From bestselling author Buck Turner comes Losing Adam, a stirring tale about the masks we wear, and the consequences that come from revealing our true selves.
Seventeen-year-old Eden Shaw is at the end of her rope—literally. Since losing her boyfriend, Adam, in a school shooting the previous winter, Eden has tried everything—counselors, shrinks, even the local pastor—to free herself from the darkness that pervades every nook and cranny of her being. But after months of fighting a losing battle, she is convinced the only way out is by ending it all.
With her mind made up, Eden climbs to the top of the high school football stadium, where she plans to jump. But before she takes flight, a young man named Logan James appears and pulls Eden back from the edge of the abyss. Despite their inauspicious start—and the fact that Eden finds him frustratingly obnoxious—a friendship soon develops, and eventually, they fall in love.
But just as the pieces to Eden's life appear to be falling into place, she discovers Logan is harboring a secret that threatens to tear them apart. To atone for the sins of revealing his true identity, Logan is forced by the higher power that employs him to present Eden with an offer she can’t refuse. If she accepts, her beloved Adam will return. There's only one Logan, and every memory Eden has of her time with him, will vanish.
Faced with a heartbreaking decision, Eden weighs her new love against the love that was stolen from her.

I feel like I stepped back in time on all the christian books that I used to get from the family book store via my dad when I was a preteen-decent enough but needs a little bit more, cause it was almost too goodygood. I don't 100% know if this was a religious book or just a fictional book.
I think this book started out really strong but started veering off, there was a lot of loose ends at the end, they mentioned some bad guy or reason for assignments to be in that town but never addressed it again, the ending left me with more questions than anything- like what happened in the meantime, how did we go from there to there? the last chapter felt too rushed.
The relationship between logan and claire left a bad taste in my mouth, cause they take a break after he has all these feelings then all the sudden he has all these feelings for the main character. I just never got the feeling of true love. The beginning I got her strong feelings of despair and grief, but then all emotions stepped out of the building after that, it was kind of monotone the rest of the book.
It was an okay book, I think it needed a little bit more of emotion, a little bit more loose ends tied up, and just a little bit more.
Not really what I expected the book to be. I expected this to be a story more about a girl who's high school boyfriend dies and the depths of her despair, recovery and her present time coping with the death and the reasons behind it. This really didnt touch on or tell in depth of the murder. It , to me was more of a book about how girl loses boy, boy finds girl. The added storyline of the "angels" was non believable to me and a little far fetched. That is when I became less interested in the rest of the book but wanted to finish it. There could of been more written about Adam before he passed and the relationship between him and Eden. The "angel" aspect of the book took over and was really non believable to myself. I wish that the book went in another direction than it did.
I've read all of Buck Turner's more recent releases, and I'm anxiously waiting to read more. Although I feel this is not my favorite, it is definitely well worth the read. His style, suspense, and belief in the power of lasting love, something that took me years to find, make this a very enjoyable read. Perfect for. young adults. I suggest you read them all!
I think all ages will enjoy this book although at first glance it seems like a young adults story. My only complaint is that it wrapped up too quickly at the end. It felt too easy and the time frame didn't make sense. I would have preferred the two people found each other after college. Can't say more without being a spoiler.
An amazing, beautifully written and sensitive book. If you believe in angels, this is a must read book. I left a lot of work undone as I continued reading from beginning to end. However, I'm now frustrated. Is there a book 2? I cannot find it on Kindle. Help!
I enjoyed reading this book. A great story filled with love and hope. The relationship between !organ and Eden was a test of love, faith and endurance. Nothing is impossible if you follow your heart. Praying for guidance will help you find the right path. Don't be afraid to love and believe what your heart tells you. A beautifully written love story.
Although there was emotional sadness in this book it is a part of life. This was a hard book to put down. The characters were very interesting and fun. The love shared in the book was a honest devotion. I enjoyed this book from start to finish.
I liked the book but my only complaint is that it did wrap up too quickly in my opinion. It was also a bit religious. Overall I thought this book was a good read and would recommend it to my friends.
