my seat.
This books is full of danger and excitement with a bit or romance thrown in which makes theses stories so good.
Storyteller got his handle for his ability to tell stories and it fits even better when this book revolves around a book he finds discarded at a service station. Storyteller is nomad member of the Wretched Soulz MC. When he find this supposedly random book he just thinks it could be a good read but what unfolds is something more dangerous and could lead to war between the Wretched MC and their ravel MC club.
When Storyteller finds the book signed he gets a strange urge to return it to the woman it belongs to. After finding out who she is, he also finds out she didn't leave of her own accord she was taken.
No ST is on a mission to rescue her but why he doesn't know.
Sheri is a quiet woman, she lives for reading and her passion is MC romances. She has fantasised about meeting a man just like in her books. But when she is kidnapped by a MC she realises that reality isn't as good as fiction.
Now she's trapped with no hope of escape. Until ST comes for her.
This is the type of man she's dreamed about finding. And as they spend time together they start to get closer. But will they get time to build a bond or relationship or will the MC gang that kidnapped her have other ideas and scores to settle which could potentially put them both and the Wretched Soulz MC in danger.

I absolutely loved everything about this book this author did it again and knocked it out of the park with this one. I’m a huge fan of this author and never hesitate picking up anything she writes and this one is no different. StoryTeller’s Tale is definitely on my list of favorites by this author. I pretty much devoured this book in one sitting because I had to know what was going to happen next. This is StoryTeller’s and Sheri's story. I thoroughly enjoyed this exciting standalone MC romance by one of my favourite authors, she never disappoints. The story introduces us to the Wretched Soulz MC, and nomad StoryTeller, who spends his time on the road travelling from place to place. I really enjoy every book written by this author and this story is fantastic!! Roller coaster of emotions, danger, twists and turns this book was easily consumed by me as I read each page.
StoryTeller (which I love this name for a member of MC) thought he was lucky in love until he was deceived and upon being a member of the Wretched Soulz MC, becomes a nomad on his own. While at a stop for a break when out riding...he stumbles across a book that intrigues him and decides to keep it for himself, not realizing the impact of this decision.

ST and Sheri spend most of this book apart, and complete strangers as a matter of fact. But a dropped book leads to their time together being very explosive.
The story begins with StoryTeller as a club Prospect, almost a year in. He weaves a beautiful tale out of a much less pretty scenario and thus, you are introduced to the reason for his club name. After a very upsetting situation, he takes to the road as a nomad. He sees himself perfect for the position and has no ties except to his club - just the way he likes it.
Sheri considers herself a boring, unattractive, wallflower that no one ever has interest in. To be fair, a less than desirable home life holds a very large part of her self deprecating view, but she has learned to survive by staying quiet and uninvolved. She takes a leap to do something fun for herself, and ends up in a terrible situation.
The two of them are drawn together by a book, and while it may seem a bit farfetched, it was a lot of fun to watch the author weave the tale that brings ST and Sheri together. Many moments are loaded with emotion and strain. However, ST and Sheri seem to read each other and their situation well and mesh, becoming heroes when neither considered themselves as one. Fate seems to keep pulling the two of them together. Will they follow, or run away?

This is the first book in The Mayhem Makers multi author series and also the first book I’ve read by Manda Mellett. I absolutely loved this book and the characters she created and the fact it centered around the Motorcycles, Mobster, and Mayhem Author event I’m hoping to get to go to.

Storyteller’s Tale is the first book in the Wretched Soulz MC Series by Manda Mellett. It is also Ms. Mellett’s contribution to the Mayhem Makers Series, a collaboration by several authors associated with the Motorcycles, Mobsters, and Mayhem (MMM) author event.
Storyteller and Sheri are really great characters, I felt for them, rooted for them, and was completely invested in their connection and story. Ms. Mellett doesn’t hold back, doing what she does best and delivering a MC romance with plenty of heart and soul- while strumming my emotions along the way.
There’s plenty more here that made this a captivating story- with drama, action, adventure, intrigue, insta-love, pain, betrayal, trust issues, chemistry, steam, surprising developments and more. So, if you love a really well written, riveting MC story- with complex, quirky and loveable characters, and an original plot- then this is definitely the book for you.
As I always say about Ms. Mellett’s books, be warned…. as you may discover that her books are quite addictive, and one won’t be enough! You might find yourself on a book binge in no time. So, limber up your one-click finger while she takes you on an emotional ride…

Manda Mellett’s book StoryTeller's Tale is part of The Mayhem Makers Series – Motorcycles, Mobsters, and Mayhem (MMM) author event and world collaboration. These standalone novels and are by several bestselling authors who write twisted chaos. What more could you want with bikers, mobsters, and dark romance. I will have to go and check out the other authors.

StoryTeller has always wanted a somewhat normal like but unfortunately it wasn’t in the cards for him. Betrayal is a bitter pill to swallow. Now he is ordered to return to one place he doesn’t feel welcome. Trying to do the right thing he soon finds himself facing one of the darkest sides of humanity that there is.
I absolutely fell in love with this story and it’s characters. It is a very emotional ride, but it is a great ride.
You will not be disappointed.

StoryTeller is a member of the Wretched Soulz MC. Instead of being assigned one location, he is a nomad. While wandering, he finds a book and begins to read it. With the prompt of one of the club's ladies, ST starts to wonder why this book was dropped.
Sheri is a recluse. Having worked up the nerve to go to a book convention, she finds herself kidnapped by the Wretched Soulz rival MC. Realizing she will be sold into the sex trade, she is afraid and needs to find a way out. Then StoryTeller comes to get her.
Opinion
I've read my fair share of motorcycle club books. This is the first that I could actually see myself as the female lead. She is a book nerd through and through and just happens to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Later on, she does not react how I've grown accustomed for female leads to react. She is definitely more realistic than the average female I read about.
Though ST has his down sides, he more than makes up for them in his honorable actions. This book is flat out awesome. It is also the start of a new series, and I love series. I will be on the lookout for more to come.

I’ve read Manda Mellet before and thoroughly enjoyed her books but this one is the same but different , makes perfect sense right !?❣️📚😉
I love myself a good MC and it’s been a wee while since I’ve heard the purr of a Harley so this really was a treat 🫶🏼
So Storyteller finds a book and his conscious bothers him and he’s determined to find the owner and return it ( I’m already in love ❣️📚😂) but in doing so he stumbles into a rather precarious position and said owner of the book , Sheri is in life threatening situation both he and Sheri are fighting for their lives but end up walking away from the traumatic experience….
I know bikers are big and bad but there are those that just draw the line where innocents and trafficking is concerned and that speaks volumes of their character ❣️
A few years down the line and Sheri again finds herself in a frightful position and again it’s Storyteller that comes to her rescue 🫶🏼and they do get their HEA but there were moments where I had my doubts and held my breath with great anxiety!

Once again! New Motorcycle Club! New set of brothers and a new family. This is Story Teller and Sheri's story. What a way to start this new series. StoryTeller is a NoMad, meaning he belongs but does not belong to the Wretched Soulz. He likes to be on his own, no rules, no games, no romance. Sheri is a loner, she is often just reading her books. MC's have caught her interest. So when her favorite authors are in town, she sets out to meet them as well as buy their books. This is where everything goes wrong for Sheri. Only reading this story will answer your questions. This author is among my very favorites. I don't even look to see what this book is about. I hear/see her name and I buy the book as well as the series. Her characters are fresh and headed in a different direction than the Satan's Devil's. Yet just as intriguing, suspenseful, the steamy parts are always breathtaking, because the bikers are hot. Truthful, honest and protection is what this series of bikers will bring you. I highly recommend this starter to another amazing MC series. Looking forward to book 2!

Storyteller has a shell of stone and a heart of gold. Sheri has a gentle exterior, a brain like Einstein, and a selfless heart. Sheri is constantly worrying about others, something many of us understand too well. Storyteller finds himself hooked on this woman he has never even met. Sheri finds herself in a predicament and fantasizes about being saved by this nomad. Is it a dream or does she end up with the man she has always wanted?
This author never fails to disappoint. From the get-go I was pulled in. The prologue left my jaw hanging. The author seemed to put their heart and soul into this book. The interest that both of the main characters have in reading is uncanny and all too familiar. Particularly their interest in MC storylines. I have not found a novel written by this author that I have not loved. The only reason you will regret picking up this book is because once you start, you will not be able to put it down until you are done. So make sure to set a few hours aside in your schedule because you will not get anything done until you finish this book.

This story is fun, scary and maybe a little too realistic. Readers may dream of living in the books they read but the reality is life is tough and not some fairy tale. This author though, tells Storyteller’s tale as a real-life story and sucks the reader right in.

This AMAZING author did it to me AGAIN!! She had me completely hooked right from the first word which meant a 2am bedtime for me yet again!! LOL Sleep is overrated right? I won't complain even for a single second over lost sleep when it means I get to read more and more of these truly AMAZING and totally captivating 5 star books filled with fantastic characters ( some you will love and some you will hate with a passion lol), creative storylines and just enough steam to keep things even more interesting page after page. If I could give it more than 5 stars I absolutely would!
My heart always becomes so invested in these well crafted characters and the paths their lives take them on so it was absolutely no surprise that I was so invested in the story of Storyteller and Sheri. Two very different people brought together by a small common interest under terrifying circumstances. It's was absolutely brilliant!!!

This book is absolutely amazing. Manda Mellett is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors, as her books keep me up until I finish them. I would complain, but every one of the stories leaves me thinking about life a little differently. They are truly page turners.
The storyteller is such an amazing character. He has so much to him, he is more than what meets the eye. Sheri is a wonderful character who has never found anyone to love and cherish her. Someone who puts her first. Crazy thing is, it takes a terrifying, life changing event for her to find someone who values her. The Storyteller and The Club are two things that Sheri could never have imagined. But she learns they are so much more than a club, its about people that value one another.
Definitely read this one. I cannot tell you adequately enough how amazing this book is!

Manda Mellett is a new to me author, but after finally getting to meet her through her work of StoryTeller's Tale, color me a fan. StoryTeller is a nomad, who has hurts that made me want to hug him, but his story starts when he's called back by his president. Sheri gets caught up in something that she never saw coming all because she did something for herself finally, but luckily for her, StoryTeller comes into her life & not only does he rescue her but there's also a connection there that never saw coming. This story was so amazing with all the emotion that was dragged out of me with both of them, plus there's a ton of action, and some twists. The big bonus came with me meeting a new supporting cast that I want more of since they were fantastic, and maybe just maybe, there's finally a happily ever after in store for StoryTeller & Sheri. In order to find out, you'll have to actually hit those one click buttons as I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
