This is a very comprehensive, yet beginner-friendly book. I've been a student/client for quite a few years now, so some of the concepts are not new to me. However, I still find the descriptions in this book very helpful. Learning previously introduced concepts in different words helps deepen the learning for me.
For a newbie, all the essentials are here to give you a running start. It's written in a voice that's very human and easy to understand, not like reading the fine print before an electronic purchase at all. You can jump into this book without any prior knowledge of this emerging field called Energy Spirituality. If you would like more detail, Rose offers other books, workshops, a blog, and personal sessions.
This book presents information that is truly new about Enlightenment.
It's very different from what you'll find in other books about Enlightenment, books from the "Enlightenment Establishment" (an excellent term that Rosetree introduces in this book), books like the popular Eckhart Tolle books.
(I did like one of Eckhart Tolle's books back in the day, but it seemed very far away, distant... it didn't seem to really help me.)
The mind-blowing information in this book has really helped me to have a better life and a better relationship with God.
This carefully researched book takes the reader on a step by step journey to better understand how to grow personally and spiritually and get on the road to Enlightenment. It is full of practical information that helps us live a good life NOW.
In this book, Rose explores the fascinating subject of Enlightenment in easy to understand language which respects the reader’s intelligence without overcomplicating things plus adding a dash of humor here and there. She clears up many confusions about spirituality and Enlightenment bringing new understandings to how our everyday choices can either help us grow or sometimes, surprisingly, keep us from growing. No caves or hair shirts necessary.
This book is packed to the gills with accurate, up-to-date information about how spiritual evolution works now, years after the Shift into the Age Of Awakening in 2012.
Yes, the nature of spiritual evolution has changed recently, and yes, it is incredibly important for every spiritual seeker to know what those changes are.
This book will bring you up to speed.
Some of the things you will learn about are beautiful and sacred. Other things you will learn about may not be joyous in themselves - but you will learn how to protect yourself from such problems, and that can be wonderful in a different way.
If you seek growth, evolution, Enlightenment - this book will help you understand what you’re pursuing, and help you pursue it safely.
For sincere seekers, this book offers many wake-up calls for how to live in a way that can lead to Enlightenment.
It doesn’t follow old-and-tired trends, but breaks new ground and offers current understandings of consciousness and how to use it well.
How you define “spiritual” may change as you read this book. Some practices you thought were spiritual may actually show contempt for your human life and slow you down.
Conversely, some of the non-glamorous parts of life are really, really important and valuable for us spiritually. Taking out the trash being better for our spirituality than meditation!
Yes, there is a lot in this book to shake you out of old ways of thinking and living.
And so much to help you progress toward living your full potential.
I think this book does a good job of explaining 'energies.' And how after Dec 21, 2012 feeling energies was much easier due to the removal of the psychic barrier. Afterwards, people were able to choose how they want to pay attention to energies or in other words "position their consciousness." Some ways put you in touch with your human life, while others distance you from it, some support spiritual growth while others do not.
Personally, I prefer to live in reality and not energies. What I like about this book is it addresses an audience like me - spiritual but not religious. The information in this book makes navigating spiritual growth much more practical compared to other books on the same shelf in the book store.
I just finished this book and must say that it is packed with new knowledge and explanation on what is happening right now in the world. And it explains why some of your friends might have become weird lately and how to avoid that for yourself. The book is very well structured and very methodical in how it delivers new ideas and concepts. It clearly states what to do and not to do now to live your full potential. And living your full potential is really not complicated at all.
Just finished and I'm going to start it all over again. This is a POWERFUL book. So many outdated illusions busted. Such "High Truth Value," as the author names it. This really cuts through so much nonsense that is out there about "being spiritual" or how to grow spiritually. It's straightforward, clear, and easy to follow.
I first read this book when I was going through a challenging time and seeking to understand more about what enlightenment means in the Age of Awakening. I struggled to understand why traditional teachings of my youth and The Age of Faith did not line up with my experience and/or help me to grow as a human being facing real challenges and opportunities today. Rose is an unparalleled and exceptional teacher providing a wealth of information and guidance in this book. The importance of positioning consciousness at a human level and having technique time every day leads to real results. Gaining and maintaining enlightenment is an active process and our truth, choices and discernment matter for ourselves, those around us and our time in history.
This is a hard book for me to review, because there is so much amazing wisdom in this book. And I think I’ve only just scratched the surface on my first read. I will definitely be reading it again in the near future.
I was moved by the new, up-to-date information on what Enlightenment means now. I also found the chapters on the various consciousness lifestyles filled with compassion and insight.
As always, I found Rose Rosetree’s approach to be ethical - such an important factor in what I chose to read and do now.
I will update my review once I have read it again.
Highly Recommend! This book is a realistic description of Enlightenment in the 21st century. Specific recommendations of techniques for achieving Enlightenment are included. This is a must read book for anyone interested in growing and evolving into their best human self!
Rose has a very unique way of presenting her knowledge to her readers. I've read all of her books, and I learned something new every time I read them again. So I'm taking my time reading this book, and writing down my Aha!s that come up, and there is plenty of them.
For anyone interested in Spirituality and Enlightenment, this is an absolutely must read book! It provides so many practical examples that can be used in my daily life. For instance, the part where she points the different types of talk was a big eye opener for me. The fact that I know they even exist, helps me notice the way people talk more easily too. Now that I know better, I can do better and choose better for myself.
The program outlined here surprised me, but in a pleasant way. It really makes sense. And the more I think about it, and actually do what's outlined, the more it dawns on me that after reading this book, I am simply more in touch with reality than I have been for a long, long time.
Personally, I've been a spiritual seeker for decades. I read lots of books, took lots of classes, and studied with a few teachers. The one I took most seriously was non-duality, because non-duality is very serious, don't you know!
But after pursuing that path earnestly for several years, I realized that my life had become rather gray and the conversations I was having about life and spirituality were nothing new. The people around me were stuck in intellectual games that held no interest for me any longer. I thought I could do better in my relationship with God. Something inside me said it was time for more joy, more spontaneity, more in-the-moment exploration of life with God.
Non-duality has many teachers who might impress you with their intellectual whatevers. I'm not impressed anymore.
Rosetree has co-created a field that is impressing me greatly with it's purity, effectiveness, and helpfulness for genuine spiritual seekers. I would sit up and take notice. This book is a gem.
These days with something as groundbreaking and monumental as the publication of Rose Rosetree’s Seeking Enlightenment in the Age of Awakening, you might expect flurries of announcements on your phone, courtesy of social media blasts, newspaper headlines, interviews on late night talk shows, and more to get your attention. Yet, this mighty volume, which has quietly and powerfully entered the scene without fanfare, epitomizes true treasure in today’s ever-growing sea of spirituality and self-help books. You would be remiss not to take note of this revolutionary tour de force.
Seeking Enlightenment in the Age of Awakening is the first book ever published to talk about how human consciousness has changed in the dawn of a new age and what the implications are for seeking self-actualization. Rose Rosetree, the visionary founder of Energy Spirituality™, is the first person to discover Chakra Databanks and develop Stage 3 Energetic Literacy with the ability to read auras in fine detail. The cutting-edge discoveries in this book are combined with in-depth research on auras.
Further, in a mere 360 pages, Rosetree illuminates a simple, effective path on which anyone can reach their full potential in life. No, this isn’t some trendy self-help book riding on the waves of feel-good fads. This book is the real deal, as Rosetree, herself in Spiritual Enlightenment, is an Enlightenment teacher with a track record of helping students attain Enlightenment. Read the accounts of her students in Age of Awakening Enlightenment at the end of the book or check out her students’ Enlightenment validations at her blog, Deeper Perception Made Practical.
Rosetree writes with astonishing lightning clarity, cutting through today’s popular illusions. In her powerful yet tender tone, she addresses the reader throughout the book as “Smart Spiritual Seeker.” For she writes with the understanding of what it means to be Homesick for Heaven. This is a book that is focused on getting readers onto the path to Enlightenment, a practical program that doesn’t get lost in theories or abstractions. Nor is anything watered down. Everything Rosetree writes is clear, purposeful, and aimed at educating the reader in understanding the what, the goal of spiritual seekers today, and the how, the steps to get there.
Divided into three parts, Seeking Enlightenment in the Age of Awakening reads like a three-act play. Rosetree begins by presenting a modern-day mystery, setting up the reader with foundational knowledge, then raises the stakes throughout the book, guiding the reader through a labyrinth of complex concepts, until the truth begins to dawn from within the reader. Rosetree’s skill as a master teacher lies in her pacing and language. Not only is she able to articulate the most abstract concepts with absolute clarity, but she does so with humor, while building understanding systematically, in digestible chunks. The book logically flows from one concept to the next, effortlessly lighting up the reader’s understanding.
This how-to will help readers make sense of these early years of the Age of Awakening, which began on December 21, 2012. Rosetree’s “Program for Spiritual Enlightenment” in this book is designed to awaken, educate, and guide the reader toward using full potential in life.
The leading-edge ideas and their practical application could serve as a welcome game changer for today’s seekers of spiritual awakening, self-actualization, and more.
I love reading Rose’s books, it’s like I am eating food for the soul; they are so nourishing, educational, and inspiring.
Seeking Enlightenment in the Age of Awakening is an amazing book packed full of information; I’m definitely going to be reading this book again to make notes and highlight the parts I find most interesting.
Part 2 of the book is where a lot of illusion smashing was taking place; I found it eye opening; it is a powerful book. I found it very interesting and illuminating to read about the consequences of positioning consciousness to the different kinds of astral vibrational frequencies.
I also found it inspiring to read the stories of people that are living in Age of Awakening Enlightenment. Every experience is so different, so personal, and so human.
I am thankful to have been reading the most updated information for seeking Enlightenment in the Age of Awakening.
Are you someone who has caught themselves noticing energies? Is it just a coincidence, that this may have begun only in the last decade or so of your life? Perhaps there is an explanation, or an answer, that you haven't heard of yet. If you are curious to learn, then I can't recommend this book enough to you!
In Rose's newest book, Seeking Enlightenment in the Age of Awakening, Rose brings to light new ideas that are now more important than ever to grasp due to Earths recent transition into the Age of Awakening, beginning on December 21st 2012.
Not only will you learn about Rose's explanation of what the Age of Awakening is, you will gain an education that may help empower your life, specific to this new time on Earth we live in. Rose teaches a whole new way on how we think about energies, and how we come across this topic in our every day lives. This is very much unlike any New Age teaching you can find anywhere else on the internet today. If you are ready for something different, something that works, then this is the book you have been waiting for!
While some people may find this book helpful, I find it to be a strange, idiosyncratic and even a bit goofy. The author keeps telling the reader that she is going to give you her unique tools for reaching enlightenment, but after 100 pages I have yet to read anything that isn’t covered better and more directly by other authors. I keep turning the pages expecting to learn more but it starts to become tedious after a while, partly because of the tone which seems aimed at a middle schooler. There is a kind of spiritual narcissism running through all of it as she broadly dismisses the work of other spiritual teachers and entire traditions that have helped people develop spiritually and move toward enlightenment. For example, she lumps together Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, Greek temple spirituality and Shamanism as part of the prior “Age of Faith” that is no longer relevant to today’s spiritual seeker. Among these, Buddhism, shamanism and Greek temple rites, in particular, were and are based on experience not on faith. So too is Kabbalah and esoteric forms of Christianity. While she dismisses the Age of Faith, at the same time asks us to accept that December 21, 2012, the end date of the Mayan Long Count, ushered in a fundamental shift in the possibilities for human consciousness. This may be the case, but she expects us to take this as a matter of faith and/or her authority.
She also indicates that those born in previous generations were limited in their ability to advance toward enlightenment because of a cultural “circuit breaker” that now has been lifted. It seems like she hasn’t done her homework or else has decided to ignore the works of individuals like Emmanuel Swedenborg or Rudolf Steiner, the great Sufi poets or enlightened teachers of Eastern traditions. I would also point out that the modern world's prevailing materialism and technological preoccupation itself has become a circuit breaker for many.
Perhaps I have missed something here that others seemed to have found. I accept that as a possibility given the lauding reviews. One book that I resonated with more strongly is The Leap by Steven Taylor.
After the immense help I received from Rose's book "Empath Empowerment in 30 Days" I knew I needed to read more from her. Prior to that book I did not believe in God, I had been an agnostic. Once I was convinced of his existence, I began seeking spiritual information anywhere I could and I believed I was learning so much, so quickly. Boy was I wrong. I began reading this book and it saved me from the dark path I was going down.
In this modern age of awakening, only one author seems to know the truth, and that author is Rose Rosetree. I will be honest, I think this is going to be a difficult read for many people. Not because it is a complicated book, far from it as Rose has a beautiful way of conveying important information in a very conversational way, but because it will open your eyes to potential addictions you never knew you had or even knew existed.
But fear not as there is a lot of good news in here as well. Should you find yourself in an addiction you will also find incredible information and practical skills for how to leave that addiction behind and to move towards enlightenment. And if you are already on a path towards enlightmentment Rose can help you get there faster while protecting yourself from falling into addiction.
I cannot stress enough how critical of a read this book is. I say this as a degreed librarian, it should be in every public library and taught in every school. Since it is not, do yourself a favor, buy this book, and slowly read every single word within. I know you can do it and I bet Rose does too. To use one of my favorite terms from Rose, best of luck "brave explorer."
Though I am still reading through this, I can highly recommend this book to those people who are interested in their human lives and want to grow rapidly, Spiritually. Whilst most books on this topic (Enlightenment) may take you down a sideways and potentially ineffective path, Rose has written a book full of leading, cutting edge information that serves as a handbook for maximising your potential as a human being, and strengthening one's connection with the Divine. Thank you for this book, Rose. Five Stars
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. Seeking Enlightenment in the Age of Awakening offers a serene and enlightening exploration of mindfulness, energy, and self-discovery. With practical guidance and spiritual wisdom, it’s a perfect read for anyone looking to deepen their practice, enhance their well-being, and connect with their inner self.
This book brings about new understandings of consciousness. Growth seekers may find this perspective different and worth taking the time to read this one slowly.
This is my all-time favourite book for spiritual growth. I love how simple the program itself is- there's nothing you need to buy, no flashy experiences you need to have. It just works.
Rosetree unspools a novel but digestible schema that explains why the world seems different, radically so, the last decade.
I mean come on, we’ve all noticed it. What the heck has been going on lately? The author puts forth a cogent and plausible system to help readers piece the puzzle together: it all comes down to consciousness.
Lots of people are vibing out, definitely. But is that a good thing? All this energy talk… what does it really mean? More pertinently, how can a wise seeker take advantage of this new reality, gain spiritual street smarts, and keep growing, ever closer to the Divine?
Chalk full of mind boggling anecdotes and compelling teaching tales, this book shines for its practical lessons relevant to those “spiritual but not religious” folks unfulfilled with current mainstream offerings.
If you wanna take a leap forward on your path, give this one a shot.
I am currently reading this book. I found out about it at Rose Rosetree's blog from the website of the same name. I am enjoying it so far: it is helping me understand what is involved in seeking enlightenment ~ especially since the Age of Awakening.
Update: learning about the three categories of Consciousness Positioning is supporting my discernment in what is 1) Human 2) Astral and 3) Divine.
