Why did those 53 pages feel like an entire novel, this was soo good!!!

This is a good short novella. Of course as the title says it is about a vampire king and a human woman. You have some horror that comes along with vampires and of course blood drinking. There is a good amount of spice especially considering how short it is. It’s a good quick read especially in between longer books.

This could've been so much hotter... The smut was predictable and boring though tge horror elements were on point 😬
Also that scene where humans enter the great hall and everything is quiet and ethereal, a slight chance of hope building up...and then the word "feast" is uttered and chaos of blood and gore descends? Masterful 👌

super impressed by this! in just 53 pages, this novella managed to tell a whole story that was both dark and spicy. i didn’t expect this novella to be so enjoyable! i wish this book was longer 😭

She knows that no one survives the vampires’ feasting, but her feisty, fiery nature and beauty lead to an offer from Uriel…death, or a night of pleasure and death. Asteria opts for the release of her dark side that Uriel can provide. Ultra-hot and steamy action with lots of blood – some pain, some blood, some pleasure, some blood, and keep repeating. Uriel is not a sweet Twilight kind of vamp – he brings the fangs, claws, wings, bloodletting, and special equipment. Asteria stands apart from all the other tributes. This was such a decadently dark read, I absolutely loved it. This was my first book by Violet Taylor, and didn’t know what to expect, so I was pleasantly surprised.
Asteria is one of 50 women who are being offered as tribute to the Vampire King by a local village. Unlike the women she is surrounded by, she is not going into this simpering and crying. She knows she faces death, but intends to take down a few vampires on her way.
Uriel, the Vampire King, is interested in Asteria because she isn’t cowering in fear like the rest of the women. He decides he wants her for the night and offers her immediate death, or immense pleasure followed by death.
The steam levels were off the charts, and it was dirty and depraved in the best possible ways! Loved that Uriel was a true monster, and that Asteria was a match for that.

Okay, so I know this is fiction. Right? Right …. However, Uriel is magnificent; the ultimate book boyfriend! Asteria? She is the epitome of a strong heroine that has zero F’s to give for enjoying what she wants, and what she wants is Uriel! While this book was short it packed a big punch! I really enjoyed this!

Pleasure? Or death? Honestly I would let Uriel do either one!This book is fast paced and ultra steamy!! I would love to read more stories about this couple in the future. And I want wings, so bad. This author has made me fall in love with monster romance.

Bueno, hablemos de este libro, me gusto mucho, lo disfrute mientras lo leía, estuvo corto y fácil de leer, me gusto la dinámica de poder de Uriel y el trato ese, me recordó mucho al libro de Orpheus, ya que el también tenía un trato de 10 años con los humanos. Empecemos hablando de los personajes, me gusto mucho Asteria, se me hizo una chica valiente, capaz, orgullosa, temeraria, que sabía que si iba a morir lo iba hacer con la frente en alto, cabe aclarar que no tengo nada en contra con los otros tributos que tenían miedo y lloraban, yo sería así si estuviera en esa situación, pero hay que reconocer que los ovarios que tenía Asteria fueron los que la hicieron destacar, aparte de su belleza claro está e hizo que Uriel se fijara en ella. Ahora, hablemos de Uriel, se me hizo guapo, aunque quería que diera las vibes de Edward Cullen y no lo logro :( más bien dio la vibe de un Volturi JAUAJAJAJJA, pero bueh. Continuando, se me hizo muy hot Uriel y la personalidad toda intensa y monstruosa estuvo on point.
Por otra parte, la trama estuvo buena, me hubiera gustado que en el próximo sacrificio hayan llevado sacerdotes, esos sí merecen morir (ojalá mi abuela no lea esto, abue que no soy atea JAUAJAJAJJA), porque man esas personas cobardes que se esconden tras la religión y hacen esos actos atroces, merecen morir, en fin, me gusto mucho el castillo todo tenebroso y oscuro, 10 de 10, me encantó que estos vampiros tuvieran alas, se me hace muy fantasioso y majestuoso a la vez y me gusto mucho que Uriel haya convertido a Asteria en su reina, siento que son el perfecto match.
Para finalizar, espero que lo lean y lo disfruten como yo gente, bais :D

This is my second read from Violet Taylor's monster romance series, and I don't think I blinked the entire time I was reading it. A shunned woman who has accepted her fate and a Vampire King who has long forgotten his humanity. Throw in some blood, sp!ce and a good sl@ughter fest and you have the makings of a beautiful whirlwind monster romance.
This story follows Asteria, one of the 50 chosen female sacrifices that are to be given to the Vampire King. Dressed in all white, deemed the most beautiful, she is herded into the chariots with the other human women and couriered to the palace. Although she has accepted her fate, she is determined to not go down without a fight. When the chaos ensues, the screaming starts and blood flies, she does not cry, does not run... she stands and fights. In doing so, she catches the attention of the Vampire King himself. He whisks her away to his chambers and offers her a night of pleasure or a night of death... she will die either way, but its her choice in the manner of it.
Phew, this story might be brief, but it is masterfully written, easy to read and powerfully captivating. I strongly recommend checking triggers prior to indulging as this is a VERY dark, gore filled, sp!cy romance. I absolutely devoured this story, and Violet Taylor will forever be one of my auto-buy authors.

This quick spicy read doesn't disappoint in any shape or fashion! With The Kings Feast that comes around every ten years, comes the 50 women they sacrifice to keep the Kings hunting to a minimum and protect their village. This year is different, though, as one badass FMC decides to fight till the very end staking vampires in her wake. Until She's the final girl left. Just when she thinks it's over, the Vampire King stakes his claim on her as his! He gives her a choice, pleasure, or death. As she's immediately drawn to him, she chooses to spend her last few hours of pleasure with a king who is massive, has wings, claws, a ribbed member, and a forked snake tongue! As they devour each other in blood and upside down bliss, he keeps his promise to take her life, but could he let her go?

Great Dark Vampire Story
This was a great short vampire tale.
Every 10 years there is a reaping of the towns people to be handed over to the vampire king. This is the deal that has been made for hundreds of years. The vampire king and his subjects don’t touch the local people but for this one night of sacrifice.
The FMC Astoria is just unlucky that her time has come, she isn’t ready to die, especially not as a lamb to slaughter. She can’t believe her eyes as she sees the carnage in front of her and she refuses to go down without a fight. What she didn’t expect to happen was to catch the eye of the vampire king himself and somehow be saved from the slaughter but is that better or worse to now be the entertainment for the king himself. Worse so when her body reacts to him in ways that isn’t just running and screaming.
This was a great book, dark, spicy and a little bit wrong. What more could you want

Every 10 years the villagers gather 50 women as an offering to the Vampire king.
My favorite part of this book was the vampire is not like we are used. His skin is semi-translucent with spidery blue veins and he has wings!
It’s a short story with 6 chapters and Epilogue. It was a quick and fun read when my cat wasn’t trying to eat my bookmark. If you are looking for plot this is not the book for you. If you are looking for a quick just spice monster story then yes!

I'm gonna start off by saying I've NEVER read anything vampire related or horror related but LET ME TELL YOU!!! I'm now a vampire girl 🥴 I loved this story, it was a great short read. I felt it had a lot of missed potential but honestly it was a great read! I'm not huge on horror movies/ books so I was shocked at how much I enjoyed the horror side of this book!
When I finished this book I sat down and looked at myself in the mirror and just kept thinking what has happened to you 😂😂

Feast of the Vampire King by Violet Taylor is an absolute page-turner from start to finish. I was completely drawn into the story’s dark, seductive atmosphere and couldn’t look away. The most shocking part is that the entire book unfolds over the course of a single night—something that makes every scene feel intense and urgent. The pacing is brilliant, the tension builds perfectly, and just when I thought I had everything figured out, the plot twist left me speechless. Violet Taylor has crafted a story that’s both thrilling and unforgettable.

If you want a short, spicy and well written story, look no further. I read this one when I was in a reading slump, trying to pick which series to dive into next is always a struggle. This book was a great buffer.
I feel like if the author really wanted to, she could absolutely make this short into a much bigger story. There is so much I would have loved the author to get into more.

This is a very short story, so a quick and easy read. I love vampire stories and am a big smut fan, but I found myself wanting more with this. I didn’t really feel connected with either character, probably due to it being so short. The smut was just ok… there’s so much that could have been done with the tongue and just keeping her alive by giving her blood since that was supposed to heighten things, but it felt lackluster.
