This series is one of the best drawn manga I ever read, and definitely the best published recently. I absolutely adore the artwork, and I did not anticipate the story to become more and more intricate as volumes went by. I thought this was going to be a short series, but the more I go on reading it the more it feels like it will be a long one, and I couldn't be happier about it! Such a refreshing find, I am so so glad I picked this up.

This top notch fantasy manga series continues with what I would call an average volume, volume six, which is to say very good, amazingly well drawn and panelled. Our hero, the sweet and positive Coco--magic must be used for good to save the world!-- with the rest of her young witches in training, take a wounded Qifrey to the underwater Great Hall and meet Beldaruit of the Three Wise Ones (one of the very rock star witches) who challenges them: If they wow him with their magic they pass the test, basically. But his approach is confusing, difficult, obviously (he's one of the best, after all). So Coco takes a central role in the challenge, as some drama seems to be promised about Qifrey’s motives in this quest/training.

The artwork is just so beautiful but the story is what really keeps me hooked. It's intricate like the artwork.
I can't even describe all the positive feelings I get while reading this manga, I fell like I am riding an unicorn on a rainbow in the beautiful countryside while sipping my overly sweet coffee and munching on a chocolate cookie and listening to the concert of some classical crossover vocal group...or something...

Oh wow, I loved this volume SO MUCH!! It just beautifully portrayed the wonders of magic and innovation, and the ways people (especially young kids!) can have their individual weaknesses but work together to make the most of their strengths. One of my favorite volumes for sure :’)

(not spoiler-cutting because: not a spoiler)
This is just extremely exciting. Most books have one or at most two disabled characters, comics all the more so; and then this one has SEVERAL. No one told me about this! So now I'm telling you. It gives me life. (Please see my comments on the previous volumes for characters introduced earlier.)
In this volume there is a new character, an extremely skilled mage, who uses a chair. Not really a *wheel*chair because it has... magical animal legs, but the same concept of a mobility chair. At first I thought, OK maybe I'm reading too much into this and maybe it's just like... a fancy throne? But then he's shown in his bedroom, using push-up blocks (not sure this is the right term in English, sorry!) to sit up in bed. Also, he reflects on people assuming he can't do things at least twice; this is done subtly, but in both cases it's clearly about his mobility.
It's also not the kind of inclusion that actually ignores specifics. I am not a wheelchair user, but I do have a mobility disability, and that was relatable...

Me da la sensación de que no soy capaz de ponerle menos nota a estos mangas, pero es que son tan preciosos y bonitos y perfectos que ¿cómo ponerle menos estrellas? He visto que hay gente que se queja de que la trama no avanza lo suficientemente rápido, y es verdad que este tomo se centra prácticamente por completo en pasar la prueba del examen, pero es que aun así cada página y viñeta me parece tan emocionante y bonita que no puedo quejarme. Quiero que se resuelva el misterio, pero tampoco quiero que se dé ninguna prisa, porque estoy disfrutando como una enana de todos los detalles, del mundo mágico y de los personajes.

why am i crying??? i am in love with these vibrant characters and their personal struggles as they try to make their way through a secretly dark and unforgiving world while trying to keep their optimism and pure love for magic alive
the adult characters are so interesting and well written and the gravity of their stories makes great counterparts to the whimsy and joy of the children, i can’t wait to see how things start to come together in future volumes
the magic is beautifully illustrated as well, which i’ve said a thousand times

This more restful interlude where the girls learn new magic while their teacher recuperates is a pleasant break from attacks and inquisitors.

This series is best when it lets the four young apprentices interact, and after a slow start with all the adults yammering at them and each other, we get to see the girls work out how to pass a new test from the head of the department of witch education at the Great Hall of witches. The result is delightfully written and drawn. A high point of the series.

One of my favorite volumes! The students go to the great hall under the ocean and take their test from Lord Bel. We are learning about how the knights moralis is focused on tradition, code, and safety. The witch magic is centered on being true to yourself, creative, thoughtful, and precise there is a building tension between the two entities. Qifrey wakes up from his coma at the end.

Each volume of this series gets better and better. The Political climate of this volume was amazing, and I can't wait for the next volume!

Ця першокласна фентезійна серія манґи — «Ательє чаклунських капелюхів» від манґаки Камоме Шірахама — продовжується шостим томом, який не тільки розширює світ, але заглиблюються у минуле однієї з дівчат-учениць.
Другий чаклунський іспит було перервано раптовим нападом крислатих капелюхів. І після перепитій в минулій арці, де Кіфлі отримав поранення, Коко та її подруги стежать за Оруґіо та Лулусі, які спритно переправляють пораненого Кіфлі до Чарозалу (підводне місто, де проживає багато чаклунів та перебуває рада чаклунів). І поки місцева знахарка піклується про здоров’я Кіфлі, на здивування дівчат, Бельдарут, один із Трьох Мудреців, чекає на юних учениць із пропозицією ще одного випробування після того, як завдання Аґатти та Річе було перервано. Але воно буде дуже дивне, адже потрібно лиш здивувати магією Бельдарута, де Коко, можливо, єдина, хто може зібрати все воєдино та наблизитися до створення таких чар.
Аґатта продовжує залишатися однією з найбільш таємничих чарівниць в цій манзі, і мені сподобалося, що в цьому томі Камоме Шірахама дала можливість трохи зазирнути в її минуле. Також вражає, наскільки Коко була впевнена в їхній дружбі, незважаючи на незвичну та часом неприязну натуру Аґатти. Побоюся сказати, але виглядає, що саме в цьому томі їхня дружба досягає нарешті певних успіхів, особливо коли вони вирішують об’єднатися задля виконання спільного завдання.
Кожен том серії робить внесок у розвиток магічної системи та світу в цілому, представляючи нові тонкощі з розкриттям кожної деталі створення магії через речовини та систему чарування. Тому ця с��жетна арка не виключення, адже показує більш складне розуміння чарувальних механізмів, таких як змішування заклинань. Чи то риба-жаба, чи підводне місто, чи чайна чашка з пальмовим драконом або злиття заклинань, кожна деталь, від основної до найдрібнішої, збагачує чарівну та експансивну природу світу.
Незважаючи на продуманий темп і самодостатню атмосферу цієї частини, Камоме Шірахама вміло створює захоплюючий світ і вводить дедалі заплутаніших персонажів, ще більше покращуючи серію з кожним наступним томом. Досі дивуюся, як манґака витримує такий рівень вже шостий том підряд.

This story continues to entertain and delight me. The art is so lovely, and the storytelling is very well paced (almost every volume contains a specific challenge which the main character must overcome, using the skills we have seen her learn in previous installments). The only thing that worries me is the very large number of new characters who keep getting introduced. Am I expected to remember all of these people and care about them? Well, I will have to keep reading and find out!

5 ⭐️ ok I just love these characters and I haven’t been this enchanted by a whimsical magical world since Harry Potter (and I’m talking back before JK going off the deep end on Twitter and trying to destroy any love people have for that world). The main quartet in this book I love them all, the magic is so unique and cool, the mysteries have me intrigued. Can’t wait to continue.

Continuista con el final del quinto tomo, la sexta entrega de Atelier nos lleva hasta el hogar más concurrido de los magos: el gran Auditorio. Con Qifrey inconsciente y recuperándose, las 4 niñas del Atelier conocerán a uno de los tres sabios que les propondrá un peculiar desenlace para su 2º examen de magas. Un sabio que promete poner patas arriba todo lo que sabemos hasta ahora de Qifrey y los sombreros de ala.
Un tomo entretenido, repleto de nuevos escenarios y algún concepto mágico novedoso, que se entreteje de los habituales mensajes positivos de la serie (amistad, superación personal, creer en uno mismo) con un giro final no diría que inesperado del todo, pero si al menos despertando cierta incógnita en el lector.

This series genuinely just brings me so much joy (I’m refusing to process the end of this volume). The characters are just the best like the main four mean so much to me.

AHHH THAT ENDING OMG
This volume captured the world and the magic in such a lovely way, I haven’t felt this engrossed, or read something that felt just soooo magical, in a long time. It feels like being a kid again, reading about a different world for the first time.
Finally getting more of Olly, and more of Qifrey’s mysteriousness… sooo excited for the next volume!!

5 ⭐️ my favorite volume so far!!! the magic in this one was so whimsical and i love how the apprentices are getting closer to each other each day. working together and helping others out! so cute. we finally saw the great hall! such a beautiful castle. this ended with quite a cliffhanger and i’m so curious to see what volume 7 will be about. also, the bonus chapters were adorable!

El segundo examen de magia queda cancelado tras los graves acontecimientos que se producen durante su realización, motivados por el ataque de un Sombrero de Ala y el despertar de las estatuas de oro de la Gruta de Romonoon. Con Qifrey herido, Orugio se encarga de Coco y sus compañeras, que se encuentran sanas y salvas. Sin embargo, se les comunica el deber de acudir todos de inmediato al Gran Auditorio para explicar lo sucedido. Allí las niñas conocen al gran sabio Beldarut, ¡que las sorprende con una increíble propuesta...!
Este tomo destaca por su originalidad, Atelier siempre sorprende, pero creo que en este la mangaka se supera. Todo es gracias a la introducción del personaje de Beldarut, un divertido y curioso sabio que destaca por su imaginación y la creación de extrañas magias. Con su propuesta, despierta en nuestras protagonistas un espíritu creador nuevo que nos mostrará las verdaderas capacidades de los círculos mágicos.
Me gusta mucho como las chicas se relacionan, especialmente con esta prueba en al que tienen que cooperar para llegar cumplir su objetivo. Ver toda la evolución de este pequeño grupo, desde que se conocen en el primer tomo, despierta una gran calidez y ternura, su amistad es muy bonita y natural. En este sentido la que más ha cambiado es Agete, que se convierte en un personaje al que le coges mucho cariño, aunque es imposible no cogerle cariño a todas.
Me gusta como destaca Orugio en este tomo, un personaje del que casi no sabemos hasta ahora. Apareciendo como un mago misterioso, en este tomo conocemos un poco más sobre él y su magia, aunque quedan ganas de saber más sobre él y su relación con Qifrey.
Atelier of Witch Hat no deja indiferente con ningún tomo, siendo uno de los mangas más bonitos artísticamente que he tenido en mis manos. Esto se acompaña de un mundo interesante y unos personajes encantadores, además de los misterios que envuelven a los Sombreros de Ala y las distintas magias que todavía desconocemos. Todavía queda mucho por descubrir de este mundo construido por Kamome Shirahama, estoy deseando continuar este viaje.

Interesting ending, I’m pretty sure what Coco will chose, but I wonder what would happen if she made the opposite choice. I could see her rising through the ranks of the witches and that could be an interesting story (although similar to something like Naruto wanting to become Hokage).
Also nice to get some or Agott’s backstory but I’m still not her biggest fan lol, it was nice to see some character growth for her finally tho

This volume is dedicated to world-building and character development. The girls get a second chance at the trial and delight the mighty and whimsical Lord Beldaruit, in whom Coco discovers a kindred spirit. We get to know the wonders of the witches’ Great Hall, and some of Agott’s past... and what of Qifrey’s?
