A Holiday M/M/M Romance

Everyone has secrets. I’ve kept some big ones from my two best friends, and I know they’ve got a few of their own. After all, Embry and Adam never told me why they stopped talking to each other the night we graduated college. For my part, I’ve never told them that I’m bi—or that I’ve been in love with both of them for years. I’m also definitely not telling them I’ve mismanaged my family’s tree farm so badly that it’s about to go out of business right before Christmas.

But when I crash off a ladder hanging up holiday lights and break my wrist, they come running like Santa’s elves. They’re both very grumpy about seeing each other again, but I can’t be sorry to finally have an excuse to get them in the same place. Wait until they find out we’re all sleeping in one bed…

At least their feud is put on hold when they discover what a mess I’ve made of my business. Soon the three of us are scrambling to pull off a Christmas miracle and save the farm. And maybe it’s the magic of the holidays, but a whole lot of feelings and long-buried truths are coming to the surface—and our friendship is starting to become something much bigger.

Will we survive the season? Or are all my dreams about to be crushed this Christmas?

ILYBSM is a sweet and steamy contemporary holiday m/m/m polyamorous romance about three former best friends. It stars Jeb, a sweetly oblivious farmer who’s the hottest mess to ever grow trees in Vermont; Embry, a mechanic who can fix any engine but not a relationship; and Adam, a graphic designer and organizational whiz who irons his sheets. It features truths that slip out thanks to homemade eggnog, a demon goat who looks fabulous in a Santa hat, and an unconventional happy ever after.

ILYBSM: I Love You Both So Much is a stand alone, MMM, holiday romance by J.E. Birk, Rachel Ember, and Leslie McAdam. I’ve not read anything by any of these authors before. I fell in love with the cover and after reading the blurb, knew I had to read this one. Let me introduce you to these three men.

Jeb Stock is sort of the center of this story. All three men are about twenty four years old, three years out of college. Since graduation, Jeb went home to Vermont to help run his parents’ Christmas Tree Farm, Stock Tree Farm. His parents were anxious to finally retire and travel so they signed the farm over to Jeb. Honestly, running the farm really was too much for just one person but Jeb was determined not to ask for help. And things haven’t gone well. Financially he’s in a mess. And with accidents both out of his control (mother nature) and accidents that he could have avoided (hanging Christmas Lights alone) he now finds himself with a broken arm just a few days before the opening of their season. There are only two people he would consider asking for help, his two college best friends. The problem is, they aren’t currently speaking to one another.

Adam O’Connor now lives in California. He is a successful graphic designer. He is a bit of a compulsive organizer. He always dresses professionally and is known to iron his underwear! He has stayed close with Jeb but he and Embry haven’t spoken since graduation.

Embry Matthews lives a few hours from Jeb. He is a mechanic. He can fix just about anything but can’t seem to hold on to a job. As soon as Jeb calls, he packs a quick bag and jumps in the car. There’s nothing he won’t do for his closest friend.

As close as these men are, they have all kept a huge secret from each other. Well, two of them, actually. One is that they are all secretly in love with the other two men. Jeb has been in the middle of Embry and Adam’s feud for the past three years and it’s been hard on him. He needs his two closest friends and sees this as an opportunity to finally get them to form a truce. Neither Adam or Embry know how bad things are on Jeb’s farm and he needs them more than ever to try to have a successful season this year.

These three were so cute together. Jeb was so clueless about so many things. No matter what, though, the bond between these three held firm and finally, truths are revealed. Truths that lead to some very sexy experimenting. But Jeb needs to learn to accept help, Adam needs to let go of his need to control everything, and Embry needs to control his temper. Together, these three balance each other out. They all need to figure out just what they really want, what they want their futures to look like, and to decide what is most important.

Get ready to fan yourselves because these three most definitely generate plenty of heat. This was a fun, quirky little community and I especially enjoyed meeting Zeke and Dougie. It sure sounds like there is plenty there for another story! I hope so!

I was very excited to read this and while the pacing is relatively slow and the storyline nothing out of the ordinary (despite it being a polyam romance) it was an enjoyable holiday read with three best-friends-to-lovers. ♡

I recommend reading it if you like:

* :•☆ best friends to lovers

* :•☆ first times and exploration

* :•☆ joined efforts to save a business

* :•☆ holiday vibes on a farm with a lot of snow

* :•☆ lovable, a bit dorky main characters and a sweet sweet HEA for three

… or plain and simple, a Hallmark movie plus a lot of steam.

side note: I love that the main characters’s are the namesakes of all three authors. Sweet.

My comments:

1. I mean… I’m pretty sure Jeb, Embry, and Adam were dating in college but they didn’t know it. But ILYBSM is when they finally got together and admitted their feelings. In that order.

2. Paperback is live and has Sherbert illustrations by my sister in law.

3. This book was not planned. We did it for the love of it. It just … happened. It was a joy. We’re happy to share it with you.

4. We’re working on (playing with) Doug’s (and Zeke’s and Max’s) book. Heh. Doug = no swearing and Zeke = only swearing and Max = sunshine twink.

What a wonderfully developed MMM romance

This is one of the most organic throuple relationships I think I've ever read.

While there are obvious tension points and it's not a completely smooth process, I never felt like it wasn't a totally equal partnership between the three men.

Jeb is the happy and somewhat naive puppy-like farmer at the centre of the story, but he's not simply a surface only character.

There's things going on deep down inside him and with the farm which help to anchor the plot and stop it being all too easy.

Adam and Embry, on the other hand, both have complexities from the off which bring challenges not only to their dealings with each other, but also how they act with Jeb.

I'm not sure how the triplet authors wrote this one, but if they each took a character on and wrote only them, they've all beautifully manipulated those threads into this cohesive whole.

With a very strong sense of place, as well as a fully rounded out bunch of secondary characters, this series has set off with fireworks blazing bright!

The sex is beyond hot, heading into the stratosphere, but just as pleasing are all the small moments of kindness each man gives the others.

I'm now dying for book two!

I like the three Rachel Ember ranch books I've read, but that doesn't translate to this co-written effort -- this was bad, y'all. Hallmark Christmas movie bullshit, basic AF with paper-thin characters, nearly identical POVs, contrived conflicts, and so transparently setting up the next book I felt like I was reading ad copy. Shoulda DNF'ed but, I dunno, inertia? Being too lazy to DNF is pretty much peak lazy.

Two-starring because FINE THE SEX SCENES WERE HOT, SHUT UP.

4 loved it stars!! 😍🤩 This was a hot & steamy holiday romance between 3 college friends who don’t realize what they mean to each other till one of them is in trouble and the other two rush to his aid. ❤️❤️
Embry, Jeb and Adam make one hot sandwich!! 🔥🔥 But can they resolve their differences to see what’s in front of them? Can Embry and Adam save Jeb’s business and farm or will this be their last Christmas in Vermont?
This is a low-angst ménage romance for the holidays with some great supporting characters, a menagerie of animals including a demonic goat 🐐 and plenty of heat 🔥🔥😍to keep you warm this winter 😉 Highly recommended to all fans of MMM romances! 👍🏻👍🏻

I absolutely swooned over this book and couldn’t put it down. The characters jump off the page right from the very start.

It’s about three best friends/old roommates from college who, three years later, each have their own lives. Two don’t of them no longer speak because of something that happened at graduation. But when one of them needs help and the other two show up to offer assistance, bridges are mended and secrets are revealed.

Was this a perfect book? No. The reason two of them didn’t speak for three years after graduation was thin at best, and these guys are terrible at talking to each other about their feelings. Plus, all of the solutions the guys came up with to help save the farm from financial ruin would’ve cost money, so I’m not sure how they actually made a profit. But I loved all three of these characters and how they came together. I loved the relationships between each of them. I loved the banter and the character development and the story. The writing was engaging and had me alternately laughing or swooning or crying. It was sweet and funny and sexy, and the demon goat provided tons of humour. Highly recommend.

This was a sweet and sexy holiday romance about three best friends who’ve been oblivious to how much they love each other for years. All of their desires and insecurities come to a head when the two friends who became estranged reunite to help their third friend, the absolutely precious Jeb, save his struggling farm. While this sounds like it sets the stage for some angst, the story had very little angst. In fact, I actually wish there had been a little more, especially between Embry and Adam, the two friends who had a falling out years ago. Nevertheless, it was clear how much they adored each other. While the story mostly takes place in the present, there are text conversations throughout between all three from their time in college. Those conversations were cute and hilarious, and it becomes obvious that they were all kind of dating each other already without even knowing it. Their relationship progression felt natural, and they were an easy trio to root for. On another note, there was also a bizarre but endearing goat at the farm, who almost stole the show at times.

LISTEN .. First of all, there’s a Sherbert who almost stole the show, THEN, there’s snarky, fun, cute AF, text chains AND delicious sexy MMM action AND a cute as all get out story. I mean I don’t even know what to do with all the happiness inside of me over this story!

Okay, so here’s the gist without details. These three kids were thick as thieves all thru their college days. Then this thing happens and BAM, 7 years later aaaand let the games begin! Okay, more stuff happens but I’m not telling you any of that because you need to experience this story like I did. It is glorious fun and delicious fire, pun intended *wink* lol

If you’re looking for an easy peasy holiday story that will melt your heart and your panties while you cry laugh thru almost the entire thing … you know what to do :)

Listen, I'm a simple guy. It's December, and you tell me there's a holiday queer male throuple romance set on a failing Vermont Christmas tree farm between three absolute and unfettered morons who share both one bed and one brain cell, and it just had a sequel come out a couple days ago, and I'm GONNA snatch it up and start reading it immediately and finish it in one night. Truly, I was powerless to handle it any other way.

Now was it a STELLAR holiday queer male throuple romance set on a failing Vermont Christmas tree farm between three absolute and unfettered morons who share both one bed and one brain cell? Debatable, the initial conflict is kinda ridiculous to be worth not interacting for three years, Adam and Embry really didn't have any kind of revelation or resolution to their issues with interacting with each other without fighting, despite their having issues being like 50% of the book, and way too much focus was put on a rude goat for an animal that never provided more to the plot than ambiance.

But was it a spectacularly enjoyable holiday queer male throuple romance set on a failing Vermont Christmas tree farm between three absolute and unfettered morons who share both one bed and one brain cell, did I tear up when they inevitably got to say they love each other, and did I already grab the sequel to read the fuck out of tomorrow? Believe it!! The spice was solid, the story flows well, the idiots were idioting, and I am fully invested in the next grouping.

ILYBSM is a MMM written by three fantastic authors. I loved how it started with a text conversation! ILYBSM is a fun holiday read. Embry, Jeb and Adam are college friends that progress and develop into more. Life happens and they’re not as close as they once were. Adam and Embry are now not getting along, and Jeb is stuck in the middle. When Jeb has an accident, he contacts his two friends, hopped up on pain meds. These three were so steamy with fantastic chemistry. I was so glad when they finally got together. Overall, a great read that kept me engaged and entertained. Well written with pacing that hooked me.

When I found out that JE Birk, Rachel Ember, AND Leslie McAdam were writing an MMM holiday book together…well, I may have squealed and done a bit of a happy dance! I mean really, it’s a reader's dream!

I don’t read a ton of MMM, but largely because it isn’t common, but I really do love a good throuple.

Navigating a relationship isn’t easy at the best of times, but when it’s three people, that’s a lot of personalities, feelings, and needs to navigate.

Jeb, Embry, and Adam (wonder where those names come from LOL), became tight the moment they met at college. They were all straight, but they were close, and never shy. The night before graduation though, something happened to tear Embry and Adam apart, and by extension the whole group.

Jeb’s been kept in the dark and has been stuck in the middle ever since. Until one day, hopped-up on painkillers from his broken wrist he summons them both.

Now, all back together again, tension is high, and secrets are about to be revealed. Their feelings for each other is the biggest of them all. But with a mission to help save Jeb’s tree farm to keep them moving forward, they may have a chance to mend the past and find an expected future.

Set in small-town Vermont with a host of amazing friends and one questionable goat., you’ll fall in love with this very poly farm region.

This was so well written. I loved all three of these guys so much. They were all complicated, deep, and funny, and they all brought something beautiful to the table. They were also fire together (I’m still fanning myself).

When I discovered at the end that our favourite firefighters would be getting their own story…well, I may have squealed again!

High steam, super sweet, best friends to lovers, holiday romance.

Jeb is one of the cutest, most adorable male characters I've read in awhile. He has this wholesome, naive, freshness about him that made him extremely likeable. Although I suppose, therein was the problem...if you want to call it that. Jeb was stuck in the middle of a feud between his best friends, Adam and Emery. Neither Adam nor Emery wanted to give up their friendship with Jeb because he truly is the nicest guy you ever would meet, but being stubborn as all get out, neither guy wanted to know about their existing friendship with Jeb because they are still bitter about something that blew up in their own past. It's complicated and pretty much gives Jeb an ulcer every time they visit. Sound the alert!! Both Adam and Emery are headed Jeb's way, but this time Jeb plans to fix what is broken.

You see, Jeb is the glue that holds their friendship together. That is very clear through the entire book. His sweet disposition is hard not to like, but the other two, while stubborn, okay, they also have great qualities, especially once we get past their....well, pasts. But back to sweet Jebbie...he might be more than just glue that holds the three of them together and holy hotness....Jeb, Adam, and Emery all coming together - wink, wink - is seriously hot!!

ILYBSM is sweet, super, super steamy, and filled with a bit of small town holiday magic that made this book a total joy to read. I loved slipping back and forth between the characters, the text messages, the past and present, meeting all of the colorful characters, and even the crazy goat made this entire story entertaining.

Now, I can I talk more about Jeb.....LOL😍

Jeb, Embry, and Adam warmed my heart.

This book was as sexy as it was adorable.
Each character had their own kind of captivating personality.
They were different, with unique qualities and particular backgrounds. But they all had the same aspiration: work out between them the wonderful friendship that turned into an even more wonderful romance story.

I loved their struggles. They were best friends who loved each other deeply. Yet, they had insecurities, kept secrets, argued, and struggled to make everything work and to understand not only each other but also themselves. It was real and relatable.
But the beauty is that, even though they had their issues to deal with, they were always willing to make it work, because their feelings came easily, their love blossomed organically, and their chemistry was off the charts.

ILYBSM: I Love You Both So Much is a good holiday romance filled with sweetness and warmth. A well-crafted polyamorous romance, this story gives time to each character and their relationships with one another, providing a good storyline, beautiful setting, and plenty of chemistry.

ILYBSM: I Love You Both So Much features three friends who forged a strong bond in college and is a quintessential "oblivious character" romance. It was cute watching these three realize that the secretive feelings they have always harbored were shared and returned. I thought the character development and roles in the relationship were well-balanced and the steamy scenes felt purposeful rather than gratuitous.

I also really loved the setting of ILYBSM: I Love You Both So Much. The tree farm and story behind Jeb trying to keep it running despite all his mishaps made him into one of those characters you want to hug while shaking your head. I really enjoyed seeing his two friends, and eventually, partners, Adam and Embry come together to try to help him have another successful winter season. Add in the interesting and eclectic secondary characters and Jeb's animal menagerie, and this was simply a fun, bright read that made me smile over and over.

If you like friends-to-lovers stories and are craving a good but lighter story with chemistry and some humor, ILYBSM: I Love You Both So Much is definitely worth the read.

I was given the honor of being an early reader… like WAY early… the pleasure of being a Beta Reader… and the absolute privilege of being a Proofreader.
Then I ordered the paperback so I’d have a cuddle copy.
I’ve read and loved this book FOUR times already & it’s not even “released” yet! That’s sayin’ something!
This book is everything! It gives and gives and gives.
With a super sexy group of BFFs, a hot doctor, 2 hot firefighters, 3 awesome neighbors, hot chocolate & chili, realistically flawed/perfect parents, a community in which I want to live, and Lyft drivers making WAY too much money, what more could you want??
But wait! There’s more!
THERE’S A CUTE A.F. DEMON GOAT!
I just can’t express how much you NEED to read this book!
It’s like Hallmark Christmas meets Porn Hub. Only SO much better!!!!!!
It gets ALL the stars!!!!

I Love You Both So Much is a christmas novel by J.E. birk, Rachel Ember and Leslie McAdam.

This is the story of Jeb, Adam and Embry who were best friends in high school and who realize 5 years later that there is more than friendship between them.

I was really excited to read an MMM book that takes place during the Christmas season. The story of these three men was cute, sweet and low-angst.

It was beautiful to see how each one had a role in their relationship and that they were equal in every way.

I loved and laughed at all the moments with Sherbert the Demon Goat.

My only criticism is that I would have liked a little more steam. Each sex scene ended a little too quickly and left me wanting more.

It still had all the feels you look for when reading a Christmas book and I enjoyed it.

ILYBSM! I loved this story so much! Jeb and Adam and Emery are perfect. These three have been friends for a long time until suddenly they weren’t anymore and Jeb is stuck in the middle. Now he needs help and he doesn’t want to ask for it. He is tired. But who better to help him than the two other people he cares about most?

So I did really enjoy this book but I did think it was a little too long and did drag at times. I’m not the biggest fan of a lot of internal dialogue that feels like it’s only there to drag out the plot, instead of offering more insight or forward movement.

I did genuinely enjoy all of the characters. I found each man to have relatable flaws but also each was endearing i their own unique ways. I also enjoyed several of the side characters. However, many felt like they might have been from other books because they were written as if we should know who they were already. I didn’t love that.

Jeb was kind of a dolt at times but he was such a hard worker and a wonderful friend. Adam was a bit pretentious but he would drop anything to help his friend. Emery was a bit of a grump but he was always willing to do what needed to be done. They all complimented each other well. I’m not sure how I felt about their big revelation talk because it felt a little convoluted. It still had an element of friendship that made it maybe to easy since Embry and Adam hasn’t spoken in 3 years.

The passion in this was very good but I wish it had been a tad more awkward just to add to the effect of Embry and Jeb never having been with a man in any way before. And I would think a 3 way would be kinda weird for anyone at first. But who knows.

2.5 stars. This was fun and cute, but ultimately not really my cup of tea. The premise was really great, a poly romance about three college friends who come back together after a fracture to help get a struggling Christmas tree farm back on its feet. I liked the things it said about friendship dynamics, and how hard it can be to be in the middle of friends having a fight, working out the things that drove you apart. And it was friends to lovers on all three legs of the triangle. That's my fave trope! But I don't know, it just wasn't vibing with me. It very much felt like a new adult book, even though they're all in their mid to late 20s, and I just don't enjoy those kinds of vibes. It just read a lot younger than I was expecting. None of the supposedly comedic parts actually made me laugh, and the whole gimmick about Jeb being clueless about what three-way meant was just a little silly to me, and not in a good way. There were lots of cute holiday activities and traditions, but maybe because I wasn't into the plot that much, it didn't give me those Christmassy feelings I wanted. The pacing wasn't my favourite either? Writing a book between three authors seems like a fun and challenging endeavour, and kudos to them for doing it, but again, this just wasn't my speed.

I loved it.

MMM is magnificent when it’s done properly. I just love all the ways that they fit together.

Jeb, Adam and Embry were best friends in college and never actually realised that they were flirting with each other and each had the hots for the others. The book doesn’t really go back and describe the events of those college days, instead, it’s their text message conversations from the time. In my opinion, the text exchanges showing the back story are perfect. They show the innocent and sweet developing of the friendship of the three way.

Present day, Jeb needs help with his Christmas tree farm. It’s the busiest time of the year and he’s got a broken arm and a demon goat. He needs his buddies more than anything but Adam and Embry had a massive falling out and can’t bear to be in each other’s presence.

But just like in Frozen they have to let it go. And oh boy, I love it when they let it go. Those boys are horny. Now I’m thinking about all the ways they fit together again. This one in this hole, this one in this hole and a partridge in a pear tree. I do like two in one but…it didn’t happen so I’m going to write my own epilogue.

This book also has the kudos of being the one that completes my 2022 Goodreads challenge.

This is such a fun holiday story. What starts out as a college friendship develops into so much more. Jeb, Adam and Embry are so different and yet fit so well. Since they have graduated college and gone on to live their lives in different places the closeness is not quite the same. Something happened between Adam and Embry that left them feuding and Jeb as the go between in this friendship. When Jeb has an accident, after his hospital visit, drunkenly on pain meds, he contacts his two best friends. They immediately drop everything to go help him. This relationship between them change as they spend time together. I had many a laugh reading this story and a few tears too. The goat is entertaining and the secondary characters add so much along the way. The hotness and romance is there and their relatives making an appearance adds to the overall holiday feeling. I can’t wait to read the next from them.

This was a nice Christmas story about 3 best friends that were basically in a platonic throuple in college while harboring secret crushes. When they come together to help Jeb run his family tree farm after breaking his arm, confessions are made. What I appreciated was that once things turned physical everything wasn’t just easy. There were bumps and fights and it made this real. I also loved the small town Feel and quirky people.

As much as I liked it, it was a bit slow paced at times. The sexy times were hot enough, but nothing spectacular. And it kinda bugged me that Jeb was so dead set on being independent and not asking for help and the fact he didn’t tell his parents what was going on or that they kinda knew and was just going to let him learn a lesson. Like, losing the tree farm is not a small life lesson. Anyway! I am intrigued enough by Doug that I will read next years book.

I Love You Both Do Much is a super steamy MMM romance story that will keep you engaged from the beginning until the end as Jeb, Emery and Adam finally come to terms with the mutual attraction they all have felt since they were college roommates. Now, years later when Jeb needed their help, Embry and Adam put aside there issues to help him out on his farm. Little did they all realize, but they all fantasized about each other and now their ‘3 way’ group from years earlier takes on a whole new meaning.
