Beautiful small town romance with lovely characters
Starting where the first book left off, this book focuses on Katie and Miles. Aiden and E, from the previous story come here too, but their romance is not a part of this story.
Miles as the fireman is cute and strong. But he just does not know why Katie broke up with him, hates him and she would not tell him why too.
Katie is bordering on severe depression and the story starts with her hating Miles.
The story moves along as Katie's girl friends know the reason for her behaviour, but they are unwilling to tell Miles about it, because it is Katie's secret to tell.
And the secret is not something easy to digest either.
In between, there is also some misunderstanding thrown in, by Brittany, in the form of Tara.
Would Miles and Katie get together inspite of all this?
Because to help the couple are the friends of the two people - Aiden and Spencer for Miles and E, and Sammie for Katie.
E's pregnancy also brings in many events, which bring the couple together. But even when they are together would they find the courage to actually talk and know the reason and forgive each other?
The romance part is sweet. As the exhausted fireman, who is still willing to meet his lover with coffee when she offers a chance to get to know him better, Miles was a very delightful character.
Katie is fighting depression with her friends' help and her opening up to Miles was also very well brought out.
In the end of the book, Katie's mistake by going to the wrong house made me laugh.
The story was about romance, with many small-town characters thrown around in small and sweet incidents, peppered with the lead characters trying to rebuild their trust for each other.

Miles and Katie !!
What an engaging and addicting story. I even went back and read the first book in the series!
What I loved about this book was the simple reality of the life in Hayden Falls. Miles and Katie come across as believable individuals complete with flaws. They get jealous, keep secrets and ultimately overcome obstacles. And who doesn’t love reading about a handsome fireman and his tender side. Looking forward to the next installment!

Wow! Miles Hamilton... what a firefighter! I loved him! His and Katie's story is sad, but thank goodness they got a second chance. I needed tissues a few times. I want his house on the lake!!! Can't wait for the next book.

I love this book!! Miles Hamilton is amazing! I felt bad he didn't know what ended him and Katie years ago. And that was heartbreaking. I'm so glad they worked together and found their Happily Ever After! Can't wait for more of this series.

Oh, I love this series!! Miles and Katie are such a great couple. This is one of the best second-chance romances I've read. A secret love turned to enemies, with only one of them knowing why. It takes a lot for Miles to figure everything out, but he's got a big heart. I love handsome firefighters! I highly recommend this book!

An enjoyable read
I enjoy reading small-town love story. This one is no exception. Miles and Katie are two adorable characters.
Maybe it’s the author’s unique writing style. At times I found it perplexing to navigate between the use of present and past tenses. Some examples are shown below:
“I so won that. He thinks differently though.”
“Springing from my chair, I followed after her. Before Katie reaches the square, I grab her…”
“Knowing… settled me a lot. We a;; will pitch in to make…”
Overall, this was an easy and enjoyable read.

Once again, Debbie's sweet romance didn't disappoint.
Katie won me over with her spunk and Miles with his persistence and their dedication to each other as a couple, through bad and good, sealed the deal.
She did a great job discussing a sensitive topic and I especially appreciate her approach to depression, which was started in Forever Mine (book one of this series). She fights the stigma and shows that not only is it okay to get help, we SHOULD get help if we're struggling with depression--even if it's just for a few weeks.
Rereadable: yes

I don't know when the last time I cried like that was. The subject matter that causes the tension between Miles and Katie was very hard because I realized I went through it like Katie did. I never processed it and holy cow was that eye opening. I loved it! Yes it was triggering but it was beautifully written and helped me heal a little. I did not have the support Katie does, and I am so glad that there are characters around her that love her and help her.
Debbie Hyde can write romance! These clean country romance novels are sucking me into this town of Hayden Falls! I love the back ground stories happening and how each of these books is fitting into a larger puzzle. I cannot wait to read more...and see who some people will end up with.

Absolutely amazing
I struggled to place this book down when I had to as it was a real page turner. I kept thinking about the characters and wanted to know what would happen next in their story. I fell in love with these characters and loved reading how they rekindled their love. Definitely going to read the rest of this series once I've got through my TBR list. This series so far has been great.

Can a lost Love finds its way back again?
There are not enough words that I can use to describe this book. It is heart and soul, just beautiful. This book will touch home for alot of people, I know it did for me. A lost love, lies of one person causing so much heartache. With the help of loving friends can they find their way back? Read and find out. I highly recommend this book!

A nice romance novel
A great romance story about Miles and Katie. I enjoy a good ending and this one was beautiful. The characters were interesting to learn about. It has a sweetness to it and you feel for them even in their sadness. The friends are so close that they are called family.

Sweet!
This series is so sweet and I feel for the characters. A couple I wanted to make pay, a couple I wanted to yell at, and I wanted to scream at a few. Miles and Katie are probably my favorite match of all Debbie's series so far. And can we talk about Mags "dog"? Hope to learn more about that later. Excellent!

Another hit by Debbie Hyde!
The Hayden Falls series never fails to come through with charm, love, and good endings. Even though I had a hard time keeping the plethora of characters straight, it was still a lovely story and I highly recommend it!

Love this book.A beautiful love story that held my attention from start to finish.Miles and Katie were both hurting but their love for each other brought them back together.I definitely recommend this book to anyone .
