This series is my absolute favorite Daddy series I’ve ever read. Each story continues to pull me into the world of this amazing family. What I’d give to be one of their littles! Maddox was no different. The story between him & Brynn was so sweet and loving. I’m not as big a fan of ABDL daddy books, but this one has just enough to keep me interested. I cannot wait for the next book in this series!

Another amazing addition to the Daddies of the Shadows series. Maddox by Kate Oliver is extremely swoon worthy.
Maddox and Brynn where made for each other.
After being orphaned at a young age, Brynn was moved into her aunt's house where she was treated like an unwanted child. She was thrust into the arms of Collin who promised her the world but then gave her nothing but torture and abuse. After escaping from Collin's clutches, Brynn struggles to get by and has built up walls around her heart to protect herself.
After rescuing Brynn from her ex, Maddox just knows he is the Daddy she needs and is determined to break down her walls and work his way into her heart. Maddox may be over protective and extremely possessive, but he will give Brynn everything she wants and needs and will protect her from all the evil in the world. After growing up with no family or love, Brynn finds all she has been missing with Maddox and the rest of the Daddies of the Shadows and their Little Girls.

I have inhaled this series after recently discovering it...having to wait for Maddox was SO hard!

I love the DDlg aspect being blended into rougher edges and darker corners....Kate balances them so well.

I love that it's not just a story for Brynn and Maddox, like with every book it's a story of the family, and the community they've built for themselves and their Littles. You get a glimpse at everyone with each book, so you never have to say goodbye.

Loved that Brynn was a younger Little, again Kate does a great job giving us a variety of dynamics within DDlg with each book in the series.

I've very excited to continue the series!

This is Book six in the Daddies of the Shadows series!
Maddox has watched his brothers fall in love with their perfect Little girls. Unfortunately he’s sure that no woman could love him once she realizes how obsessive and bossy he can be.
Brynn had a rough upbringing. Her parents passed when she was young and her aunt didn’t want to even know she was around. Her ex was an abusive jerk so she left him but now she’s working two jobs and living in a bad neighborhood.
Maddox sees her dancing in his club one night and the rest is history. Their story is heartwarming and sensual with a touch of drama (not OW). If you haven’t read the previous books you should but Maddox can be read as a stand alone. I can not wait for the next book!

Maddox is book 5 in the Daddies of the Shadows series. Each book has gotten better and better. Maddox and Brynn's story was no exception! The Daddies in these books are always protective and loving and will do anything for their Littles. Each relationship is similar and yet so different as each of the Littles bring different needs, wants and desires.

Maddox always loved being around his brother's Littles, and his father having found another special Little only makes him even happier. Yet under that happiness is a Daddy who wants and still thinks he doesn't deserve to have a Little of his own. He has a darkness to him. When he meets Brynn, he just knows she's meant to be his. But Brynn doesn't make it easy for him. She has a darkness in her past that keeps trying to creep in. When her safety is at stake, Maddox and his brothers step in and immediately do what they do best. Meanwhile Maddox coaxes Brynn's Little out and the two begin their incredible relationship as Daddy and Little.

As an ARC reader for Kate she never disappoints. I tell her every time that I love each book better than the last. It just keeps getting better and better. I read this in one day. This one has ABDL and I personally love that Kate includes different ages the Littles are.

By now if you have read every single one of Daddies of the Shadows you know Maddox. He is super sweet, extremely obsessive, demanding, everything you want a Daddy to be. Brynn has been struggling to just survive. Living in a terrible neighborhood, Maddox goes over the top protective of her. But when something dark from her past comes to get her, can Maddox and the other brothers save her?

Perfect mix of big and little times

I love how this author handles the DDLg dynamic. It's open and consensual with lots of checking in and no humiliation. I love the Shadows guys and their dedication to their families. I love how all the "Uncles" cherish the Littles, too. There is a great story and Daddies and Littles that are willing to take the leap to find their HEA. Very well done .

Kate Oliver, miss. You made my day with Maddox. I'm saying it now y'all! Maddox is mine! I love this series very much, each book in this series is amazing and if you like books like this, then you need to check it out.

Each book in the daddies of the shadows focuses on one couple, and of course we see the others as well. Maddox is by far my favorite daddy of this series for now. When you first meet Maddox he seems like a happy go lucky person and he always has a smile on his face, but deep down there's darkness in him as well.

With what happened in his past, Maddox doesn't think he'll meet or even have a little of his own like some of his brothers have. But then he meets Brynn, and everything changes for the both of them.

Tous les membres de sa famille semblent trouver l'amour de leur vie et ils n'arrêtent pas de lui dire que c'est son tour. Il sait qu'il ne peut pas être le prochain, car la dernière fois qu'il est tombé amoureux de quelqu'un, il a eu le cœur brisé et il n'est pas prêt à revivre cela. Selon son ex, il était trop obsessionnel, trop autoritaire, trop de tout. La meilleure solution est de ne plus jamais tomber amoureux. Mais quand la petite femme qui danse dans son club attire son attention, il ne semble pas pouvoir s'empêcher de penser à elle. Même s'il a renoncé à l'amour, il sait qu'il ne pourra pas tourner le dos à la femme qui ne cesse d'appeler son papa.

Regardant la piste de danse, il observa les gens bouger et tourner les uns avec les autres. Certains étaient visiblement ivres, et d'autres essayaient un peu trop fort d'impressionner qui qu'ils soient, mais pour la plupart, tout le monde semblait passer un bon moment.

Un désordre de boucles attira son attention alors que le corps attaché à ces boucles bougeait sans but avec ses bras s'agitant. Ses lèvres se retirèrent immédiatement en un sourire. Il la regarda bouger pendant plusieurs minutes et réalisa qu'elle dansait toute seule, même s'il ne savait pas vraiment si ce qu'elle faisait pouvait s'appeler de la danse. Quoi qu’il en soit, elle semblait passer un bon moment. Son rythme n'était pas celui de la musique, mais cela ne l'a pas arrêtée.

Il continuait à observer la femme, incapable de détourner son regard. Elle ne s'intégrait pas vraiment à la foule. Non pas qu’elle n’était pas belle, parce qu’elle l’était. Elle était putain de magnifique. Mais elle était différente du reste des femmes là-bas. Elle ne cherchait à impressionner personne. On aurait dit qu'elle bougeait son corps à son propre rythme.

« Qu'est-ce qu'elle fout là-bas ? Est-ce qu'elle se bat contre une abeille ou quelque chose comme ça ? » demanda Hawk, détournant son attention de la femme.

Regardant son frère, Maddox fronça les sourcils. "Quoi?"

Hawk désigna la femme que Maddox venait de surveiller. «Cette femme là-bas. On dirait qu'elle combat un essaim d'abeilles ou quelque chose du genre.

Maddox ne put s'empêcher de rire en se remettant à regarder la femme danser. On aurait vraiment dit qu'elle lui repoussait quelque chose, mais c'était tellement adorable qu'il se retrouva hypnotisé en la regardant. "Je pense qu'elle passe juste un bon moment à danser."

Hawk grommela quelque chose dans sa barbe mais ne dit rien de plus tandis que Maddox se forçait à détourner son regard de la femme et à scruter tout le club.

Toutes les quelques secondes, il se retrouvait à la chercher à nouveau sur la piste de danse. Les gens semblaient s'écarter de son chemin alors qu'elle se balançait. Il se demandait si elle était là avec des amis, mais depuis qu'il l'avait repérée pour la première fois, il ne l'avait vue parler à personne ni rester proche d'une foule de gens. Cela le dérangeait qu'elle soit seule là-bas. L'idée qu'elle soit là avec un homme le dérangeait encore plus.

"Hé, patron", dit l'un de ses barmans en s'approchant.

Se tournant vers l'homme, Maddox leva le menton. "Hé quoi de neuf?"

« Un des robinets est bouché. J'ai essayé de le nettoyer, mais il ne verse toujours pas de bière.

Passant sa main dans ses cheveux, Maddox hocha la tête. « Ouais, celui-là a été complètement foiré la semaine dernière. Chaque fois que je pense que c'est réparé, ça se bouche à nouveau. Je vais devoir appeler le distributeur pour venir le remplacer. D’ici là, proposez l’IPA au même prix.

La voix grave de Hawk interrompit leur conversation. "Madox, il se passe quelque chose là-bas."


En se retournant, Maddox baissa les yeux vers le premier étage et vit immédiatement la femme qu'il surveillait en train d'essayer de dégager son coude de l'emprise d'un homme. Il pouvait dire que l'homme lui criait dessus mais la musique était trop forte pour entendre ce qu'il disait.

"Eric, dis à la sécurité de me retrouver là-bas", lança-t-il à son barman alors qu'il commençait à se diriger vers les escaliers. Il savait sans même se retourner que Hawk était juste derrière lui. Son frère était peut-être un grincheux, mais il n'en restait pas moins un homme bon et ne restait pas les bras croisés pendant qu'une femme se faisait agresser.

Au moment où ils atteignirent le premier étage, il ne trouva ni la femme ni l'homme. Ivan, son chef de la sécurité, s'est avancé vers lui et lui a montré l'entrée principale du club.

"Elle s'est libérée et est partie en trombe et il l'a suivi", a-t-il crié.

Sans un mot, Maddox se dirigea vers l'avant du club et sortit de l'entrée, regardant à droite puis à gauche, repérant immédiatement la petite femme et le grand homme à environ un demi-pâté de maisons de là.

"Laisse-moi tranquille!" elle a crié.

« Je sais que tu l'as, putain, salope ! Où est-il? Hein? Dites-moi! Je vais te tuer, Brynn, je le jure devant Dieu, je vais te tuer, salope ! lui cria-t-il.

Avant même que Maddox ait pu crier, l'homme l'a attrapée par les bras et a commencé à la secouer en lui criant au visage.

"Hé!" Cria Maddox alors qu'il commençait à courir vers eux, suivi par Hawk et plusieurs de ses agents de sécurité.

L'homme les regarda, la libérant de son emprise alors que Maddox et Hawk approchaient.

"Qu'est-ce que tu veux, bordel ?" » demanda le gars en regardant les hommes de haut en bas avec un air renfrogné.

« Éloignez-vous d'elle. Elle ne veut visiblement pas de toi ! Maddox grogna.

Le gars haussa un sourcil et regarda la femme tremblante qui s'était reculée aussi loin que le trottoir le permettait, puis se tourna vers Maddox. Il savait que le gars avait l'intention de frapper l'un d'entre eux. Il ne savait tout simplement pas qui il envisageait de frapper. Alors que le gars retirait son bras et serrait le poing, Maddox sourit. Saisissant son poing alors qu'il avançait, il lui tordit le poignet jusqu'à ce que le gars hurle de douleur, puis le relâcha, lui lançant un crochet droit au visage.

"Putain! Mon oeil! Putain, tu vas payer pour ça ! Tu es un homme mort. Mort!" » a-t-il crié alors qu'il commençait à reculer, une de ses mains couvrant son œil tandis que du sang coulait de son nez.

Maddox s'avança, obligeant l'autre gars à se retourner et à courir. "Je te mets au défi de me tuer, enfoiré !"

Le gars a continué à courir puis a tourné au coin au bout du pâté de maisons.

"Suis-le!" Maddox a crié à sa sécurité alors qu'il s'approchait de la femme.

S'arrêtant devant elle, il l'étudia alors qu'elle passait sa main de haut en bas sur ses biceps déjà meurtris, puis essuyait les larmes qui coulaient sur ses joues avec l'autre.

"Hé, chérie, ça va?" Il a demandé.

La femme poussa un sanglot et se jeta pratiquement dans ses bras, tout son corps tremblant contre le sien. Enroulant ses bras autour d'elle, Maddox la tint et la laissa pleurer pendant plusieurs minutes, caressant lentement le haut de son dos.

«Chut… je t'ai compris. Je t'ai eu, chérie. Respirer. Bonne fille."

The Daddies of the Shadows books never let me down! Such a good series!

This is Maddox’ story. He’s ultra caring, possessive and protective and meets the perfect Little for him in Brynn. She’s had a bad time of it and is wary but once they overcome their obstacles they make a great duo.

As per normal with the series you have fun, family, friendship, danger and delicious Daddy goodness.

I thought it couldn’t get any better!!

I have been patiently waiting for Maddox story since we were first introduced to him! And Kate didn’t disappoint. I fell in love with him as Uncle Maddox, but Daddy Maddox is even better. Brynn and Maddox quickly stole my heart and I’m even more excited to continue to see them grow throughout the next books.
I’m beyond excited to see Dr. Daddy Tate get his happy ever after.
You killed it Kate and I can’t wait to continue the series!

Brynn is absolutely adorable and my heart went out to her time and time again. Especially before she was in the care of Maddox. I just wanted to reach through my screen and hug her. Struggling to rebuild her life after running away from her abu$ive gang leader of a boyfriend (the one her aunt/her guardian threw her into the arms of when she was a sophomore in high school and he was 20 years old) Brynn is working two jobs in hiding and trying to make ends meet while also trying to make time for her Little.

Brynn meets Maddox at Shadows, a club he owns. He spots her on the dance floor dancing offbeat while moving her hands in the air. To him she looks like she’s having the time of her life, carefree but to his brother Hawk she looks like she’s fighting off bees, LOL. Moments later the brothers both spot Brynn struggling to get away from her ex-boyfriend as he tugs her arm.

That’s how the two met but didn’t officially meet until Maddox and his brothers came to the dinner she worked out.

The relationship started from there, I would consider the book an Insta-love but it took its time to develop. Rightfully so because she’s just came out of a toxic relationship and she’s on the run from her ex. So she kept pushing Maddox away even though she likes him but instead of letting her heart lead her she was using her head and being cautious and I honestly loved that about her.

I felt like Brynn and I were on the same page. I dislike other stories that were similar because the heroine would dive head first into a relationship with a man she barely knew right after getting out of an abusive one. There were many times in this book I was like, “Yess, Brynn you’re being safe” even though I knew Maddox and couldn’t wait for them to get together. I knew Maddie was a sweetheart and was super safe for her due to the dual pov of this book.

Maddox's past relationship described him as obsessive and overbearing but learning his past and his reasonings. Maddox comes from a good place and he has such an amazing heart. As a minor, Maddox's biological father mürdered his mother and sister and tried to k!ll him as well. Maddox grew up with the guilt of feeling that wasn’t there to protect his loved ones. So that led to him becoming a vigilante; wanting to protect the weak from predators like his father. That’s why he’s obsessive, that’s why he's always on guard and has the need to know everything because he doesn’t want history to repeat itself.

It’s why he makes a perfect daddy for Brynn; she grew up lacking love and attention and to her his actions proves to her that he actually cares and loves her.

Overall, I enjoyed this book. I’m happy Brynn has found family with Maddox and his. That she finally has friends and people that care for her and she can build bonds.
Side characters I’m interested in reading about next are Hawk's story along with Wolf and Lucy’s story.

Brynn comes to The Cage where Maddox sees her dancing alone. He's drawn to her but he does not know why. When her ex comes up to her in the club and drags her out, Maddox and his brothers go after them. Brynn has been hiding from her ex. When Maddox next sees her, she is working at one of her waitressing jobs. She gets hurt and Maddox takes over her care. Will she let him? Why is her ex after her? Can Maddox protect her?

I liked this book. Brynn has a crummy ex. I can understand why she has no trust or faith in others. As Maddox does nice things for her, she gradually opens up about her life with her ex. When Maddox and his brothers find out the ex is involved with hurting others, they go after him with the assistance of Declan. I liked watching them get the ex.

I liked that Maddox was able to reassure Brynn that if something didn't work for them, they'd figure it out and try something else. It's the first time I've read a book where the little goes further back than three or four years old. I like seeing the range of ages with the Littles in this series.

I am loving this series and these characters. Not sure yet which one I like best.

I have been waiting for Maddox. Not like I’ve been waiting for Colt or was for Wolf, but I was very excited for this one! I liked what we saw of Maddox in the background. He was funny and sweet and yes over the top protective but like I was ready.
I was kinda hoping he got a little that didn’t know she was a little but this was good too. It was nice to see a range in that more in this book than any other. Brynn was maybe a little too quick to let stuff go but I know it didn’t fully go away and I liked that as it seemed realistic.

Tropes: touch her and d!e(duh), over protective MMC, insta love, hurt/comfort, she resists him at first, he kinda st*lks her, she lives on the bad side of town/ he rescues her, scares people who hurt her, very Cinderella vibes like a chunk of these books

Brynn was is a terrible state. Trying to take care of herself and working two jobs just to keep a crummy apartment in the worst part of town; all the while hiding from her hideous ex-boyfriend. Maddox owns the nightclub Shaddows and it was just his luck to find Brynn when she did run into her ex and saved her from him. But she was too scared to trust him yet. It wasn’t until the second time he tan into her at the restaurant she was working and got hurt that he was finally able to care for her. Maddox was a person that is obsessed with the person he is with to the point of smothering them. Brynn is someone that needs constant looking after and reassurance. Two pieces of a puzzle that fit together. The question is can Maddox and his brothers take care of the ex before he hurts anyone else?

She fled an abusive relationship with Collin McCormick, the leader of a small gang dealing in human trafficking. He is one of the men in the Daddies of Shadows and owns a nightclub The Shadows. Ms. Oliver does a remarkable job with this age-play romantic. I enjoyed her skill with creating multi-dimensional leading characters that are strong, determined, confident yet vulnerable. It is captivating to see how she captures their growth as this story progresses, Lastly, I appreciate Ms. Oliver’s skill with descriptive scenes further pull her readers into her captivating tale. Nicely done, Ms. Oliver.

My heart be still! I’m still swooning after reading Maddox and Brynn’s story! Wow! He is so alpha and all kinds of protective and must definitely hot! Each story in this series just gets better and better! Maddox owns the Shadows Club and feels he will never find his Little because of how possessive he can be. But when he meets Brynn he is thrown for a loop! She is absolutely perfect for him. Her character is so endearing that I just wanted to jump into the pages and hug her! I enjoyed their interactions and how much Maddox is devoted to her. I have to say, this series is incredible and I need more!

Yay! Another awesome story from Kate Oliver. This series has become a very favorite of mine. Daddy Doms who are tough, muscled, tattooed up and will ultimately melt for the Little who comes into their lives. Maddox and Brynn's story was perfection. I loved that he took his time with her while coaxing her little out and that he was there for her, no matter what. This series is so much fun to read with all the Daddy's and Little's running around. I've enjoyed each and every book. Can Maddox save his Brynnie Bear from her ex and his gang? So good, you won't want to put it down.

This one is my fav so far with Wolf's book next in line. Maddox has a tendency to obsess and be very demanding. Brynn wants to live carefree but on the run from her ex and working two jobs kinda makes that hard to do. Maddox is there for her but she's so scared of getting hurt again or worse, put him and his family in danger. But Maddox won't take no for an answer because he can see what she wants and needs, he so desperately wants to give this to her. So so so sweet! I loved Hawk in this book with Brynn.

Maddox is the 6th book in the Daddies of the Shadows series! Each book is a standalone story but I guarantee you once you get started you won't be able to read just one. This group of Daddies is bossy, obsessed and absolutely in love with their little and Maddox is no exception. Brynn is his Little and she is the youngest and sweetest of all the ladies. Keep them coming Kate Oliver I'm here for all 10 books. I'm reading each and everyone of them before enjoying the Javier family vacation trip to the Rawhide Ranch (A Little 4th of July Fiasco: A Holidays At Rawhide Ranch Story).

Maddox finds his forever little

Maddox is the fancy but lethal brother, who gave up a longtime ago with finding his little after having his heart crushed years before left him feeling he could never be a good daddy to anyone. That all changed the night Brynn came into Shadows & a guy wouldn’t leave her alone lol, that’s when Maddox & his brothers stepped into action saving Brynn from her ex boyfriend Collin. She was scared & was never shown love & kindness, if she will give Maddox a chance she’ll never feel unloved ever again.

Maddox & Brynn! Every book I'm like they are my favorite couple, then the next book comes along and I fall in love all over again. Standard damsel in destress, but so sweet. I love Maddox, he's one of my favorite Daddies, oh who am I kidding, they are ALL my favorite. Maddox rescues Brynn from a life where everyone she cared about treated her like complete crap. Can Maddox show her how special she is? Of course he can!! Another lovely one from kate! On to COLT!
