Matthew and Luna don’t have a good history. When they were teenagers, Matthew made promises and broke her heart. He had to let her go and watch her walk away. For years, he’s watched from a distance, knowing he is the one for her. Not anyone else. There is no one else for Luna. Boyfriends never worked out. There was only ever Matthew. Just him, and she hates it. She isn’t a doormat, pining for a guy who is never going to love her. So, why is she back in Vale Valley? Why did she quit the life she had to come back home? Matthew’s not going to let this chance pass him by. He let her go once and regretted it. Now he’s going to work to keep her. Luna wants to be with him, but how can they make it work? They have so much history, but every second spent with him feels right. He’s the love of her life. She’s the love of his life. Can they make it work—or will they walk away?
Sam Crescent is passionate about fiction. She loves a good erotic romance and so it only made sense for her to spread her wings and start writing. She began writing in 2009 and finally got that first acceptance in 2011 by Total-E-Bound. She loved creating new characters and delving into the worlds that she creates. When she’s not panicking about a story or arguing with a character, she can be found in her kitchen creating all kinds of havoc. Like her stories the creations in the kitchen can be just as dubious but sometimes things turn out great.
It’s hard to root for a heroine who is as pathetic as this one. She had one shining moment where she told Holly (a previous heroine in this series and the stepmother of the hero) to get out of her house, but other than that, she’s pretty much written as a loser who pines after a hero who can’t keep it in his pants (because he was soooo scared 🙄).
I knew going into this that the heroine would be celibate. So that wasn’t my issue. It was the fact this heroine had gone off to college, given every opportunity to make something of herself and truly move on…only to move back to her hometown, work in the same dead-end job she used to, and pine after the loser hero. Didn’t make any sense.
They both deserved each other.

This was quite the engaging second chance romance for Luna and Matthew. Matthew was an immature cad to Luna, his highschool sweetheart. She left him and his bad behaviour and went off to uni. Now she's done and home to house sit for her parents while she decides where to apply for work. Matthew has grown a ton and regrets a ton... He knows Luna is totally right in trying to blow him off but he can't let her go. What follows is a ton of grovelling and lots of hope. I couldn't help rooting for him even though he really didn't deserve an HEA with such a great gal. I loved the chemistry between them and the fact that we had some MC stuffs going on to keep things hopping :D
If you read “Easy” from the series, you know the story about Matthew and Luna’s past. It was heartbreaking. We finally get to read their story grown up. They both stilled loved one another but the past kept getting in the way. For Luna is was difficult to trust him. Matthew had no problem telling Luna he loved her. He loved her from the start. He just was a stupid teen who messed up with her and wanted to win her back. We also still have an issue in Vale Valley with the drugs. Someone has created one that is killing the people. It was looking bad for the club and they needed to find out what was going on. I had a feeling who was the cause of all of it. Luna moving passed all the heartache from before and learning to believe Matthew was the big hurdle. These two were meant to be. Just needed to push for it.
Matthew and Luna have a complicated history. Luna was Matthew's tutor in high school and they had feelings for each other. Matthew loved Luna but was afraid of his feelings for her so he slept with other girls and would not commit to Luna. He broke her heart and after a pregnancy scare, Luna left town to go to college and Matthew realized that he needed to grow up if he ever had a chance of getting her back. I never like cheating in a book and Matthew did cheat on Luna when they were teenagers but those occurrences have already happened when we get to present day and Matthew is now prospecting for his patch in his father's MC and has stopped sleeping around and is just waiting for his chance to prove to Luna how much he loves her and that he is ready to commit. Luna loves Matthew but is not sure that she can trust her heart to him again. I really liked that Matthew did grovel and basically beg Luna for forgiveness. He also told his dad and friends that it was his fault on why they were not together and that he loved Luna and she was it for him. So for me the grovel was good, there was enough action to keep my attention and plenty of spicy times in between.
Matthew was very immature back in high school but aren’t most guys?! He didn’t know what he really had, when he had it and that “it” was Luna. Even though Luna was now gone Matthew had always kept tabs on her hoping one day to win her back.
Would Matthew be able to prove to her that he knows he made a terrible mistake years ago and win back the love of his life and is Luna really cut out for club life? This story was a page turner for me and I can’t wait for more books in the Trojans MC series.
After breaking her heart in his teens Mathew is determined to win Luna back no matter the cost. Throw in some MC action, family interference and a wronged ex-lover and you’ve got enough action to keep your attention.
I loved how once the hero got his head on straight he was all about the heroine. Great start to a new MC Series.
MISTAKES is the eleventh instalment in Sam Crescent’s contemporary, adult TROJANS MC erotic, MC, romance series. This is club prospect, twenty four year old Matthew Bana, and waitress Luna Daniels’ second chance story line. MISTAKES can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary. Matthew is the son of the Trojans MC president Duke Bana (CONTROL #1).
Told from third person perspective MISTAKES follows the rebuilding romance and relationship between twenty four year olds, Matthew Bana and Luna Daniels. Luna and Matthew were high school sweethearts but after professing his love to our story line heroine and the possibility of a pregnancy scare, Matthew walked away into the arms of someone else. Fast forward to present day, Luna has returned to town, having successfully graduated college but not finding a direction in life. House sitting for her parents, working part time at the local diner, Luna would come face to face with her past in the guise of Matthew Bana, now a prospect for his father’s club. What ensues is the rebuilding but struggling relationship between Matthew and Luna, and the potential fall-out as a new street drug is taking its’ toll on the town, and the Trojans MC are marked in a game of vengeance.
The relationship between Luna and Matthew is one of second chances. Matthew Bana screwed up years earlier, and has struggled in the wake of losing the only woman he would ever love. Stalking our heroine from afar, Matthew was always aware of Luna’s existence until her latest arrival back home. Desperate to reclaim the woman he loved, Matthew sets about to seduce our story line heroine, unaware that his father is about to place Luna in the direct line of fire. The $ex scenes are intimate and erotic.
There is a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters including a number of previous couples and characters : Duke and his old lady Holly (Control #1), Pike and Mary (Betrayal #2), Brass and Eliza (Easy #7), Landon (Claimed #10), Winter aka Maya, as well as the mention of several other MC members: diner owner Mac Reynolds, and Luna’s parents. There is something in the works concerning Maya.
MISTAKES is a story of second chances; a rekindling romance destroyed by betrayal and fear. The fast paced premise is entertaining; the romance is passionate and hot; the characters are desperate and determined.
Quick Summary: A second chance with a biker match up
My Review: Mistakes by Sam Crescent was not for me. It read like a YA/T with NA themes. I kept having to look to see which group it was marketed toward, as the main characters seemed so immature. I really struggled with pushing toward the end of this one.
What I Liked: - I loved the concept of a biker club. - Second chance love stories will always rock. - The closeness that Luna shared with her parents was sweet. - The brotherhood concept between the MC was significant. - The mystery associated with Preach was intriguing. (The brief mentions made me want to know him more.) - The protective nature of the MC over the community was telling. - The conflict scene that happened when Luna went back to retrieve her belongings was when the story really picked up for me.
What I Did Not Like: - The maturity level (or lack thereof) of Luna and Matthew was irritating. Their reasoning for not being together (for Matthew) and for being together (for Luna) did not work for me. - The disconnect associated with the past Mac when compared to the present Mac was hard to grasp. Something about it just didn't ring true. I felt like it was too much of a stretch. - The Jekyll-Hyde switch that Luna's parents displayed toward Matthew was mind-boggling. - The MC culture that celebrated a private moment with onlookers was a serious no! - There seemed to be a side story with Maya, but it did not flow smoothly. It seemed oddly misplaced, in a way.
My Final Say: This story will likely appeal to many readers. For me, it was a no. Still, it was not horrid. If Preach is in the second book, then I may consider giving it a read.
Rating: 2/5 Recommend: - Audience: ?
I voluntarily read this work through NetGalley. Thanks is extended to the publisher who provided access to a digital ARC in exchange for an honest review.
The book opens with present-day Luna 24 years old back in her hometown house sitting for her parents who are on vacation. Working her old job at the diner as she had in high school Matthew’s father who is the president of the bike club talks to her. When Mattew finds out he shows up at the dinner days later. He wants to work on getting back together with her since he broke up with her in high school. The thing is at the beginning you get the feeling that the people around him think she is the one who broke up with him and not the other way around. The book and story are good with passion and suspense with the two of them working at getting back together and issues with the club along with Matthew working as a prospect, which makes everything work story-wise. Good characters as well. I received this book from Netgalley.com
Seems like fans of this series have been waiting forever for Matthew and Luna's story and now Ms. Crescent has given it to us. Yes, there were times I wanted to shake both of them and make them wake up but hey, then there wouldn't be a story. This is one of my favorite series by the author and it was good to see characters from the previous stories and some new ones that I'm hoping will get their story in the future. Anyway, Matthew is gonna have to fight like crazy to get Luna back. He messed up big time so he's juggling that along with trying to become a patched in member of the MC. Even though his dad is the Prez, it doesn't mean he's got it easy. Nope, his dad is gonna make him work for it like everyone else. I honestly loved this one so much!!
Mathew broke Lunas heart and his own when he pushed her away, he watched her go but always watched over her. There was no one else Luna wanted than the man who didn't want her, or so she thought. When she returns back to the Valley to belp her parents out, Mathew won't let this second chance pass by, but can Luna trust him with her heart a second time? But trouble surrounds the club and when Luna gets involved how will Mathew react? And can he keep her safe? Well written second chance, grovelling, desires, steamy drama and more. A great addition to the series.

Matthew knew he messed up and wondered if he would see Luna again. When she came back and was working at the dinner, she gave no heads up that she was back. Her first encounter with Matthew did not go well but time would tell. There is a drug situation in town having kids overdosing. The Trojans want to know who is bringing the drugs in and when the MC President asks Luna for help it will change her and Matthews lives forever, but will it finally lead them to their happily ever after? I was kept on the edge of my seat from start to finish!

Being the son of the Prez in the Trojans MC doesn’t mean you don’t have to do the same stuff that any prospect has to earn their patch into the club. Matthew has learned it the hard way. He was a screw up in his high school days and broke the heart of his one true love and now Luna is back in town and he wants her back. Will he be able to prove to her that he has changed? Will Luna prove she is strong enough to be part of an MC family? This is a fast paced story that will have you turning the pages to find out if Luna will forgive Matthew and have a HEA.

I have read all Sam Crescents MC books and have loved them. I was really looking forward to Matthew and Luna's story to round out the series. For me, it seemed rushed, no description of characters, as it pertains to looks, personality, general background. Nothing really pulled me into this book, it was just bland. Even the use of "Er" through out the story was a bit annoying (for me). I look forward to future books, others may love this installment, but for me, it missed the mark.
Matthew & Luna's story "Mistakes" is an emotional one. Luna is back in town to house sit whilst her parents are away & it's not long before she runs into Matthew. The spark of attraction is still there but so is hurt he inflicited. He broke her heart & she refuses to let that happen again despite him saying that he wants her back & it's only her that he loved. What lengths will Matthew go to to prove that he is serious about her?.

“Whenever he told her that he loved her, he never stuck around.”
Finally. Finally. After what seems like forever finally we get Matthew and Luna’s HEA. I was personally starting to think we never would and I’m relieved it’s here. Talk about star crossed lovers, these two couldn’t seem to get out of their own way. I can’t believe what they had to go through to find each other. I always hoped they would be together one day. No spoilers at the surprising plot twist, just good feelings at the end.

A big thank you to NetGalley and EverNight Publishing for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. This was confusing to me, so many questions. Well I guess I should say that I don't really read MC books very often and know little about them. So for me this is just odd. Why the odd rituals? Why is Matthew still a pledge after 6 years? Why did she bother to come home? I just didn't feel the vibes between Luna and Matthew. This one just didn't do a thing for me. 2.5 stars
I honestly didn’t care for either main character. Luna was rude and struck out at people who didn’t deserve it in anger. Matthew and Luna had history. Matthew had told Luna that he loved her but then ignored her and slept with other girls. Honestly it made me sick. He was supposedly obsessed but if he was and really loved her he wouldn’t have been with other girls . He even said sleeping around had been easy. This story wasn’t all bad by any means but it’s been my least favorite to date.
This story sort of dragged for me, I think maybe I need to read the other books in the series to understand the character dynamics. Luna and Matthew have a teenage history with Matthew breaking Luna!s heart. Luna leaves but has now returned. Matthew is intent on winning her back. It’s an okay read, but slow moving.

I enjoyed this story, Sam Crescent knows how to write stories that keep you glued to your book. Luna and Matthew's story is great, they have a past together and misunderstandings take them both in different directions. After years they meet again and will they put the misunderstandings and hurt feelings behind them and can Matthew make amends? This is definitely a must read and to find out how they are doing.

I enjoyed this book as with all of Sam’s books. There was the re-introduction of old characters. The story can be read as a stand-alone but for this particular book, it would help to revisit some of the previous stories. It had a good plot with nice and relatable characters, who you cannot help but fall in love with. It was a bit steamy and had good moments and memories, which will stay with you. All in all, it is a good book which I recommend.
I loved this MC romance. I liked both characters, Luna and Matthew, and their story. This book had more of a second chance trope to it and there was some mystery and action as well. I figured out who the villain was pretty early but I really enjoyed the overall story about Matthew and Luna regardless. I can't wait to check out the previous stories in this series next.

This was a great conclusion to Matthew and Luna. They made mistakes and Matthew hurt Luna but he's kept watch in the shadows. Luna finally comes home and Matthew isn't going to let her get away again. Can they look towards a future together and let go of the hurts of the past? I enjoyed the story and highly recommend it.

Matthew broke Luna's heart when they were young. He had to push her away for her own good, but kept an eye on her from a distance. Luna had tried to move on from Matthew but no one else ever worked out as they were not him.
When she comes back to Vale Valley, Matt is not going miss his chance, there is no way he will be able to let her go again. Can these two get past their history and try again?.

Sam Crescent has another winner on her hands. This is Matthew and Luna's story. He screwed up his relationship with Luna by cheating on her. She was heartbroken. So, she up and left for college. He realizes what he's done and has to man up. He's now prospecting in his dad's MC. He's just waiting for his chance to win Luna back. She loves him but doesn't know if she can trust him. They were meant to be. HEA. A must read for anyone who's a fan of Sam Crescent's MC books.
This book was so worth the wait! We have waited years for Matthew and Luna's story and Sam didn't disappoint. Matthew screwed up bad and he knew and has wait3d yea4s to make it right. Finally Luna comes home so he takes his chance. Things are a miss in Vale Valley and The Trojans will stop at nothing to protect what is theirs!
While I am new to this author and this series, I have read many MC series. Matthew is the son of the MC club president and is surprisingly still a prospect. He and Luna have history from when they were teenagers. Both seem immature but kind hearted. Matthew's devotion to Luna is sweet but rides the border of criminal stalking. This is a fast, sweet story of a second chance romance.
The h was a spineless pathetic doormat despite her saying she wasn't, she spent the beginning of the book hating the H after what he did to her at school but years later she comes back to her hometown only to cook his favourite meal and then taking him back. Sorry but this book fell flat for me, where is the strong heroines?
The conclusion of Matthew and Luna is really great. Mistakes made in the past separated them, but as they grow up Matthew realized how bad he messes up. Luna made the ultimate sacrifice to be with Matthew, both knee it was time to put the past in the past and move forward. Well done author Sam Crescent, their story is really good.
